📄 Transcript [show]

Man lives in the sunlit world of what he believes to be reality. But there is unseen by most an underworld. A place that is just as real but not as brightly lit. A dark side. The following content is a work of fiction. It contains images of graphic violence. Viewer discretion is advised. Those weapons must be taken out of Cuba. And next, let me say to you that if I understood you with a trespass on credulity that excels your best, you said that our position had changed since I spoke here the other day because of the pressures of world opinion and the majority of the United Nations. And I now give the floor to... I now give the floor to the representative of the United States. Thank you, Madam President. The United States renews our call for the international community to support the newly formed government of Ukraine and to prevent unnecessary violence. I'd like to take a moment to respond to the comments made here by the representative of the Russian Federation. Actions speak louder than words. Early this morning, the Russian Duma acted to authorize the use of military force in Ukraine. This is as dangerous as it is destabilizing. We are deeply disturbed by reports this morning of Russian military intervention into Crimea. This intervention is without legal basis. Indeed, it violates Russia's commitment to protect the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independence of Ukraine. It is time for the Russian intervention in Ukraine to end. The Russian military must stand down. The aspirations of the Ukrainian people must be respected. And... Political dialogue must be allowed to continue. Oh, yes, I've read about that in the Bible. Singapore Singapore We'll be right back. We'll be right back. We'll be right back. We'll be right back. We'll be right back. A tense standoff between Russian and Ukrainian forces at an air base in Crimea. The base has been surrounded by Russian troops for the past few days. The Ukrainian commander walks unarmed toward the Russians, two rifles pointed right at him. But I must say, my satanic fucking ritual has literally put to cease the LA Marathon fiasco. You guys got in here okay? Yeah, we were worried about that marathon, though, because we thought it would be pretty heavy. A lot of security, but we got by it no problem, actually. Maybe we made the wrong turn, but somehow we got here. You guys know how to weigh. Since you're coming from Long Beach, you guys know how to get around shit. Yeah, yeah, definitely. Let me introduce you properly. All right, Lost Johnny was being such a fucking fag today because of the whole LA Marathon. Oh, I don't want to deal with the traffic, and I don't want to deal with all the fiasco. So I asked my dear good friend, El Diablo Negro. El Diablo Negro himself, Caten W. DePena. Thank you for being here. And of course, you brought your pirate cord. Steven Lance. Lance and his brother are here today, which is awesome. Yeah, man. And you know what's really, really interesting is we are here to celebrate the official United States release of Immortal Legacy. It's about time, man. We've been waiting a while. That's a great record. Thank you. Thank you. Now, I don't know if you're aware of this or not, but during the week, I actually announced that that album is already on my top 10 of 2014. Thank you, man. That's awesome. That's a great, great record. I would say that, I mean, you've been consistent with your career, and Hyrax has been, you know, recording and touring consistently for, I would say, like, the last 15 years. Somewhere around there. But this record really, really goes on a whole, it really ups the game. Thanks, man. And we'll talk about that later, but I just wanted to share that with you. Well, I also have to thank these two fuckers sitting to my right. Lance and his brother, Steve, they worked really hard with me on this record, and we have had a lot of things over the last, say, 10 years. You know, I say eight. Is it eight? How long is it? 2005? Yep. What does that add up to? I'm stupid. Nine. Nine? Nine. So Long Beach Unified School District is just as fucking down. Yeah. You can graduate through our system easily, so that's why I'm sitting here. But, no, just working. We've been working with these guys, and we've got time to really spend on the road with each other. I think the touring has actually made us a better band. I would say that this is the most solidified and most tightest band that you've had up to date. Yeah, and these guys... Even though you just lost the drummer. Yeah, but we'll talk about that in a little bit. Yeah, we're going to talk a lot about that. We didn't really lose anybody. We misplaced something and pulled something really special into the band. I can't wait to get into that. Yeah, it's going to be cool. That's a whole other part of this in a little bit. But these guys just worked really hard. They've been down. They've gone on the road with me, which proves how badass they are. I'm not overstating. It's awesome to have the Harrison Brothers in with me, and we're animals. We're crazy. Well, I'm glad you guys are here, man. It's always great to see you guys. All right. A lot going on this week. I've got to first start off by saying that I've been getting a lot of emails because I made a post about a show that I went to just the other day. It was Friday, right? Yeah. I went to go see a band called Darkest Death. Are you familiar with Darkest Death? No. No, I'll be honest with you. They're really, really good. But one of the things, and you're going to relate to this because you tend to play all over the world, but your demographic is really interesting, especially when you leave the United States. Yeah. Or, you know, that's actually a wrong statement because here in the United States, your demographic is predominantly a young crowd, but you still retain the older crowd. Which is awesome. Yeah. How do you deal with those motherfuckers? Jenny, play that Ron Peru music, please. Yeah, here we go. Magic mirror, tell me to. Magic mirror, tell me to. I got to. That's hot. I went to a show on Friday to go see Darkest Death. Okay. And I love this fucking song. And I knew that the Undercard had a lot of these new thrash revival young bands, which I hate. Okay. Okay. Okay. And let me explain why I hate. Well, you've been around a while, so you've seen a lot of this before. Well, there's a lot of reasons why they get on my nerves. But one of the main reasons why they get on my nerves is because they're fucking completely disrespectful, dude. I don't ever remember. I mean, we grew up in that era where we were dealing with so much hostility from the real world. Yeah, yeah. When you would go to Fender's, it was like a ticking time bomb. It was a powder keg. But there was still respect. Like, you didn't go out. I mean, there were some snappers that would, you know, cause some civil disobedience. And at the time, before Rodney King, cops were fucking, they were not tolerating any of that shit. You ain't kidding. They were welcoming you with a belly club if they just saw like four or five dudes walking down the street with denim on their head. Okay. But I went to this show on Friday. Which, should we play that romper movies again? Just kidding. Oh, my God. I'm sitting there going, mirror, mirror, magic mirror. I see you, Manuel, trying to sneak in that fucking bottle of vodka. Mirror, mirror, magic mirror. I see you, fucking Manuelito from fucking South Central trying to come out with that beer and sneak in five of your friends into this show. Mirror, mirror, I see you, Mario, with your fucked up leopard pants and you're going to be fucking pregnant by the end of the night. Mirror. Oh, and I don't mind that because they're not my kids. What annoys the fuck out of me, Caden, is I'm sitting there with an adult beverage. And you and I both know since we're like literally proud to be alcoholics. Yes, I am. We're sitting there with a beverage that we bought. We didn't sneak it in. Yeah. We bought. Okay. And, you know, granted, we can bitch and complain about the price, but still, we're adults. Yeah, you're aware of it. And I'm sitting there waiting for this band that I want to see. I've avoided all these other bands. I was drinking at the bar next door. Oh, now they're going on? Cool. So I can just avoid this fiasco. Yeah, yeah. Buy my beverage. And some asshole wants to slam right into me. Yeah. And spill it. Now. Did you pay attention to where you were going, though? See, I have a rule. I have a rule. If you fucking go into the pit, you deserve what you get. You know what I mean? I'm nowhere near the pit. Okay, okay, okay. Come on. We're at the bar. I'm at the bar. That's different. And you probably spilled like $5 of your drink on the floor. What really gets on my nerves is there's an etiquette when it comes to like the older underground, you know, aficionados. Yeah. In our day, if you saw. I mean. You remember Grandpa George. You'd buy a person a drink if you knocked their drink out of their hand. Exactly. But you remember Grandpa George. Yeah. And Bob and, you know, Ron. Yeah. You know, they would go. Awesome people, by the way. Yeah. You know, Bob from Deep Six Records. He would go. Amazing, dude. He would go with Ron to shows. This is in the 80s at the height of the violence of the scene. God bless Ron, by the way. He's not with us anymore. I know. He's an amazing dude. But how old was his grandfather at that time? Probably 60 or 70. Easy. He's like almost 90 now. He still goes to shows. He's awesome. He's awesome. That dude proves the way. Hardcore, they're not shit until they know about Grandpa. But do you recall, did we ever bump into him? No, hell no. Did we ever, like, you know, slam into him? No way. No, right? There was an etiquette. There was a respect. No, I got these fucking Salvador and South Central motherfuckers slamming into me, spilling my fucking beer, and they don't even say thanks. That's highly annoying. Well, yeah, you know. That's the bitch about going to shows, you know. You gotta, you gotta, I don't know, you gotta use your peripherals. I use my peripherals. If somebody's coming at me, I move, because I don't want to spill my beer, you know. But I hear you. I hear where you're coming from. Oh, that's a pet peeve of mine. Another thing that really annoyed me today was the fact, or during the week, was the fact that, did you hear about this? Let me tell you a little bit about this. This is really interesting. In Florida, Tampa, Florida, there was a man that was caught having sexual intercourse with his pet bull. Pet bull? How do you fuck a bull? He was fucking his pet. This is Bernard. That's crazy. How do you pronounce it? Very carefully. Marcionetic. He was engaged in a sexual act with a pet bull. When officers arrived at the home of the, on North Mark Street, they were greeted by a small crowd of residents who were disturbed by their neighbor's activity with the dog. Oh, it was a pet bull. I thought like a bull bull. No, no. He was fucking his pet bull. I mean, I always do Florida was a little. Did you say pet bull or pit bull? Pit bull. Pit bull. Pit bull. I haven't even had that many drugs. Pet bull. What's so funny is that Andy thought that you said pet bull. Pet bull. Yeah. Come on. That's why I said fuck it carefully, Andy. Okay. The point is, is he was fucking his dog. What? How disturbing is that? Okay. I just want to make, clarify we're talking about dogs and not bulls. Yeah. I found that very, very. It's any better. Yeah. I found that very, very, very disturbing. Yeah. That's crazy. Here's another thing that really bothered me this week. Were you aware that the Israeli Prime Minister, Bernard. He was here. Yeah. What's his fucking name? Let me look it up here. Look it up. Benjamin Netanyahu. He was here. Now, were you, this is what really bothered the fuck out of me. You know, you know, I believe, I really don't want to call her out, but I believe that your significant other works for the school district. Yeah. Yeah. With children. With children. Yes. As we know here in Los Angeles. I don't know about Long Beach. I'm not sure wherever she works at, but in Los Angeles, massive cuts in education, massive cuts in the music programs, massive cuts in arts, arts and music. I mean, it's just pathetic. Not only that, I grew up with some of these fucking teachers that are teaching these kids. They're massive potheads. Yeah. Massive fucking just Spicolis. It's frightening, dude. I know. Okay. But yet we're going to spend on one day alone over a million dollars. United States