And I don't know how far that goes.
I think Notre Dame has a great offense.
You have a quarterback that's more than willing and able to control the pace of the game.
You have Alabama who's very well-rounded.
Mind you.
They had a hot start.
I'm not a big fan of hot starts just because it's not about how you start.
It's about how you finish.
I've learned that the hard way.
The thing about Alabama is they're just kind of like a finely tuned machine.
But we have that defense as well.
That's what we're also not acknowledging.
It's not like we can't hang with Bama's defense.
We might even have a better defense than Bama.
Then it's going to come down to offense.
I think our offense is good enough to definitely beat them by three touches.
Our offense could definitely get a move in.
Can you stop the Bama to run?
They're going to roll tide.
They will not be rolling tide.
100%.
If you guys make the bowl game, you want to have a straight-ish.
You want to bet slaps?
I would bet slaps on the whole guy.
I created a monster.
First, we have to throw down Matt Barkley at home.
Then it's on to the national pen.
Real quick.
That's not impressive.
I'm obviously a Notre Dame fan.
What about the significance of Kansas State losing, Oregon losing, Bama immediately right back holding their own destiny after what looked like a season possibly ending loss.
That's huge.
It's fortunate for them.
I really thought Baylor had a chance to beat Kansas State, so that one didn't surprise me.
The Oregon one surprised me.
That surprised me as well.
I was not expecting Stanford to take that.
Baylor shocked me more.
I knew Stanford had in to beat a big squad.
They've shown it this year.
With who?
They beat USC.
They took Notre Dame to overtime, which they should have won that game.
It looked different then, but now that they're 11-0, it looks a lot better of a close game than it was back then.
I should have taught college football when we first started.
I think USC is way overrated.
They are.
They started way overrated, and they've proven it.
When Stanford beat USC, and Matt Barkley has the worst record against Stanford, not impressed.
It didn't help that a lot of analysts early on preseason were calling them possibly one of the best offenses ever in college football.
It just gave them a high level that they couldn't match up to.
They haven't been able to prove anything for the longest.
It's all on paper.
They didn't prove it on the field, so that's why they are where they are now.
But Stanford took what was the number one team, or two teams, or three teams in the country, Oregon, to overtime.
And they took Notre Dame, which is now the number one team, to overtime.
And they beat USC when they were ranked high.
So yeah, they've proven that they can show up to the big games, is all I'm saying.
Yeah, I acknowledge that.
I can acknowledge that.
I don't know...
Baylor, though, by 28.
That's a scrape.
Was that the biggest upset of the week?
That's like you beat your junk friend down because he went too hard one night.
That was like...
Like I beat Jake down.
We're back on track, Lou.
We're back on track.
We know Notre Dame.
Yeah, well, my upset of the week for sure would have been Stanford over Oregon.
I would have not foreseen that one.
Their best player plays in the NFL.
Yeah.
That's still the only guy on Baylor that I know.
Dave and other Baylor players.
You wouldn't go UCLA versus USC?
No, I wouldn't, actually.
I called UCLA to win that game, also.
A bunch of people did.
Yeah, a bunch of people.
Everybody who knows USC football does serious trash.
Yeah, UCLA just seems to show up when that rivalry game rolls around.
I thought, no, that's not true at all.
They lost 12 of the last 13.
Like, you totally had to think that was me.
But they usually show up to play.
No, I feel you.
You show up to play, but over the last 15 years, it's been very lopsided.
So to me, I think...
But the last win was in 2006, by the way.
That's the last time...
But that's one out of 13, though.
That's a lot of games.
Like, I know you come to play hard every year, but if you're one for 13, you're not playing hard enough then.
I mean, I would have much preferred to see both teams at their peak.
Right now, USC is not supplying that whatsoever.
I was still shocked by it.
I'm not a SC fan.
I don't hate SC, though.
I'm not as big on the rivalry with Notre Dame SC.
Like, I like Notre Dame, but I don't hate SC.
I was pretty surprised that they lost, though, to be honest.
I thought the way they lost, I thought going out and being down, you know, 24 points, that was shocking.
I mean, I don't think anybody called that.
Whether or not you called the game, you know, 24-0, nobody saw that coming.
Yeah, it was a total...
It was a heartbreaker if you're a USC fan because that comeback run was building up a lot of momentum.
It was happening.
And then it didn't happen.
I mean, I was thinking...
A lot of people in the area are really sad about that.
Yeah, I mean, at halftime, I was just thinking, man, you know the USC coaches, like, hey, you guys got to pick up that D because you guys are allowing way too many runs.
Easy open runs, man.
Easy open runs.
And sloppy tackles as well on the USC defense.
So that offense picked it up.
Got to give credit where credit's due.
Matt Barkley did get, what, two?
Get picked twice?
Three times.
Two or three.
Two or three.
Where is he going in the draft now?
That's a big discussion.
Not high.
You don't think so?
Hell no.
He's a first-round quarterback.
But he's still considered one of the better quarterbacks.
He'll be a late-rounder, though.
He'll definitely...
He'll be towards the end of the round.
I just think quarterbacks aren't that good this year.
Like, last year was the year to be in on that.
Like, this year's going to be kind of the year to find, you know, more of, you know, specialty players.
Last year, we knew Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin, third.
One way or the other, they're going one and two.
Bob should have definitely won this tournament.
Bob should have definitely won.
You know what?
Barkley, you get picked up by the Jets as they relieve Tebow, and then they have a whole USC quarterback thing going on.
Wouldn't that be beautiful?
That'd be okay.
Bring over Carson Palmer to back up.
I know.
But you're saying that he should go where?
He just enrolls for a graduate program.
If you would go...
If any team could pick up Mac Barkley, a late pick, it would probably be the Jets.
Oh, that would be terrible.
Yeah, it would be terrible.
That would be...
They're a designated quarterback.
They already have one USC alumni.
Why not another one?
Marky Mark.
Well, Tebow's not going to be there next year.
No, he's not.
Who knows if Mark Sanchez is even going to be there?
He's having a terrible year as well.
Rex Ryan might not be there next year.
Rex?
Rex Ryan, I think, is the big problem.
Rex Ryan is a junk.
If you're going to make guarantees, you need to make guarantees.
You know what I'm saying?
You can't look your kid in the eye and be like, look, one day I'm going to take care of you.
You've got to show up.
You know what I'm saying?
You looked me in the eye and you said, I'm going to do this.
You know what I'm saying?
He might need to be knocked down to a D coordinator for a little while.
He needs to be...
Just like his brother?
Actually, why not Bob Ryan take over the Dallas job and Rex Ryan comes on to his staff?
That would be a crazy...
Trading places.
Dallas would become a complete circus.
They don't want that.
They don't need that.
Jerry wants that.
Jerry does want that.
He has 105,000 stadiums.
He's a big time junk.
A Texas junk.
Texas size junk.
Yeah, the Dallas junks.
America's team, everybody.
Hey, Lou, I know why you're on the line.
