My fellow human beings, vote for nobody.
Remember that.
There is no difference between a Republican and a Democrat.
If you want to know the winner of the presidential election, follow the paper trail of the Wall Street selection.
You must remember that.
There is no difference between a Republican and a Democrat.
Because an electoral win or defeat is always dictated by Wall Street.
You see, the donkey wears a smile and the elephant don't.
GOP reveals they're greedy and the Democrats won't.
So vote for nobody, my fellow human beings.
It's the same old crap.
Vote for nobody, it's the Republican.
Two heads, one body, still the same fat cat.
You see, this is for our family and our children's children.
Let's start fresh and start the building.
Let's create autonomous federations.
Destroy borders and liberate reservations.
So vote for nobody, because you'll always win.
Because when you put that ballot in, the lesser of the two evils is still no less of a sin, my fellow human beings.
You'll always lose because nobody wins.
Do your research and gain that knowledge.
Your vote gets lost in the electoral college.
There is no direct democracy.
And this is no conspiracy theory.
It's reality, my fellow human beings.
So vote for nobody, you'll always win.
Vote for nobody, remember that.
There is no difference between a Republican and a Democrat, my fellow human beings.
Nobody approves of this public message.

It's time for some real music.
It's showtime.
We have seen imitators.
We've also seen duplicators.
But now, it's time for the originators.
Is there anything you want to say to your family about these charges?
Those are pretty serious charges.
I mean, they're serious.
You're saying you had a really long relationship with your student.
That he came to your house at CPS.
Did you have an abortion?
Did you have a baby with him?
Were you pregnant?
Is there anything you would like to say besides all the comments?
I don't want to say anything.
There's nothing you want to say at all just to any of the parents out there.
You've been a teacher for a while.
All right.
I guess that's our intro there.
Los Angeles and the rest of the world.
Jeremy, you want to put on that Van Halen Hot for Teacher tune, please?
Dude, you didn't have that on your list, man.
Ugh, wow.
That's the issue here.
All right.
Los Angeles and the rest of the world.
You're listening to The Very Manic Jimmy Cab Show.
I am your host, Jimmy Cabs, along with Chester.
Broadcasting live from downtown gentrified Los Angeles.
Wow, what a week.
What a week.
Where do we begin?
Today is June 7th.
The primaries are going on as we speak.
Vote with a bullet, I would say.
These shenanigans that we're dealing with nowadays is just so blatantly in our face.
Where do I begin?
Is anyone else disgusted?
First of all, these little stickers that they give you when you vote that say, I voted.
Let me see.
See that?
Make you look like a fucking asshole.
Because sometimes you just feel that your vote is not even worth anything, you know?
Bernie Sanders.
Fighting till the end.
Bernie.
Wild in the streets, Bernie.
Wow, boy, did they pull the fucking rug under him.
Can you believe that shit, Chester?
With the media?
Yeah, they decided yesterday that Hillary Clinton was going to win this primary.
I mean, wow.
Talk about fucking straight up just like saying, fuck it.
This is what it is.
Fuck.
The primaries weren't even done and they're already announcing her as the winner.
And as of right now, I haven't been watching the media.
Do you have any updates for us here?
I can tell you what happened on the Democratic side.
So, let me pull it up here.
Let me guess.
She's fucking leading with an enormous lead.
Yeah, so Clinton won New Jersey.
Clinton won South Dakota.
Bernie won North Dakota.
Clinton won New Mexico.
Clinton, they haven't called it yet in Montana.
But it's pretty close.
I think what's worth recognizing, though, is that it was very close in every...
one of these states.
Really?
Yeah.
Okay, well, then, you know, one of the things that's interesting for me is the fact here in California, a huge, a huge uprising for Bernie.
It seems like everyone really was going out of their way to not give up the fight, so to speak, and pushing for people to go vote.
And all day, I don't know about you, did you vote today?
Yeah, I did.
Okay, I don't know about you.
I was conflicted.
I felt partially like, why bother?
You know, the decisions, the decisions already been made for me.
And, which is the wrong attitude, because still, we don't want to give in to these fucking...
the establishment, I guess, you know.
But I was very disgusted as I voted today.
How did you feel?
Well, first I showed up at the polling place right around the corner here.
What a nightmare.
And I had changed my registration, you know, well within the amount of time that was necessary, because, as you know, unless you're a registered Democrat here in the state of California for the primaries, you can't vote that direction.
So I was registered independent, changed my vote, or my registration, and showed up.
And of course, on their little piece of paper, they still have me as an independent.
So I actually brought my registration, and I was able to get my registration, uh, form with me, because I had a feeling that this kind of shit would happen.
Right.
Um, just to show them that I am indeed registered Democrat, so they would give me a ballot.
You would think that in 2016, they would have a more efficient way of dealing with the voting process.
What did you think?
I had this exact conversation with someone else earlier today.
We're in the internet age.
We're in the tech age.
Um, I work in that industry.
I know for a fact, that there is much, much better ways to do this using today's technology.
And ways that would be far more accurate.
Right.
Um, and, uh, you know, what I was telling my friend is there should be a way that I can verify that my vote was even counted.
Because I'll tell you what.
There were some fucking chuckleheads at my polling place.
And quite frankly, I don't, I don't know.
I don't have any confidence that, that the, the, the people did what they needed to do to even make sure my vote was counted.