taxpayer. Money. And I understand that we're living in an age where, you know, uh, the, the terrorism that can happen here. It's happened already. Dude, if you think about it, we're all terrorizers. NSA, CIA surveillance satellites on this one particular day, which is a, I don't know if you're aware of any of that. I don't know if you read fucking books about, you know, this shit. Okay. And it's, that's expensive shit right there. So the NSA, CIA satellites hovered over Los Angeles. Okay. F-14s flying the skies. For cover. They don't want, they don't want any Cessnas coming in, fucking hitting that fucking, uh, you know, uh, the prime minister's fucking, uh, uh, caravan. Right. Aerial assault, aerial assault, Blackhawk helicopters fully loaded with snipers. Okay. The Israeli Mossad paid for by the United States government, which I don't, I don't understand that. The Israeli Mossad block teams, which is what you. You don't, well, you're not supposed to know. These are the guys that the day before were snuffing out Arabs and cutting throats and finding those cells and doing the whole, you know, Tom Clancy shit. Okay. Okay. FBI, US Secret Service protective detail, covert anti-terrorism, black sniper teams, which is our shit. LAPD SWAT team on high alert, which they're, that's overtime for them. Nice. Okay. This is what's interesting. Do you recall the TV show 24, which they had a unit called? CTU. Yeah. We really do have that except the United States version. Why are these people bothering me? Okay. Uh, ITU, which is free to operate under national security, protective detail throughout the United States and abroad. They're here. So they're the ones that are making sure nothing is happening with the Mossad. Okay. All for a visit from fucking the prime minister. So what was the total money wise? Over a million dollars. Nice. No, it's not nice. You know how many fucking kids could have programs for years? That's why I'm saying nice. Redirect the money. Dead. Redirect the money. Am I the only one? I mean, well, Mike, you don't read the newspaper. You're an idiot. But I mean, am I the only one that's like highly offended by that? Like, I think there's no money for education, but there's money to protect this fucking guy with this excessive amount of protection. I understand it, but really? I think, I think. I think you're not the only one who's disgusted with it, but it's just a matter of people finally doing something about it, which it takes a really sub. It takes a lot of things happening at one time for people to finally have enough. Like, like what's going on and say Ukraine or what's going on in Venezuela. Well, this is very interesting. Same with Brazil. When we were in Brazil, they were going off over there. They stood up against their government. When, when you get that many people to finally stand up, that's when things change. One of the things that bothers me. Uh, lost Johnny sat there last week. I was commenting. Can I move? No, no. He was, he was completely uninterested when I was commenting. You might find this interesting because your dad dealt with this off the coast of Florida, right on the border of international waters, Russian submarines, Russian nuclear capable sub in Cuba spy ships. No one cares. No one's offended by it. I mean, to me, I listen, I'm not a big Ronald. Right. Reagan domestic policy fan. Thank you. But I was a big admirer. And I mean, at the time I was like 10 men. I admired the diplomacy that he had with the Russians, which was, I ain't taking shit from you. I'm going to build up this arsenal. And if you fuck with me, I'll nuke the fuck out of you. And look what happened, man. Look what happened. The fucking Russians are going crazy right now. I don't give a fuck what excuse they give and, or whatever, you know, that, uh, the Russian fucking population there. And the Russian fucking population there was under siege and, but you know what they're doing. It's, it's 19 fucking 40 again with Hitler. Yeah. But I didn't. Is anybody really surprised? I mean, we're talking about their president. Okay. He was their president before he took a little break, went on vacation and came back and became president again. He never has been out of power. Even when he's like, there was somebody else in there for a while. He's that guy's been running the show for a long time. And he's a fucking warrior. Yeah. He's not a game player. All right. So yeah. I mean, if anybody's surprised that he's fucking with us, they're crazy. This guy is, if he was on our team, we love him. Okay. Now let me ask you this. What are your sentiments on what's going on? Current events? Cause you traveled the world. You traveled the world abroad. The Ukraine and Venezuela. Have you been there? Yeah. I've been there. Not Ukraine. I've been to Venezuela, which is an amazing country. Venezuela is nowhere near the Ukraine. Fucker. That's a whole different continent. What I'm saying is there are two things that are going on that I'm paying attention to. Okay. I'm paying attention to what's going on in the Ukraine and I'm paying attention to what's going on in Venezuela. Venezuela is a little bit more personal because we've been there and we have friends there and they're beautiful people and they're resilient and they actually give a shit. They care about their country, but there's a lot of factions in these countries that are splitting people apart. And if you live in those countries, you have even more animosity and angst and anger and even pride that people can't understand if they're not from that country. Venezuela is amazing. The people are fucking awesome. So what do you feel about the Ukraine? I feel this way about all those countries. I don't know, something just switched over here. But I think I'm more about the people, man. I want them to have the power. Would you agree that right now at the state that we're in, I mean, people laugh at me, but we're literally like in a real Cold War situation, man. I don't think it's ever really stopped. Really? Yeah. I think this shit. It's just a matter of the rise up again to where people are paying attention. But I think there's, you know, it's just with us in Russia, we're like fucking cousins, man. We like to piss each other off. It's going to go on till the end of time. I don't ever see Russia and the US really ever get. You know, I said this last week. Let me say it again. I'm glad that we finally established that they're a bunch of fucking pricks. Fuck them. Well, I'm different, though. And now we have another. Now we have a specific target. I think all the governments are fucked. If you ask me. I agree. I'm not. I'm more for the people than the governments. Like it's a tough spot to be in because I love a lot of these people in these countries that the US has problems with. Like we go to Brazil. We love Brazil. But getting in there is tough because we're Americans. So the shit that we've got to go through going through the airport and going through customs and the money they charge just for you to walk in to these countries because we're US citizens is insane. But we do the same shit to their people when they come here. So the government is a fucking pricks. Yeah. I mean, I think the government's the problem. It's not the people. The people want to party. They want to go to concerts. They want to enjoy music. They want art. They want culture. They want food. They want to try each other's things. That's the good thing about humanity. That's the best thing for our band and traveling is that we meet people that sometimes we can't even speak the same language, but we communicate through music. So the governments are what pisses me off. And even my own government, who I'm proud to be American. Totally. I mean, my dad was in the Navy for 30 years. I'm very proud of this country. And some of the shit that we do and that we have going on is just unforgivable. Yeah. Well, why don't we get into what we started off the set with there? What did we... This is going to be interesting. What did we hear there, Caden? All right. Well, this is coming from guys who didn't gadget. So we're going to read your notes, which is from another guy who his writing is... What do you call it? Handsome Lance, you want to take a puff with some of the fucking devil's credits? Because you look all stressed out. You look like you're about to have a final or something. First we heard and we suffer. Yeah. From nausea. Right in the mic there, son. The album I can't fucking read to the system. Condemned to the system. Condemned, sorry. By nausea. Blind ass motherfucker. And for those who couldn't understand what Lance was saying, it was, and we suffer. Go ahead, take the second one. Can you handle that? Blood on the battlefield, nocturnal... Nocturnal fear. Well, you're ours. Is this mic cutting out? No. Can you still hear me? All right, cool. I can't hear shit. But this... Your spelling sucks, but it's... I'm sorry. I'm sorry. It's a beautiful spell, man. It's beautiful. It's beautiful. It's beautiful. It's beautiful. It's beautiful. It's beautiful. It's beautiful. It's beautiful. It's beautiful. It's beautiful. It's beautiful. It's beautiful. It's beautiful. It's beautiful. It's beautiful. It's beautiful. It's beautiful. It's beautiful. It's beautiful. It's beautiful. It's beautiful. It's beautiful. It's beautiful. It's beautiful. It's beautiful. It's beautiful. It's beautiful. It's beautiful. It's beautiful. Check it, check it. Hey, hey, let me announce this. Check one, two. Be hey there. Like in high school detention. Nocturnal Food will be playing the Cathedral of the Black Goat Festival, Chicago. All right. And that's going to be March 28th and 29th. And as we mentioned, we heard the track off a split record, which is an amazing record. You want to mention that again, my friend? Allied for the Upcoming Genocide. Allied for the Upcoming Genocide. There you go, ladies and gentlemen. There you go. Hey, did I do the next one? Hang on a minute. That's going to be, that's released on Moorbound Records. All right. Lost Johnny, we miss you. All right, go ahead. What was the other track we watched? Rise and Confront from the Almighty Chriseum. The record was The Great Execution, and those guys are a really good band. They're coming to Los Angeles with Destruction. Fuck Destruction. I like Chriseum a lot, though. I love Chriseum. I'm sick of Schmier and his rock star fucking crybaby bullshit. We'll get into that later. Yeah, I've known that guy for years, so that's going to be a tough one for me to comment on. We'll do what we can do. All right. We got a great show for today. As you can tell, Diablo Negro, Caden Dove de Pena is my special co-host, who's illiterate as fuck. But anyways. Hell yeah. This is interesting. We have The Resurrection of Dia de los Muertos. Do you recall that band? I do know their L.A. band. I know that. Yeah, man. I'm looking forward to talking to them. I think the last time I heard they were doing anything, they've done other shit, but I'm sure. But I know they played the House of Blues. I think it was with Agent Steel. Right. Yeah. That's all I know. Well, it's going to be a great show, man. You know, in these interviews, I hate being asked certain questions because some shit I don't know. So I don't want to act like I know shit that I don't know. But that's what's awesome about you is that you're down to earth and you're real. But some bands try to act like they know bands when they don't, and that's just going to backfire on you. So I don't want to sit here and- You got to keep it real. Yeah. All right. Let's get into it. You're listening to the real voice of the underground. Many have tried to replicate. Many have tried to duplicate. But they lack a voice. They lack one thing. True underground integrity. Hands off, Jenny. Hit it. We all need to get on board on this. I mean, this is something that affects the United States. We shouldn't play politics. But we do need leadership from our president, which has been, as I said, weak and indecisive in the past. This is his opportunity to step up, I think, and reassert that leadership which the world so desperately needs. It won't happen without the U.S. leading. We'll see. We'll see. We'll see. We'll see. We'll see. We'll see. All I can ever say My days are just in vain I make a name for life The knowledge of the victory Was firm and demonized My comrades dying hand in hand The bullets dropped and gone I followed them without a fear The lady called on for To ignore the facts of history And the aggressive impulses of an evil empire And one day with