Mark and Josi welcomed Sahhira Syn and Vyper Synville of Syn City Bellydance and bearded drag queen Scott Heirman to the lighter side of the dark side.
Saahira talked about discovering the art of belly dance 10 years ago, how she met her platonic soulmate Vyper on Facebook which resulted in the placing of banana bread in a strange part of the anatomy, what she looks for in a man, how she may be the inspiration for the movie Frankenhooker, described the post-apocalyptic party that is Wasteland Weekend and gave a belly dance demonstration.
Vyper talked about how he transitioned from ballet and more traditional dance to belly dance, what it is like being a male belly dancer, gave his genealogy which was quite extensive and covered most of the world, how envious he is of Alan Cumming’s name, how he plans to get on The Jerry Springer show, how using his whole body he is able to give the illusion of isolating stomach muscles and danced himself in an ornate Native American headdress.
Scott talked about growing up as an orphan in Kentucky, how he lost 150 pounds by in part running on a treadmill in heels, the various side effects being part of a clinical trial for schizophrenia, the art of the tuck, inspiring little girls to wanting to be drag queens and how he is not jaded yet in his 6 months in Hollywood so far.
