We're ready.
Is it on?
Can you hear me?
Yes.
Welcome, everyone, to the exchange.
My name is Earlene Anthony, and I'm a part of Drama Stage Kumwan Theater Recovery Company.
We're located here in the Skid Row area.
We've been around for five or six years, and we want to welcome you to one of our events today.
This is the first gospel brunch that we are presenting, hopefully to be one of many.
Today we're going to be featuring Isaac Clay, and he's going to be doing songs from his one-man show, Heaven Can't Wait No More.
And I'm going to have the pleasure to introduce him.
First, we have a few announcements that I want to let you know about.
On Tuesday, July the 26th, at 7 p.m., Dr. Mongo, he's in the audience back there, give us a wave.
He's going to be doing an event at Fernando's, and Fernando's is just across the street from here, probably one block down.
On Thursday, July the 28th, from 5 to 6 p.m., we have a group from St. Mark's Church.
Students are going to be visiting from out of state.
I'm not sure which state they're coming from this time.
From Minnesota.

Thank you.
And when they come, they like to come down, visit Drama Stage and see what we're doing.
And also, they're going to be coming with hygiene kits to pass out to the community residents here.
That'll be on Thursday from 5 to 6.
On Monday, August the 8th, from 8 to 9, we're going to be beginning a Qumran Report internet radio show, and this will be a new event for Drama Stage.
And it also will be online.
It's going to be a live show where you can call in.
That'll be on Monday, August the 8th.
And on Sunday, August the 14th, we're going to have another gospel brunch featuring Jamila.
She's a great gospel singer.
Some of you probably heard her sing before.
She will be here on August the 14th for our second gospel brunch.
Isaac Clay is an actor.
Singer, writer, and poet.
But above all, he wants me to tell you, he's a child of God.
Isaac started his career in Chicago when he was the first out of about 4,000 people that showed up to do an audition for the Chicago cast of the Broadway musical Hair.
And yes, believe it or not, at that time, Isaac had hair.
Laughter.
He wanted me to say that.
Laughter.
He was chosen along with another black gentleman and three black ladies to go to Tokyo, Japan, where they did the show in Japanese.
He wanted me to do some Japanese, but I forgot what he said to say.
Laughter.

And I hope you all will come back when I do the whole play, but today we're doing the music and this first song is called From the Mountain.
From the Mountain I was hiding from the world that I was lonely and afraid, and afraid.
There was thunder on the mountain.
There was lightning from the angry skies above.
Just as if the Lord was singing to the people, where's the love, where's the love?
From the mountain, from the mountain, he was asking, Where's the love?
Where is the love?
What has happened to my children?
Have they turned away from me?
From the mountain, from the mountain, he was asking, Where is the love?
Why this brother, killing brother, that was never meant to be?
You have parsoned and buried the fairy tree.
I see a man alive.
I see a man alive.
I see a man alive.
Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh You must go down from the mountain, tell the people They broke my heart You must go down from the mountain, tell the people They broke my heart The next song, I get to be real silly on this song.
I like acting silly.
Some friends say, acting?
No, you act like that all the time.
It's called, Hold On, Just a Baby.
Lord, I'm just a baby.
Please teach me how to talk.
Lord, I'm just a baby.
Lord, I'm just a baby.
Please teach me how to talk.
My first word will be daddy.
My first step to your heart.
Lord, I'm just a baby.
And we have a baby's tongue.
I'm still a baby, Lord Jesus.
Even though the world says I'm a man.
I'm still a baby, Lord Jesus.
Even though the world says I'm a man.
You know that I want to grow.
And with your help, I know I can.
Lord, I'm just a baby.
So tiny and afraid.
I cry when I get hungry.
And when I'm disobeyed.
Please feed me.
Lord, I'm just a baby.
Lord, I'm just a baby with a brand new thirsty soul.
I'm still a baby, Lord Jesus.
Even though the world says I'm a man.
You know that I want to grow.
I want to roll.
And when you're here, I know I can.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you.
Tell me where can I go?
There's no place I can see.
Where to go, where to go?
Every door is closed to me.
To the left, to the right, it's the same in every land.
There is nowhere to go, and it's me who should know.
Won't you please understand?
There's a power in me.
There's a power in this world and in this universe that's so beautiful and so strong it will never, never die.
There's a power in this world and in this universe that if you had all the money there ever was or ever will be, this power you never could afford to buy.
They killed the dreamer, but they can't kill the dreamer.