I know you want to talk about that MVP.
Oh, I'm sorry to petition to have Bud Selig remove the commissioner to allow such a travesty as to have Miguel Cabrera win over Mike Johnson.
Lou, the man was...
I'll move.
Are you serious right now?
We'll move on to that.
I hope we get back to MMA.
You die hard if you guys take this from me.
Either way, the awards that came out this week, Rookie of the Year Award goes to Trout and Harper.
I don't know about Trout, but...
Get out of here.
What?
I have no idea if Trout really deserves that.
No, that was a no-brainer.
Easy.
Bryce Harper.
I want to talk about that a little bit.
I mean, a lot of people have been making a big deal about Trout being robbed or something like that.
He was not robbed.
He was not robbed.
He was not robbed.
He was not robbed.
Here's the thing.
Yeah, there's a great rookie every year.
A guy doesn't win the Triple Crown every single year.
Did you read my post on Sports Nation?
Is that what happened?
Is that what I said?
He wasn't just a great rookie, though.
I think so.
He set rookie records.
Yeah.
A Triple Crown happened.
But you're in the major leagues.
There shouldn't be a rookie in front of anything.
You're not a rookie player.
You're an MLB player.
So you're compared to everybody else the same way.
And it's always been a part of it.
I can only ask you one question, Lou, and it will decide this.
When is the last time somebody won a Triple Crown?
He wasn't alive.
It was like 46 years ago.
Oh, Lou.
That's been a long time.
Triple Crown is not an MVP.
That's a long time.
The game has changed, man.
The game has changed.
The pitching style has been changed as well.
The game has changed.
And also, it's all about momentum.
I'm sorry, Lou, real quick.
It's about, in my opinion, momentum, too, because at the end of the season, I know Trout fell to hitting like 280 in September, and that's when Detroit started taking off and Miguel started, you know, hitting his run.
Look at his number seventh inning on.
Nobody else was doing that.
I mean, Lou, you're an Angel fan.
You're a junk.
You also have to look about who was batting around them.
I'm sorry.
Those on-base percentages, like, they matter.
Albert Pujols is on his team.
Yeah.
And he was having a bad year.
What?
He has 37 months in the Dodgers already?
Lou, you are a junk.
I wish every player had that kind of bad year on the Dodgers.
We would win a World Series.
I think we're in consensus here that you're a junk.
Yeah, we're not the kind of bad.
Lou, you are way out of bounds.
The Dodgers are making similar moves this year.
Well, the other thing that shows is, hey, you guys are didn't even make it to the wild card.
Yeah.
And Trout.
Neither did you.
We were playing in a better division.
But we weren't slated to at the beginning of the year.
We have another call.
We have another call.
I hope somebody's trying to take you out, man.
So who's our new call?
You're in the sports booth.
I'm Justin from Sarcastic News.
Young Justin.
Justin, our new partner in Sarcastic News.
Check that out.
Sarcastic-news.com.
Are you listening to this, Justin?
Oh, yeah.
Well, I left a Lou talking trash about...
That's why I remember.
Yeah, man.
So Lou's still...
I mean, you didn't miss much then.
Lou's still trying to take Cabrera's MVP away from him somehow.
Lou, are you still there?
Yeah, I'm right here, dude.
Hey, Eldrick.
Is it normal for most of your callers to smoke crack before your call?
Oh!
I can't hear you at all.
I can't hear you at all.
I literally cannot hear what he said.
Because you were hitting your pipe, Lou.
Yeah.
Lou, I want to hear your reason.
What was this?
What was this other junk doing that we couldn't hear him?
He was calling you out about being a junk.
Lou, what is your reasoning for wanting to...
for Trout getting snubbed on this?
Like, are you buying into the whole sabermetrics?
No, no.
Well, I knew Cabrera was going to win.
I didn't fucking go into it thinking that he was going to...
that it was going to be any other way because I knew that it was also a movement of people trying to rebel against the whole sabermetrics thing because there's still people mad...
There's still people mad that Felix Hernandez won a Cy Young.
Lou, I want to ask...
It's a triple crown.
Lou, I want to ask you a serious question right now.
Okay.
Who won the triple crown this year?
Miguel Cabrera.
Who was the best in all three categories that we've judged baseball on in the last hundred years as the best offensive categories?
He's won every single one of those.
If your boy couldn't even get on base, he couldn't have a better batting average than him.
And Miguel Cabrera's slow as...
You say he played a month less.
I'm simply saying you just have to look at it in a comparative...
It's called an average.
So his average should be better.
It doesn't matter because he played a month less.
Your average is still your average.
You should get more at bats.
And even if he fell off like Lou at a bar.
No, also if Cabrera could play more in Angel Stadium, he wouldn't have hit as many home runs.
Probably.
Hey, that's true.
He really wouldn't have.
He doesn't play for the Angels.
Most of the home runs at home could not have made it out of the Angels ballpark.
Maybe.
I don't know.
No, those are actual numbers.
No, they're not actual numbers.
Those are suggestions.
They are real numbers.
I'll email you the actual way to verify that if you write.
They would have won the World Series, man.
That makes no sense.
That's fact.
It absolutely does.
He wouldn't hit it out of Angel Stadium.
That's not a fact because he's not playing at Angel Stadium.
No, he wouldn't because...
He hit more home runs than Trout.
He hit more RBI's than the better average.
He wouldn't have made it out of the stadium.
Miguel Cabrera was better than Trout.
I'll send you the research.
Send me the research by a fellow Angel fan.
I'm going to send you a link from ESPN.com that has Miguel Cabrera's batting average, home run, and RBI's.
And then my second link will have Trout's.
I'm going to send you another one that makes the best compelling case for it.
Compelling case.
Great.
It's not a murder trial.
He just wasn't the MVP.
Well, that's how we treat the numbers, though.
Hey, on the bright side, Trout has a whole career ahead of him.
Yeah, Trout's a rookie.
He'll get his MVP.
Oh, I know that.
But he didn't win the Triple Crown.
He won't get the MVP.
He didn't deserve it.
Any other year, I'd be fine with giving it to him.
Fine.
You can have your opinion, but that's not going to change my thought.
I think that's also your opinion.
I just want to let you guys know.
I just want to let you guys know.
Lou just texted me.
He said, Tupac's still alive.
He's kidding.
He just came out with another album.
That might be a possibility.
He's on your head.
Show us the numbers, Lou.
I mean, can you prove that was a hologram?
Can you prove that was a hologram?
Can you prove that he could hit it out of Angel Stadium?
Could you?
Actually, you could based on the numbers of how far his home runs were.
You're absolutely right.
Yeah, you could actually judge distances.
I don't know if you understand that.
You could record the distance of ball travels and then apply that to how big a ballpark is.
If we could measure who could hit the ball harder, I don't think either one of them would be the MVP.
That's how the award was based.
I mean, do you guys have any arguments with anything else?
Trout Harper winning Rookie of the Year.