You know, one of the things that I've noticed is, is that when you go vote, uh, they tend to have a lot of senior citizen volunteers.
Have you noticed that?
Yeah.
And also a lot of the young.
And, uh, where I went to go vote today, it seemed like those senior citizens were fucking, uh, on the verge of shitting on themselves.
Cause they couldn't even fucking find my name.
You know what I mean?
I had to point it out to them on the list.
And, uh, I just find it all very disturbing how, you know, here we are, the United States, the, one of the most powerful nations allegedly.
And, uh, you know, the, we boast about how democratic we are.
And this election really has just been saturated.
And it's been overly abundant with the fact that, you know what, we really have lost the ability to, uh.
This is not a democratic.
It is not.
It's a fucking joke, man.
Anyone that believes that we live in a democracy is fooling themselves.
They're full of shit, man.
I mean, uh, you know, I, I, uh, earlier made a statement that I said, uh, today is the first day of the downfall of the Republic.
Uh, I really feel that, uh, this whole process that we are going through right now is just a farce.
And, uh, even though I do admire Bernie Sanders for, uh, fighting till the end, it's just frustrating for me.
And, uh, the fact that I, for, uh, And, uh, the fact that I forced myself to go vote, even though I knew that, uh, I felt that it was just a waste of fucking time.
So, what do we do here, people?
What do we do?
Uh, what, what do we do, Chester?
I mean, vote with a bullet?
I mean, where, where are we going next?
I mean, uh, you know.
It's, it's time for a real revolution in this country.
Right.
And, and people need to realize that, uh, we, we do have the power, but we, we have been privileged to, uh, vote.
And, uh, we, we have been privileged to, uh, vote.
We have been programmed to think that we are weak, that we shouldn't take action.
We're distracted by bullshit in the media to take our focus off of how badly we're being fucked.
Yeah, absolutely.
And when things get as bad as they can get, things need to get really, really fucking bad.
And then the people are going to start to take back this country.
Well, one of the things that I want to point out is the fact that money talks.
Stanford, the Stanford rape case, this is very interesting.
Brock Turner convicted of raping a young lady who I believe was under the influence.
He got six months.
Can you believe that?
Six months for rape.
Three months probation.
Three months county jail time.
And...
Would we do...
Would I have that?
Well, first of all, I wouldn't...
I'm not encouraging rape and nor would I do that.
But the point is, is obviously the scales are tilted towards those that tend to have the dough.
For me, that was very interesting.
Obviously, Judge Aaron Persky is being ridiculed.
And there's a huge petition to have this judge ousted by that.
What's your opinion on that?
First of all, six months for rape in Stanford.
You know what that means?
It's going to be party time in Stanford, man.
Can you believe that?
That's nothing.
Dude, six months.
That's nothing.
Three months probation.
Three months county jail time for fucking...
One of the things that I found interesting was the fact that Brock Turner's father wrote a letter to the judge appealing for him just to, I guess, not ruin his son's life.
And one of the quotes that they said was the fact that for 20 minutes of action...
Did you hear about that, Chester?
No.
I didn't.
20 minutes of action.
You know, it's not worth ruining his life.
You know, he made a mistake.
He was fucking some passed out chick out somewhere outside behind a dumpster.
How hard up do you must be?
Why didn't he just go fuck a pipe?
Right?
We were discussing that last week.
Go fuck a pipe.
Anyways, there you go.
The scales of justice.
Right?
Justice is blind.
Well, I'll tell you what.
Justice is blind, but they can smell money.
One of the things that I've been very, very, very obsessed with...
You've been busting my balls about this.
By the way, you and my she-wolf have been busting my balls.
Do we have images of this young lady here?
Yeah, let me...
Okay.
Alexandria Vera, 24.
A teacher.
There she is.
Look at that.
Oh, my God.
Look at that right there.
Okay, now, to...
First of all, what is wrong with these fucking kids?
Second of all, fucking a 13-year-old.
Look at her right there.
God.
Oh, yeah.
That looks bad.
That looks bad.
Now, for me...
Hey, this is the ultimate fantasy here.
Boy, look at that.
Look at that kid.
Tell me that kid...
Does that kid look damaged to you?
Chester, does he look damaged to you?
He doesn't look damaged.
Right?
She looks like any other kid.
Doesn't he look like...
Dude.
Dude, he's banging a hot chick.
He's 13.
That's my only argument is that I just don't think she's that hot.
You don't think she's hot?
Really?
Really?
I think that...
Ugh.
Instagram picture right there is a sham.
I've been obsessed with this all week, man.
I know.
I've been losing my fucking mind.
You know, it's been affecting my relationship, too, because it's hard to come off as this mature male when I'm fucking acting like Peter Pan fantasizing about this, but oh my God.
I think if she went on meth for a year, then she'd be hotter.
Anyways, well, guess what?
She was fucking this 13-year-old.
And as you know...
It's been broadcast all over the media.
Look at that kid.
I just don't see the psychological damage that this kid would have.
If anything, I think it would bolster his confidence.
He's definitely learning how to fuck some pussy.
How rad is this kid?
Is this kid rad?
Does this kid have some game?
Does this kid...
Is this kid going to be bombarded by vagina as he gets older?
I mean...
Well, the family knew about it.
Of course.
They were cool with it.