There's a power that's in this country, in this state, in this city, in this neighborhood, and in this very room that no matter what its opposers do or say will be around forever because this power is definitely here to stay.
They killed the dreamer, but they can't kill the dreamer.
There's a power that's gonna love you all today and in me, this very second that's been here very long, but because of the confusions and misunderstandings of this life that's just now beginning to come out very, very strong, they killed the dreamer, but they can't kill the dreamer.
43 years ago they shot down in cold blood a man who contained a great deal of this power.
Because they couldn't stand to hear the truth, and because they were weaklings and cowards, they killed the dreamer, but they can't kill the dreamer.
He told us he had seen the mountain, people didn't believe him, laughed at him, said he was a troublemaker, was messing up the rich folks' money, so he had to go!
But something happened to him in his own senses, and brothers turned their backs on him and said he was a crazy so-and-so, they killed the dreamer, but they can't kill the dreamer.
He said in regards to the mountaintop that, I may not get down with you, which gave us all deep-rooted feelings in our hearts, that he was gonna die, but the spirit of truth in him was so strong and so holy, he made the leaders of America stand up and admit they had told many a lie, they killed the dreamer, but they can't kill the dreamer.
Well, I was up in heaven last night, talking to Jesus, and he said, Isaac, here's what I want you to do.
Tell the people that my new prophets are taking what Dr. King left off, and every word they're gonna say is true, because the words won't be from them, they'll be from me, they'll be words from life, they'll say what they want to live, but they have to wake up now, because if they wait until they die, I'll ignore their after-the-grave tears.
They killed the dreamer, but they can't kill the dreamer.
Jesus says, tell the people, Isaac, that yes, I know who took my little King Junior's life, I know who hired him, I know his children, and I know his wife.
They killed the dreamer, but they can't kill the dreamer.
Jesus said, yes, tell the people that my little King Junior was my spiritual container.
And all my new prophets are picking up the piss.
So forget about your different colors, because you're all part of the same race, the spiritual race.
They killed the dreamer, but they can't kill the dreamer.
Jesus said, tell the people that I was standing there, right there, the day the man pulled out the trigger and shot my humble servant down.
But it was allowed to happen, so they would believe 43 years later, in preparation for eternity, and the spirit would again very strongly come around.
They killed the dreamer, but they can't kill the dreamer.
Because as Martin Luther King Jr. used to say, everything that's reality now is first a dream.
And that dream which is reality is Jesus Christ.
And that reality goes on and on and on and on.
They kill the dreamer, but no matter what they do or what they say, they can never, ever, ever kill the dreamer.
Now I know where to go, where my folks proudly stand.
Let me go, let me go, to that precious promised land.
No more left, no more right.
Lift your head and see the light.
I am proud, can't you see?
For at last I am free.
No more wandering for me.
No more wandering for me.
There's a question to discuss with our folks' minds.
What does God do now?
Had an election in Chicago.
It was not so long ago.
The winner was a black man, as you may already know.
Now many other white people hated his class, just because he's getting black.
And I can never wonder as I sing this song, what if God was black?
What if God was black?
Would he make any difference to you?
What if God was black?
Would you rather go to hell than to have him save you?
What if God was black?
Would he raise his people to ground in the haze?
What if God was black?
Would he make him as great?
Now with all the black people out there, God wants us to be more than fair.
So tomorrow if things were to turn around, would you want all the whites to get out of town?
There's a lot of good things to do, there's a lot of good white folks everywhere.
And God's peace and love you can all share.
So don't you think that all white people are mad, and the good we say would make us all sad.
What if God was white?
Would he make any difference to you?
What if God was black?
Would you rather go to hell than to have him save you?
What if God was black?
Would he raise his people to ground in the haze?
What if God was black?
Would he make him as bright as the sun?
We don't need no more hate in the world.
We don't need no more hate in the world.
Thank you Lord.
Thank you Lord.
This is a song I wrote.
I went to a church one time.
And I saw something going on at this church.
And I had to write a song about it.
I had to.
Well you see daddy you're a preacher With the very last congregation But you see I don't go by the word of God When you can't decry situations You got old sections running all through the church And you're hires to our law Well you just better stop and check yourself Until you own to the law And you say that being gay is alright At least that's what you'll hear But have you ever really cared?
Well you see daddy you're a preacher And you check out the Savior's prayer You're proud, you're proud You're a people of love You say that you're a preacher But you're nothing but a clown Give me the money, give me the money, give me the money, buddy Give me the money, give me the money, give me the money, buddy You got wives sleeping with husbands That belong to somebody else And you've got yourself a few boyfriends That you're keeping up on the shelf You're strong and people that pay their tithes Put them down on your dead row Yet you say that you're a holy man But ain't that not a holy joke?