Obviously, Cabrera's the only one that's been a hot topic.
Posey winning it for the NL.
I thought they got pretty much all of them right.
The one I would say...
David Price surprised me for the Cy Young, though.
Who are you thinking?
Verlander?
Not really.
I thought the ERA kind of put him over the top.
Dickey surprised me.
I'm just going to put it out there.
I actually thought Verlander was going to I think Dickey was a great story and I had a lot of reasons and I'm not against that.
That's cool.
I think that helps, though.
I think that helps because if you look at the numbers, you could have went Kershaw, you could have went Geo.
There were other guys who...
And Dickey started off real good, but he didn't finish that good.
And usually a Cy Young winner does finish well.
You know how these things go.
Kershaw's very young.
He's going to get his chances.
I'm cool with it, but I'm just saying that kind of surprised me.
And Bryce Harper surprised me because I also thought they gave it to him at the start of the year without really looking up.
Todd Frazier on the Reds, when Voto went out, he came through.
He had like 20 home runs, 70 RBIs, and he kind of went under the radar and we didn't talk about it because Bryce...
That whole team went under the radar.
Yeah, that's true.
I think Bryce Harper had it more impressive.
Hugh Darvish, too.
He's in for sure.
Didn't even get any consideration.
Yeah, I would have gave it to him over Trout.
Well, I mean, just as a pitcher, you play less anyway, so it's harder to...
Yeah, I mean, you should have probably won the NBA of the year.
Hugh was better than Trout, too.
I'd rather have you looking forward.
Yeah, absolutely, actually.
All right.
I mean, that's as much time as I'm going to spend on MLB.
I don't want to talk about Cabrera anymore.
We're done.
I think that's it.
I want to ask you guys real quick about college football.
Who do you guys have playing in the national championship?
Well, we...
Yeah.
I'm biased because I'm a Notre Dame fan, so I'm going to go Notre Dame, and I'm going to...
I'm going to put an upset in there and say maybe Georgia could beat Bama on a...
Like, I think Bama will look more towards the national championship and forget about Georgia, and I think Georgia will sneak in.
Wow, that's a...
Notre Dame, Georgia.
I got Bama and the Dames.
Yeah.
That'd be the obvious one.
Just based on what it is now.
On what it is now.
Yeah, I think that's what's going to turn out to be a little...
Ultimately, I think.
Yeah.
I think they're the two best teams.
I don't know.
Will was telling me earlier that he thinks that USC's going to win it all.
Based on numbers, right?
Yeah, based on...
If they played at Notre Dame, they'd win a lot more games.
Actually, based on numbers, yeah.
If they played in South Bend, they'd win a lot more games.
That's based on fact.
Yeah.
Yeah, I would have to go Notre Dame, Bama to be safe.
You know, my only other wild card that I'd look out for would be Oregon.
I don't know if they would...
If they could still sneak back in there.
If they could sneak back in there.
They didn't lose a big game.
They didn't.
Like, Kansas State lost a big game by a lot.
Well, Oregon's next game is big.
Oregon's next game is big, so I don't know.
How about my Florida State Seminoles?
We only have one loss.
We lost by one point to NC State.
This is why we need a playoff.
We need a playoff system.
I think you should be in there.
I think you should definitely get consideration, but they're going to always...
Like, you know, they're going to give it to a team that was in the National Championship last year, like Bama.
You know?
Yeah, but even were there a playoff, they'd still...
There'd still be arguments about, oh, certain teams got snubbed.
Florida State would probably make that four, though, if they won out.
Yeah.
I think so.
What's their rank right now?
They're like three?
Florida State's like eight.
Florida State's eight or nine.
Oh, eight.
Yeah.
But if they win out, though, I think they move up quite a bit.
Yeah.
Yeah, they could end up as five, I think.
But at this point, if you're nine, you're not getting to the National Championship with two games to go.
You have to be at least in that top five to even start thinking about possibilities.
Yeah, I haven't heard you guys talk about the Clippers one time.
You haven't been tuning in, then.
We talked about the Clippers.
We had a good theory last week.
If you want to check out that show about how they're...
That's a good time bond.
Every five shows.
Every five shows, guys.
Go to NBA.
Yeah, let's go to NBA.
I'm going to go down my rundown the way I have it.
I promise you we'll talk to the Clippers.
But, you know, before the Clippers, I'm always going to talk about the Lakers.
I don't care.
I'm doing the rundown.
I'm going to do it that way every time.
I feel you, dog.
I feel you.
That's it.
It's your thing.
So, the new look.
New look, Lakers.
I'm doing that twice.
After last week, can we say they've turned it around a little bit?
Did you guys talk about D'Antoni last week?
Yeah, a little bit.
Yeah, I don't know what you were doing.
You were like, you know...
Oh, I was just having something.
Oh, he was...
He was, yeah.
Alka-Seltzer and a ginger ale.
A gentleman's...
I had a gentleman's night in.
Yeah.
All right.
Well, after last week, they're still part of their homestand.
They play Houston today.
They've lost one and they're still 1-3, right?
Yes.
Lost one, 1-3.
Lost to the Spurs.
They lost to the Spurs.
Barely.
They barely lost to the Spurs.
They looked good.
I had an argument with a Clippers fan about looking at a loss.
And I, before the game started, I'm like, they're probably going to lose this game.
But what I want more than anything is for them to keep it close.
And if they lose, to keep it within a five-point margin.
That'll let me know that they've improved because they're keeping up with the Spurs.
They're keeping up with them.
And it turns out that down to the last shot, that's exactly what happened.
Not only keeping up, but holding them to 84 points.
I think the Spurs were the number one scoring team in the league.
Number one or two.
Yeah, they're up there.
They were way up there.
So that was great.
Yeah, babe.
I love their defense.
I love their game.
That last shot, I mean, I can't, you can argue that it was such a tight game that the last shot was the most, that important.
But I also believe you don't lose a game by a shot.
You lose it by the, collectively, all the ones that you've missed.
Turnovers.
And the turnovers.
The turnovers were killing.
Yeah.
That was a close game.
I loved it.
It was good stuff.
I don't, I don't personally, because I wasn't here last week, so I'm just saying, I don't understand why it necessarily couldn't work with Mike Brown.
I think it was a little premature to fire him.
But at the same time, I think five games is, I mean, 10 games at least, like in my opinion, but that's neither here nor there.
For some reason, it wasn't clicking with Mike Brown.
And for some reason, the team's happier.
And that's why they're, you know, that's just the honest reason.
I think there's some, I don't think Mike Brown's a bad coach.
I just don't think he was the right coach for the Lakers.
I think he's a good coach.
I think he's a great coach.
He just wasn't the right guy here.
And the thing, I mean, we, people talk about our defense this year.
Our defense was fine last year.
You know, a lot of it had to do with Derek Fisher being broken down.
And, you know, we looked pretty good with Morris back there, you know, staying in front of Tony Parker.
You guys needed a tough guy, though.