God's help Their total elimination Every man a man Every man a man Every man a man Every man a man Every man a man Every man a man Every man a man Every man a man Every man a man Every man a man Every man a man Every man a man Every man a man Every man a man Death from above Black smoke is coming Stand down Assassins of war That single wall There's nowhere to fall Slash like a hammer The towers will fall Stronger than steel They're back to the dead No one can kill them No men are to control the world guitar solo La la la la la la La la la la la la The hell's been unleashed Yeah The orders have been handed down Attacked with brute force The dictator must fall Invade the holy lands Killing fields of prison A fight to the death The smell of bloodshed is here Slash like a hammer The towers will fall Back to the wall There's nowhere to run No one can kill them There's nowhere to change the world guitar solo Set the fire guitar solo guitar solo guitar solo guitar solo guitar solo guitar solo guitar solo guitar solo guitar solo cybert guitar solo When he defies the spell Burn down and kill them all Kill them all Death from above Last yapıyor's building Stand down Assassin's of war yapıyor's building Assassin's Award! Singapore Singapore Singapore Singapore Singapore Singapore Singapore Singapore Singapore Singapore Singapore! Because it's kind of like when a guy loses his wife in his house, in the pool, in the Harley. You just kind of like leave him alone. So it was really, it was very, very, very, I was very happy that you were not only able to find someone to fill in that spot so well, but then to be able to have that chemistry and go into the music. And why don't we let some of the music do the talking now. Now this is New Dia de los Muertos. Hands up, Jenny. Yeah. Hit it. Yeah. Yeah. guitar solo guitar solo guitar solo guitar solo guitar solo guitar solo guitar solo guitar solo Go! Take aim Across the sea Fire the stars and the ground It's done We'll be purified Light the fires of gold Progress in the name of God Tearing the flesh of the world Reborn into a betrayal And the pride of the world will be lost Fuerza, dignidad, la libertad Mold, creed, corazón, revolución Fuerza, dignidad, la libertad Mold, creed, corazón, revolución Mold, creed, corazón, revolución Reborn into a betrayal What is the definition of that? What does that mean? Rosa? That's a very Mexican expression. Rosa, por favor, ¿qué es la explicación de esa canción? Malenchista is the term that we use in Mexico for... And it happens almost in all the Latino countries about you preferring the international stuff of your own. And, um, and very true. Yeah. I mean, we always go for whatever is foreign instead of, you know, supporting our own stuff. And, uh, um, but in this, in this, uh, theme we're talking about, you know, more than anything about all the big corporations, you know, and all the, the, the big just, uh, thieves that are, you know, in the higher positions and, and they're just choosing to, to staff their own people, you know, just to make more money and, and, you know, just to abuse the people and just, you know, pay nothing for their work and stuff like that, which, you know, that's a real malinchista right there. Now in this band, what is the, the artistic order? Are you able to contribute? Like, is this song lyrically? We all, yes. Yeah. I mean, uh, we collaborate in, in the lyrics, you know, the music is them. And, and this album and, uh, because I'm, I'm still new and they already have most of the music. Uh, but lyrically you contributed to this? Yes. I mean, we, we just worked together with the lyrics. So let me, so let me direct two questions to you. Number one, even though you have, you're no longer from Mexico city in Mexico, you're in Seattle, which I, which I find that interesting, but how do you feel about the political situation in Mexico now? And let me ask you another thing. How do you feel about the, um, the drug? Plug that's going on there. And also are you aware, because Mexico tends to have a very independent, very real news source. Are you aware that United States special forces have been in Mexico, not only executing drug cartel pivotal targets, but involved in that whole monopoly where at the same time, we all know that the CIA here in the United States is involved in the importing the drugs. How do you feel about that? And the, terms and the validation of your country, because your country, and also my country, because my parents are from there. I mean, it, it, it's a very sad state in Mexico, economically, and the fact that the people have to deal with that, and also the mass murders that are going on with United States arms that are coming from our country. From here, yes. It's a hypocrisy kind of thing. It's a hypocrisy thing. And, you know, it's, it's, now we know because of all the- I'm very smart. by the way uh now we are you know finding all this stuff because of the social media you know just allowing us to know but i mean this is going on it's gone it's been going on for so many years i mean i grew up in a town called uh in the city of culiacan sinaloa which you know that's where the whole connection for the drug dealers and you know the cartel and all that stuff happens and i remember you know sleeping through you know machine guns and just noise like that through the night and it was really normal for me but um nowadays i mean you cannot cover all this you know corruption going on between governments and everything and and it's too sad but you know a lot of people like like me and my family and and many people that i know in mexico is like you know it's it's you can join the revolution and you can just stop um feeding all these lies and you know you just decided to to keep living your life and supporting what you believe on because if you keep believing in the government you're gonna end up killing yourself you know so i mean we just continue with our regular why you move to like you know to seattle where all the hippies are at because you just want to get away from all that shit i just want some coffee and some pot because i'm sick and tired of decapitation the cia probes and drone attacks and cartel hits yeah yeah i moved to seattle so i had some family there but uh you know but it's true you know it's just you know it we are all happy hippie you know environmentally friendly people but this must be this must be very refreshing for you because not only not only do you find a a vocalist to fill that spot but then here she comes with her own life experiences which makes great real world lyrics which of course goes into what we just heard absolutely you know and now that you mentioned drugs uh the situation i love drugs in mexico when it comes to drugs and the cartels um as a colombian you see a reflection of what happened in colombia 20 years ago when we were there you know when we were there it was the time of pablo escobar and all the big cartels and uh and uh like mass murders and bombings against just terrorism you know which is a state where uh where the mexican drug dealers they still haven't done that thank god but let me ask you this is this is this why you both of you yes are so very like docile and non-confrontational and very get mad you don't know what you're saying right now because you don't you don't seem to have that like aggressive like you know attitude i mean i don't see you guys windmilling i don't see you guys i mean you guys seem to really have like a very humble very appreciative very mellow you have to know when you do use you know are they cabrones are they cabrones rosa really we are we all are yeah i mean we both come from uh actually the three of us come from uh from a very violent environment you know and and very aggressive actually and and there when when you're gonna pick a fight it's for real yeah it's for real you know it's not there's no bluffing there's no there's no oh this is what i'm gonna do it's just like tell him that's it things just happen and people do stuff but they just don't talk now are you all from colombia yeah yeah how do you feel about what's going on in venezuela oh that's another big topic you know um venezuela that's it's a very complex very very close very complicated situation you know um chavez came to power like 15 years ago was 20 not really 15 i think yeah but yeah he's been around for a while let's go 17 we'll split it yeah and at the time i guess it was uh was good for some people because he gave hope to the poor people you know trying to bring in some socialist programs and stuff but uh to me i i never kind of believed the guy honestly is it repressive uh he was very repressive uh he was always a tyrant a lot of how do you feel about the cia killing him um i don't think that would happen and you know why because um no but the the united states is getting its oil and that's all that really matters yeah right yeah there's a lot of oil in venezuela there's a lot of oil in venezuela but uh but the united states is getting it you know it's buying it regularly now this is different this is all segways because i don't want you to think like what am i on political show this is all segways because you as dia de los muertos 10 or have and this is interesting because i didn't know this you have been playing abroad mexico and i believe south uh not south central uh south america as well yeah we played yeah how how was the first show with the lovely rosa i was amazing it was in chile oh my god you played chile yeah we played that was my first show yeah that was the first show in santiago with with accept for the metal fest last year and um how handsome is wolf yeah even i was like wow what moisturizer are you worried yeah he still got that same hot face yeah we were the first band like opening the festival at the copolican it was just awesome except that day right and no no no no i'm pentagram i'm sorry which is a legend in chile yeah they're a great great band yeah yeah yeah and and and we had a lot of fun and we had a lot of fun and we had a lot of fun and we had a lot of fun we had a lot of fun we had a lot of fun we had a lot of fun we had a lot of fun we had a lot of fun we had a lot of fun we had a lot of fun we had a lot of fun we had a lot of fun we had a lot of fun we had a lot of fun we had a lot of fun we had a lot of fun we had a lot of fun we had a lot of fun we had a lot of fun we had a lot of fun we had a lot of fun we had a lot of fun we had a lot of fun we had a lot of fun we had a lot of fun we had a lot of fun we had a lot of fun we had a lot of fun we had a lot of fun we had a lot of fun we had a lot of fun and everybody was there. Sodom. Were you nervous? Carcass. Rosa, were you nervous? Yeah. And then that was her first gig. That is my first gig. We didn't even have a warm-up in a bar or something. Oh, my God. Straight to that stage. But she pulled it off, and it was amazing. And then next day, we were playing Argentina with Carcass, and that was great, too. So after that, then I felt like, okay, this could work. This is really going to work. This is interesting. You are releasing, or you have already released. Yeah. This is an EP called No Money, No Fiesta. How can people get a hold of this? It's actually for free download. So you're following the same as your prior? Yeah, same thing. It will be on free download this Tuesday, you know, in two days from now, ddlm.net. That's the website. You just can go there and get it for free. One more time, one more time. ddlm.net. There you go. D-D-L-M. This is really great. You know what? Why don't we listen to one more song off this EP? And I really love this story, man. I really do. Thank you. The fact that literally the name applies to what you're going through. Dia de los Muertos, The Resurrection. Fucking A. Hands off, Jenny. Hit it. Another round of violence in Venezuela. Security forces use tear gas to disperse protesters in Caracas, many of them students, demanding the release of people detained during recent standoffs. Those who make peace. System of a Down. I don't know. His list is like endless. And then it's going to be set in a cantina because the song is called Cantina del Infierno. Nice. Cantina for real. Will there be free beverages at this cantina? Because I would love to be here. You guys want to come over and hang, you know? You're more than welcome. I'm serious, you know? And then it's going to be really cool because then we have a bartender who's supposed to be Diablo, like the devil, you know? Very good. And Cain Del Pena would be a great bartender. Yeah, yeah. Nobody would walk away. Yeah, and Diablo is going to be played by David Vincent. He's flying in tonight. Oh, that's interesting. And now you're referring to David Vincent from Morbid Angels, right? Yes, yes, yes. So it's going to be really cool. You know, it's going to be fun. I mean, that's what we want. Right on. Are you excited to be... filming a video? Because that's kind of like a weird thing when it comes to like underground bands. Some bands are like against that. Some bands are for it. I mean, are you looking forward to doing that? Yes, yes, yes. We're looking forward. You know, we're very excited about it. It's our first video, actually. We wanted to make a video for... Did you ever make a video with the other line-up? No, because this happened. We were about to make a video when we lost Luana and then we didn't. And so this is our first video. All right, right on, man. Now, what... What else is going on with Diez de los Muertos? I know you've been playing, like I mentioned before, abroad. Are there any shows coming up? Yes, we are playing Hell in Heaven Fest in Mexico. Oh, that's interesting. Yeah, yeah. It was next Sunday and next Saturday. I'm sorry. ¿Vas a regresar, Rosa, a la tierra? Sí, sí, sí. De hecho, regreso. We actually... I'm sorry. I just got carried away there. Oh, that's cool. We're bilingual here. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, we visited Mexico, what, three times last year? Mm-hmm. We did... You know, we played Dia de los Muertos, actually, last year in Mexico City in Morelia. The actual celebration, you know, the Day of the Dead. Yes, yes, we did. I'm well aware of that. Our stage was full of friends. And that's one of the amazing things that happens when I find these guys, that I've been really passionate about the celebration my whole life. So it was like a big coincidence for me to be in a metal band, you know, that encourages and just spreading the word about the celebration. And I think that's what made me feel like, you know, I'm a big fan of the celebration in such an honest, you know, and true way. But so we did that. We did Sonora. We did Mexico City a couple of times. Then we did Guadalajara, Hell and Heaven last year, too. Wow. So we're coming back this year to Mexico City and do the Hell and Heaven, you know. And it's quite amazing for me to go back to my land and, you know, play for a bunch of people. And the last show, it was a bunch of people that were following me. And I think that's what made me feel like, you know, I'm going to be a part of this. And I think that's what made me feel like, you know, I'm going to be a part of this. And it's quite amazing for me to go back to my land and, you know, play for a bunch of people. And the last show, it was a bunch of people that were following me from my first band, Limbo Samba, over there. And it just continues, you know. Now, how has the response been with your new vocalist? Have you had any backlash because, you know, Luana is no longer with you? Or has the audience been the, uh, accept and appreciative of what you've done? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You know, of course, you always get a little bit of backslash. You know, there are some dickheads going, where's Luana? Really? Have you had people like, you know, confuse you for Luana? Yes. Actually, the first the first two shows, all their reviews that we got from them, which they were positive and, you know, everybody was happy. But they were say, Luana. I mean, they didn't know that I was a new person. And, you know, I'm taking the blame for that because I didn't want to make a big show out of her leaving the band. You know, because then I knew people were going to judge even harder, you know, and be ready to like crush Rosa, you know, and say, oh, no, she's not Luana. So I wanted her to prove herself before they could react. You know, but it had to really had to really hit hard for you. Right. I mean, you know, here you are. You're on stage and a new band and then there's still. And they're missing the vocals, especially in Mexico. You know, the first show we did in Mexico. I mean, that was my my real, you know, trial for me because they love Luana. And again, I mean, she did an amazing job and a lot of people. Yeah. You know what? I got to mention that. I mean, I usually it's always kind of like when you're going in transition like that, where you want to under credit prior members. But she really did a good job. She did a great job. Yeah. But I think I think I think in actuality, she's she set the bar high. We're now where you were, where you had to get a vocalist that not only could meet that bar, but raise it. And I think you've accomplished that with this EP. Thank you. Thank you so much. Thank you so much. She's even better live. She's phenomenal. You know, I got to tell you, man, this is this is a great story. You guys all have good energy. I mean, again, I can't keep you from talking. I'm referring to the other member. But I wish you the best. How can people get this EP? Cheers. Why don't you? Well, come on. Why don't you do it? DTLM.net. All right. That's the voice right there. And you're going to be playing. Where are you going to be playing again? Hell in Heaven. Hell in Heaven. And when is that? March 15th. All right. All right, man. I want to thank you for being here on the very Manning to me. Thank you for letting me. Thank you. Thank you. We have some giveaways. It was an honor to be here. We have some giveaways, right? You brought some goodies. Oh, yeah. Yeah. A couple of T-shirts. All right. What do we have there? Fuckers are already fucking hitting me up. God damn it. You derp eggs. We got like three T-shirts. One of them is for you. OK. And I don't know. OK. So we have some T-shirts. We have some T-shirts to give away. Here's the deal. First three guys or first three people to send me inbox. Don't text me. Don't go to my house. Don't call me. Inbox me here on Facebook. Don't call the fucking video line. Tony, don't call. First three people to inbox me saying Dia de los Muertos lives. Get some free swag. And that's courtesy of Dia de los Muertos. Thank you very much. Thank you. Thank you so much. You know, I'm excited for you guys. All right. This is really interesting. Taking W to the opinions here because you we are going to be discussing. The United States release of Immortal Legacy. I've shared this with you in our own personal conversations where I thought that this record, not that any of the other albums had any flaw, but this record really sets the bar high, man. We were pissed off. We had to make a good record. Well, this is interesting. I was. I was very fortunate. You shared this with me that I in our in my prior show, there was this awesome. I had a situation with a prior member and it was broadcasted live because that's what I do. I keep it real. I don't fuck around. I keep it very real. And would it be safe to say that you're a fan of the show? Huge fan. And you enjoy this particular. There's been two episodes that were my favorites. Like over the years, you've done a lot of great shit. But there were two shows. I watched where I could podcast or video podcast, whatever the fuck it's called now, because there's always technical bullshit. But the one with you and Andy Ford is fucking probably the best one ever. I was hoping we would have mentioned his name. Well, it was awesome. I don't care. I'll tell the facts. But we laughed so hard that we started reciting it like we were. Now, that's actually really true, right? Yeah, we would say, you know, you're a deceiver. We were doing all that shit. So then we started rehearsing. You know, we were going over stuff for the new record. We had one song that wasn't finished yet. So when we got to the subject matter and the concept for the song, it was based on the big blowout fight you had with your old partner here on. I think it was KNAC back when you were still at KNAC. Right, when I was at KNAC. But it was awesome. So it was great for writing material because it was based on a guy who's a liar and that you can't trust. And we mixed it up. We fused it with Lucifer. It was awesome. I feel very honored, number one, that you are a fan of the show. Thank you, by the way. But number two, to have a song written and then not only to have it written on an album that I think really has set the bar high. This is an impeccable fucking record. As I mentioned to you before, it is literally already on my top ten of 2014. We just, for us, it's like most bands. But it was another level of just like we wanted it. We wanted to prove ourselves and that we think because we grew up on such great bands, like it's a law for us. You have to top yourself. You can't just try to stay in the same ballpark and be happy with that. So all the bands that we've grown up on have done such phenomenal work that you feel like you have to challenge yourself. And on this record, it was more about I've been working with the Harrison Brothers since the end of 2005. I started working with these guys and I love the kind of people they are because they're from the real place. They're from the real place. They're from the real place. They're from the real place. They're from the real place that I believe in. They grew up the same way. They come from a hardworking family. Their mom and dad's busted their ass and they come from that kind of fiber. So working with those guys was really inspiring. And Lance, the devil's lettuce, Lance, would come over to my house seriously five to seven days a week. We'd work on riffs, just riffs before even arrangements. Thousands of riffs we went through. Wow. You know what? I mean, we really busted our ass and a lot of shit got cut, you know. But the final project. The final product of the, there's 14 songs. There's two bonus tracks, which was all the record label. Like just saying, you know, we don't know how you guys worked in the past. We know you guys have done whatever the fuck you want. But you have to have bonus tracks for this record. And then working with Mottoyer. We'll get in all that. But basically it was a lot of work. A lot of work. But we did it old school though. Like the record is like we went into a real studio. No bullshit. There's fucking wild dog in the corner. There's people sleeping. People sleeping in the studio overnight. And it wasn't pretty. But the record, it's really an amazing record. It is a great record. And here's the deal. I'm going to play that legendary confrontation. I really don't want to mention that person's name. But before I play this, all content from the Jimmy Cab Show does not in any way, shape, or form represent Skid Row Studios, management, staff, or their sponsors. Hands off, Jenny. Play that legendary confrontation as I go relieve my bladder. It's a good thing. All right. So let's get into it. Because I want to get this fucking out of the way. You know what I mean? And since you're here, which a lot of people are surprised that you are, but you are here. Let's mention this. Let's get into it right off the bat. Last week I was crying like a fucking bitch. Like a severe bitch. Like a big baby. And I had a lot of people tell me, hey, you're crying like a bitch. I said, I am a bitch. I'm a big fat bitch. And I'm a dick. You are a dick. You are a fucking. You actually. You won this year's. Asshole of the year. The manic metal asshole of the year award. Well, you're the bitch of the decade. So what's your point? You are a fucking verga, dude. So what I want to ask you right off the bat, dude. Right off the bat. Because a lot of things happened last week that I'm still very upset about. And I'm sure the rest of the world knows as well. Because I made it very, very clear. I sold the Neil Diamond tickets. You sold my Neil Diamond tickets. Can you believe that, guys? Is this guy a fucking asshole or what? Look at Bloody Buff. He's all happy and shit. The thing about. Here's about. Here's the thing. I only got the seed for selling the Neil Diamond tickets when I called Jimmy Cabs up Tuesday morning and said, Dude, my dad's not doing. You need to be up there, dude. Sell the tickets. So the first words out of his mouth. No, no, no, no, no. Yes, they were. Don't lie. You know what? You need to sell those tickets is what you said. No, no, no, no. That's that hustling spin you do. But real quick, I want to ask you. Do you really want to hurt me, dude? Do you really want to hurt my feelings? Dude, but I mean, could you seriously? My dad paid for those tickets. Could you have gone to Neil Diamond and enjoyed yourself with that man? Was in the