Intro Music Man lives in the sunlit world of what he believes to be reality. Intro Music But there is unseen by most an underworld. A place that is just as real but not as brightly lit. A dark side. Intro Music The following contains images of graphic violence. Viewer discretion. is advised. We want to continue following our breaking news at this hour. 20 students have been injured in a high school stabbing in suburban Pittsburgh. It happened this morning at Franklin Regional High School in Murraysville, Pennsylvania. That's about 15 miles east of downtown Pittsburgh. Here's what we know so far. 20 students have been hurt. Four of them have been flown to various hospitals. Investigators tell us a suspect is in custody. That suspect is a student. That suspect is male. Intro Music I'm on command. I got my whole shift coming your way. Let's go. Intro Music Okay, come in the front door to the first floor. We're on the right, halfway down. We've got multiple victims here. We need ambulances here as soon as possible. We advise the suspect is in custody. Only one suspect. Intro Music So that's why I'm so fucking angry. Because I don't have any friends. Shut up, man. Fucking just chill out. Okay? Just fucking take a pill, man. What the fuck is with you people? You know why they didn't kill me? Because I don't have any friends. Intro Music Shut up, man. Fucking just chill out. Okay? Let's fucking take a pill, man. What the fuck is with you people? You know why do you have to be so goddamn violent all the time? Intro Music I want to ask you, the man I'm dealing with today, he's not the one I want to kill. But if he want to kill me, the life I want to survive, I want to fuck the fuck out of the house. Intro Music I want to ask you, the man I want to kill, I want to fuck the fuck out of the house. Intro Music Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Bundy claims states' rights, saying his cattle have grazed here for decades. I have no contract with the United States government. I'm paying grazing fees for management. That's what BLM was supposed to be, is land managers. And they were managing my ranch out of business, so I refuse to pay. The bad blood has sparked a roadside protest movement that is growing by day and night, with people from well beyond Nevada driving for hours to join in. Bonding by campfires, they say they're fighting for something way bigger than cows. It's about the freedom of America. We the people, we have to stand up. We have to stand up and fight. We the people, we have to stand up and fight, man. You know what? It was funny when this was going on. There was, like I mentioned before, hundreds of people coming from all over the United States to support this guy who literally was being besieged by federal snipers and marksmen and SWATs and God knows what else, man. It's pretty heavy, man. And here's another historical reference that I can parallel. In 1960, there was the first black student that enrolled in the University of Mississippi. His name is James Baldwin, I think. He's still alive. And so, of course, the old whitey were very upset. And so, they called in the National Guard. Oh, Jesus. And for the first time since the Civil War, there was a war between the states and the United States government. And, I mean, it only lasted about three days, but there were people coming in from all over the South to come and defend Ole Miss. So, this is not new. This is nothing new in modern America. Was he the first black? Did you say he was the first black student there? Yep. You know, I have heard of this. You know what? What has not been... What has not been recorded in history? What was his first comments when he arrived there? You don't know that? Really? I'm surprised. Hey, where are the white women at? Where are the white women at, man? Oh, that's rough, man. All right. Well, what's interesting is, you know, I'm not really too knowledgeable as far as what his gripe is, but the fact that the government just comes on in and, you know, this... The only reason why they backed off is because, obviously, what didn't happen in Ruby Ridge... Yeah. ...and at Waco was the fact that people didn't get involved. This time around, people were getting involved, and they were showing up with arms. Yeah. They weren't fucking around. They weren't fucking around. They were like, okay, you guys are going to fucking have snipers? Guess what? So are we. And, you know, right now, the situation, the standoff has been put to ease. Hopefully, this thing will be resolved in a court of law, but just the fact that the government does that is frightening. During the week, I was also talking about that. I don't know. Are you aware of this? That... Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. minting microchips whatever dude i mean have you seen have you i mean it's it's one of those like whatever things but have you seen how they're no i just they're trying to sell it as far as like that's a form of identification and dude it's like uh that movie gattaca it's really coming it's coming now you know it's frightening uh that move gattaca and um oh fuck uh the mike judge movie jesus christ well the point is this idiocracy thank you that's the one that's at both those movies are coming into play it's happening it's happening now it's happening and then we're still living in a sedated society where people are just like oh whatever it's not affecting us and you know what that's what uh 1930s in the german in germany that doesn't affect me so what yeah we'll get over this yeah all right friday i went to motorhead uh this is i want to first of all thank everybody who sent best wishes on friday i went to motorhead talk about being killed by death all right jeremy can you play the kill by death tune please all of a sudden jenny's a fucking top fucking notch employee all right friday i went to motorhead i didn't get killed by death i almost got killed by valium never mixed valium with booze i won't go into details as to why i was doing that that's not a but i'm gonna also say this uh as you know these last motorhead shows are very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very oh i don't want to say last i don't want to jinx the guy but it's very important to attend these motorhead shows because you just never you never know i mean again lemmy has been doing this thing for the past 40 plus years the tank's gonna run out you gotta appreciate any opportunity you can to see them but here's the deal too if you're like under the age of 25 and you're all fucked up and you're like reliving this whole like metal craze and i get it you're excited and you know and you're doing the whole like leonard skinner fucking whiskey chugging because you think it's cool wait till you get to be my age and you know you start suffering all the side effects of that and you see a middle-aged man who's fucked up and not looking good and he's you know trying to fucking not mind his business who also carries like a fucking hidden blade in his belt buckle don't fuck with him let him rock out man yeah so yeah it's very simple math the valium didn't work unfortunately don't mix valium with alcohol all right why don't we get to show motorhead motorhead was great by the way but it's funny because one thing that annoyed the fuck out of me is they bring out slash to do to perform like right dates of spades and overkill i'm sitting there no one should be on that stage except his son or fast eddie clark why is this guy up there like how did this guy become an icon everybody's hooting hollering what a great fuck i can give a fuck about slash fuck all that shit yeah all right let's get the show started before i have a heart attack literally jester we got some songs to play hit it so get it back to you get it back to you oh oh oh! All right. If that wasn't sick and heavy and massively dark and depressing, I don't know what is. Lost Johnny, what did we hear? Some dark, heavy, depressing shit. That's what we heard. No, no, we played some songs. We started the set with Motorhead, you know, you love it. Overkill, do I have to spell it out for you? I shouldn't have to. And if I do, you're fired. After that, we heard Lord Mantis, the song Body Choke from the record Death Mask. I sense a theme here. Yeah, I got to tell you, man. I thought Motorhead was exceptional. Scott Peterson is here right next to me from Cryptic Slaughter. How are you doing there, Scott? I'm good. How about yourself? Pretty good. I didn't see you at Motorhead. You were upstairs. I was downstairs. No, I was physically upstairs. Mentally, I was not there. I had an overdose on Valorant. I didn't feel the value, man. I popped so much Valium. I didn't feel it at first. Oh. And I'm not a pill popper. The reason why I popped it is because it was like a scenario that came up where I was like, oh, fuck, I might either snap or I don't want to have my night ruined. So I said, you know, I'll just pop a couple Valium and I'll look the fuck out, right? Big mistake. And so I didn't feel anything. I popped some more. I didn't feel anything. I took a shot. I didn't feel