Mike Brown's a nice guy.
You know, Phil Jackson's just, you know, you need that, like, disciplinarian, you know, like, you can't have a Mike Brown.
Because Kobe, he's above everybody in his head of the game.
Like, Phil was that last guy that he wasn't above in the game right now.
You know, it's like him, Tim Duncan, Popovich, like, those are the guys who are considered probably, like, the best, you know, basketball, like, active people in the game.
I think he looks up to D and Tony, though.
That's why I'm saying that maybe.
You know, we were talking about turnovers, but him bringing in that offensive system, that'll definitely cut down on that.
It's not our defense, it's our offense.
As Laker fans, how upset were you about the Phil Jackson?
Not upset at all.
I was just wondering that his name was brought up because they should have left it out.
I think Jim Buss scares easy is a big problem.
Jim Buss is a simp.
I'll knock that guy out.
Yeah, he's basically 0 for 3 in picking coaches at this moment in time.
Do you think D and Tony's a bad choice?
No, it's a great choice.
No, no, I think he'll do well, but let's be honest, he's not going to put together that team or hold together that team the way Phil Jackson did.
Well, he hasn't even stepped on the court yet.
I don't think he can.
It's not a fair comparison.
Nobody would.
Yeah, nobody would judge people to Phil.
Like, yeah.
I think, Phil went in, from what I was hearing, like a little too much of a luxury job, like a halfway retirement.
Well, that's not even all confirmed, though, about whether or not he was going to be No, that's not, but you need to be 100% in.
You need to be 100% in, though, and if he was at any point like not 100% in, it's not going to work.
I don't care how many championships he's in.
A lot of those demands, you know, they said that they weren't true, but if you remember last time Phil was here, he didn't want to do the road game, so I'm not sold that they weren't all real.
That's a saving face.
Jay, why were you, just that Phil's name was put in the mix and that he wasn't hired is what got you mad.
What about that?
Yeah, they, we're all hyped up.
We think we're going to get our old coach back.
Everything's going to be good, and then we learned that Jim Buss calls up Phil Jackson at 12, 12 at midnight, and, which you absolutely should not be doing, and, Any household.
Don't just call, don't just call somebody, hey, you're not getting hired.
I'm hella wet right now.
Oh my God.
Yeah, I was more upset that they were like drunk wet.
The organization handled that.
Why would you tell, why would you tell us that you're having meetings with Phil Jackson and then not give the man 24 hours to even sleep on it and then make your decision?
Well, because he was tired of the fan base getting on his head.
That's why I'm saying about Jim Buss scaring easy is he was pressured just by the, like, overall reaction from the fans about how this change needs to happen now.
So it was just, I think, all an effort to kind of quiet us down by saying like, oh, we're in talks with Phil.
So you think it was all just a game?
I think it's really just too personal between those two guys.
Sounds like, I don't think that was...
that you're describing.
Scares easy.
Yeah, probably.
Simpest tendencies.
Oh, God.
Oh.
I said, I said last week...
I think you ran plenty of times.
You ran for me before, actually.
Yeah.
I said last week that the best choice in terms of, like, the arsenal of players that the Lakers have would be D'Antoni just because, yeah.
It makes sense.
You're playing with a true point guard.
Darius Morris has a lot of qualities in the true point guard as well.
I'm just a Bulls fan.
So I know, like, if Phil Jackson, if Phil Jackson offered, you know, but also, we don't have the luxury of being, like, Lakers have a better history, let's just be honest.
We don't have that luxury.
We had that six years out of eight that we won.
So, like, it's different for you guys.
For me, like, I would have thought about Phil Jackson.
So I was wondering from a Laker point of view, like, I understand D'Antoni.
I think he's a safe hire.
Like, when you really look at it, how you're describing it, breaking it down by detail, being around Nash, Kobe, Dwight, all before, I think it can work.
I mean, it's just, when Phil's name's out there, though, it's just weird that, you know, that, I mean, I don't think Phil's been passed up on a basketball job in 25 years.
So it's like, you know.
The crazy thing to me, though, was, you know, a lot of people say, you know, why is he bringing D'Antoni?
He doesn't play any defense.
His teams don't play defense.
And then, you know, Kobe was interviewed and he said, you know, the whole time Phil was here, we ran three defensive drills.
So he kind of got, you know, did away with all of that.
You know, they weren't a defensive team when Phil was here, so it's not going to make much difference with D'Antoni.
It's just a different system.
Yeah, but you guys, yeah, but when Phil was coached, when you were coaching, though, you guys know this, I mean, the players were allowed to smoke pot in the locker room.
That was totally cool.
So I think that there's think-offs with Phil, you know, that you're going to have to consider.
I had no clue.
Yeah, I mean, Phil's all down for people to smoke pot.
Well, I know he's about peyote.
If you handle, yeah, if you handle your business on the court, you get to smoke pot.
But if you don't do that, you don't get to smoke pot.
Beer, too.
Like, it was like the Red Sox.
I'm sorry.
For the whole athlete money, you need to be in tip-top shape.
And I know the tree and the beer ain't keeping you in shape, so there would be none of that in my locker room.
So much truth.
Yeah, do as much of that as you want after you retire.
Yeah, after you retire, like, when you get your first check, like, I feel you getting out of your system.
I mean, clearly, he didn't care.
I mean, you got Lamar Odoms, like, eating his way to diabetes and stuff.
Him and Jamarcus Russell are kicking it a lot.
Having real buffet parties.
Hello, Potluck.
You guys, does anybody know what Jamarcus Russell's doing nowadays?
He sells, uh, house insurance in Pasadena.
I thought he had a promethazine company.
He's probably, like, an assistant O-course here, like, for the CFL or something like that.
No, it's, like, for Burbank High School.
Probably.
Going back on track.
Actually, we got a little bit more to talk about, guys, especially with the Lakers.
So we got, we're at our midpoint right now.
So we're gonna take a quick little break, probably two minutes, and then we'll come back.
You're in the sports booth.
Callers, stay on the line.
You're really sweet, Lou.
You're the sweetest man in the world.
Oh, man, I know, dude.
Oh, man.
Dude, Gronkowski has a broken arm.
Yeah.!
This is absolutely Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
because he has a knack for getting in people's way sometimes.
I'm like, dude, you celebrate by pounding.
Because him explaining to the ref was the most funniest part to me.
He's like, I was pounding on my chest like this.
And I'm like, that's what happened.
And he was running down court, like, just still cool with it.
Like, nothing.
That's why, you know, like, man, like, the best defenders, though, they're usually cuckoo a little bit, you know.
Oh, yeah.
I.E.
Dennis Rodman.
Bruce Bowen seems like a normal dude.
He wears bow ties.
Yeah.
Yeah, that's true.
He's a weirdo.
But Matt Barnes is known for his D.
The ugliest dude.
Matt Barnes is known for his D.
Yeah, Matt Barnes.
And he's a psycho.
And he's a psycho.