hospital? Here's the deal. Let's get it. Really? Let's get into this now, because this is something that goes way beyond the tickets. All right. And the reason I didn't tell you is because if they didn't sell. Because you're a scumbag. No, because if they didn't. If they didn't sell when I put them on Craigslist, I was going to give them to you anyway. But they sold. No, no, no, no, no. Let's let's get into something real quick here, because this is very interesting. You do know that Neil Diamond is. You do know that I was really looking forward to that, right? I do. You do. I was looking forward to that. You do know that Neil Diamond is very, very. Very close in my heart, right? He's like a performer that I really. But are you saying he's more important than my dad? Hang on. Let's let's let's put a fucking muzzle on that fucker. So I get my point across here. Your dad was ill. Very understandable. Very ill in the hospital. In the hospital. Very understandable. Let's go back to March and April. Do you remember that? It was a festivity that was held in my honor, which was my birthday. Yeah. Even though it wasn't on my birthday. But I found that ironic. I got my dad to pay for those tickets for your birthday. Yes. Right. But. Do you remember that you took a collection at that show? Oh, yeah. We got nineteen dollars. OK. Which those tickets were two hundred and fifty. OK. But you did take a collection, right? Yeah. And we bought rounds with it. OK. So the night. Is that what happened to that money? OK. Well, here's this is why I'm upset. Everyone's under the impression that I'm upset because I didn't go to the concert, which is valid. It's true. I was very, very pissed, especially since I waited months in advance for that. But what pisses me off more and what really fucking really set me off is that you fucking lie to me. And I've told you. I've told you in person in our own private conversations. You have certain traits that I do not like about you. I don't like the fact that you're a hustler. I don't like the fact that you. I don't like the fact that you scumbag. You have scumbag traditions. I don't like the fact that you free law of people. Do you recall me telling you that? Why are we doing this on the air? Because we do everything on the air. Do you have traits that I don't like? If we're going to go back on it. You're a fucking dick. I am a dick. I am a dick. I'm a whiny bitch. Whiny bitch. So it's all good. As a matter of work. Well, together. As a matter of fact, last week I even went out. I even acknowledged and I honestly told people my the way my personality is. You know, people think that I'm an asshole or that I'm unapproachable. I'm a very shy person, dude. I'm not a sociable person because I keep to myself. Okay. Pence, you're a very, very friendly person. People love you. Like I've compared you to like a St. Bernard. You know, you come up. Everybody wants to pet you. Everybody loves the St. Bernard until the fucking slobbering gets all over you. The hair gets all over you. Then you just want the fucking dog to get away. What I don't like, though, is those traits that I just mentioned. Okay. And I don't like that you want like a bitch, but I put up with it. And I didn't know. I did not know that you are a fucking liar and a deceiver. You lied to me. All I told you is I didn't tell you I sold the tickets, man. You lied to me. You didn't tell me. Hey, come by my pad on Thursday or that I was flying out. No, no. Let me correct myself. I told you that because I didn't come by my cup by my pad on Wednesday because I'm flying out Thursday. Do you recall that? Yes. Now, you're mentioning that I told you sell the tickets. The exact thing that I told you was. You need to sell those tickets. I said. And I quote. And I quote. And I said, hey, maybe you should sell those tickets. And then instantly you're like, yo, which means that those tickets were already either sold or they were pending or that you never even got them. No, I got tickets. Okay. Well, here's the deal. You lied to me. I wouldn't have got to NorCal if I didn't. You lied to me. You told me that your mom bought you that plane ticket. Wow. That you had bought a bus ticket. And that your mom upgraded it. Lie number one. Right? Right. Did you tell me that? Right. You're a fucking liar. You're a scumbag. You lied to me. You're a scumbag too. What's your point, man? You lied to me, dude. That's the point. You lied to me. Because I didn't want to hear you fucking whine. Well, here's the deal. Here we are being subversive radio. We're supposed to be comrades, a rebellious unit against the fucking world. And you bullshit me. You bullshit me. How can you do that? You're supposed to be my friend. And you bullshit me. Knowing. The demeanor. The demeanor. The personality. And the way I think. You lied to me. If you would have just told me. Hey, dude. You know what? I sold the tickets. I'm going to sell these tickets, dude. I'm going to sell these tickets. I would have been pissed. I would have talked shit. But I wouldn't be irate. I wouldn't have lost that trust that I had with you. I wouldn't have lost the respect that I have for you. No, dude. You lied to me. That's the point. That's what I'm addressing. Hey, are we done now? That's the issue. No, dude. Because this is my show. I'm feeling here for somebody. So when I'm on this seat. This is my show, dude. You don't dictate it. You don't tell me what to do. Okay? Point number two. Rumors. I'm ready to get your ass kicked on your show. Listen. You know what's funny? I expect that. I expect that. Anytime you want to jump over that console. Feel free, dude. Because let me tell you something. It ain't that easy. It ain't that easy. But address. Let me address number two, dude. This is what really, really set me off. Okay? Is that instead of being straight up with me. For some reason. You just thought. Like what you do socially. Like what you do. Like what you do. What you do socially. Hustle people. Hey, that's your business. That's your shit. But you took a collection on that day. And whether it was $19 or $20 or a dollar. People gave you money, dude. Because they thought that was going towards this cause. And that's the problem I have number two. I do not want you hustling my audience. I do not want you disrespecting my audience. Anything that's associated with me or this show. I will not tolerate, dude. Straight up. Okay? Every man's a man. Jimmy's trying to win a respectable show. Let him play. Let him play. Let him play. Let him play. Let him play. Let him play. Let him play. Let him play. Let him play. Let him play. Let him play. Let him play. Let him play. Let him play. Let him play. Let him play. Let him play. I'm impressed with them because they're not our label, but they're distributing it like they are our label. That's really cool. Good. Well, I think they know they sell a lot of metal. So Nuclear Blast was like, if we can just bring this in and sell it with all of our other releases, why not? It benefits everybody. It benefits us. It benefits them. It benefits our label. So it's all good. Let me reflect real quick. Here's the deal. This is the first time, aside from being on Metal Blade in the early 80s, this is the first time that you've been on a label. You've been doing your own thing for decades on Black Devil Records. Kind of nervous to do it at first because, you know, when you do records by yourself after you've been on a label and you go into that underground thing where you're doing your own shit and distributing it and talking to people and they're helping you get it out. But what we still would still do, no matter if this weren't to work out, we would go back to what we always did. Which was do our own shit. But it is kind of cool to have a label that actually digs what we're doing, putting the time into it, getting the record. They're getting it to people that we couldn't get it to. So that's the bonus. I still believe in doing it yourself at the same time. But it's nice to have another company that, you know, it's not like typical rock star shit that we work as a team. They're promoting us. They're pushing us. And we're still involved, too. We're not one of those bands that's, you know, our hands aren't involved. We're involved totally. When you... Signed to SPV, being that you were coming from an underground independent, your own label, were you kind of, in a way, shape or form, hesitant? Big time. And we also didn't want to do like a lot of bands where they sign for three records and then they're screwed. Right. So we don't do that. Like, we'll do it for the record and we'll see how it goes. And if everything's cool, we'll do the next record with them, you know? I mean, you got to be kind of smart. You don't have to be super smart because most of us aren't the brightest. I mean, we're bright when it comes to writing music. But logistically and contractually, we're not, you know, we're not fucking lawyers. So try to be smart. If there's any other younger bands listening, I would say just try to sign for a record at a time if you can. Like, most labels don't do that. They won't let you sign for just one record with an option. But would you agree, though? And, I mean, this is for the rest of your bandmates as well. And, you know, we're going to talk about... Talk about the new fucker? The new drummer here in the band. Yeah, look at that hot motherfucker. Lance and your brother. Like, would you agree that when you kind of sign to, like, a label, there's this misconception that all of a sudden you're going to be thrown fucking money? Yeah, yeah, totally. No. No, that's not the case, right? All I know is a record label has a bigger dick to swing than we do, so... But, in all honesty, though, I mean, no, really, you know what? That's an accurate statement because, like, now that record will go to... More people than we could have... More people in certain... In certain regions. I mean, I thought you guys were already leading the way. I mean, aside from Paul D'Anno, you guys play some fucking obscure places, man. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And you guys go and conquer those countries where then, after, it becomes in the business as what I would call marketable territory to send bands into PR. When it wasn't before we got... Yeah, you guys were playing places before anybody else was playing. A lot of bands. I know. And that's why you have this loyal following worldwide. Correct? Well, I think the thing with us, though, is people realize we're for real when it comes to what we do. Like, we're not perfect. Nobody is. But we really are one of those bands that believes in going into markets that most bands wouldn't go into those markets. Because we're not scared and we've got, you know, ball coins to spend. So, we come in there... See, I've been getting everybody hip to Bitcoin, so he took Bitcoins and he turned it into ball coins. But, no, we are... We are... We are... We are... We are... We are... We are... We are... We are... We are... We are... We are... We are... We are... We are... We are... We are... No, we are... I think what it is with us, we really have nothing to lose because, you know, we come from really humble backgrounds. So, when you just appreciate everything and you like a good fucking burrito from whatever restaurant that makes a good fucking burrito. Like, with us, like, we're one of those bands that will play territory seriously that most bands won't go to. Because, for one, it hasn't been proven yet, like, that you can go there and make some money or whatever. We go there for the people and generally that's the main reason we go there. And then if we make money... If we make money, that's cool, but we're going there for the people. So... But now that you're on a label, though, isn't it... It helps, but it's still scary because, you know, we're one of those bands that still wants to know what the fuck's going on. And, like, we're worried how they're marketing the shit if they're doing it to the right... If you send our music to the right audience, it's going to do great. But if you send it to the wrong audience, you know, it's not. You know, because we're not a commercial band and we never will be. We never signed on for that anyways. We... I'm really glad to hear this because, you know what, I would say that this record is indeed one of the most pivotal records that you've released in a long time. And the energy, the energy really is what stands out, man. Yeah, you know, I think for all of us going into it, though, we knew what was at stake. Like, we had