nothing. Mike, you were there, right? Was I cool? I was cool. I mean, I'm like, what? What am I supposed to feel? I still. You're supposed to be very. Yeah, I'm like, I don't feel mellow. You're never mellow. Popped some more. And then saw the motorhead. I wanted to kill the guy. Did you see that guy next to me? That fucking kid. I wanted to. I mean, I carry a belt buckle blade. So, I mean, LAPD screening don't work, you know? And I'm like looking at this guy like, stay the fuck. His head banging in my face. He's fucking grabbing me by the neck. He's like, I'm like, dude, don't touch me. I'm on. I'm on. Massive amounts of value. And I want to kill this guy. So, I figured, you know what? This shit didn't work. And on the way home. Right, Mike? Did I? Why don't you get on the mic? Why don't you get on the mic there and try to fucking say something? You did snap. So, the moral of the story is. How eloquent as always, Mike. Yeah. He did snap. The moral of the story is. The moral of the story is, is don't have Slash go up and fucking perform like that. That's what sets you off, right? That's what set me off. I'm sitting there going. Why is this asshole up there? Why is. Okay. Granted, I'm from a different generation. Whatever. I mean, I threw. I mean, you remember the street scenes. Yes. I threw bottles at this guy in 1985. Like, why is he up there performing with Lemmy? Why is it Fast Eddie Clark? Or bring Lemmy's son out again. Like, I'm cool with that. I don't know. Maybe Lemmy wanted him. And if Lemmy wants it, so be it. Yeah. He is God. You. If, you know, if Lemmy said, Jimmy, come up on stage and sing. Even though you can't sing to save your life. You would do it. Yeah. Well, you know what, Scott? That's why. You are such a wonderful guy. And that's why I'm a fucking asshole. The one thing that we have a lot in common here is that we both know good music. As you know, there's a band that's in town from Richmond, Virginia called Occultus. I had the, what I would say, the pleasure of discovering this band. I'd say what? Over a year ago, Jim? Yeah, over a year ago. Let me first welcome Occultus. Thanks for being here. What's really awesome about this is this is the first time that you guys are in Los Angeles, correct? This is the first time you've ever performed here? First time. Wow. What a fucking, what a show, dude. Yeah. Are you guys aware that tonight that the sunset, I should pop Valium for that fucking thing. Just get in. I should fucking pop something. Slow down. Are you aware that at the Rainbow, which is a fucking, I guess, world-renowned bar here in West Hollywood. I mean, you know. It's world famous. Underground guys don't give a fuck about that. We didn't get laid there in the 80s. We're not going to get laid now. But they're celebrating. They're being like their fucking thing. And you guys are playing right next door. And this is what's awesome. The weapons of mass destruction, which is amazing because the sunset strip will be annihilated. Listen to this, children. Ghoul, Iron Reagan, Occultus, Witch Haven, which is our local Dirty Boys here. They're going to be performing right next door to the Rainbow, which is what? What is it? What is it, Mike? Bullet Boys and. Great White. Great White. Jack Russell's Great White. Minimal Fireworks. I think Bullet Boy is only the singer. Who cares? Why aren't those guys repping dead? But anyways, welcome to Los Angeles. How do you feel about playing the West Coast? I feel pretty good about it. You know, it's our first time out here. And we're very lucky that Ghoul has decided to allow us to tag along. Great guys. And also Iron Reagan. Yeah, they're great people. And this is our second time touring with Ghoul. The first time was on the East Coast a little less than two years ago. So, yeah, we're very excited about it. And, yeah, we're just going to, you know, get out there and do it. Why has it taken? Why has it taken this long for you guys to come out here to the West Coast? Is it finances? Finances, coordinating schedules, you know, family stuff, personal stuff. My work schedule definitely hasn't helped touring with other bands. A little bit. Everything. Okay. A little bit of lineup changes, too. And lineup changes, yeah. We're powering through everything. So you guys are literally dealing with what I guess I would say are the growing pains of the band? Absolutely. Absolutely. How has the tour been and what has been the response so far? It's been gangbusters every night. Even like the, you know, especially since we hooked up with Ghoul, you know, and Tempe. And then on, every night's been amazing. But even all the stuff from like when we started with just Iron Regan. Even of all places, Little Rock, Arkansas on a Sunday, you know. Oh, wow. Fucking pizza joint slash punk rock club. It was still good. You know, it was like, you know, it was a lot of fun. Everyone's like. You got a pretty mouth, boy. Yeah. For everyone, though. For like us and Iron Regan and Ghoul. Like, there's all been great, great fucking responses every night. The kids have been going nuts. And, you know, because I'm always just like, man, if you guys like us, I don't know about that. But, yeah, all the kids seem to like it. So it's been great. It's been a really awesome experience. You know, for those of you that are not familiar with Occultus, it was very interesting. I stumbled upon your demo and I contacted you and I told you how awesome I thought it was. And then you released an LP. Why don't you talk to us about that? Yeah. We released. We released an LP called Death Sigils on Primitive Ways Records, which is a label based out of North Carolina. And, yeah, we went in and recorded that after we recorded Hell By Our Hands at Slave Pit Studios, which is the dudes from GWAR run that studio. Wow. How are you dealing with that? I mean, that death right there alone is just tragic. It comes in waves. Dave was a personal friend of mine and a personal friend to the band. And he was a big supporter of us. And, yeah, you know, it comes in waves is the only way I could put it. So it's still very fresh, obviously. Are you somewhat amazed at the fact that, you know, when you're dealing with a person of that caliber and how influential he was and not only just the fact that he was a decent human being, he was a great fucking guy, great sense of humor. But the fact that when someone of that caliber passes, how he's never recognized until they're gone. That guy was an innovator. You know, he was truly a true musician. He was. He was a great entertainer. Maybe the mainstream didn't understand it. But in the end, he was an entertainer. He was a true entertainer, man. He was a great agitator. And he spoke the truth. That's what I really liked. Did any of, like, his philosophies or the way he thought influenced you guys? Because you guys tend to have, like, your own, like, rebelliousness, but, like, in an independent way. When people ask me, what does a cultist sound like? I'm baffled. And that's a good thing, though. I think that's a good thing. Because, I mean, you incorporate. Correct me if I'm wrong, please. But I say you incorporate, like, the raw punk element. Then you have, like, this super, like, grind element. And then it's just nice and raunchy and apocalyptic. I mean, it's all over the place. But what I really like is your vocalist. Talk to me about your vocalist. Do you get compared a lot to, like, the 80s Sacrilege from England? All the time. Yeah. Why is that? I mean, I'll take it because we all love Sacrilege. I started lying. And Carrie completely is okay with that, too. But, you know, I think Carrie's vocals are very different than the young lady from Sacrilege. Sacrilege. Way different. You know, but, you know, Sacrilege, when they were doing their thing, I mean, it was like they were combining the elements of the raw punk. I don't even think it was called cross-punk back then. But, like, the early D-beat stuff and then elements of thrash. And they were put in together in their own way. And I think they wrote pretty interesting songs that had their own kind of atmosphere at times. And maybe that's where people find the similarity, I guess. But, you know, it's much better to be compared to them than to, let's say, other female front of bands that I think are, you know, not a good comparison. Yeah, man. One of the things that I like, Scott, feel free to jump in here, is the fact that when you listen to Occultist, I'm actually looking forward to seeing you perform today because this is the first... Have you never seen them play before? Never. You have, correct? I have. I was lucky to witness it when I was on tour with Vermaak. And, you know, Nunslaughter played. Fucking killed it. You know, we played. But Occultist, honestly, you guys fucking, they tore the fucking place apart. And their singer is like, she just, you have to see it. I can't even put it into words. Like, how much of an awesome front person that she is. Because she's not a woman. She's not a man. She's just a front person. Yeah. She fucking just takes over the stage and dominates. And then you got the rest of these guys fucking going ape shit. If you do not like Occultist and you don't like good music, you have no life and you just basically suck. Yeah, yeah. Oh, thanks, guys. Why don't you go see what we're talking about tonight? The Roxy. The poor kids are fucking waging war on the Sunset Strip. And hopefully, fucking, hope the fucking rainbow gets annihilated. The weapons. Of mosh destruction. Ghoul, Iron Reagan, Occultist, Witch Haven. Well, this must be interesting because some of these bands like Ghoul and Iron Reagan, they really cater to like the young crowd. How are you dealing with that? Because it's like fucking ants on a picnic, bro. I'll tell you, last night was the first night that we played in front of a really young crowd. And it was amazing. That place was great. It was full of young kids. It was kind of, it was this place called Rock City Studios in Camarillo. And it's kind of like a rehearsal spot. Yeah, yeah. Rehearsal spot. And it's a place where kids can come take lessons. And they do shows. And it was great. It was packed. And the kids were just having a ball. So it was really fun. I like it. It's neat to see younger kids coming out. Do all, I mean, because you're all, I mean, Scott, you too. Do all you enjoy seeing the youth not only come out, but like, you know, fucking OD on their adrenaline and be. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Because when they're doing it next to me and I'm just like trying to watch a show, I feel like fucking choking somebody. But I mean, but I respect it. Well, that's why we got to stand back and give them their space. I mean, I used to go ape shit in the pit. And, you know, nowadays I just stand to the back. That's my place at the show these days. I'm at the bar. Go ahead. Go ahead and have it, kids. Go crazy. The thing is, though, like also especially like, you know, whether you're playing at the time or just at the show or whatever, to me it's energizing to see like young kids that are still like really into this and lots of them. Like it's like sometimes. So you're not like smear from destruction, whining and crying. Don't step on the court. Yeah, it's kind of one of those things where it's like, you know, sometimes, you know, it's easy to be like, I don't know if I want to do this anymore. I'm just a grumpy motherfucker, you know. But when you see that, you know, it reaffirms why you're doing it. It's rejuvenating too, right? Yes, absolutely. You know, it's like, you know, the love of music and like seeing like young kids love it that much and like coming out in droves, it's awesome. It definitely keeps the momentum here going. Seeing kids that haven't had the weight of life upon them yet, you know, they're really enjoying it. Yeah. It's nice. It's a nice thing, you know. So, you know. And plus also they're listening to good bands. And I'd rather see the kids get into this kind of music than fucking One Direction or whatever that rest of that garbage is. There's a lot of garbage out there. I can tell you about that. Yeah, I know. But, you know. Maybe not. I'm going to get you in trouble there. I think, you remember when we were young, we were, you know, at Hoover Hall and Fender's Ballroom going fucking crazy. And, you know, and it's good to see the kids that they have an outlet to do that. And it's good that they're supporting good bands like Occultist School and Iron Reggae. Yeah, I guess if you really want to look at it, it's better that they fucking go crazy at your show than go stabbing fucking like all kinds of kids at high school, you know. And one thing about Iron Reggae I want to add, because you mentioned a previous time we interviewed, about kind of a young crowd. And I guess maybe a young crowd is what they draw out here. But, you know, on the East Coast, even back in our hometown, I mean, they mostly bring it. It's mostly old heads. There's some young people. Really? Yeah. It's a lot of the old punks, you know, the Richmond punk rockers and people that kind of built the scene there. I mean, that's a lot of that crowd that comes out to see them, you know. Oh, right on. That's good, man. Well, those guys are alumni of so many good bands that really help things, you know, help keep things rolling in that area. You know, so everybody comes and, you know, enjoys it. It seems that in that geographical part of the United States. There seems to be like a real sincerity, real kind of integrity when it comes to the underground scene there. Not to, you know, say anything bad about Los Angeles, but like it seems like it's real close knit and real supportive. Am I right on that? Absolutely. Absolutely. Wow. Yeah. That must be nice, man. Talk to us. I'm sorry. Go ahead. It must be. I don't know. It must be something in the water because, like, I don't know what it is, like, but just that area, man. It's like James River. Yeah. Well, I don't know, man. Aren't they like drilling for natural gas and you're part of the fucking question? I heard that water was like toxic over there. My friend got dysentery from the river, so maybe that's what it is. I don't know. You know, maybe that's it also. We're all just tempered in raw shit, you know what I mean? So that's just, it makes us stronger. Nothing changes you. Nothing changes you. Yeah, exactly. Forged in raw shit. Talk to me about this EP, man. This is interesting. Talk to me about this EP that's coming out. Yeah, we got an EP coming out. We got a couple of names we're throwing around for it. Nothing solidified. It's going to be four songs and we're pretty excited about it. We're going to premiere one of the songs tonight. It's going to be the last song. Nice. It's called Transfixed at the Precipice and we'll be playing that. And yeah, we're just going to keep that. We're going to make that kind of a bridge between the next full length, which we're going to get to work on as soon as possible. So, and just try to keep riding the wave until, you know, it kills us or we fall off. Well, let's not say that at all. Literally. All right. The Weapons of Mast Destruction featuring Occultist. First time in Los Angeles. For those of you that are listening, make sure you get out to this show. This is going to be a phenomenal show. Witch Haven, Iron Reagan. In gold, please. Well, Shawnee, do we even have to say anything? No. It's really pointless. If you're not there, then you should be ashamed of yourself. You're fucking lame. Chester, why don't you start off the set there with some good tunes. Let's hear some fucking shit. Hit it. You are about to enter another dimension. A dimension not only of sight and sound, but of mind. A journey into a wondrous land of imagination. We'll be right back. We'll be right back. We'll be right back. We'll be right back. We'll be right back. We'll be right back. We'll be right back. We'll be right back. We'll be right back. We'll be right back. We'll be right back. We'll be right back. We'll be right back. We'll be right back. We'll be right back. We'll be right back. We'll be right back. We'll be right back. This is what we want, we accept for reality Modernist that believe in the power of currency And say Part of the principle Under your eyes and say Part of the principle Under your eyes and say Part of the principle Under your eyes and say Part of the principle Under your eyes and say from the record of the same name. After that, we heard Ghoul, Americanized, not to be confused with the Gwar song, but still cool in itself. From the record Intermediate Level, after that, we heard Iron Reg and Many Lights from the split 12-inch. And after that, we ended our sets with Witch Haven, Products of Imprisonment with their own, from their own 7-inch. What do all these bands have in common? We're going to be seeing them tonight, and they're going to be slaying the fuck out of the stage at the Roxy. Game on, bitches. Yeah, man, this is the weapons of Moss destruction. This is going on at the Roxy. This, as we just mentioned, Ghoul, Iron Reg, Occultist, and Witch Haven playing right next door to the Rainbow with that whole other fucking shit there. So it's going to be insane. It's going to be surreal to know that Ghoul is going to be doing their thing next to the dude from the Bullet Boys. It's only the singer from the Bullet Boys. Only the singer, but I think that's all we need. That's all I can handle. I can't wait to see Ghoul try to fucking dismember that guy. That'd be great. That'd be fucking awesome. That'd be awesome. It really does bother you that that's next door, doesn't it? Dude, I don't know about... I mean, well, you were like a popular dude in the 80s. You were getting laid. You were riding that cryptic slaughtered pussy wagon. I mean... Where was this wagon? Because I would love to have known where it was. Oh, come on, dude. I mean, I know now you found your significant other, but at that time, you know that you were getting some fucking pussy. But the rest of us, we weren't. Bullet Boy guys? Oh, please. They were getting... Well, they were getting quality pussy. I was probably just getting the bottom of the barrel at that time. I don't know. I've