Have you ever seen Matt Barnes?
Crazy person.
He looks like a lizard.
Yeah, if I saw him in an alley, I'd be like, man, do you need a dollar?
All right.
So we have a game today with the Houston Rockets versus the Lakers.
Who wins?
Why?
So you have Lake Show winning.
It's here, right?
It's here.
I'm actually going to the Houston Lakers game in Dallas next month.
In Houston, Dallas.
They're going to win that one, too.
Maybe.
I'll get.
I'll get.
If the game here is tonight.
Is D'Antoni's first game on the bench.
It's a little interesting.
That is interesting.
I'm going to go.
I'm going to go Houston by a small margin.
But I wouldn't be shocked at all if you guys blew them out or won by a little bit.
I wouldn't be shocked if Houston won the game.
They're not going to blow them out.
No, but I don't think they will.
I think Lakers win by like eight.
Yeah, I can see that.
I mean, I don't know.
It's a tough one.
I'll go for eight, too.
So the interesting thing between the two and the only thing I'm looking out for is Lakers are doing terrible to rebounding the ball.
Especially with their big man is driving me bananas.
And Ashik's a beast.
Yeah, and Ashik's a beast.
I think the Rockets are like second in rebounds right now in the league.
So they have that going for them.
Harden has as many points as Kobe averaging out.
They both have like 26 per game.
There's a lot more mouths to feed on the Lakers, though.
Yeah, there's a lot more mouths.
Asik has more rebounds.
Dwight averages out about 11.
Asik has 12.
As for cysts, you have, you know, Jeremy Lin.
Yeah, but when all those guys came together on the Lakers, like you.
And you had to know that their stats were going to fall off.
Like there's no way all those.
Except for Kobe.
I mean, he's going to get his.
He's going to get his, but he's not going to average as many points with like four guys who are perfectly capable.
But he's having.
Why not?
Bynum had a great year last year and Kobe was second in the league in scoring.
He's having the most efficient season.
Nash isn't even out there yet.
Like Harden is the main scorer on that team.
You know what I'm saying?
You don't think getting Nash will be better for Kobe?
He's already playing so carefree and so loose.
You got to look at how many points they average now.
We'll see.
And think about like, yeah.
I think when Nash comes back, he's going to average a little less.
He'll get his good shots, but he's not going to take as many shots because Nash is going to take up some good amount of shots.
The only exciting story for me out of this game is just Jeremy Lin.
His last time murdered by Jeremy Lin was the name of that Knicks.
Oh, yeah.
I remember that.
Yeah.
That was just murder.
And now everyone's like, yeah, Jeremy Lin is the real deal because he just gave it to the Lakers.
I like Lin.
Everybody was giving it to the Lakers.
Yeah.
To be fair.
Point guard.
Yeah.
Didn't even Cleveland give it to you guys?
Yeah.
Yeah.
So I'm excited to put that back.
I have Lakers as well.
Probably keep it a high scoring game.
I have no D coming into that.
I'm really excited.
Close.
Yeah.
I don't think any D at all.
Really?
You think the Rockets are going to score more than the Spurs did on us?
Yeah.
No, I think we hold an 82.
The game versus the Suns, it was like 102, 112, something like that.
I'm seeing something around that point margin as well.
Wow.
So about a four or five point game, high 100.
High scoring.
I think high scoring.
I'd say low hundreds.
Really?
Same thing.
Yeah.
I'm going to say give or take four points whoever wins.
I'm going to go 94, 86.
Well, you're a percent.
I'm going to go 110, 100.
Wow.
No tacos today.
Yeah, I don't see tacos happening either.
I want them to get tacos.
Sorry, there's no tacos.
I'm not seeing tacos happening today either.
You don't get that many offensive boards and not put them back.
I don't think they're going to get them.
They haven't played against a front line like ours.
I think that's the other thing you have to think about.
Yeah, we've been playing.
Everybody's been playing against a front line like ours and getting rebounds, dude.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I think that started to change a little bit the past couple games.
I hope so.
I hope to God, man.
I hope there's a motivation.
And you know, Dwight's slowly recovering while playing, which is really redundant to me, but we'll see how that all goes.
He's also getting some great moves now.
His footwork is really showing.
He's getting better game by game, definitely.
You can tell.
I'm excited for that.
Like me in fantasy basketball.
Moving down the list.
All right.
Big moves.
Big moves during the week.
The Clippers beat the Heat.
That was a pretty big game.
You guys see that block?
Bledsoe?
Wow.
That was an awesome block.
Meet me at the rim.
Meet me at the top.
I'm going to be at the top.
Yeah, he took his street.
That was wild.
I liked that.
That was a grind.
I hope Dwayne's kids weren't watching that.
Yeah.
That was really embarrassing.
Because you cannot see your father go to...
Yeah.
We were playing...
That's daddy.
If we were playing a pickup game at the park and that happened, I would have told everybody to go home.
Oh, God.
All right, guys.
Let's go.
Pack it up, guys.
Pop the ball.
No.
No, what I would have done is I would have chilled, played out the game, and then acted like something happened to my knee during the break.
And then go to my car and be like, oh, I'll be right back.
And never go back to that park ever again.
Never.
Ever again.
Leave your ball there.
Leave your Leslie jersey and all.
So with that, where do you rank the Clippers now?
Do you...
I mean...
In the West or in the NBA?
Let's go in the NBA.
Because in the West, obviously, they're up there.
It's not really...
It's like a Lakers.
Yeah, they're top three, four.
I wouldn't put the Lakers over the Clippers right now.
No, I wouldn't either.
Maybe Lakers, Clippers, San Antonio.
Okay, see, yeah, exactly.
That's the only people I had to keep into that.
The Thunder?
Well, the Thunder?
That's it.
The NBA Finals.
OKC.
I thought you said the OKC.
I'd say OKC, Clippers, and the Spurs.
That would be my three.
That's mine too.
Okay.
Yeah, that's actually really...
I don't know if I'd put OKC first right now.
Dallas?
I don't know about first.
I'm just saying...
Yeah, I'd have your order, except I don't think...
I'd put Spurs first.
I'd put...
Yeah, I'd put Spurs, Clippers, OKC.
Spurs always seem to get it done.
Yeah.
And they have the same core this year.
They have Tim Duncan.
They have Timothy Duncan.
Timothy Theodore Duncan.
From the same core.
I read an article from him in Sports Illustrated.
Did I mention this before?
It was called 21 Shades of Duncan, of why he's awesome.
Oh, I saw your Instagram or something on that.
Yeah, it was a really good article.
I still have it on the car.
Yeah, I have Instagram.
Did you fall asleep during the article?
I should have.
One point of the article is that point number nine, he's really boring in all of his interviews.
But one of them, he took all the rookies out paintball shooting, and he gave them all busted guns.
And he got a bunch of ringers to get on his team.
Yeah.
And Tim Duncan has his own special maid.
That's awesome.
So he just lights up all the rookies.