Yeah, they were...
Or his family, and they were cool with it.
Yeah.
I mean, dude, how can...
If my...
But then she got...
She got knocked up, and then Child Protective Services gave her a call, and then she went and dumped the baby.
I don't understand why...
Okay, let's address the issue here.
If it was reversed, if it was a male with a 13-year-old young girl, okay, that would be...
And I know what people are going to say.
They're going to say that I'm being hypocritical and, you know, this and that.
But there's different...
It's a different thing, man.
This is what a kid dreams about.
This is what a...
If I was fucking at 13, 14 years of age, I would be a different man right now.
I would have confidence.
I wouldn't have gone through all this fucking turmoil, psychological turmoil that I went through.
I wouldn't know how to deal with women.
This kid has been blessed.
He's getting fucking firsthand lessons in fucking the pussy.
And you know what?
More power to him.
It's not like he's going to be with this chick for the rest of his life.
By the time he turns 16, 17, he's out the door, right?
What?
What's the harm?
What's the fucking harm?
Okay.
Granted, we live in a society where everybody's so moral and everybody's so fucking righteous and they all follow the strict code, this moral code, this God-fearing nation of ours.
What a fucking load of shit.
I think this kid is right.
Put up that image of that kid again.
I don't see any harm in this kid.
On the contrary...
Oh, my God.
Now, granted.
Maybe some of her photos are a little altered.
This is something that is becoming a very big problem with social media.
Wouldn't you agree, Chester?
Yeah.
Women misinterpreting or misleading men with these images that are altered.
Now, I'm not a very technical cyber guy, but I believe that there's apps that you can use for your photos to make you look more attractive and thinner and what have you.
Is that correct?
Yeah.
They got all kinds of apps.
They got all kinds of apps to clean up your photos and make you look super hot when you're kind of fat.
Is there any way you could give me a little fucking rundown on that so I can start applying that to my photos?
All right.
So, anyways, I thought that was kind of interesting.
All week, I've been getting grief from my significant other telling me that I'm a fucking asshole.
But you know what?
I just think that that's a rad fucking fantasy right there.
As a matter of fact, don't we have a soundbite discussing this?
In any case, can we hear that soundbite?
Hopefully, it came in properly.
Is this hot for teacher four?
I believe so.
There you go. ...
sexually abusing a teenage student she allegedly started having an affair with when he was just in eighth grade.
Court documents say that 24-year-old Alexandra Vera, who taught English at Thomas J.
Stovall Middle School, was even impregnated by the teen until she terminated the pregnancy after investigators began questioning their relationship.

Now Let me ask you this Where would you go If you were 13 years old Do you think he even recognizes What he has there?
What do you think Chester?
Do you think he You know It depends on what kind of kid he is I I I'm almost happy Half expecting that this kid's kind of like A dipshit?
Well Yeah But probably maybe like a class clown Gets a lot of attention You think so?
Yeah I don't know I just have that feeling And And she Is young enough Ugh To To probably be A piece of ass Attracted to The The popular kid In class Do you think Let me ask you this Do you think that this kid Sex appeal Amongst his own Female age bracket Do you think like All the little young chicks Are like drooling over him now?
Because he's been banging This like 24 year old chick I got a feeling That this generation Yeah Right?
Like The The The girls Of his own age Are probably like Turned on By what this kid is doing And that's kind of Fucked up to say But I think this generation That makes sense Oh man Don't say it in the way of love Leave him alone Alright Muhammad Ali Passed away During the week Did you hear about that Chester?
Yeah of course Oh So tragic man Muhammad Ali As you know You know I don't need to go Into the spiel with him He Is known for being A championship boxer But If you really look Into the history Especially during The early Racial years Of the United States During the 60s And so forth He really Went out of his way To Take a position Which was not popular At that time Against the Vietnam War Against The discrimination And he was very vocal I mean He's known for having A big mouth But at the same time He really took a stand When When you needed to And it's just sad That he passed away I I don't even know What to say about that Other than you know I think it's sad End of an era So there you go Muhammad Ali Rest in peace Alright Let's get into this As I mentioned I saw The Obsessed A couple of days ago Why no in The Obsessed?
He has reformed The Obsessed They played Here locally They're on tour As we speak I gotta say That was an incredible Fucking show I've always had The privilege of Having a good relationship With Wino And I've been A fan of all his projects Especially The Obsessed So I got a nice Little interview with him But before that Why don't we listen To this track Entitled Blind Lightning Off the Church Within record Chester Take it away!
Dreamer Won't buy time You're a martyr Of your mind Vision Ideas unheard Future Just another word Dreamer Your road turns A path of darkness Stride on Unafraid You're a martyr Searching For lost moments You've seen them Eternal grace guitar solo!

We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
This is my question to you though.
When you were writing the new material, were you in any way, shape or form intimidated because of the legacy that you've created?
Well, the church within is a powerful record.
And I know it's got to be as good or better than that record.
And it will be.
Because, you know, it's like no matter how you slice it, live shows, live is a strange animal.
You know what I mean?
Like tonight, for example, I mean, it was tight.
It was intimate.
It was great.
But at the same time, it's not like it wasn't the perfect audio.
But I like that a lot sometimes, you know.
So tonight was perfect.
But every show is different live.