already... We've done a certain thing and we've conquered a certain level, but we're trying to, with at the same time, maintain our integrity and what we love, you know, which is good music, no matter who does it and how it's played. It's good. It's fucking good. So just trying to maintain that integrity, but also take it to a new level and make something that's going to be remembered. I mean, that's kind of the whole concept of the record. We wanted to leave our mark. You know, we're not done creating stuff. We want to get better because that's just the way it should be. Like, we shouldn't say, oh, we got to this point and everything's cool. We should be trying to write better songs, better production. That's why Bill was brought on, you know, that kind of shit. You know what? We're going to get into that in more detail. But you know what? Why don't we play? Another track off. Which one? What are you playing? You know what? I love this song called Black Smoke. Do we have any control? Play some shit, Jenny. Hands off, Jenny. Let's play some Black Smoke. Hit it. Great. Let's play some Black Smoke. Let's play some Black Smoke. Let's play some Black Smoke. Never surrender, never bow down My family will avenge The sight of war Back to the end of the age The sight of war Send them back to hell Back to the end of the age Back to the end of the age Take it like it is ease Division and despair Rising out of the dark To steal hypocrisy Break the status quo The beast in my heart will save us all Serving Singapore, here's a death You'll never see them coming your way Out in the dark and their plain sight No rooms in this game that they play Lasting to kill, bring us a death That is reasonable Ten of these fights, battles we'll run We will hunt you down The sight of war Back to the end of the age Smoke fills the air. The signs of war. Send the man to hell. To hell. All right. What you heard there was black. Smoke. Smoke, motherfuckers. That's off the new Hyrax record, Immortal Legacy, which you can pick up on SPV, Steam Hammer Records, and in Europe, Nuclear Blast, correct? Yeah, everywhere. Those guys are all involved. Check the U.S. too. Nuclear Blast U.S. Just so, you know, cheaper on shipping. I don't know if you can tell, but Lance smokes. That's why his voice is so manly. I smoke lots of... So it's like black smoke? Is that like a song that was inspired by Lance's Devil's Lettuce? By black... Pretty much. It took a lot of black smoke to write that. That's a great record, actually. This is really a great record. In all seriousness, let me just mention the fact that not only does it retain the Hyrax integrity, and what I mean by that, it just really retains the whole, like, underground, very aggressive, very true essence of what Hyrax is, but this album really goes to a whole other level, man. It's not only unified, which is very interesting. I want to get into that. There's a very unified... sound to this. In other words, finally, it seems that the Hyrax machine, and this has been going on for a couple years now, has been in unison. Well, more than ever, I think it has a lot to do with me, Lance, and Steve. I mean, we've got this new fucker who we'll talk about in a few here. Fucker. I'm dying to talk about this new fucker. People can't see him, but... Well, maybe they can. I don't know. But me and Lance and Steve, we've been through a lot, and we're not like one of those bands that's going to get all crybaby on you, but we're kind of close. In a way, we have our separate lives, but when we come together on music, that's the time that we... For some reason, it's just magical. Then we go away, and we do our other shit, our personal lives, but musically, it's been something that's been cool. We have the same ideas, and we want to just play metal, and we want to travel, and do things that we never could have done without each other. We're actually a unit. It's crazy. We don't always talk about it, but we know that we all help each other. We help each other out. That's probably where the unification on the record comes from, because we couldn't even tap that ourselves. It just happens. We all work really hard. We all put the time in, and put up with a lot of shit, because we love playing music. Now, why don't you introduce your new percussionist? Okay. You know, it's funny. We've been checking this guy out for years. Well, not years, like the last year or two, maybe. We knew sooner or later we'd have to make a change in the drumming department, just because things... over the time has changed, and the timing was right. Like, we had some stuff happening. The record was done. We knew that there was going to be a lot of touring coming up, and we gave Mike a call, and we talked to him before this, but we didn't rush anything. We took our sweet-ass time, and it worked out good for him, because he was available. But anyways, we brought in Mike Vega, who's the new guy over here. Welcome, Mike. Welcome, Mike. Welcome, Mike. Welcome to the Gary Manning Jam Show. How was it playing with Prince? How was it playing with Prince? How was that game? Welcome to the fucking family. Now, this is interesting, because you've played with the Lightning Swords of Death, which is another amazing fucking black metal band from Los Angeles that I really like. Are you still with... No, no, no. I did the last two records with them, and then after the last record, I called it quits. I had other... I was playing with Dr. No at the time. Right, you played with Dr. No. Yeah. And then now you're playing with the Battalion of Saints? I was playing with them, yeah, about the same time. So I was doing Dr. No, Battalion of Saints. But I was happy with the last record with Lightning Swords, and I had to call it quits for my own personal reasons. He boned somebody's girlfriend. Just being really honest. Well, that wasn't supposed to come up. So are you an official... Is he an official Hyrex member now? Well, this is what we try to... What happened to your old drummer? Old is the word. Old is the word. But, no, this is really what the deal is. Like, okay... By the way, is it true that he likes cheese? He loves cheese. Our old drummer really loves cheese. He likes dairy products. Chocolate, cheese... He also loves Nam, right? Yeah, but he also likes mayonnaise. He likes a lot of mayonnaise, too. Now, what's the deal with you and Nam? What's up with that? Nam sucks. As you know, I hate fucking Nam. No, I... Okay, I'll be honest with you. See, I'm not fucking one of those people who's going to come down here and be fake. And you told me you hated him, too. Because I've never been there. Now he's got PTSD. He's got PTSD. And I never... So, like, are you officially, like, a Nam? I'm not a Namster. We'll get back to you right after. He's not a Nami. We'll come back to Mike in a second. I'm not a Namster. What it really is is the thing I do like about it that you can actually go drink. And it's like a... Are you a Nam because you're on a label now and the record is a promotion? Well, I'll be honest with you. I did go there to talk about the new record. I would be lying if I didn't say that. But the other thing was is over the years of people telling me, hey, Nam, and a lot of people... I mean... Yeah, like, fuck Nam. A lot of people are guilty, all right? Because a lot of motherfuckers go and they probably don't talk about it too much because it's a trip. It's a corporate fucking mega event, all right? But the cool thing about it is there's so much drinking and alcoholism going on, that's the best part of it. Besides, okay, yeah, people are going down there to, you know, network and all this shit. You have never seen so much alcoholism. I am not kidding you. Well, this is interesting because now that you're on a label, do you feel that... You have to go... And this is a serious question because you've always been an underground guy where you've been on doing it your own way, you know, your own rules. Now that you're on a label, are you... And this is... I'm being serious. Are you going out of your way to... More than I have in the past. ...go into what would be perceived... What I wouldn't normally go, yeah. ...perceived as, like, you know, the PR aspect of it? Yeah. How do you feel about that? It's a double-edged sword. Not just saying that because other people have said it, but it is because you... Integrity-wise, kind of dealing with yourself as to what you really don't want to do and what you will let yourself do. Because you do want the record to be successful. Well, that's the... You do want it to be promoted. The reason is, too, I feel that we worked really hard on this record, so I've got to do everything I can to help it, even though it's some stuff that I normally wouldn't. Like, records before this, I'd never have gone to NAMM. I'll probably go to other things that I wouldn't go to just because I believe in the record so much. But at the same time, how I can defend myself is I feel like I am that underground fucker, so that I'm even allowed to go to these things when I shouldn't even be allowed to go to them. I was a harsh critic. I should, yeah. But I saw Harold O there, too, though. But you know what? Let me be honest with you. I was a harsh critic, but you have still retained your underground. I'm not... I'm never going to lose that. But the thing is, I feel that I'm also representing those bastards from the underground. So in a way, I feel like I'm kind of going in just to represent the people that normally can't even go in. So don't be a hater. Dude, for me to even get in is amazing because I... Come on. I'm a fucking singer. I don't need a guitar or drums. I mean, I'm just going there to hang out. But I kind of feel that I'm representing a lot of the underground people that won't go to those things, even though, trust me, it wasn't my favorite thing to do. Besides drinking there, that was my favorite thing to do. But I did talk to some people, and it really was about promoting the new album. But at the same time, then I see some of my heroes walking around that I could actually talk to, and that was the second thing I liked about it, that I would run into, like, you know, Eddie Ojeda from Twisted Sister, and he, you know... Jada. Really cool guys, you know? And there's a lot of musicians there. Hey, Mike's back with the beer! Hey, fucking beer! Come on! He can't... You know what? Salvador and Mike can't talk. He can't write. He's illiterate as fuck, but he can get some fucking beer. But he can get some cold beer. But beyond that, beyond the whole NAMM thing, back to our new drummer. Fucking hell. Yeah, now you have a new drummer. Well, when it came down to it, we saw him... Has he played live with you? Not yet. No, he's going to do the European tour, which we started. Are you excited? Oh, absolutely. It's going to be amazing. April, we go to... We start in Europe, the first of this tour from the new album. But we had checked him out, though. It wasn't like a hasty decision. Like, we checked him out. Now, were you familiar with his work with the Lightning Swords? Because, in all fairness to you, this isn't an Ask Us show. That band is amazing, and the recordings, especially the percussion, was really good. Now, you worked on both albums, correct? The first one, I think. Both of them. Both of them? Before, they had the drummer from... I'm sorry. Vagina? Vagina. I didn't know that. I actually really liked that band. Vagina Monologues? You worked on both records, correct? I did the two records on Metal Blade. The second one's my favorite because I feel everybody was an artist in that one. It's a great record. Yeah. John Haddad from Trent Studios did... He tracked both ones, but the second one, he also mastered. The second one... I mean, the first one, we sent to Sweden, to Necromorbis. I wasn't too happy with... It just sounded too kind of like blurred, but he's a drummer, so I feel like I got my best drum sound because he's a drummer, so I thank him. Now, how does that differ from playing with the Hyrex Project? Because it's completely two different animals. Oh, I play with a lot of different animals. But this is fucking Hyrex, bro. It's a fucking animal, dude. This is Hyrex, brother. I'm the cougar, man. I don't think you're going to laugh. Answer the question. Mike, answer the fucking question. How do you feel playing going from that beast to this beast? It's up my alley. That's my roots. I played punk rock, thrash, black metal, death metal. It doesn't matter. That was a good question. That's a great answer. Yeah. Now we're not going to... Thank