What was Ferry's first name?
Danny.
Danny Ferry.
Lights him up.
Lights him up.
And I'm like, that's awesome.
I would not expect that from Tim, Tim Duncan.
He's a killer.
He's a cold-blooded guy.
He's a regular dude, though.
That's the thing.
Some guys, they're in the spotlight, but don't necessarily want to be there.
He's a good basketball player.
That doesn't mean he wants to be the front man of any organization.
It just happened to be like that.
But he's just a regular guy.
That's why I hear it.
That's why I love it.
I personally love Tim Duncan.
I always have.
I love Tim.
Even though I'm a Laker fan and I hate him when he's on the Spurs, he's still like the second best player.
He's just a big fundamental.
Like when you think one day and you describe to your kids how to play that big man position, you're going to talk about Tim Duncan first.
Show them YouTube clips of Tim.
Yeah, that's it.
He plays it by the book.
The bank is open on the Spurs.
What does using the glass look like?
Oh, my goodness.
Let me Google Tim Duncan really quick.
So that's good.
Really, a thing that I found ridiculous, Shaq, and since we're still on the topic of Clippers, after that we'll move to the NFL really as quick as we can.
Shaq says that DeAndre Jordan is the best center in the NBA right now.
He sounds like Lou.
Is that Lou or is that Charles?
Shaq Lou O'Neal, whatever that is.
Shaq Lou.
Sweet Lou.
Yeah, I mean, I think he wants the spotlight still.
He misses being in the game.
He's dissing Dwight Howard when you can't even pronounce Robin or Brooke Lopez.
You don't even know the difference when you're saying they're better than Dwight Howard.
It's blatantly lies.
He's just goofing off.
He's a goofball.
You know what?
I kind of agreed with you, I think, maybe, I'd say a couple months ago, because you could see these quotes from Shaq, and he'd say things about Dwight, and you'd be like, oh, my God, is he serious?
I don't think he's serious.
I think he's trying to, and someone mentioned this to me, and I kind of was like, you know, that kind of makes sense.
I think he's trying to motivate him.
I think Shaq doesn't think DeAndre.
Shaq does not think DeAndre Jordan is better than Dwight.
He's not stupid.
I really think he's trying.
He has a doctorate.
I think he's trying to piss Dwight off, and Dwight's like, oh, really?
Because maybe Dwight doesn't know that Shaq's fooling around.
Maybe Dwight's still like, oh, he hates me.
You think he's playing head games with Dwight?
A little bit.
I think during these first nine games, yeah, DeAndre Jordan has had some really great games, but he's not the best center.
He's so limited.
He's improved his game, but he's not the best.
I would put Greg Monroe over DeAndre Jordan.
Monroe is doing some great stuff.
And he balled last year, too.
Exactly.
Roy Hibbert.
There's so many guys that are better than DeAndre.
He's not right now, though.
It's early.
Jake can attest to that by his fantasy team.
Don't ever draft Roy Hibbert, people.
It's bad.
No, but I mean, you know, I think Shaq just loves the spotlight.
He even loved it when he was in the game.
And there's nothing wrong with that, but when you say irrelevant points, like, it's like, he's the newer version of Charles Barkley.
He's a media whore.
Like, he cracks his head.
Charles is usually right, though.
Charles has his moments.
I may be wrong, but I doubt it.
Yeah.
Charles was just scrap.
No one wants to scrap with Charles.
That's why he's always crap.
Charles almost laid Shaq out that time, remember?
He threw the ball at his head?
He flipped it.
He got it.
Well, who would you guys say is the best center in the league right now?
Because DeAndre Jordan is not my pick.
I mean, statistically, we're going, like, who would I want number one in the league?
Right now.
I'm going to go Dwight Howard.
Dwight Howard as well.
It's Dwight Howard.
I mean, if you look at numbers, Joakim Noah's balling.
Like, you know, I mean, there's a lot of guys that are balling.
But when you put those guys one on one.
I wouldn't put Joakim Noah.
But if you're playing the championship, they say, hey, you get one centered by what's been played out this season.
I'm still going Dwight Howard.
Just because that's.
You have to.
He affects the game in, like, so many different ways.
It's almost unfair.
All right.
Hey, guys.
What the?
What is that?
What is that?
That was the most anticlimactic thing I've ever experienced.
It sounds like a New York Giants song.
Guys, I just wanted to interrupt the conversation and move into the NFL.
I'm going to start checking the sound boards before we start.
This is like the third time this sucks.
For those of you who couldn't hear, he ran the NFL theme song.
Yeah.
It goes.
It's like.
Whatever.
NFL week, man.
It's been fun.
By the way, shout out to Nelson Arevalo.
I hope you're listening to this at one point or the other.
I got your shout out.
I'm not a liar.
I keep my word.
Anyways.
NFL.
I just threw it out, man.
I just threw it out there.
That's real sweet.
NFL.
The comeback kings, man.
This is where I guess the men come out from where the boys were playing.
All right.
Let's just go over again how much parity there is in the league.
I was looking at.
Stats of like, I guess, points allowed or points.
Like, I guess, scores or the chances of teams winning.
There's only like about four teams that have a good chance of winning.
And even the Falcons, like statistically of like how close games have been.
Even the Falcons with their great record is like 23, 24 chance that they're going to like lose.
That's like to win the Super Bowl?
No.
So in a game.
Like in any given Sunday.
It's like any given Sunday is like this season.
But we've been talking about that all year.
I think there is a ridiculous amount of parity.
That's why it's so hard to pick who do we think is going to be in the championship game.
And we're pretty sure.
We're pretty much just all basing it off of.
I think we all have different picks for the NFC.
Mike.
No.
Listen to Mike's pick for the NFC championship.
No.
I remember Chicago.
Cowboys at Bears.
Chicago and Dallas.
Cowboys at Bears.
Bears win.
And the Cowboys.
How are they doing?
Didn't they lose last week too?
Like I said.
No.
The Cowboys are actually winning.
And the Cowboys.
So they'll be four and seven.
They're five and five.
I believe.
They're not five and five.
They won today.
They won today, dude.
And they've been having a lot of close games with really good teams.
The Browns are a good team?
I'm not talking about today.
I'm talking about prior to today.
Well, when?
Because they're five and five.
I need to know what game you're talking about.
You're talking about.
Yeah.
They beat.
They beat.
They beat the Browns.
They beat the Browns in overtime.
And you're coming to me with the Cowboys?
But they came back.
Something that Romo did.
When they are there.
Five and five.
I owe you 20 chest slap.
20 chest slap.
20.
Fair chested.
I would say the Chiefs have as good of a chance of making it in the playoffs.
I would say the same thing.
I don't believe Dallas will make it there.
But to your original point, I think there is so much parody in the league.
Yeah.
I mean, I think.
I mean, look at Jacksonville.
They played the hell out of Houston.
Yeah.
They should have won that game.
You know, I mean, it's.