So, you know, when you're playing live, you pack all that hard work into 45 minutes or an hour, you know, like months and months and months of work into like 45 minutes or an hour.
So, you know, there's always, you know, there's always can be like a little flex, you know.
Right.
But the structure.
The studio is where I really love.
I mean, I love to be in the studio, especially when somebody else is paying for it.
Like, you know, we have a really killer label behind us now.
They gave us a really good deal, man.
It's like we got a really good deal.
It's a licensing deal to where, man, I believe in that label and they believe in me.
And I've had a lot of chances, man.
And I intend to fucking really make this the one.
Because, you know, the recorded music is our legacy, you know.
Absolutely.
And, you know, the recorded music is what gets people through.
And, you know, like I've said before, I mean, you know, the music has to be the kind of music that heals and has to be the kind of music that fucking really makes people think.
And we're just going to be the same stuff.
We're just not going to, you know, I think that with Brian out the helm and I think, oh, man, I'm so inspired, you know.
Are you?
Are you excited?
Are you excited right now?
I'm feeling really inspired, man.
Really, really inspired.
Really inspired.
One of the things that I've always liked about your writing is that aside from keeping it real.
And writing provocative, very real world, inspirational world observations is the fact, as you mentioned, what's going on around us right now in this day and age.
Oh, my God, dude.
It's crazy.
How is this influencing the new album?
Well, I mean, these records are fucking intense, man.
I mean, I mean, these days are intense.
I mean, shit is happening.
Right.
Yeah, they're very frightening.
But, you know.
It's like it's like my tech.
He's like 20 some years old.
Right.
And he says to me, he says, well, people suck anyways.
He goes, you know, it's time.
It's time for people to be gone and for like, you know, well, the bottom line is, you know, like I said before, I think, you know, pretty soon Mother Earth is going to peak, you know.
Yeah.
And with it is going to go the filth and all the lies.
I mean, when you really break it down into like, you know, the United States situation.
I just really hope, man, that all this fucking all all the all the negative stuff.
I want to I want to seek away.
I mean, you know, we're not really a doom band, man.
We're a fucking hope band, you know.
Absolutely.
One of the things for me that I've always admired about your writing and your music and your performances is that you really connect with your audience.
What I mean by that is there's so many musicians that go up there and they do a show, which is predictable, mundane and boring.
But what I like about your shows or as more to make it more detailed, the obsessed shows is the fact that here you are doing your thing.
But now you have the obsessed with a whole new fresh breath of life.
Are you feeling that?
Because it seemed to me tonight you were really enjoying the camaraderie between yourself and the audience.
Absolutely, man.
I mean, this is really.
That's beautiful, man.
It's beautiful, man.
It's beautiful.
I mean, I feel like, like I said, I've had a lot of chances.
And I feel like the time has really never been right.
Man, I feel like the time is right now.
You know, I feel like the time is right.
And I want to.
I just want to bring the message to the people, man.
And the music, the music talks, man.
Absolutely.
It's a bullshit walk, you know.
And, you know, whether, you know, whether it's rock, whatever you want to call it, man.
It's like it's for the people.
The Obsessed has had a long history and a long legacy of being.
Real, true, heavy, et cetera, et cetera.
But for me, one of the things that I've always admired about Wino and the Obsessed is the fact that they are genuine.
I want to thank you for being genuine.
I want to thank you for being real.
I want to thank you for writing music, not only with the Obsessed, but all your projects, all your bands, everything you've been involved with.
Because in this day and age, it's music that helps us get through these horrific days.
Yes.
Yes.
And I think that you not only keep us all united being as humans, but you have music that is timeless.
So hopefully, decades from now, they'll be listening to where you're going to be coming out soon.
The Obsessed has a new record coming out on Relapse Records.
When do we expect this?
Around February.
Is there a working title?
Yeah, it's going to be called Sacred.
What a great title.
How appropriate.
Right?
Well, all I can say is, man, thanks to everybody who believes.
And, you know.
If it ain't heavy, it ain't shit.
That's right.
The Obsessed is on tour now.
Make sure you go out and see what we've been talking about for decades.
Please, please read the mag and go online and check it out because this is the real deal.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
As you heard him say, if it ain't heavy, it ain't shit.
Whatever project that he has resurrected, he always focuses on material that really depletes the true reality of what we're dealing with.
And that music is what keeps us somewhat grounded and sane, especially in this day and age.
Chester, how fucking crazy and scary is it right now?
Yeah, it's...
It's a really bad time.
It is, right?
I think we're headed toward the fall of the empire.
You know what, man?
I said this earlier, you know?
Today is the first day of the end...
The first day of the beginning of the end of the republic.
It's music that helps us get through these times, especially today.
Just look what's going on here, man.
I mean, Hillary looks like she's going to take it all the way.
And what choice is...
What choice do we have?
All right.
Let's move on, because it's just depressing as fuck.
Hey, real quick.
Put up that image of that teacher again, because that's the only fucking pleasure I have.
Aside, let me make this clear.
Love my she-wolf.
Okay, look at that.
Not with that kid.
I don't want to fucking...
I want...
No, no, no, not that one.
Put up a sexy one.
Love my she-wolf, but dude.
Oh, my God.
Just picture yourself being in the seventh...
Thirteen.
What is that?
Seventh grade?
Eighth grade?
Just picture yourself in the seventh...
Eighth grade?
