Hour 1: we focus on the history of giant robot. What it was like within their day to day business operation in the garage. All kinds of insane stories from jet li coming down for an interview to martin wong getting out of jury duty and facing judge lance ito and telling him he cant leave giant robot because of jury duty to martin being the sole one man army behind it all. Well martin gets off! Hour 2: classic los Angeles nista format geography silverlake. Martin has been a resident pre internet and pre hipster. Martin used to take the bus from his dorm at ucla to venues such as the whiskey to see bands like guns n roses. Or to tower on sunset to see david lee roth climb a wall facade that looks like the cover of his album sky scraper. Martin likes to skateboard in the bronson ditch where they filmed thrashin and he will tell you where to go eat the best vegetarian chinese food in san Gabriel. SASSAFRAS is an example of one of those bands and since they came on the scene a few years ago, they have been paying dues, working hard, and cranking out some of the best kickass rock music Los Angeles has to offer, symbolizing what it means to rock out correctly and setting an example of a great L.A. band. On this episode of The MorMusic Radio Pod we welcome Sassafras back to Skidrow Studios for some more fun hanging out as we shoot the shit, take some calls, and Sassafras shows us what they do best and blow the roof off the place with a few songs performed live in studio!