That's not a holy joke Now tell me I'm judging you But that's the excuse you use Whatever you feel in your evil heart Got a word you want to abuse You're proud, you're proud You're a people of love You say that you're a preacher But you're nothing but a clown Give me the money, give me the money, give me the money, honey Give me the money, give me the money, give me the money, honey Don't give me that jazz about to eat his own I don't know if it feels good doing that God created this world This perfect and holy life And if God wanted me to sleep with him This you can believe And if God would be instead of Adam and Eve It would have been Adam and Eve You're a clown, you're a clown You're a people of love You say that you're a preacher But you're nothing but a clown You say that you have a right to be a man So then you have a right to be a man So then you have a right to be a man So then you have a right to be a man So then you have a right to be a man So then you have a right to be a man So then you have a right to be a man So then you have a right to be a man So then you have a right to be a man So then you have a right to be a man So then you have a right to be a man So then you have a right to be a man So then you have a right to be a man So then you have a right to be a man So then you have a right to be a man Oh God, in the name of the Lord, help you achieve victory.
Take me to this old bridge and don't get mad at me.
God will help you bring the chains and be there as a love.
And if the life he made for you, don't get one for love.
Don't be a clown, don't be a clown, don't be a big old clown.
If you really go by the word of God, he will never let you down.
Don't be a clown, don't be a clown, don't be a big old clown.
If you really go by the word of God, he will never let you down.
He will never let you down.
He will never let you down.
Praise the Lord.
Hallelujah.
This song is a song about Sunday morning Christians.
And I wrote it after going to several churches.
So what was happening in church?
Good morning, Sunday morning Christians.
How was your week without the Lord?
See you back in church today.
Hands together and you had to pray.
Still you're living in a worldly way.
Good morning, Sunday morning Christians.
Good morning, Sunday morning Christians.
Now let's get on down and tell the truth.
You don't think God's got enough for you.
But that works for all you do.
My, that's where we're living in a zoo.
Good morning, Sunday morning Christians.
Now you know when you're harsh and it all weeks long.
You didn't invite the Lord into your home.
You didn't take him anywhere.
You didn't take him to church.
But you say that God unknowingly checks.
But when you get in trouble, the first thing you say is, Oh God, please help me to find my way.
I'll give you a good life.
I won't say no more.
When your trouble is over, your memory is cold.
Jesus, wait!
Good morning, Easter morning Christians.
How was your year without the Lord?
You're teaching here with your new clothes on.
What's the love you're putting heavy at your home?
You ought to get really nice and lukewarm.
Good morning, Easter morning Christians.
Good morning, Christmas morning Christians.
How was your Easter without the Lord?
Did you bring all the gifts that you desired?
Did you watch out for hell's affine?
Did you lift the Lord before your spirit retires?
Good morning, Christmas morning Christians.
Good morning, Easter morning Christians.
Good morning, Sunday morning Christians.
Hallelujah!
We're going to take this morning here.

He's got a house, I mean a huge house.
And we'll be, he got a big pool table in this room where we would rest.
It was still the home for the instruments and everything.
And he had a drum set in there.
He had his electric piano in there, and a keyboard, something like that we called it.
And Aaron, the drums are always, Aaron would come in, he would watch us rest.
He was just a little tiny type.
He'd just jump on the drums, start making noise.
You know, I'm trying to be polite.
I'm in Al's house.
Al's mother would always give me a nice meal.
I'm trying to be nice.
I'd say, okay, okay, that's cute, that's cute, that's cute, that's real cute.
He can play a little bit, okay.
Bye, go run around a little, to your ba-ba-ba, thank you.
He'd go away for about two minutes, and come back, jump on the drums, and make a little ba-ba-ba.
Nice kid, nice kid, go away, go away, go away.
He just kept on coming back.
He would, he just refused to go away.
So, here he is today.
Here I am.
How you doing with school, Aaron?
Huh?
Well, you know what I mean.
Hello, summertime.
What's what?
What kind of grades you getting?
A lot of college.
Huh?
A little bit.
That's good.
You know what?
Highland, my guitarist is not here today, but Highland noticed something about Aaron recently, because we were playing together for a while, and it was a nice guy.
He was taking over the drum line a little bit.
Ah.
Huh?