you, Mike. We were going to rat-tack him when we got out. You're not into cheese, are you? Now he's cool. Yo, Jimmy. You heard it on Jimmy Cab, the Pony Boys show. You heard it on Jimmy Cab. You heard it on Jimmy Cab. Jimmy Cab's the Pony Boys show that Mike just laid it down for you. I went and saw him one night. I was there to check out a bunch of bands. It was like Dr. No, Sacred Right, and which... Vermock. Vermock. And I saw him play, and I was like, well, we needed a guy that's also... For us, really, with Mike, this is what's going to happen. It's up to him how long he stays. We want him in the band, but I don't want to be one of those guys when they introduce musicians and say, oh, it's perfect. Like, he's going to have to go on the road with us, see how things work. You know, he's just in the band now. He hasn't gone out on tour with us. You know, hopefully, everything will go smooth, and then we can get to the next record, which is still going to be probably a year or two away because we've got to tour off this record. But I do think he's got the chops for what we're doing, and he does come from the right background. And we wanted to get somebody that also was hungry. It's not just about... Absolutely. That's important right there. Somebody who wants to come in and really want to contribute to the band and be a part of it and, like, uplift us. Like, we want somebody that's going to bring something to the table, not just coming and playing typical drums, you know? For sure. We're like Vikings with a brand-new ship, and we're fucking going to head out and fucking conquer some shit. We're going to fuck shit up. We're going to fuck some shit up. And if not, we're going to fucking go to Baha'i. Anybody thinks we're coming to their house and shit ain't getting broken, they're out of their minds. Some shit's going to get broken. Oh, my God. You better watch your ass, Jimmy. Yeah, Jimmy, we're coming for you, bro. Because Lance and the Devil's Lettuce are coming for you. You better have some carnia sodas and fucking tamales ready, Jimmy. We're coming over. I got ball fucking. I got ball fucking coins, too. All right, this record's really interesting because it also features some extraordinary, long-term, true underground musicians. We're going to get into that subject in a minute, but we're going to get into some music right now. This is Hell in Rising, which was the first track that you released, which is impeccable. Let's listen to that. Jenny? Jenny, let's fuck some shit up. Let's fuck shit up. She's too quick. Out to your knees Our market And the apocalypse Now is here Let's go. This is the world The trades move high As emotions shake the earth Hell bring up Death and destruction To the dead The wreck is begun The wrath is unleashed The witching hour is here Scorching the world The mercy Black holy war Where the angels cry Hail your lives Hail your lives Where the angels cry Hail your lives Hail your lives Massive annihilation The killing of the typhoon Can't stop it Power from within Can't stop it yapıyor a cybert yapıyor a cybert The hell's arising The hell's arising How to get it out of my head The apocalypse is out of hand guitar solo guitar solo Hell's arising How to get it out of hand The apocalypse is out of hand guitar solo guitar solo guitar solo guitar solo guitar solo guitar solo guitar solo guitar solo guitar solo Alright! That was Hellion Rising. That's off the... We've come for your children. What a tick. That's off the new Hyrax Immortal Legacy record. As I mentioned before, this record really takes, uh, uh, Hyrax really ups the stakes on this album. This is really an impeccable record. On this record, you played with some amazing musicians from Los Angeles. I believe we have Juan Garcia on the line? Juan! Juan! Juan, are you on the line? Is he there? Hey, what's up, man? Welcome to The Very Manic Jimmy Cab Show. Thank you, Jimmy. Hello, everybody. What is this matter? I love that guy! Now, Juan, you were asked to play on this album. What tracks did he play on? Did he play on Hellion Rising? Yeah, he played on Hellion Rising, which was the first real official single, and he fucking killed it. The World Will Burn. He played on The World Will Burn, and what... Wait, wait, wait! Fuck you! It's, uh, Gallows Pole. He played on Gallows Pole. That's right, Gallows Pole. And he brought a lot to the table. The guy was really professional, showed up early, which he was even there before we got there. We walked in, and he was already in there fucking ready to go. Um, and it was awesome to watch him work. The guy's too much, though. He wants to just keep laying down shit. That's the only problem. The only problem with Juan Garcia is he's like, is that good enough? He'll keep fucking going. Like, we could've been there fucking five, ten hours easy with him. He's insane. Now, let me mention this. Juan Garcia, uh, for those of you that have been listening to my show, you know that I'm an admirer and I'm a fan, but Juan Garcia is literally, and I think you're gonna collaborate this with me, King. Okay, bring it, bring it. One of the most unappreciated truly underrated guitarist in Los Angeles. This guy is the premier in Los Angeles. The premier guitarist. I'll go on record and say this about him. Dude, he was there from the forefront, from the beginning. What I like about the fucking dude, and we'll let him chime in in a second because he's on the line right now, but I'll say this, and this is one old schooler to another old schooler. He's a class act, and that's, I'm not just saying that, like, in every aspect, whether we're drinking or we're doing music, the guy's a total class act. It was amazing to have him come down. Like, for me, the special thing, not just having the special guitar guys come in, but to be able to witness him laying down the tracks. You know, watching Juan work was cool, man. I'll definitely vouch for Juan, and I watched him fucking play on my shit. Lance, were you shitting a brick? Were you shitting a brick? Not at all. Did he bring up your game a little bit? The bummer was my shit was all already recorded, so I couldn't go back and recant. After Juan did his takes, Lance was like, can I go back in? Yeah, no. Juan kicked ass. Juan kicked ass. Juan came in and fucking, like, basically, Juan came in like Al Capone and shot up the whole fucking studio. Was Lance like the, actually, someone gave me a recording of Lance at Bill Metoyer's studio when you were recording the album. I heard this is what Lance... Juan Garcia recording Can I go back? Yeah. You got it. Here's up on our... Here's the deal. Dan, when you went into the restroom, here's a bootleg recording of you talking shit about Juan. Go ahead and kill me, you cocksucker! But I gotta say this, you gotta let Juan talk now because he's on the line, but the dude smoked balls in the studio. Juan, how did you like recording with Hyrex on this fucking great record? It was a privilege to work with him. I mean, I was like, to work with Bill Metoyer and Lance and Caden on this, you know, it was right up my alley, old school metal, speed metal style, and Caden picked some good tracks for me to play over. He knew my style. Which, uh, the music from Hyrex, I'm playing in my playing and so forth, so it was really, it was a lot of fun. It was, you know, just going in and kick ass and I'm very proud of my work and I'm very proud of the new Hyrex record. You should be very proud of your work. Let me tell you, man, I think in Los Angeles, there are very few guitarists in the metal scene that really have been so pivotal that do not get recognized, and you are one of them. Let me also say this, the fact that you, after all these decades, have not only still been true, not only with your own projects, but the fact that you were able to add your own contribution to this great record, I admire that. And here's the deal, the fact that Caden, you acknowledge this guy. Yeah. Because I've been one of the most pivotal fucking assholes to say, you're like a fucking narcissistic fucking Nazi fucking SS fucking... I'm worse. I'm worse. Yeah, but you acknowledge not only Juan Garcia and his fucking contribution to the Ally Underground scene, but you said, hey, bring this guy on board. It's respect too, though, man. Like, not, okay, we become friends. Hey, Juan, are we fucking friends? One of these days, yeah, sometime in 2014. Well, the thing is, it's more, I would say, I respect his work. I mean, I've known about him for years, and obviously there was this not just... Decades. Yeah, not just the rivalry thing, because when you are in the same city and you're doing music, you can't help but have, you know, like, hey, this guy's a badass, so it's like a rival, but I, more later as you get older, you go, I fucking respect this guy's work. And then we started becoming friends and talking, and we did some shows together, and once this record was coming around, it was like, we had some openings where we could bring in some guys to do some guitar solo, and I was thinking, if I'm gonna do this, I'd talk to the guys, I was like, let's get the best guys we know in LA, because LA, to us, is actually underrated for talent, and I think we got three of the best. I don't really think there's anybody better than the three guys we got. Why don't you mention who else played on this album? Well, there was Juan motherfucking Garcia, and there was Jim Durkin from Dark Angel, and then there was fucking Rocky George from Suicidal Tendencies, and to me, those three guys alone, those are the guys that... Yeah, we've all ripped. I don't even think I could think anybody higher than that, seriously. In LA, nobody better, so we wanted to make the record special, but I thought it was cool that we got three guys that were fucking phenomenal. It was really cool, because we wrote this record for two. You know, two guitar players, Hyrax has always been a two guitar player band, whatever. Except in the first couple of days. But when he mentioned the dudes that we were bringing in, I was like, holy shit, you know? It fucking... Could you choose better? Juan, what are you doing? Are you like eating tuna or something? What the fuck? I don't know. I was drinking an iced tea, actually. I was drinking an iced tea, actually. He's drinking iced tea. These are good microphones. I was drinking an iced tea watching Cleveland Indians play the Milwaukee Blues. That's hot. Free training. Hey, but I also want to add, you know, Lance brought his A-game, man. Let me tell you, he inspired me to come in and kick some ass, because, you know, he was seriously shredding on this Hyrax record, so we gotta give it up to Lance as well, here. Fucking Lance! But no, you won. Thank you, bro. All three guitar players, can I tell you what's really the most awesome story of the whole thing? I called all of them the same day, and within a half hour, all of them were like, we're fucking doing this. That was what was really cool about it. Like, no bullshit, no calling management, no fucking talking to label people. I called these guys all personally, and it was a nice story, and it kind of came around the same time when the Hanneman, what was that thing they did at the Palladium? The Tribute. Oh, the Tribute. The so-called Tribute. The Memorial Tribute, whatever you want to call it. It's kind of, in a way, I feel real good about that, because right around that time is when everybody kind of came together, like the guitar players that were going to be the special guests. They were all there. Bill Mottoyer went, and he ran into Rocky George there, and that's kind of where Rocky said, what are you doing, Bill? And Bill goes, I'm working on a new Hyrax record. And Rocky's like, hey, let Kate know if he needs somebody to do a couple of solos, I'd be into it. So, that kind of sparked, and then Juan, I, Juan's kind of like, he doesn't know it, but we're fucking keeping an eye on him. I know he's a busy man. Juan, are you aware, here's the deal, are you aware that not only have you been, like, scouted by the Hyrax group, but... Oh, we're watching that fucker. Is there any, is there any potential to have the master of metal, Juan Garcia, possibly play on stage? Well, our thing is, if we play locally, if we play locally and he's available, like, it's one of those where we can do a special thing where Juan comes up and does, like, especially Hellion Rising because him and Lance on that track, it's almost like... Fuck. Look at Lance, he's like, I don't, I don't know, fuck you, fuck you. Fuck that guy. Let me tell you. Juan played great on all the