Eighth grade?
Eighth grade?
Eighth grade?
And your fucking English teacher wants to suck your cock.
Is that rad?
Think about that.
Think about that.
For reals.
I know that sounds kind of fucking inappropriate to say, but come on.
Chester, are you with me with that?
Does that not sound rad?
Yeah.
Right?
A woman, a woman, even though obviously she has psychological issues and, you know, has her own fucking thing, but...
Put it this way.
I don't think that this chick is as hot as you think she is, but she's...
She's definitely hotter than the first chick I banged.
Just think about it this way.
You're 13 years old and you have a 24-year-old woman teaching you how to perform cunnilingus.
That says it all right there.
Regardless of what...
You know, we live in a society where everybody's so moral and so righteous and so fucking God-fearing.
At the end of the day, if you don't know how to eat pussy, you're fucked in this world.
So, you know what?
Bless this.
Bless this teacher for fucking doing such a marvelous job and going way beyond what she's supposed to do.
All right.
With that, let's get to some music here.
This is a track that we're going to play off a new record by a band called Sour Vein.
This is off the Aquatic Occult record.
This is a track called Tempest of Desire.
Chester, take it away.
Tempest of Desire.
Tempest of Desire.
Tempest of Desire.
Tempest of Desire.
Tempest of Desire.
Tempest of Desire.
Tempest of Desire.
Tempest of Desire.
It'll be worse Well clouds make me at home Like a girl from the Ospreys club In twilight skies I feel the skies Feel the skies A double piece lies in shame Right to the source and left to face There's pleasure in this confusion Earn this right away Right away With the sunshine comes the crane Oh the passion is a burning Dim the flame and fan the flame As seasons change As seasons change As seasons change Nothing remains Nothing remains To saw me out Slippin' skies beneath the leaves Buried deep as a hawk of thieves Sacrificed for the feeling So much higher than before Than before Lost to grace In the chase Forever always Made a ways To saw me out Slippin' skies beneath the leaves Buried deep as a hawk of thieves Sacrificed for the feeling So much higher than before Slippin' skies beneath the leaves Buried deep as a hawk of thieves Sacrificed for the feeling So much higher than before Lost to grace In the chase Forever always Made a ways To saw me out Slippin' skies beneath the leaves Buried deep as a hawk of thieves Sacrificed for the feeling So much higher than before Threatened to hold tight Threatened to hold tight We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.

We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.

We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
Sanders and it did not fucking matter one bit.
You know what this reminds me of?
This reminds me of the Al Gore Bush scandal.
Do you remember that?
Yeah.
Well, you know what they call this in other countries?
They call it a coup d'etat.
Yeah, absolutely.
Absolutely.
You know what's really even more disturbing?
This is what really annoyed me the most.
I mean, we talked about the inadequacies and how obsolete the voting procedure is, the protocol is.
I mean, you and I were talking during the break there about how you know firsthand that there's technology that could make this more efficient, more up to date, correct?
Yeah.
You know, Amazon handles more transactions on a daily basis than we do in our voting turnout, you know, throughout the entire campaign.
So if Amazon can derive technology to handle millions and millions of transactions, you know, every day, you don't think that there's, you know, Silicon Valley programmers that could create a voting system that is both accurate, efficient, and secure.
I mean, come on, this is the internet age.
We have Silicon Valley companies that could do this in a night.
But you know what was more disturbing for me today, Chester?
This is what really, really just horrified the fuck out of me.
So I walk into my local polling place, correct?
And I noticed a bunch of hot pussy in there.
And they all had the Bernie Sanders gear.
And you know, they're all optimistic.
And, you know, and I was like, Oh, hey, yeah, you know what I mean?
I mean, granted, you know, I'm shackled and in a relationship, but I can still look.
But this is what even was more disturbing.
Every bitter, negative, vile, just fucking horrendous, morbidly obese cunt was for Hillary.
Yeah.
What does that tell you?
Yeah, I mean, absolutely.
What does that tell you?
It tells you that we're fucked.
Let's vote with the bullets.
We're completely fucked.
All right.
I want to tell all of you to suck your bone.
Let's listen to some boy VOD.
And then we're going to get into an interview with boy VOD.
Take it away, Chester.
Take it away.
I'm putting a deal today Sucks like a moon Like a bear, not alone I'm playing sound With lots of blow, alright I decide You're the one on my chest You don't care for the ground I'm gonna break your shell My shell becomes the truth Sucks like a moon Like a bear, not alone I'm playing sound With lots of blow, alright I'm playing sound I'm playing sound I'm playing sound I'm playing sound I'm playing sound I'm playing sound I'm playing sound I'm playing sound I'm playing sound I'm playing sound I'm playing sound I'm playing sound I'm playing sound I'm playing sound guitar solo guitar solo guitar solo I don't know about you.
I'm disgusted.
I'm fucking outraged.
I'm fucking pissed.
Chester, are you pissed off?
I'm pissed off.
I know.
I saw you eating those peanuts.
We're fucking pissed off.
This is fucking bullshit.
The 1% not only controls this nation, but you know what?
We're fucked.
We're fucked.
What are you going to do?
I know what I'm going to do.
You know what?
I don't know what I'm going to do.
I'm going to jack off thinking about that teacher.
All right.
Let's go into this interview that I did with Snake from Voivod.