got to say that cryptic slaughtered pussy wagon is just like that string of words. That's a new name. That's a new... That's just a... That's a marriage of words right there. I say we start a cover band of cryptic slaughter songs, and we call it cryptic slaughtered pussy wagon. Yeah. Modern day poet over here. Yeah. More ozone depleting hairspray could be involved. This is true. Oh, man. That's funny. So, as we mentioned, you guys are playing tonight. Will you guys be returning, or are you planning to be returning to the West Coast anytime soon? As soon as possible. Yes. Yeah. Hopefully, maybe the fall. We're going to try. All right. We'll see what we can do. That'd be nice, man. And again, when is this EP coming out? There's no release date yet, but we're trying to get it cranked out as soon as possible. So, yeah, we've got to figure that out. But in the meantime, they could pick up? They could pick up the split 7-inch that we have on our record store today coming out. It's an exclusive split with Noisem. Oh, sick. Ooh. Yeah. They're doing a Repulsion cover, and we're doing a Plasmatics cover. Oh, no way. Wow. Yeah. We're covering The Damned by Plasmatics. Great song. Have you heard their Discharge cover they do? No, I haven't. Oh, yeah. I forgot about that. That was on Cult Nation. Yeah. Cult Nation did an exclusive tribute to Discharge, and we covered a song. And, yeah, so it's downloadable. Yeah. It's called The End. It's the whole, yes, hear nothing, see nothing, say nothing album. Yeah. It's a bunch of different bands, like bands, I guess, at our level or whatever that are just kind of not. Yeah. As big, but like everyone doing a different song or whatever. And it's like every song turned out amazing on it. It's really good. Raw metal punk freaks doing their fucking tribute to Discharge. I got to check that out, man. I got to definitely check it out. What I'm really looking forward to is seeing your vocalist perform tonight, because aside from her being extremely beautiful, she's sick as fuck, bro. She's sick. I've seen the videos. Something I wanted to mention earlier, by the way, I don't know, this is like a weird little factoid or whatever that maybe it doesn't matter, but this is her first band ever. Yes. This is her first band. She's never been in a band before. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. When our original sitting her quit, you know, like we were kind of batting around ideas and I was actually a roommate with her at the time. And I was like, I know she's like trying to like do some, some stuff for musically. She's been tooling around with some other guys, but it's not really anything serious. I was like, why don't we try her out? And she just came in there and just fucking killed it. Yeah. She does a great job. And when you listen, when you listen to that record or that demo. That demo pretty much, by the way, all pretty much first takes of her vocals. Even on the record. Yeah. Like she went in there and just fucking done. Yeah. She was done in like no time. Fastest person. Yeah. The engineer actually who worked with a lot of bigger metal bands and stuff. He's like, he's probably, she's probably the fastest vocalist he's ever worked with. Wow. Wow. Yeah. Yeah. I guess we should mention her name since we're talking about it. On our records, there's no vocal doubling. That's her. Yeah. That's her single track takes. Wow. That's good, man. Wait till you see it live tonight, Jimmy. Looking forward to it. What time are you guys playing tonight? That's a good question. I got to double check that in my itinerary. Poor kids. Why don't you text me? I didn't know. I didn't get it. I didn't get it. I wish I didn't get that sent over to me yet. I got everything except for that sent to me. So I'm just waiting to get it sent to me. Whoops. So. Oh boy. I know we're playing a third. Salvadorans. Completely useless. Mike. I know we're playing a third to Les. Mike has the grace of an elephant behind me. Yes. Well, I want to thank you guys for being here, man. We're going to bring in the ghoul guys. But again, I got to mention this. It's one of the things that I enjoy the most when I discover a really good band that is true and real and that really brings it. And especially, not only do they bring it, but they bring it with class, man. I think you guys are fucking great. You guys are fucking great, guys. Jim, you and I, you know, I'd like to say we're friends. Absolutely. And that's why I'm hoping you can spread the word to your part of the country and say, fuck Jimmy Cabs. Fuck Jimmy Cabs. Fuck Jimmy Cabs. I just gave you the genuine. By the way, this is a very limited club. I hope you appreciate that shit. Very few people have this. You know what I mean? Oh, by the way, just, you know, tonight, just sell your Valium. Don't fucking, you know. I learned my lesson. You might see me choke a 15-year-old or something. Well, you know. What, you got a date? Oh, wow. Fucking guy. I'll be here. I'll be here for the regular baiting. All right. Let's bring in the Ghoul guys. I believe they're out there. Ghoul is going to be performing tonight. This is at the Weapons of Monstrous Destruction, as we mentioned. They're going to be playing with Iron Reagan and Cultist in Witch Haven. This is going on at the Roxy. There's really, Lost Johnny, there's really nothing to say about Ghoul other than it is true fucking. It's fucking mayhem. It's mayhem, man. It really is. In the best possible manner. I mean. We've seen them a couple of times and never disappointed. Ever disappointed. I get in the pit. I stage dive. Jimmy! That's how much. Oh! Look at that. Is this my big Hollywood break? Jimmy Cavs can't die without seeing the creeps. How are you? You're definitely going to die. All right. I should see you guys again. Look at my face. Where's the producer? I thought this was a movie audition. You're hoping you get the casting couch. Yeah, we want to get. Why do you think we come out here? We're looking for connections, man. We need to get in when the Steven Spielbergians and the J.J. Abramses. Where's he? Michael Bayes. I want lens flare. More lens flare for Ghoul. Get this guy an agent now. Let me first welcome the creeps from Creeps of... The mutants of... No, no. We're just creeps. It's just fun to see you fucking guys. The last time you guys were... Ten fingers, ten toes. I'm okay. A miracle in itself. Welcome back to the very Mad at Jimmy Cavs show. How do you feel about playing this show tonight? It's great. I'm excited to play with the Bullet Boys. And, uh, what? Is it white? Take a night off from this occultist stuff. Yeah, we're going to have a really good time at the Rainbow Room tonight. Oh, man. They don't know this, but we know this. Are you aware that you're going to be playing with the Bullet Boys? I'm not. I'm not. I'm not. I'm not. I'm not. I'm not. I'm not. I'm not. But, your band, and your fan base, has become, not only, what I would say, fanatical, but dude, there's, there's, like, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, but like for the underground. Are you aware of that with all these fucking crazy kids that follow you everywhere? Who are the Beatles? First question, what is Beatlemania? I think the fans are responding to our cute bowl haircuts that we have. I don't know how they're under the hoods, but yeah, we're pretty attractive. I've seen, I've heard many of my posters on our 14-year-old girl's wall. You know, it gets hard because we're playing and you can't hear our guitars overalls screaming. This is a problem that we have just these girls going, we got to get louder amps. The boys do it too, to be fair. I think it's actually mostly boys. It's all boys. All 15-year-old boys. All on their way to the Mormon Tavern of Knuckles Choir. What do you enjoy most about playing to like the ghoul audience? What do you enjoy most? Because it seems like it's just pure pandemonium. We've never played to another audience, Jimmy. We have nothing to compare it to. So I guess it's with nothing to compare. It's pretty good. We should try playing for like, I don't know, a Rolling Stones audience. That would be something. That would be a lot of people. That would be different. Do you see yourselves possibly playing to a wider audience like that? I think that'd be great. Look at us. Are you kidding me? More than you even. We have a faith for radio. Oh, man. He has a hatchet in his hand. How could he not be prepared to play anything less than with the Beatles or anything? He needs to be playing with the Beatles. I'm really angling for some Juggalo fans with this hatchet. I hear they make a lot of money. It's very subtle, Creep. I mean, I've got the plywood hatchet. I obviously need some more money. I can't even afford real metal. This sucks. Oh, man. All right. Ghoul is going to be performing today. Ghoul is going to be performing today. Oh, Jesus. This is fucking great. This is the best fucking medicine ever. Ghoul is performing tonight. The weapons of mass destruction. This is going on at the Roxy. This is brought to you by the poor kids. As you know, the poor kids, they're no longer going to be poor after this. Make sure you see Ghoul, Iron Rake, and the Cultures. Witch Haven. They are literally launching a fucking attack on the Sunset Strip and the Roxy. Let's listen to some. Now, hit it. Quiet, numbskulls. I'm broadcasting. Alibis. Rise. Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo We'll be right back. You're in a privileged position to learn a thing or two. You're in a privileged position to learn a thing or two. You're in a privileged position to learn a thing or two. You're in a privileged position to learn a thing or two. You're in a privileged position to learn a thing or two. You're in a privileged position to learn a thing or two. Lost Johnny. What did we hear there? Oh, man. We heard our guests, Ghoul minus the Hatchet, but they play their hatchets through amplifiers. Midnight Ride of the Cannibals from their record Hang Ten. After that, we had another song from Hang Ten, Krieg. After that, we heard Occultist Iron Distort from their record Death Sigils. After that, we heard Noothgrush. Haven't heard that band in a while. Always awesome to hear them. Humandemic from their Split with Coffins, which is the song we played after that. Drown in Revelation. Damn, this shit is real. I cannot. Wait. What's going to come out of the mouth of Ghoul next? All right. Here's the deal. Ghoul is playing tonight along with... That was it. I wasn't disappointed. Ghoul is playing along with Occultist and Iron Reagan and Witch Haven. This is the weapons of mosh destruction. They are launching a war on the Sunset Strip and all those fucking posers. We couldn't have picked a better spot to focus our energy on. Right next to the rainbow. It's like poser fest tonight. Great white. Are you kidding me? Bullet boy. You don't even need the bomb. In this room, all we have to do is light the match and all the air will just explode. Are you excited to be performing next to these aging, decrepit 80s fucking poser rockstar fuckers? Pretty sure that some of them are going to drop dead tonight. They will be at the feast on their corpses. Is there a certain aging rockstar that you'd like to fucking, you know... If you can get your hands on one in particular, who would it be? Leta Ford. She's actually looking pretty good. Unfortunately, she won't be here, but Betsy Bitch will be there. Are you familiar with Betsy Bitch? She still does... She's a classic. Wow, you really use classic with Betsy Bitch. Wow. Low hanging on her tits that you are saying. No, she looks... She looks phenomenal, man. She's so hot. She's still hot, man. But I like when she does the lollipop deep throwing thing. It just... You lose some of it, though, like when you realize how old she is. Yeah. We do that on stage, too, and nobody... Nobody likes it. But no one gets like an entire banana in it. It's incredible. It's such a double standard. All right. Do we have a caller on the line? Caller, you're on the line. Welcome to the very Maddie Jimmy Cap Show. Who's this? This is Papa Smoke. What's up? Oh, fuck. What's going on, Papa Smoke? What do you have to say to the Ghoul guys? Oh, man. Can't wait for tonight. Big shout out to Poor Kids Radio. Russ McKay puts out fucking some of the best fucking bands. Ghoul, Iron Reagan, Witch Haven. Fucking Henry kicks ass in that band. All right. You're on the guess list for sure, bro. No, I'm already in there. But I want to say, you know, these bands are what's really keeping the thrash fucking scene open. You know, most of the bands you see today, they're all whatever kids there. But no, this is where you'll see the real fucking mosh and the real pits, the fucking, the carnage. And, you know, rest in peace to Dave Brocky, you know, Guar. And Ghoul put on a great fucking show tonight. I know in honor of him. All right. This is not going to keep you from being decapitated at the show, you know. These things you're saying. The smoke up our asses, it feels good. How do you feel about playing a venue like the Roxy? Because the Roxy is considered here in Los Angeles. Especially in West Hollywood as like, you know. It's a legendary. It's going to be defiled by the legendary Ghoul. It's just another abattoir for our slaughters. It doesn't matter how you package it. You're going to die. All right. Let's talk about tank crimes. Brain Squeeze. This is going on April 18th through the 20th. This is in Oakland. Ghoul is going to be playing with Municipal Waste. Final Conflict. Oh, man. I saw the lineup for the show and I'm not happy that I'm not there. Yeah. You know what? For those of you that are venturing out to that, this is a must. For those of you that are there, you should definitely check this out. Municipal Waste. Final Conflict. Ghoul. Negative Approach. Cannabis Corpse. Fucked Up. Impaled. The Shrine. Goes on and on and on and on. This is happening at Oakland. The Oakland Metro. Make sure you get your tickets for this. Okay. We're going to a big secret reveal. We're doing a secret show. Now it's not so secret. A daytime show with a gold test. A daytime show. A daytime show. A daytime show. A daytime show. A daytime show. A daytime show. A daytime show. And we're going to play nothing but surf songs because we know that's what thrash fans want to hear. That's what our fans really want. They've told us time and time again, enough with the machine. I want to dance. Let's dance, motherfucker. I just want to relax at the ghoul show. We're doing a daytime show Saturday, April 19th in support of our EP, Hang Ten, that all surf, all times. Where? One, two, three, four, go records. That's right. That's right. In the show. In Oakland, California. Nice. All right, man. You got the big reveal, Jimmy Cabs. How do you like it? I'm sure your viewership is up by five. Unfortunately, you're probably correct, man. Five and a half. Are you going to be doing the legendary ghoul show in its entirety at the Roxy tonight with the fool? You mean, no, all the fire? That's next door. They're in the room. If you want less people, you can do it. People will probably die at our show. Oh. Is this an all-ages show tonight? I fucking hope so. I like to meet young and tender. The younger, the better. We could only play at Chuck E. Cheese's, we would. Oh, man. This is great. Cool. It's going to be performing. It's going to be performing tonight. Oh, my God. Fucking hell. I don't have a heart attack there. Ghoul is going to be performing tonight at the Roxy. This is going to be a fantastic show. This is brought to you by the poor kids, as Papa Smoke mentioned there. This is Weapons of Mouse Destruction. Ghoul, Iron Reagan, Occultist, and Witch Haven. I got to tell you, man, it's really interesting when I see you guys perform, the energy you guys put into it. What is it that you guys take, man? Drugs. Drugs. Methamphetamines. Drugs. Lots of drugs. You guys didn't subscribe to the 80s Nancy Ray thing? I mean, we don't even have a merch person or sound guy. We've got the drug dealer we take everywhere with us. Baron Sommedy, he provides us with the best shit. I think, man, we're going to try to get you all high with us tonight. Oh, yeah. Just stand towards the front, okay? Have you ever done bath salts? You're going to get close. The secondhand bath salts don't travel so far. We've got some crocodiles. We've got some crocodiles. We've got some crocodiles. We've got some crocodiles. We've got some crocodiles. We've got some crocodiles. It's going to be a flesh-ripping good time. Oh, that's great, man. Are you still there, Papa? I guess not. Did we get rid of that fucker or what? Oh, well. All right. All right. All right. So tonight, man, make sure you go check out Ghoul. Aside from this show and tank crimes, the brain squeeze, what else is going on with you guys? We've got great fucking personalities. What's going on? Not this is it. That's it. We tour. We go home. We eat human flesh. I was like, oh, I'm sorry. I'm writing a book. I can't even read, Jimmy. I can't even read. I'm crying. I'm crying right now. You've brought up my horrible, horrible secret. Nothing's going on. I lost Johnny. Why don't you take it for a minute? Jeez, man. I don't even know where to start, man. You just brought down a weird vibe, man. You pointed out the poor guys in literacy, man. What the fuck, man? That's right. First you caught a mutant. First you caught us mutants. Now you point out that I can't read. This is bullshit. I'm hurt. I'm hurt. I'm leaving. I'm leaving. No, no. I'm leaving. No, no, no. No, man. No, man. We got some more beer coming our way. Tell about your tassel. Tell about your tassel. More beer? More beer? I'm in. I'm in. Okay, we're good. No, we brought up an interesting side note about your tassels on your vest there. Could you, you know, despite your illiteracy. This is going to be great for the listeners, man. You really understand the radio, don't you? We all got handsome faces for it. If I could just describe the tassels on your vest. The tassels on my vest come from a World War I grave that I dug up. I think he was either Austro-Hungarian or a Serbian or something. He was a shit, but he was an officer, and now I wear his fucking vest. It looks pretty crusty, but crusty more like it's been in the ground for 80 years. Not crusty like Jim from Occultist. How do you feel, Jim, when you're performing in front of a ghoul crowd and then you know what you're dealing with? You better say scared. Very afraid. That was great. I could imagine, man. I could imagine. It must be fucking fun. All right, ghouls playing tonight, as we mentioned, the Roxy. This is the weapons of mass destruction. And then let's not forget. A timely reference, for sure. Yes. Yes. That's not a bad reference. That's a good reference. That's a good reference. That's a good reference. That's a good reference. That's a good reference. That's a good reference. That's a good reference. Let's not forget. The forefront of people. Okay. Crimes. The brain squeeze. That's going on 18th through the 20th in Oakland. Make sure you go see what I already know. The great performances of Ghoul Fucking A, man. Chester, why don't you play us a song there while we wait for our beverages? Hit it. Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo On the wind She is only a fool again Scream Die My dear, I see my hero combined Part of the world is a fucking ancient ghost Blood and the gold of the devil's creed Don't go to bed and I'll take it out on your head There's a place where the old souls can return Both of the devil and the fool And the best of all we know And we die in the fields We'll die and I will Come There's a curse The priest and the boy have been pulled We're the old souls born in line Ghosts and the fools come to touch the light There's a curse On the wind She is only a fool again Scream Die My dear, I see my hero combined The ghost and the fool come to touch the light My dear, I see my hero combined Die Die My dear, I see my hero combined The ghost and the fool come to touch the light Alright, I got a chance to speak with a great band from Melbourne, Australia. This is a band called King Parrot. They've been touring the United States predominantly for like about I would say about 30 days. They've been here for about a month. They're going to be playing here in Southern California on the 18th. They're at the satellite. This is an interview that I conducted with King Parrot. Hit it. Alright, this is Jimmy Cab's tape to broadcast. The very manic Jimmy Cab show. I have Matt Young of King Parrot. How you doing there, man? I'm good, thanks, Jimmy. How you doing, buddy? Pretty good, man. This is really interesting. King Parrot is a band from Melbourne, Australia that is touring, that has been touring the United States recently. How are you enjoying the 50 states, man? Yeah, good, man. We've been having a ball. It's been awesome. We started off in California down at the start of March. We've been to Texas and did South by Southwest, which was an awesome experience. Since then, man, we've just been hitting it pretty hard, playing most nights. Only had a couple of plays off here and there. It's been amazing, man. Really awesome experience. It was like a dream. I think the last couple of weeks, we've seen show attendants picking up a bit, just as a sort of word's getting out around America, about our show and stuff, which is really cool. This is really interesting because is this the first time you guys have been to America as King Parrot? It is, yeah, yeah. We're all guys that have played in bands in Australia and stuff before. This is kind of our new band. It's been going good in Australia for the last month. We've done some Asian stuff, but this is our first time in the US. It's going good, man. We're stoked. Real quick, why don't we mention some of the bands that you guys have played in? Okay, well, I mean, yeah, I guess a whole bunch. There's Damaged, Blood Duster, Cemetery Urn, Bremolin. That's just to name a handful, man. There's so many. We've all been playing in bands for such a long time. Dreadnought's another one that's like, you know, been in an Australian band, our bell guitarist, he played in Dreadnought for a long time. And, you know, even some more sort of like rock and roll sort of bands and stuff like that. We've all sort of been around the traps. But, you know, King Parrot's our new sort of vehicle and seems to be taking us to a lot of places in a short period of time, which is really cool. So we're just enjoying the ride at the moment. You know, it's funny because you mentioned Cemetery Urn. That is so different from what King Parrot is. Do you find that this band just really opens up the avenues for you to express yourself on a whole new level of intensity? Yeah, I think so, man. I think you take so many influences from different places with King Parrot. Obviously there's the grindcore influence, which is big and thrashy. And there's also a huge punk element to it as well. And I think the thing with King Parrot is that we try not to restrict it. We don't restrict ourselves too much. We like to be influenced by all that sort of stuff. And for me, as the front man, it's like, you know, I just do my thing. I've got a lot of energy to get out. And we try and convey that in our live show. So, yeah, it's been good. It's cool not to have any sort of rules. And there's no sort of, you know, we're going to be like this. We're going to be strictly death metal or strictly trash metal or whatever. You know, we've just sort of found a way to do it. We're just our little niche and we've got our own sound. And I think that's sort of resonating with people who are enjoying our music. Yeah, you know, what I really like about the album Bite Your Head Off, which is out now, is that there's really no what I would say titles. It's just raw, brutal energy. But at the same time, it has a good vibe to it. It seems that all you guys, when you recorded this record, were having a great time. And you're just fucking bashing out the tunes. Am I correct on that? Yeah, you did, man. Yeah, we didn't take us very long to record the album at all. You know, we had the songs through. You know, we'd been jamming the songs for a year or so. And, you know, we had it down pretty good. We just got in there and we did it live. And, you know, obviously there's a few guitar overdubs and stuff here and there. But I think, you know, when I was recording the vocals, I think I melted out the whole album in about four hours. So it was like, you know, we didn't spend months and months and months doing it. You know, it was all done in a couple of weeks. And, you know, we just had a really good time doing it. And that's sort of like the work ethic of this band, you know. It's like we just want to keep the ball rolling and keep it going and tour as much as we can and just enjoy ourselves while we're doing it. That's like the most important thing, you know. I think that sort of rubs off more than anything with King Parrot, you know. It's like we're having a really good time. And, you know, the shows are funny and ridiculous. And high-fiving. Yeah. And high energy and all that sort of stuff, you know, rather than, you know, I guess some bands, it's kind of sort of like metal bands, sort of doom and gloom a bit and all that sort of stuff where I think we're kind of the opposite to that. Yeah, man. It seems that you guys are just bringing in a fresh new perspective to the music scene where it's gotten a little too mundane, a little too serious. And everybody's stuck up on, you know, fucking either wearing corpse paint or trying to outdo themselves with how brutal they could be. It's nice to have a refreshing perspective where everybody's just having a great time. Let's talk about the United States tour. You guys have been literally touring all different regions in the United States. As you know, because now you are literally here, every separate big market is completely different. You have the liberal states and then you have the very conservative states. Have you experienced any of the political backlash in these regions? The political backlash? Yeah, like for instance, when you're like in the Bible Belt, that's like a very conservative, very right wing, very, you know, kind of redneckish type of environment. When you're like either in the east or the west coast, it's a little more liberal, a little more, you know, we like to smoke pot and mellow out. We don't give a fuck about homosexuals or lesbians fucking or getting married. You know what I mean? Yeah, yeah, well, that's how I'm feeling now. You know the United States is a very bipolar country, man. Yeah, yeah, I noticed. I certainly noticed in California how much people like to smoke pot. I mean, you can't go anywhere without smelling that shit everywhere. I reckon definitely down in Texas and all that sort of stuff, you know, you certainly notice the difference, don't you? I mean, yeah, for me, that was from a very different perspective. Yeah, for me, that was probably the most eye-opening thing. You know, just the people's demeanor and the way they talk. And, you know, I mean, we spent a week in Austin at South by Southwest, so that's pretty cool there. But, you know, going to Dallas and Houston