And Aaron is improving constantly, so I respect him, Highland.
Thank you, Aaron.
This is Alan Michelle Mark.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Now, I did my one day play at the Bushyville Theater, and I had quite a few musicians at the Bushyville.
And Alan was in Washington, and I was in the hotel playing an instrument.
After that show, all those guys went away.
Alan came up to me and said, we're going to do great things together.
That was 19, and we've been together ever since, a long time.
And he's a, his church is filled.
Was there any other church, Aaron?
No.
No?
What church?
Ah, it's Macedonia.
It's a very Baptist church.
OK, it's Macedonia.
Macedonia.
It's a very Baptist church.
He's the building that's in that church.
He's an incredible, incredible musician.
God has blessed him and me to work together in a way that's not short of miraculous.
I'm constantly being fed songs.
I don't think we're going to give God the glory.
Constantly.
Sometimes I'll say, hold up, Lord, hold up, hold up.
And then I go up to Al, and I start singing a song before I get to the second verse, and my kid, he's got the whole song.
And it's exactly the way I heard it in my head.
Now, I've tried that with some other musicians, and they be off in some kind of way, but not Al.
It's absolutely exactly what I'm hearing.
Great arranger.
Incredible arranger.
He knows when I got too many words, and when sometimes I got too many words, but he likes the message, he works it out.
So I'm very grateful to Al.
But Al has helped me not just professionally, but he's helped me in ways when I didn't have a place to stay.
Twice.
Nothing like him to tell people this, but twice he's helped me when I didn't have a place to stay.
And he didn't judge me.
He didn't judge me.
He didn't look at me and say, you're broke, you're down, you know, and you depend on me.
He treated me like a brother.
One day I said to him, I said, Al, you know, you help me so much.
He said, no, we help each other.
I'll never forget that.
Because people can put you down when you're down.
I said, you need me.
But he didn't do that.
He said, we help each other.
So I'm very grateful to him for all he's done for me.
I remember one day when I was wearing that Friday's TGIF, and the Lord told me to go in the corner.
He said, you remember Robert Townsend from that movie, Hollywood Shuffle?
I said, yes, I do.
He said, you remember what the LA Times said about Robert Townsend's movie, Hollywood Shuffle?
I said, yes, I do remember that review.
I didn't like that review.
It said, Hollywood Shuffle, that's the movie, some people say it's a takeoff on temptations.
Y'all saw that movie, right?
I've been thinking about Hollywood Shuffle.
Oh, I'm the only one in the hood that saw Hollywood Shuffle.
Anyway, it's a movie that Robert Townsend wrote.
It's a takeoff on the delts of temptations.
But anyway, he saw it, right?
Okay, who else saw it?
Hollywood Shuffle.
So y'all don't want to talk about it.
Never saw it.
Anyway, the LA Times, the world review said, it was brainless fun.
Brainless fun.
Talk about it.
I must not have a brain because I like it.
And I was like, the Lord said, you remember Robert Townsend in that movie?
He would just grab a piece of paper, toilet paper, anything, and keep going.
And write a song.
He said, I want you to grab a napkin.
So I was at work.
He said, I know my words.
He said, do your work.
I said, to the Lord.
He said, well, it's slow right now.
Go in the corner.
I grabbed a napkin.
I wrote this song.
And this song, he told me, this song will be a blessing.