tracks, but there's something about Hellion Rising when you hear him and Lance going back and forth. Lance, would you like to, would you like to be on stage with Juan Garcia? I would fucking love it. You know why? No, no, not at all. You know, rehearsal, I love that little crybaby shit, but I'm a man. I don't ever... Would you like to have Juan Garcia be right next to you and play? Fuck yeah, dude. Fuck yes. I would. It'd be cool. But then, I'll tell you, Juan came in there, dude, and it was like fucking he was shooting bullets all over the studio. Yeah. It was great, you know, so. Yeah. If it ever works out where we can have him come up and jam, we'd love it. But we're also, later on down the line, if this record does really well, Juan should be scared because we're gonna probably call him. The guy's... He's... I feel the thing is with... No, the thing is with Juan, dude, I think he's such a good guitar player and it's, I mean, he's, I love what he does with his own band, you know, I should say bands. Bands. Because he's always got a bunch of stuff going on, but the guy, he should be doing major things because he's a badass motherfucking guitar. He's a true fucking musician. He's a great guitar player, man. Yeah. He really is. In all seriousness, you know what, being that here you are at this point in your career, finally, with a really unified, truly talented Hyrax group, and then you open the invitation to bring, like, legendary LA musicians like Juan Garcia. It's about time we did it, though, like, I feel like... It really is. Well, a lot... I think the problem... I think you should play a show in Los Angeles and really bring all those stuff back to it. Part of my thing is with LA, I think that we're not unified, like, I'll straight out say this, San Francisco's got it right, like, those bands, they're unified with each other. And here in LA, there's a lot of great bands like Agent Steel and Evil Dead and fucking Suicidal Tendencies and Dark Angel, and it's like time for us to, like... Dude, LA's got a great fucking metal scene. What's the fuck is going on that people sometimes try to sidestep? And this is a really amazing plethora of great musicians and... The music scene here's been underrated, I think, for a long time, because San Francisco has gotten a lot more of that notoriety, but, dude, if you think about it, half the bands from here went up there and killed it. Yeah, absolutely. Juan Garcia. Yes. Not only have you contributed to this great record, but how would you feel about being a part of it, like, at live shows, especially internationally? If Caden and Lance want me to come up and guest on a couple songs, or one song, hey, I'd be down. My schedule allows it, not a problem. I mean, I'm first and foremost a Hi-Racks fan, so just from that perspective, it would be an honor to come up and, you know, jam and have some fun. Isn't that what it's all about? But also, Juan's a busy man. He's playing with Body Count, you know, which is awesome. Like, congratulations, Juan. You're the fucking man. Fucking Body Count. Yeah, so, I mean, he's doing his thing, but for us, it's like, for one, playing with Juan's cool, because, like, all of us are crazy, but he's crazy enough for us. Yeah, he can handle it. Like, when you talk to musicians, like, to find guys that you actually can even coexist with is amazing, and Juan just, no matter what, we're always gonna be appreciative and supportive of what he does. You know, so he's a friend first and foremost, besides his music shit, you know? That's great. You know what, Juan, I gotta tell you, man, the fact that you contributed to his record is amazing, and it's... No, that was a lot of fun. He killed it! Dude, on the... Yeah. There's a solo he does, there's a bunch, but there's a solo he does on The World Will Burn that's fucking... Could you pull up that song? Could you play that motherfucker? I don't even know if you guys have it queued up, but there's this... Is it the intro solo? It's the very last song, The World Will Burn, and then there's another song, though, The Gallows Pull. That fucking song. He does some magical shit on the record. Juan's solo, and it... But I don't wanna downplay the other guys, too, because, I mean, it sucks because they're all so badass, like, Jim Durkin brought some fucking heat. Durkin kicked ass. You know what? We haven't mentioned that. Jim Durkin's on this record, Rocky George... Rocky George is one of my favorite... Rocky's one of my favorite guitar players of all time. He's amazing. Mine, too. It's really cool to be... You know, and I'm looking forward to hearing the whole record, sitting out cracking a beer and hearing the whole record, and, uh, yeah, I really look forward to the Hyrax session. Dude, all the guys... All the guys and Juan, I think we're going off because you're on air, but, dude, you fucking killed it. Yeah. I mean, I'm not just saying that. Juan came in there, it was fucking sick. It was funny watching him, because he's like, is that good enough? And we're like, dude, dude, that kicked ass. We had to tell him to stop playing. Bill Mottoyer... Bill Mottoyer... Seriously, Bill Mottoyer told Juan Garcia, go home, because fucking he was... he had already killed everything. It was like, nothing more for him to do, because he just came in and did... Nat... he's a natural guitar player, which is really nice. Like, some guys have to work at it harder. These guys are passing notes, Juan, so I'll let you know what's going on here in the studio. Oh, my God, it's sixth grade again. Juan came in there, he's a natural guitar player, dude. He just... he flows, he has it in him. It's just there. Can I say something as a guitar player that had all these fucking awesome dudes that I look up to? No! You know what? The good thing is... Who has a baby in there? Fucking Jimmy Cavs. Is there a baby? What do you want to say, Larry? Oh, it's me. It's me. It was just really awesome seeing all these legendary guys come in and duel each other and me, and really create you know, add to some really awesome fucking metal, and it was really an honor for me to even have these guys involved and, you know, working with Katen and fucking talking shit with Jimmy Cavs. And playing with his brother. Playing with my brother and now this other new brother here, Mike fucking Vega, you know, and we're just here to kick some ass and drink some beer and motherfuckers get ready because Hyrax ain't done yet. That's right. Can I say this? Seriously, back to the musicians, though, it was an honor. It really was. Like, it wasn't like... It wasn't a typical thing. I got to call guys that I respect. I really respect Ron. I respect Rocky George. I respect Jim Durkin, you know, so to have those guys be cool and come in and just drink beer and lay down solos like... Old school, man. Old school. We had Budweiser, which most people complain about that beer, but I love that shit. And we just had Budweiser, Taco Bell, and KFC. That's all we had. And these guys just came in and killed it and that's how it worked. It was cool. All right. Well, listen, Juan Garcia, I want to thank you for being on the very Manitoba cast. Yeah, I want to thank you, Jimmy. You know what? What else are you plugging, my friend, aside from being part of the Borderlands? Well, let's see. I've been working nonstop on this Agent Steel Masters of Metal record on the last song mix, and we hope to have it out sometime this year. And I'm looking forward to doing some shows of Body Count. Come up in April in Arizona and some other unannounced shows that are going to be announced. And just doing that right now. That's about it, really. All right, man. Well, you know what? When you get the Masters of Metal, Agent Steel, look at Kane. We both have opinions on that. Agent Steel is what's perverse. When you get Agent Steel slash Masters of Metal, that release, I would love to have you on here on this show, man. I'd love to have you and Bernie on it. And Juan, much respect to you, man. You fucking awesome. You know what? Yeah, let's give a hand. Juan Garcia is the shit, man. God damn it, Juan! Juan Garcia! Juan, on the very man of Jimmy Capshaw, we fucking love you here. Hell yeah! Yeah! You're a can of whoop-ass! One Viking to another. You kick-ass. I wish I could have made it, man. Yeah, if you guys would have gave me a heads up that you guys were doing this today, I would have came down there, but I had some plans. You're welcome anytime here, man. Cool, man. I'm glad I could at least call in and talk shit with you guys. Juan, we'll see you soon, brother. Thanks for everything. We'll see you soon. You owned it, man. All right. Hail to the metal. Take care, brother. All right, make sure you look for Juan Garcia. He's playing with Body Count. Also, Masters of Metal, and of course, any of you, you guys all know. We're off the air. I like that. That was real shit. That was on-air shit. All right, here's the deal. Real quick, because we've got to wrap it up. Hyrax, Immortal Legacy. Are we getting kicked out of here? Yeah, we're getting kicked out of here. Three, it's like three. It's just like home. It keeps going down. It was 310. No, it just doesn't matter. How can people get the record? All right, the record, obviously, I like Google. You can Yahoo it. Nuclear Blast. You can Yahoo it. SPV. You can dogpile it. You can Google it, whatever. You can Twitter it. You can Twitter it, but Hyrax, Immortal Legacy, new album. It's available now. Steam Hammer, SPV Records, Nuclear Blast, Century Media, all those, you know, Metal Blade, whoever carries metal, they should have it. If there's a record store by your house, go in there and scream and rant and give about it and say, hey, get it in stock. We appreciate everybody's support. Mike, our new drummer, Vega, Steve Harrison, bass guitar, Lance Harrison, lead guitarist, and me, Katen, on vocals. Appreciate everybody's support, yours included. Thank you, Skid Row Studios and Mr. Jimmy Cabs. Here's the deal. And everybody back here over here in this glass window. I've been a Hyrax fan for over 30 years. Over 30 years. You're an old fucker. You are fucking really old. What are you trying to say, that fucking, that Rite Aid moisturizer? You just like to fuck old chicks. You know what's great, though? I like when you come in here because the headphones don't work, so you look like a tweaker trying to readjust them so they'll work. So, if we look like twitters, it's because our headsets don't work. But it's better than that other station we're at, right? Yeah, yeah, right. Anyways, let me get back to the whole thing. Over 30 years being a Hyrax fan, this is indeed one of the pivotal records because it captures the old school Hyrax essence. But it really brings a true aggression and true brutality. And also, there's a really true unification. And in other words, I know that none of you guys are going anywhere. Well, until Steve yells at us. Because then we all run. When Steve starts getting mad, we all just leave. But yeah, we're gonna be around for a while. Well, here's the deal. This is really one of your best works. I congratulate you. Immortal Legacy. Make sure you pick it up on SPV, Steampunk Records. Hey, did I say one last thing? Absolutely. When you lower your voice, it's really sexy. It is kinda sexy, Jimmy. It's fucking hot. I mean, it is. I can see why you slayed those cougars. I mean, I'm not even into dudes, but when you talk like that, it makes me question things. Wow, Jimmy. I start thinking. Wow. You know how sometimes you're on the fence about it? You're like, maybe, maybe it's, I don't know. He just sabotaged that fucking thing. If you had a darker tan, I'd probably be into it. I just get a chubby. Get the new Hyrax Immortal Legacy record. You'll be playing soon sometime in Los Angeles. Yeah. We're gonna do the House of Blues. We just don't know the date yet. We're gonna go into the House of Blues, punch them in the nuts, kick them in the balls. With the big chubby, we're gonna have a chubby and some ball coins. And we're gonna order everything by bitcoins. Ball coins. Ball coins. Ball coins you're gonna catch on, not bitcoins. Alright, so you guys kicking us off the air now? We're done. We're outta here. I like being kicked off the air. Hyrax Immortal Legacy, make sure you pick it up. It's a great fucking record. Can I say one last thing? Sure. Anybody who doesn't like metal can suck it. Suck it. Suck it. Right on. God bless. Lord have mercy. James Brown, ACDC. All hail Mom's Got. I wanna thank you all for listening. All be well. See ya. Later! Suck it!