And Jacksonville is, you know, at this point considered one of the lowest three teams in the league with the Chiefs and maybe one or two.
The Chiefs are by far the worst.
Yeah.
I'll own up to that.
I will own up to that.
That my team is the worst.
We're going to go out.
We're going to go get us Gino Smith and get us one of, you know, and we'll be good.
I mean, we're good.
So a point, a point about the Dallas game, or I should say November.
Is that you're going to be the best team in the league?
Yeah.
Romo has had a history of having a terrible November.
Just always losing in November.
He's had, he has two wins so far.
He started off with the Falcons loss.
He won last week and now he wins today.
You think he's going to be his best November ever?
Breaking the curse?
You guys even means anything?
No.
Talking about Atlanta, right?
A little November slump from.
Oh, Tony Romo.
These things.
Dallas plays Washington at home.
Dallas's schedule is so soft towards these last few games.
I think.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But they've already lost.
So like.
And they're already playing down to their competition as it is.
It's not like they're going to be blowing people off.
I think.
I don't know if I look at that game against the Browns as them looking down.
I think they were like, hey, we're at home.
Did you watch the first half of that game?
Yeah.
You can't.
But the Browns are probably that third worst team.
You know, like that's.
No, they're not.
The Browns don't look good at all.
They're two and what?
Two and eight.
Yeah, they are.
I mean, come on.
You can't argue that they are better than a top three, bottom three team.
Bottom, bottom eight.
You know, like.
They're terrible.
Well, do you think this is.
What does this game say for Romo?
Like he had a good game.
Is he.
And they were able to come back.
Finding his stride.
I don't buy into the whole like.
Oh, I think those stats are kind of irrelevant.
Because I just think you play that.
You play totally different.
You don't have the same schedule every year.
It just happens that this month was.
One month is going to be statistically your worst.
And this happens to be Romo's.
And I don't think it plays anything.
I mean, I think against Washington next week.
It's a big.
I mean, that's a defining moment.
Because Washington is good and they can beat you.
But if you want to go to the playoffs, you're going to have to win that game.
They've got a lot of injuries on the defensive side.
I would expect them to put up more than 23 points.
I'm going to take Washington.
Yeah.
I think Washington will beat them.
I don't think so.
I don't think Washington will beat them.
See what Bob did today?
Bob's ready.
That's a fool's goal.
Who do they play?
Philadelphia's got one of the worst secondaries in the game.
And you're trying to tell me.
And you're trying to tell me that Cleveland is not.
Cleveland's been in every game this year.
Every single game.
Cleveland's better than Philly.
Philly has not been in every game.
Is Cleveland better than Philly?
Yes.
Yes, they are.
That's a given.
Look at the games they've played and you tell me.
Lou, come pick up your friend.
Hey, they beat them this year too.
Or did they lose by one?
Who?
Cleveland, Philly.
I think Cleveland lost by one.
It was like one point right.
One point or something?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Another close game.
Going along with the parody, the Packers came back to win over the Lions as well.
And that was a really close game.
Aaron Rodgers was just making things happen.
That was a game where the Lions took a lead early, held on to it, didn't want to give you back up.
And, I mean.
I mean, God helped the Packers with their kicker.
He missed, what, three?
Three today.
And, you know, he luckily had the chance to redeem himself.
Oh, they're making calls.
And just went out.
Yeah.
He missed one where Schwartz called a timeout.
Yeah.
Isn't that the dumbest thing?
Aren't you tired of seeing that?
Trying to ice the kickers?
They need to take that out.
Get rid of that.
You know what it is?
Somebody did it once and they were epic for doing it.
And now people are trying to relive that situation.
It's a toss-up.
It's a toss-up.
It's a toss-up.
It's a toss-up.
It's a toss-up.
It's a toss-up.
It's really, if you really think you can ice the kicker, do it.
That's on you.
Maybe they did ice him because he missed the first one and then he missed the second one anyway.
I mean, me personally, I wouldn't do it because I'm the type of person, like, I don't want to see it twice either way.
Because I don't want to think about if I was wrong or right the first time.
Right.
Because I didn't see the second time.
It's almost like now, if you don't do it, the guy's going to be like, oh, they're not icing me.
That might create more pressure.
I mean, just let him kick it.
I mean, if you allow yourself to get into a position where you can lose on a kicker.
I think there's more pressure kicking it the first time because you don't know if that whistle is getting blown.
If he didn't kick it the second time, you know the whistle's not getting blown.
Right.
So.
Unless you have another timeout.
Is there?
That would be crazy.
If you can't do it, you can't call a double timeout.
I know.
That'd be crazy.
Well.
But the Packers, though.
The Packers, impressive performance by Aaron Rodgers.
They're going to win the Super Bowl.
I told you.
They won't win the Super Bowl.
Oh, they're not going to be there.
I told you guys.
They might make it to the Super Bowl.
You guys don't want to see them if they get there.
Not if they can't stop.
Well, Matt Stafford, did he get picked, what, three times today?
How disappointed has that man been this season?
He's a bust.
At least Calvin got his today.
He's the curse.
You just throw it up.
You got to also give respect to the Packers because their D has also stepped it up.
Creating a lot of turnovers as well.
And that pressure, man.
And Clay Matthews didn't even play today.
He's out with like a hammy injury.
They're looking good.
I don't care what anybody says.
They're starting to look real good.
They're running the ball a little bit.
I thought that was always their kind of problem.
I don't know.
And I think those runs are what?
Like three or four yards?
That's supposed to come back in all this year?
Do we know?
Maybe two more weeks, I think.
Okay.
Because that could give him a spark if he comes back healthy.
That would help a lot.
Because he is a good running back.
Who said?
When he gets setter than entertainer.
That used to be my fantasy team name when he was balling.
All right.
So moving on with the upsets a little bit more.
Trying to run through this, get our rookie report out, and then get our picks for the next week.
Let me see.
Today, Packers, Falcons.
Which one do you guys think was a lot more impressive, I should say?
The Falcons come back on Arizona or Houston?
Or the Texans come back over the Jaguars?
Definitely the Falcon come back.
I mean, Arizona has a little bit better defense than the Jaguars.
Jaguars definitely played up that game.
They got hyped up.
They didn't have Gabbert.
They didn't have MJD.
They had Henny come in and just gun-slung.
Well, they didn't have Gabbert, and they looked a lot better with Henny.
Henny has started games before, though.
He's a proven quarterback.
So I think we should start him over Gabbert in general.
I agree with pretty much every point Jay made.
I would argue that the Houston.
I mean.
Houston, I think, was more impressive.
Yeah, that was more impressive.
Just because the Jags, same division.
I mean, that division is just squishy.
You have the Titans.
You have the Jaguars.
Houston.
But Atlanta's going to have to grind out games like that to make it far.
The thing is, you shouldn't be giving up 37 points to Jacksonville without MJD.
Like, you know what I'm saying?
Like, Blackman shouldn't be.
This shouldn't be his come-out game.