Everybody who hears this song will be blessed mightily.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
This time the legend is right and it's way This is your last chance for eternal life The sin is wrong but the Holy Bible is right Our spirit will always contrive and mend Please let me come and heal your land All of the hell and the lake of fire The rock on the wall, down, down, down The fire on the highway Eternity is on the horizon Judgement day is on the way Eternity is on the horizon It's time to let Jesus Christ have his way Tell them that I love them Tell them I'm coming back soon The Lord says, Son, please do me a favor Let the body of Christ know it's time to get ready For the great day of the Lord Tell the unseen that I love them too And I don't want to see them go through tribulation Tell them to just look around the world today And see what's going on in each and every act La la la la la la la la la la la la la la La la la la la la la la la la la la la la The end of the world is coming soon The end of the world is coming soon The star in me, the prophet of doom The end of the world If my people were called to the cross Who are called by my name To humble themselves from the grave And tread from their wicked ways I will come and heal their land The end of the world There's one name on the heaven by which a man can receive salvation And that name is not Buddha, not Allah It's Jesus The end of the world I am the way, the truth, and the life And no man cometh unto the Father but by me The end of the world is coming soon Thank you You can't understand the spiritual world, I think, with a natural manner I got a story I wish you know It started at a point in time God kicked the devil out of heaven But he sure got out of line Along with the devil went the fallen angels And that's where it's in again And the devil started fighting and he's sick, sick of man He tried to mess up God's holy land Can't understand the spiritual world I think it with a natural manner Not the people they were fighting against But the people of America You can't understand the spiritual world I think it with a natural manner Not the people they were fighting against But the people of America Spirit's in place, spirit's on the way And the best spirits are everywhere And sometimes it's hard to tell Cause what you're thinking, girl, just might be that But we're confused, heaven will tell And the Word of God always guide you You'll never be you, it's strange You will find as you study You'll be ready on the judgment day Just a man in a man's right mind Just a man in a man's right mind Just a man in a man's right mind Just a man in a man's right mind Just a man in a man's right mind Just a man in a man's right mind Just a man in a man's right mind Just a man in a man's right mind Just a man in a man's right mind Just a man in a man's right mind Just a man in a man's right mind Just a man in a man's right mind Just a man in a man's right mind Just a man in a man's right mind Just a man in a man's right mind Just a man in a man's right mind Just a man in a man's right mind Just a man in a man's right mind Just a man in a man's right mind Just a man in a man's right mind It's not the people that we're fighting against, but the people of the very kind.
That is the way to see right into a man.
Yes, I know it is true.
See the devil come count as the angel of light.
To deceive and destroy you.
And I'm holding on to the word of God.
I'm letting it away from you.
And you will find as you put it to the test.
That the holy Bible is true.
See the fingers blasting me.
So therefore they never fail.
Well, as long as you have the wisdom of God, you will be able to stand.
And if you try to paladinize without the help of God.
You will find that you drive a pig.
You'll defeat it before you start.
You can't understand the spiritual world.
By thinking with a natural mind.
It's not the people that we're fighting against.
But the people of the very kind.
Don't you all know?
You can't understand the spiritual world.
By thinking with a natural mind.
It's not the people that we're fighting against.
But it's demons of every kind.
Lord help us please.
You know what?
You gotta watch out for that old devil.
The devil can be so sneaky sometimes.
I mean he...
You know we all like to laugh and have a good time, right?
But you know as the body of Christ.
We gotta watch the kind of people we get into.
Because the devil can make you laugh.
You should be there.
He can make you laugh.
While he's sneaking up on you.
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
The devil can make you laugh.
While he's sneaking up on you.
He can make you tickle your body bones.
Oh, he just won't leave you alone.
No, he won't.
Watch it.
The devil can make you laugh.
While he's sneaking up on you.
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
The devil can make you laugh.
While he's sneaking up on you.
See?
He can make you tickle your body bones.
Oh, he just won't leave you alone.
No, he won't.
Watch it now.
I was a talking doctor, straight-hearted.
Just minding my own business.
And I went past the dress shop.
And the dresser was talking to me.
I didn't laugh.
And the dresser had a big mouth.
The dresser kept saying, Bobby!
Bobby!
And I told the dresser, Shh!
Shut up, dresser!
My husband told me, I've been doing too much shopping and too much dropping.
But the dresser had a big mouth.
And the dresser kept saying, Bobby!
Bobby!
My husband told me, don't be deciding his name to no one.
Watch it.
But the devil came along.
The devil came along and he pushed me.
He pushed me in the middle of the middle.
Whoo!
Cut out, devil.
And the devil made me laugh.
And the devil made me sign my husband's name to that check.
The devil can't make you laugh.
Oh, I'm sneaking up on you.
Oh, the devil can't make you laugh.
Oh, I'm sneaking up on you.
You can take a two-year-old funny bone.
Oh, they just won't leave you alone.
No, they ain't gonna watch you now.
This lady, she's gonna have a body study.
Now, she told her son, John, she said, John, baby, now I got 15 days to come over to your house tonight for a body study.
Now, last time, baby, I had the lady from the bathroom.
I had to make some fresh cookies.
Now, all the ladies love the way I bake my cookies.
But, baby, you ate up all the cookies.
You said, I'm sorry, mama.
I'm sorry, mama.
I didn't mean to eat up all the cookies.
She said, well, baby, what did I tell you?
You feel terrible.
You say, you didn't even have any devil.
You didn't even have any devil.
So she said, now, baby, I baked some fresh cookies.
I'm gonna put you in a cookie jar.
Put them in a cup.
And the labels are coming off the back of the stuff.
And seven, you get a shower.