Voivod has an EPL called Post Society, and how appropriate.
Post Society really just depicts the bullshit that we're dealing with here in the United States.
So, Chester, why don't you distract me and get into this video?
All right.
This is Jimmy Cabs here at the Whiskey-O-Go-Go.
5150.
Interview series, Bulldozer Magazine, and the very manic Jimmy Cabs show.
Here, indeed, very humbled and privileged to be here with the one and only and the iconic Snake of Voivod.
Hello there.
1983, early 84, I believe I received a demo from a tape trader friend.
Which is a long story.
Look it up, kids.
Tape trading.
And it was the Voivod demo, and then Warren Payne came back up.
I believe a couple months after that.
And what a tremendous record that record was.
It had such an impact, such a groundbreaking effect under the subculture metal culture.
And then above that.
Here we are almost 30 years later.
33, yeah.
How mind-blowing is that?
Here we are over 30 years, and not only are we here on Earth, but you are still creating groundbreaking music.
My question to you.
Number one is, how do you do that?
And I mean that respectfully.
My back hurts just doing this interview.
My feet hurt.
I don't know.
I think it's from when we started up the band.
We were kind of far out in the woods.
And we've never been influenced too much by other things.
Then it was hard for us to kind of go out there and if we would have been from L.A.
or New York or something like that.
Maybe it would have been different.
And so I guess it's because we're, you know, maybe far out there, French-Canadian, living in isolated place.
And also I think the knowledge of, the musical knowledge of Piggy was kind of like really amazing back in the days.
Because we were just kids.
And he was a little bit older than us.
And he had like different influences from, you know, prog music.
So we were kind of like following him.
He was our maestro sort of thing.
Mentor.
Mentor, exactly.
And so I think, you know, we were all excited by this new metal thing that, you know, we're catching the wave of metal.
But he also, he brought the thing that was special about, you know, what we are now.
I think, you know, we got influenced by different thing than metal.
We opened our ears and tried to figure out what would be the craziest thing to do.
And the most, you know, something different than others.
And so after the first album, we realized that we were really different because we saw the review.
Some reviews were really bad, you know.
It was like we were qualified.
It was we were qualified as the worst band on earth and stuff like that.
But we were so happy because somehow, you know, people picked up that record because of that.
And we didn't have any budget too, you know.
It was really low.
It was very raw.
Yeah.
And so, yeah.
And so it kind of followed us, you know, with our career.
That thing, that edge, that different edge, you know.
Especially with Piggies playing.
And he had this three-tone guitar chords.
Only him could do that sort of thing.
And so it brought something different in the metal scene, I guess.
Because nowadays, you know, I'm hearing stuff, you know.
Yeah, I'm hearing stuff.
Rock breaking.
Yeah.
Even that stuff like sometimes, you know, even stuff that is more commercial.
Let's say like Foo Fighters.
Sometimes I can hear the tone of things.
Yeah.
I can hear the tone of Piggies somehow, you know.
And so I think we brought, Piggie brought something different to the metal scene, that's for sure.
And, you know, we keep doing it for, you know, in order to honor him somehow, you know.
Because after when he died, you know, we were so devastated.
And, you know, we had to do something.
And we took some time off.
And finally after, you know, a few years, we met this guy Chewy who was like the best person to kind of fill up these shoes, you know.
And because he was a Voivode fan, like he started to listen to Voivode at 12, 13 years old when he saw our show in his hometown.
And he picked up a guitar and started to learn Piggie stuff.
And so it's like...
It's like putting a seed on the ground and let it grow, you know.
So a tree falls and then there's another tree.
Another one grows.
Yeah.
And so...
Following in the same direction.
Yeah.
So we feel extremely lucky to keep doing what we do.
And it's to honor Piggie and to...
Because we love what we're doing.
Obviously, you know, we have the chance to still doing it.
And so we keep going.
One of the big frustrations I've always had...
Yeah.
Throughout the decades is the fact that, as you mentioned, from the beginning, Voivode was separate from what was going on at that time.
Creatively, musically, and definitely where you ventured off after that.
What was frustrating for a dedicated fan like myself and also now, 30 something years later, just someone who is a music fan is the fact that the band always seemed to get such criticism for each and every venture, creative adventure that you would go on.
Mm-hmm.
Yet the heavy criticism always seemed to dissipate once the product was out.
Mm-hmm.
Once the music was out.
Because regardless of whatever direction you were going in a creative way, at the end of the day, it always had the Voivode seal, the what I would say foundation.
My question to you is, did it bother you getting all this heat, all this slack for each and every creative venture that you went on?