Hey, Blackman?
But he had a game.
If you had him in your fantasy.
Wow.
I had him on my fantasy bench.
He had like an 80-yard, a Tud today.
He had 250.
He had 200.
He had 200 and 236.
What did AJ do?
He had a bunch of yards, too.
I know.
AJ had like 90 yards and a Tud.
I thought he had.
No, he had more than that.
He had like two something.
No.
Yeah.
Because Matt Shopp threw for like 527.
He had 91 yards and a Tud.
Wow.
Yeah, Matt Shopp had a great.
He had a 500-plus yard.
He threw to Gresham.
I had him on the bench.
Oh, yeah.
Graham.
What?
I played Cam over him.
Why would you ever play Cam?
Why Cam?
Cam was having a terrible year.
Over who?
I'm writing it out.
Over who?
I'm writing it.
Oh, yeah.
He's playing me, by the way.
Oh, man.
Great job.
A good look.
Dude, you could have.
What could you have done with 500 yards?
What?
Four Tuds?
Yeah, I'm feeling bad.
That's two fantasy losses.
Oh, but you know what?
He did have five picks, I think, today.
Who?
Was it Shopp who had five picks today?
And five Tuds.
And five Tuds.
So they.
They won the game.
They threw the round second half.
I guess that's good.
All right, dude.
Well, I still see you.
But we know we always have our points.
Let's go with the rookie report really quick.
From the rooks that played today.
Is Freeman a rookie?
He is, right?
Josh Freeman?
No.
No, he's not.
Second year.
Oh, it's.
Second year.
No, he's like his third or fourth year.
This is third year, I think.
Yeah.
Third year.
My bad.
That's my error.
So between the two that I know that played today, Jake Locker had a bye week, I think.
It's also a second year.
Also.
Locker?
Yeah, he came in spot duty last year.
Played a couple games.
Yeah, the hurt Locker.
Yeah.
And he was hurt this year, but yeah.
That's right.
Well, between the two, we're going to have to talk about these two.
The only ones that are ever really in the argument.
Oh, it's going to be great.
Andrew Luck gets outclassed by the Patriots.
That's Tom Brady.
Wow, that's kind of a little biased right there.
Who wrote that?
Who wrote that?
Who wrote that?
That is not even a fair thing to say.
Just outclassed.
You did.
Tell me you didn't.
No, I feel you.
Tell me you didn't.
Not my choosing.
That's what happened.
We gave him, I mean.
No, tell me you didn't.
Say it happened.
I think it was.
No, I'm not saying that.
It's just the whole, like, just the blatant disrespect about class.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I think the Indies are a pretty classy organization just to say they got outclassed.
They're living trust strong right now.
No, I think Luck had a good run.
Look at what, a four-game winning streak, right?
Yeah, we look really good.
Well, you guys are New England fans too, so we'll let that go.
Yeah, keep to leave.
Had a pick today.
I mean, Andrew Luck looked like a rookie, but Belichick does this to rookies.
I mean.
He went 334, though.
Yeah, but they were down all game, so he was going to get his yards.
He got picked twice.
Special teams, return to Tud.
That's a tough game.
That's a tough game.
Play well, though.
Play well.
You know, I think Andrew Luck had a great game.
He threw, for having, what, two picks, still got three touchdowns, threw for three something.
Here's the thing, though.
You know, he has a game like this, and people say, you know, that's a tough game.
They came back and beat the Packers earlier this year, so he's not your typical rookie.
I mean, we got to just look at it.
Him and Brady basically had the same yardage, you know, and the same amount of Tud's.
It's just the two picks.
And in reality, the picks, you know, aren't going to get you back into a 28-point game, but at the time they happened, you know.
He threw two pick sixes.
Two pick sixes.
We had a punt return for a touchdown, so Brady didn't have to do a whole lot.
But the thing is, though, you couldn't have really a terrible game in this game for Andrew Luck necessarily because they've been on a hot streak, and I don't think any of us thought they'd beat New England.
If they did, that would be a plus.
Nobody did.
You know, I didn't see them.
Well, the things that the Colts did do right is that they did stop the runs.
We had, like, what, 25 carries today.
Yeah, we didn't really run the ball.
And we only got, like, between the three that ran 100-something yards.
Although Vereen and Ridley did get two touchdowns between them.
I can't say that Luck didn't have a good game.
It's just that Colts D that led you to have a worse record last season.
I would say he had an awful game.
Probably showed itself today.
He didn't have as good a game as Bob.
I would say.
Bob, though?
Those touchdowns were in garbage time.
Can we talk about Bob, though?
Against Philly?
That's such a.
He had a 14 for 15, 200 yards, and four touchdowns.
What is the deal?
They're four and six.
Why are you hitting them on the ball?
That's right.
Oh, Mike.
Wow, Mike.
It's not the point about being four and six.
What were they last year?
Why did they have to move up to get the second pick?
All right.
Let's talk about Bob.
Yeah.
He's worth everything.
Obviously, we have to.
He's worth everything.
Robert Griffin III had a great game today.
We call him Bob.
All around.
Spit the truth.
Just call me Colin Bob.
All right.
He threw for 200 yards today.
About.
Got sacked twice.
Four touchdowns.
And he ran for a lot.
He ran for 84 yards.
84 yards.
Yeah.
With no rushing touchdowns.
But, I mean, he's known for running it in whenever he has to.
But four touchdowns is pretty impressive.
It's a long night.
Yeah.
And, yeah.
The Philly D isn't something to be.
I mean, like I've been saying all season, they make your team look great.
Yeah, but those are kind of.
They have the worst secondary in the league.
That's ridiculous numbers, though.
I don't care how bad.
You can't even hit 14 out of 15 sometimes in practice.
I don't know.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah.
That's impressive, but it's still Philly.
Yeah.
And their walls.
Philly turned it around.
Turned it over three times.
They got one fumble.
McCoy got hurt, didn't he?
Yeah, he was concussed.
Yeah.
Joe concussed.
Foles didn't throw a touchdown, but he got two interceptions for his troubles.
Got sacked a couple times as well.
He's not going to finish the season either.
You know, Vic's done.
He's not going to finish either.
He's out of there.
I mean, who knows who would want to be quartered?
Stay back there with that line.
That defensive line.
J-Mike needed him for his fantasy team.
I mean.
Whoever that is.
They let everybody through.
You know?
I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know.
Like, they got the fast pass at Disneyland, man.
Like, hey, guys, go on through.
What movie is that?
It's like Any Given Sunday when they were pissed at him.
Every inch?
Yeah.
The inches we need are everywhere.
I think we're completely out of time.
Oh, man.
We missed it.
Because I still had the whole picks for, you know, Monday and today.
You missed your fight, too.
I know.
I think Chicago wins.
Chicago wins?
No, Chicago.
49ers win.
Anyways, thank you guys for listening in.
You're in the sports booth.
We'll be here next week.
Thank you so much once again.
Boom.!