and those sort of places is a little bit different. Yeah, that's for sure. And, you know, I think we sort of, the Bible Belt, which you're talking about, sort of in the middle, we're going to be doing that in the next week or so. But, you know, like, I haven't noticed that. I haven't noticed it so much, man. You know, I don't really pay too much attention to that. But, you know, I mean, we have a band called King Parrot, so we kind of fly under the radar a little bit. It's not like we're a, you know. Yeah, don't lie, y'all. It's not like we're like a satanic black metal band or anything like that. I just wanted to get your perspective because it is always interesting to hear when an outsider comes into the United States and they're like seeing firsthand just the fact that they're black. Yeah. Just the fucking ridiculousness in this country with the issues that are going abroad, you know? Yeah, well, it is interesting to see, you know, because, like, I think in Australia, I mean, it's kind of similar, you know. Like, Australia is quite Americanized. So, you know, I mean, we have elements of that. But I guess the more hardcore elements in America are probably more hardcore than what exists in Australia. So, yeah, I have noticed it a little bit. But, yeah, we're just trying. The audiences that you're playing to, how are they adapting to King Parrot? Because as we mentioned before, this is literally like a fresh band here in North America. Are they understanding it? Are they getting it? Are they vibing it? Talk to me about that. Yeah, look, I think so, man. I think, I guess when we sort of started out playing in Australia, we were sort of getting in people's faces a lot. And, you know, I like to get in the crowd. I like to jump in the crowd and, you know, scream in people's faces and sort of, you know, make them pay attention a bit, I guess. And I think when we first sort of started out doing that stuff in Australia, like, people were on the front foot and were really sort of, like, thought I was getting out there to try and start a fight with them or something like that. But, you know, now people are sort of used to that sort of thing in Australia. And our shows in Australia are just, like, really hectic now. Really chaotic. And everyone's sort of, you know, just fully involved in stage diving and crowd surfing. And everyone's just having a really, really good time. So I guess we're just sort of starting fresh here in America. And, you know, some of the bigger shows that we've played have been really, really awesome. And, you know, very similar to the stuff that we do in Australia. And some of the smaller shows are just what they are, you know. And we just try and do the same thing every night. And, you know, hopefully we'll get there. And, you know, hopefully it catches on like it has in Australia. And, you know, we can spend a lot more time over here touring. Yeah, man. You're coming back to Southern California April 18th. You're going to be playing the satellite. How do you feel about playing back in the City of Angels? Oh, we're stoked about that, man. You know, we had a couple of days at the end of the tour there free. And I had a chat to our booking agent. I'm like, man, we've got to fill these dates up and play in L.A. again. You know, we played the whiskey with Cattle Decapitation. We played Cattle Decapitation in March. And it was just such an awesome show. And we had a really, really good response. And, you know, I think, I'm not sure what the capacity of the satellite is. But hopefully it's a little bit smaller. And, you know, some of the people in the stores with Cattle Decapitation can come back and check us out. And hopefully we'll get a few new faces as well. Cool, man. Now, you have a record out, Bite Your Head Off. How can people get a hold of that? You can get that via the Candlelight Records USA. Yeah. Yeah. There's a link on the Facebook page. There's a link on there. You can go to this store and you can buy that. Or, you know, you can get all our merch from Indie Merch. You can get it all via our Facebook page. So, yeah, you know, it's all pretty easy to find. You know, the record's been out on Candlelight now in Europe for a while. And it's been out in Australia for a while. It only came out in America in December. So, you know, it's pretty, it's relatively new for the U.S. market. But, yeah, you know, it seems to be going well. And, you know, we're going to see what happens. We're going to see what happens. We're going to see what happens. We're going to see what happens. We're going to see what happens. But, you get that, I guess, a little bit. and it's been out in Australia for a while. It only came out in America in December. So, you know, it's pretty, it's relatively new for the U.S. market. But, yeah, that seems to be going really well, man. And, you know, we've been selling a lot of vinyl and stuff. You can buy the vinyl from our Australian merch store, but shipping's a bit of a bitch. But you get that, I guess. Well, I'm sure you guys are selling it as well with your own merch, correct? We are, man. We sold a lot of it at the shows and all that sort of stuff. So, yeah, we've got a few left. Hopefully, we've got a couple left by the time we get to LA. Cool, man. Right on. One final question. How annoyed are you with every American still doing that whole fucking Dundee impression? That whole crocodile Dundee shit. That's quite a bit, man. But the whole, that's not a nice, this is a nice thing. Yeah, yeah. Do you still have motherfuckers doing that to you? Yeah, yeah, man. We've been getting that quite a bit, you know. That's not a... Yeah, all that sort of shit. All typical stereotypes, you get it. That's all good. You know, we actually get a lot of people, like, you know, quoting our, I don't know if you've seen our videos and stuff like that, but videos for, like, shit on the liver and the new one that we did for Dead End, you know. We're actually getting quite a few people, like, quoting those to us. So, that's kind of cool. Something a bit different, you know. Nice. That's cool that people have seen it and they know about it, you know. So, that's kind of cool. But, yeah, you get all the typical Australian ones, as well. That's funny, man. King Parrot. Indeed, a band to look out for. They are, right now, literally invading the United States. The Australians are invading. This band displays not only what you want as far as a live band, which is extreme brutal energy, total fucking high intensity, raw fucking music, but without the serious fucking bullshit that we are all fucking choking on right now. Go check out a fun band, King Parrot. I want to thank you, Matt, for taking the time to talk to me. I'm the very Matt. I'm the very Matt. I'm the very Matt. I'm the very Matt. I'm the very Matt. I'm the very Matt. I'm the very Matt. I'm the very Matt. I'm the very Matt. I'm the very Matt. I'm the very Matt. I'm the very Matt. I'm the very Matt. I'm the very Matt. I'm the very Matt. I'm the very Matt. I'm the very Matt. I'm the very Matt. I'm the very Matt. All right. Let me first start off by thanking the guys from Occultist and, of course, those mutants from... Those guys are very entertaining. They sound very good. I like them. They play good music, you know. Those guys are very healthy, strong men. Those guys are better than Prozac. Fuck, I was cracking my ass up, man. They're playing tonight, as we mentioned. They're playing the Roxy. The poor kids are bringing the weapons of mosh destruction. They're launching a full assault on the Sunset Strip and all those posers over there. Make sure you go check it out. This is going to be a great show. Witch Haven, Occultist, Iron Reagan, and Ghoul. This should not be missed. As we mentioned before, Ghoul's going to also be performing up north. They're going to be playing the Brain Squeeze Festival. Why are we not going to that, Johnny? Because we do not live in Oakland and we're poor. Well, you know, Ron. That's a lot of cans we've got to collect to go up there. Between you two, you don't know someone. Do you go, hey, by the way, can we get on the list and take a drive? You know what? You know what happened to me? I don't know if you've ever experienced this. This is so fucking embarrassing and annoying. I'm sure I probably haven't. No wonder I'm fucking having to focus. Real quick, Brain Squeeze. This is April 18th through the 20th in Oakland. As we mentioned before, Municipal Waste, Final Conflict, Ghoul. Has a lot of great bands. Iron Reagan, The Shrine, Brain Oil. It's a must. All right. Last week at the, was it last week at the Behemoth? That's Saturday. Yeah, okay. I can't believe I got to ask Mike. That's how you know you're not doing well. This is interesting. Okay, so like we had Inquisition here not too long ago, right? And so, I mean, we're like legitimately recognized to be on the guest list. And we walk up there and, oh, yeah, we're on, you know, Inquisition's guest list. No, you're not. There's no guest list for Inquisition. Like, oh, fuck. That feeling. Meanwhile. All these fucking bottom feeder