Because every album in its entirety has been a product of the same creator.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
you know so people would say oh it's different but it's still voivod and that is kind of still a mystery for me to explain this because uh chewy you know he's not piggy obviously he's not piggy but what comes out of of his guitar even in new songs you know it's so the spirit of piggy so there that it's it's this voivod signature is there and um it it feels like he was still with us you know and it's it's really strange and um but uh you know it's obviously when we do something different all the time people always say oh i like this better and whatever you know you know choices in music and you know your preference or it's it's different for everybody what is very evident though is the fact that throughout your career again which is worth mentioning is the fact that you are music lover music lovers and musician and artists first what i mean by that is the fact that just as you said hey we do what we want you don't you didn't follow the safe productive promotion road like every other artist where they all these roads at the end leave towards stagnation and death i feel that your boy bod is at the most creative level now because of all the life experiences have you gone have gone through and let's face it i don't like to use the word older but we're more mature yeah would you agree with that i totally agree with that i think uh once you get a little bit older you know what you want more you know yeah and and you don't like the record well you know pick up another one that's basically that's that's what i'm saying yeah i think that's the point and the music industry is so different than it was before you know dead revolution um before you know when we started up the band we wanted to reach the highest level of whatever you know did you really no but i mean you dream of that dream you know of being you know being huge and whatever but all of a sudden you know after many it's a roller coaster basically you know you hops and down and and you know the tragic death of piggy was like kind of you know a slap in the face and go back to the ground thing the reality is you know he's gone what are we gonna do yeah we're all mortals yeah it's like we're humans exactly and um but uh like you said i mean the thing is the kids and the fans you know they know the difference you know and i think our fans are really loyal very loyal and they i'm sure if we go like for the mainstream thing they would they would be pissed off you know they want that why what kind of creation or whatever that we try to do like uh you know on different albums i mean there's always something different and uh they're all excited i i can tell you know people sometimes oh the new boy was coming and i'm all excited and like i can't wait and there's a there's a need for it the existing existing existing existing existing I'm bad at math, man.
Shit, I'm 39 now, so you do the math for me.
Oh, forget it.
In 1986, here in Los Angeles, Metallica was opening for the Aussie tour.
They were playing, this was during the Master of Puppets, and the Aussie was headlining this tour, and they were at the Long Beach Arena.
One of the things that was so monumental at that time was the fact that right down the street, at a little place called Fender's Ballroom, the exact same night, Celtic Frost or Celtic Frost, Voivod, Running Wild, St. Vitus, and FCD and Tormentor were playing, and what an amazing show.
Voivod, great fucking guys there.
Why don't we crank something off their new EP entitled Forever Mountain.
This is off the Post Society EP.
Voivod is on tour right now as we speak.
Make sure you go on their social media sites and go see what I've known for over, 30 years.
Chester, let's crank some Forever Mountain.
Forever Mountain.
Forever Mountain.
Forever Mountain.
Forever Mountain.
Forever Mountain.

What we heard there was the track Forever Mountain of Voivod's new EP entitled Post Society.
How appropriate is that?
Voivod, Post Society.
Voivod is on tour right now as we speak.
They're touring with King Parrot.
Make sure you go and check out that show.
It's an amazing show.
They play tracks off their whole discography for the last 30 years.
So much material.
Some people like the older stuff.
Some people like the newer stuff.
Some people like the sci-fi stuff.
I like it all.
Voivod is Voivod to me and they're fucking great.
All right.
Let's get back into this interview that I conducted with Snake from Voivod.
Obviously this is before we had this whole fucking political snafu that we're dealing with now.
So why don't we take a look at an interview that I conducted when I was in a better mood.
Chester, take it away.
One of the interesting things for me aside from the music is just the creativity that you have created for your listeners and your fan base to explore.
Be that as it may, here we are 2016.
A whole new generation of Voivod fans who have this immense catalog to go on to whatever journey they want to.
Whether it's War and Pain or The Dimensions or what have you.
Talk to me about post-society.
What is it that you're trying to relay to your audiences, new and old, on this EP?
Well, I guess it's, you know, you know, like, I don't want to be pessimist, but...
We're adults.
It comes with the territory.
I see the world, you know, as it goes, you know, it's...
I try to think that, okay, you know, we'll have a few...
Humanity will have a future, but there's always a little voice inside of me that says, no, we're not going to make it.
We're doomed.
We're fucked.
We're whatever.
And post-society is about that little, you know, that kind of future that is just ahead of us.
You know, what kind of...
Crane it is.
Yeah, it's...
Because it could be...
We could turn in a good way.
We have the possibility to turn in a good way.
But obviously, as, you know, we all know human beings are...
The human being itself is outraged for more power and more this and more that.
It's a creative...
It's a very creative creature.
Yeah, and it's...
Worldwide.
Yeah.
And so it's almost like a...
You know, I reflect society in the future.
Is it going to be like super modern and super clean and super this and that?
Or is it going to be like, you know, $100 for a bottle of water, you know, and people die in the street and only the rich people will make it?
Or, you know, it's...
It's at large, but I mean, it's a little bit...
And post-society is a kind of reflection about this, the song itself.
It's a little bit kind of Mad Max references in it.
But...
And also, We Are Connected, it's a song which is more related about the tragic death that happened when we did the Horror Fest a few years ago.
And there was this guy who actually was the main guy behind the festival.
And he worked really hard for four days in a row, like, not having any sleep.
His name was Corey Mitchell.
So we end up, like, finishing the festival and taking our plane home.
And he...
Yeah, he died.
And, you know, it was weird.
And so we were taking the plane.
And as we were taking off, you know, I had this...
I start thinking about that song.
It inspired you, right?
Yeah, yeah.
The mortality?
Yeah.
And fall is more about...
More about...
When the winter's coming, I don't know, fall season, but I mean, the whole process of dying, you know, or getting...
You know, it's getting cold outside.
And, you know, in Canada, we're kind of like, okay, fall is coming, winter's coming.
Get inside your home.
And then...
Bunker down?