fucking, especially the groupie chicks. Like the one bitch we're talking about in the breakdown. I have no idea what you are talking about. Oh, man, dude. This chick, we were at a, remember that video shoot that we went for Dylan's birthday? Hey. Hey, have you met Jimmy? I don't give a fuck. Fuck him. He's not in a band. Fuck his ass. Oh, hi. How are you? Totally gravitating. Well, here I am waiting. Did she say this? Did she honestly say? I should give her an honor. Fuck you. Jimmy captured. She earned it. She earned it. So, Salvatore and Mike are standing out there, right? We're like, hey, man, we're supposed to be on the guest list. There's no fucking guest list. Like, what the fuck, right? And then all of a sudden, the tour manager comes out and he's like, hey, you know what? I just completely slipped my mind. I'm sorry. But through that time, though, what was it? Like a good 30 minutes? Yeah, 30. You feel like a fucking schmuck. I feel like a fucking asshole. Because every other motherfucker that shouldn't be on the guest list is walking right in. And they're looking at you just going, eh, I thought you were on the guest list. Yeah, yeah. Fucking scumbag. Fucking dirtbag. All right. Lost Johnny, what did we hear there? We heard some songs. This first band, King Parrot from Melbourne. Shit on the liver. Oh, boy. Sounded like my night last night at the Turnbuckle show. From their record, Bite Your Head Off. Oh, man. That's heavy shit. From another song from that album. The name of the song is called Bozo. And then we ended the set with the interesting little turn. Another Australian band, Cemetery Earn. Death, Turbulent Fire. From their record. The Conquered Are Burned. Yeah. And as we mentioned, you know, King Parrot features a member from Cemetery Earn. Fuck yeah. Which is awesome. King Parrot's coming to town April 18th. They're playing The Satellite. This is a must fucking see show. This band is fucking great. As you heard, you know, we just played a couple tracks off their record. Make sure you pick up that album, which is called Bite Your Head Off. Bite Your Head Off. That's on Candlelight Records. They're coming to town April 18th at The Satellite. All right. Scott Peterson. Scott Peterson. He's generous enough to come join us. He's going to be frolicking his way down to them. In a little Bo-Pee suit. Weapons of mosh destruction. How great is Iron Reagan and Ghoul and all those guys? Well, Iron Reagan, amazing band. Ghoul. Occultist. But honestly, Occultist is the band that, for me, not just because Jim's our friend, but because. They're great guys. No, but when you, and a great woman. They have the woman's name. So when you see them live, you will understand like what I saw in Pittsburgh when we played that festival with them. Like, I knew they were good, but they're one of those bands that they're awesome on record, but live. I don't care how old we are. You're going to want to go jump in that pit and like jump up there and sing with them. That's how good they are. Is there a possibility? I mean, will you be making a guest appearance tonight? I mean, you've been known to do that from time to time. And no one has asked me, but you know me. I'm a whore. I'll be up there in a heartbeat. You want me to introduce your roadies? I don't know. I'll do whatever. Not. I'm up here. Come get decompensated. I'm there to support Tony from Iron Reagan, Jim from Occultist, the dudes in Ghoul. And like, that's what I'm there for. I mean, anyone who knows me, if I'm out on a Sunday night, it has to be for a good goddamn reason. Because my fat tattooed ass is usually happy at home watching Walking Dead and Game of Thrones. Well, not Walking Dead anymore, but Game of Thrones now. But, you know, this is a show that needs to be seen. Yeah. It's a foolproof bill. Oh, dude. Just the fact that it's right next to the fucking. It's a rainbow. It's good. That's still a hug up on this whole rainbow thing. Oh, dude. I mean, I'm a psychiatrist's wet dream. Like, yeah, I got major issues of it, man. I mean, but just the fact that you'll see, like, the ghoul guys walking around with their hatchets and they'll be like some fucking 50-year-old cocaine fucking balding 80s faster pussycat fucker there, you know what I mean? Or the one bullet boy. I don't make. At my age, dude, I don't harbor anything anymore. No, dude. At our age, we. Fuck those dudes. We don't need to make any more apologies anymore. We're done. Fuck all those dudes. All right. Well, you got something coming up in July. Why don't you talk to us about the Grindcore? In July, I'm honored to be part of the Grindcore Fest in memory of, you know, Jesse Bentado. Right. You know, from Terrorizer, Napalm Death. I mean, Lockup. I mean, Cryptic Slaughter and Terrorizer used to play the Hoover Hall together, which, as you know, you were there. Yeah. And I get to play four Cryptic songs with my brothers in Vermont. Nice. You know, I was. I was happy that, you know, Enrique and Emma asked me if I would do that with Vermont. I'm stuck that my brothers in Vermont want me to be there to do that. And I mean, we get to share a stay with fucking Nasia. Tormentor. Fucking Tormentor. Tormentor. How do you feel about that, man? I think it's fucking great. I honestly do. I had those guys on the show not too long ago, man. And just the fact that they are. Just the fact that they reunited, they're going to be performing. That's going to be great. I haven't seen them literally since, you know, I was a waste 32. That's a long time ago. Get old days. Get old days. I mean, I just, I love the fact that older bands that were around when I was around were still doing. I mean, I wish I could do with Cryptic. You know, it doesn't happen. You've been hounded a lot by that, man. Like, people always seem to, like, think that there's a whole other reason why you're not doing it. No, you know. And you've always been gracious enough to just keep. When does, does it get old? Do you get tired or what? No, not at all. I mean, the fact that people still want it so bad as much as, you know, and all. Honestly, as much as the rest of us in Cryptic Sutter wanted us. You know what? Les wants it. I want it. Rob wanted to do it. And it's just, it's just one of those things that, unfortunately, with, at the age that we're at, our schedules, it's just, you know, it's not going to happen. And, you know, and Bill's made it clear to us that he doesn't want to be part of it. And so we have come to a crossroads that, okay, if we're going to do it, our fans can be cool with us doing it with another singer. And it's just one of those things that will, you know. And we will cross that bridge when we get to it. If it happens, it's meant to happen. If it doesn't, it doesn't. I mean, at least I get to be on stage with Vermock and play four songs of Cryptic Sutter for the fans of L.A. And, I mean, that's where we're, I mean, we're from Santa Monica, but, you know, you were there back in the day at Fender's Ballroom. Yeah, we're an L.A. band. And we love our fans as much as they love us. And we owe everything to them for keeping our name alive. So the least I can do is get up on stage with Vermock. And play those Cryptic songs for them. And have them sing along and give them something. Well, you know what's even worth mentioning? What's worth mentioning also is the fact that Relapse Record, which, of course, last time you were here, we promoted and we talked about. They re-released Money Talks and Convicted on vinyl. So make sure you go pick that up. And then, this is interesting, as Scott mentioned, July 12th, Grindcore. This is the festival that is brought up to pay tribute to the late, great Jesse Pentado. Vermock. Nasia. Of course, yours truly, Cryptic Slaughter will be there. I mean, well, excuse me. That's Scott from Cryptic Slaughter. I don't want to start the rumors. Phobia, War Master, FCDN, Tormentor, Blood Come Fucking A. And a list of other fucking bands. Louis Seidel. And I have to give a special shout out to a younger band that's going to be there that my buddy Jason Charles is working with called Raptor from Portland. These are younger kids, but they're an old school thrash band. Honestly, if you like good old school thrash like Exodus, Cryptic Slaughter, watch Raptor. You will fucking, they're going to fucking kill it. This is going on at 333 Live. Tickets are available now for that. Also, you are going to be coming out, my dear friend, in the new Bulldozer Magazine Cryptic Slaughter interview with you and Les. And even Bill Montoya chimed in on that. I know, we miss that guy. Yeah, that guy. We're going to see that guy. Yeah, he should be here today. It's going to be great. All right. So, as I mentioned, Bulldozer Magazine is coming out April 28th. Keep an eye out for that. There's going to be a nice little, really good compilation CD, which features some great bands from Los Angeles. Okay. Exciter announced that they are reuniting all original members, correct? Yes. That's interesting. I'm looking forward to that. You more than me. I am a heavy metal maniac. So, Chester, why don't you hit it?