Yeah, fun is over or something.
It is a kind of mood of...
But actually, when I'm doing songs, you know, I refer a lot about, you know, from the music itself.
You know, I...
I never do...
I never do a text and then give it to the guys and say, hey, do music about this.
It's much more like the opposite.
I get influenced by the music.
And then...
Because, you know, singing and...
Or talking at large, it's music itself.
It's notes, you know?
And if you want...
If there's a, you know, a section of the music that is punching, like, bam, bam, it's more like, okay, it's aggressive.
It's time to shout, you know, the whole anger in you.
And so the tone of your voice will change because of that part of music.
If it's more like, you know, spacey or whatever, I'll write a text about something more going this way.
I follow the music all the time.
But you know what the beauty of that is?
Is you still have the band dynamic creatively.
Yeah.
You're still organically still tight and united.
And I think that's why it resonates on this EP.
Yeah.
I mean, the new blood in the band, Rocky and Chewy, they bring a lot to the new...
the new lineup of the band.
Unison.
Yeah, the new blood.
Unison.
Yeah, the unison of it.
Rocky's tone is huge, you know, and Chewy's guitar is out there.
I can see when you're discussing the band unit, I can see that you still have that...
I can see that you still have that excitement.
Not only the joy, but you're excited still, like back 30-something years ago, which means all motors are running again.
Oh, yeah, definitely.
Which is good for us.
Yeah.
Definitely, you know, I enjoy doing this.
And I feel really lucky doing this still, you know, because many bands have different stories.
It's really hard to keep going and keep going.
And, you know, I feel lucky to travel the world, meet my fans everywhere, and, you know, it's a special kind of life, you know, doing this.
And I feel really lucky.
You have been an ambassador to so many generations, not only of extreme music fans, but the fact that you've been so diverse as an artist.
BoyBot has branched out creatively and has touched so many people.
One of the things that you mentioned with this record is your reflection of the society that we are today.
Unlike the artists of today, which are focused on financial gain, on fucking, you know, TMZ, fucking Pro-Town, on promotion and fame, you have stayed consistent with being a human, providing real music, regardless of what the demographics are.
You have ventured on your own to do what you want, and you have given your fans such an abundance of creativity where they could feast on whatever you want.
Post Society is out now.
BoyBot is on tour throughout the United States.
Make sure you get out.
Final statement.
You're in America.
See you there.
Thank you.
All right.
That was the legendary snake of Voivoda.
Warren Payne, Voivoda.
Voivod, stronger than ever.
Fucking really just pushing it out.
As I mentioned, they are on tour right now.
Make sure you pick up Post Society.
That is the new EP off of Voivoda.
All right.
I want to thank Snake for taking the time to chat with me there.
I also want to thank the legendary and the true outlaw, Scott Wino-Weinrich of The Obsessed.
And I want to also thank Alexandra Vera for just really...
I got a text from my she-wolf.
She's like, all right, enough already.
Get over with that.
Chester, is it wrong for me just to be dealing with that?
I mean, am I wrong?
Is it just...
Isn't that a hot fantasy?
Yeah.
You're going a little overboard though, man.
You need to work that out.
You might need to speak to the staff therapist on that.
I think I might need to grip it.
There might be some, you know, childhood memories or lack of that you're harboring, you know?
I think I need to just really bond with myself and exercise this demon.
Yeah.
With that, Los Angeles, the United States, everything is out in the open.
Everything is in your face.
It cannot be denied.
What are we going to do?
What can we do?
Where are we going as a nation?
Where are we going in this society?
I don't know.
Chester, do you know?
No idea.
You know what I'm going to do?
It doesn't look good though.
You know what I'm going to do?
I'm going to stockpile ammunition.
I'm going to stockpile books.
I'm going to stockpile water and I'm going to go get a burrito.
With that, I'm going to also throw out the fucking anthem to what's going on right now.
What are the projections as we speak right now, Chester, in California?
California...
Yeah, give us the percentages there.
Clinton has 61.8% and...
And Sanders has 37.1%.
How is that possible?
California is the most liberal, the most fucking ahead of its time state in the union.
Clinton's winning San Francisco, which just seriously does not make sense.
Okay, with that, we're going to end...
Is it just me?
Is it just me?
Seriously?
Okay, and then you wonder why I'm fucking fixated on this fantasy with the teacher.
Reality is just too brutal.
Alright, with that, we're going to leave the show with the track from Voivod off their record entitled, Fuck Off and Die.
Thank you for listening.
See ya!!
I can't wait to see what I'm doing.
Running from day to day just to let it go.
Come on, move your assholes.
Stand up.
Right now.
Get up.
I've gotta go man, did you understand I think it's the only way to win.
I'm wasting your money in this clay oven show.
You're the first who will be burning.
You can see the storm, time to go down.
That's how I'm doing it.
Get up!
I've got a command, did you understand?
As a king it's the only way to win Waiting, running, in this flame-mation You're the first who will be burning You can see the storm, time to go down That's why I'm screaming Stand up!
Right now!
Get up!
No pleasure, the prince comes down here No doubt, no doubt the man is the pooper And you're a fucker and don't believe it I say fuck off and die!
Fuck off and die!
I've got a drum out of stone Affiliated in the air The vibration is in my bones And I keep the trail The adventure has just begun No religion in this place Stand up!