So don't touch the cookies.
I promise, mama.
I promise, mama.
I will not touch the cookies.
I promise, mama.
I will not touch the cookies.
Now, what did I tell you to do?
I said, get these behind me, y'all.
Get these back.
That's my baby.
That's my baby.
I said, I don't want to work.
I said, hang on for work.
Where did you get the cup?
She told her, baby, you ate up all the cookies.
You put down the cookie jar.
You probably took the cup off.
You put down the cookie jar.
And this is how all the cookies will go.
She said, Johnny, come here, baby.
What happened, baby?
You ate up all the cookies.
She said, I'm sorry, mama.
I'm sorry.
You should have made me do it.
Then I said, tell them get these behind me, y'all.
Mom, I said, get these behind me, y'all.
You got to have me and push me right into the cookie jar.
You never can make it fast while it's sneaking up on you.
You never can make it fast while it's sneaking up on you.
You never can make it fast while it's sneaking up on you.
You're gonna be jerking off on your bones Boy, you're just a bone Give me one more Oh, you want to watch it now How do you know?
How do you know you're a general Christian?
How do you know that you know, that you know, that you know, that you know You are a general Christian?
I'm gonna tell you I'm gonna tell you, sir When the bastards come around your church You put in five dollars And take four dollars and send the bastards out of the basket You're a general Christian Trust me How do you know you're a general Christian?
When the pastor's singing you out for prayer And the pastor's saying, young man The Lord is calling you And you jump up and tell him, pastor I'm so happy because I've been praying my prayers I've been asking the Lord to deliver me And the pastor's saying, young man, come down to the altar And you run down to the altar And you act and you hit a shirt pocket And your five dollar bag of weed Comes out of the altar and walk right there in front of Jesus and everybody, trust me, you'll get no Christian.
How do you know you'll get no Christian?
You're outside smoking a cigarette, and you're in the choir, you're in the chair, and you're singing a solo.
You're outside church, got your roll phone and everything.
They're buffing the way.
Buffing the way.
And you're crying, you're like, come on, come on, we're getting ready to sing a song, I wanna come on, put that cigarette out, we shouldn't be smoking anyway.
You're going, you're gonna sing a song, you're like, but look, but look, you just, you choke, you can't sing, you say, and take the devil away, sing this song.
You'll get no Christian, trust me.
How do you know you'll get no Christian?
Right after church, you go to the bar, and that's one of them, oh, see that window right there, open window?
And the people come from church, they die, and they're looking so holy, they're walking past the bar.
And it is a sin, ain't that Susan Jackson in the bar, drinking some scotch?
Susan Jackson, come here, come here.
She runs, they got a drink in my hand, this is gonna set her up, got a bottle right there in the bar.
Walk out, get that heavy bag.
Susan Jackson, get this guy out of the house, oh Lord, you're drinking some scotch.
She said, it's okay, baby, it's Christian Brothers, you'll get no Christian.
Hell can't make you laugh, oh, I'll be sneaking up on you.
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, hell can't make you laugh, oh, I'll be sneaking up on you.
If you get you to your funny bone, oh, I just won't leave you alone, no, you won't find your man.
Praise God.
All right.
Thank you.
You know what?
These guys are drug dealers.
They've been selling drugs.
All of his life.
Somebody warned him, told drug dealers, said, man, if you don't stop selling drugs in my territory, I'm gonna break your wife and daughter in two.
And he freaked out, he said, wow, he had never prayed before in his life, but he heard about this person called Jesus.
He went home and said, God, I don't know if you even listen to me, I've been selling drugs all my life, but that's all I know is drugs.
I don't know how to do no regular job, God.
But one thing I do know is that I love my wife, I love my daughter.
I know it's time for a change.
Looking back over my life, thinking of the things I've done, and knowing that the rapture is soon to come.
It's getting ready for heaven.
I'm finally home.
There was a time in my life when everybody I knew thought it was so cool to commit sin.
Fornication, smoking dope, and getting drunk was the lifestyle we had.
Most of my friends, we played the game of life with egos and pride, not thinking for a moment that God we should abide.
Breaking his commandments as much as we could.
Through close-knit, we had the lives and hearts we hadn't understood.
There was a time in our lives when Satan had his way with a lot of us.
We'll fight, steal, and lie every day.
Lord, help us, we will love.
Cuss and fuss, like our bad men on the loose.
But say what came to mind?
The devil with his tricks was right on time.
Determined to live in sin, do as we please.
Anyone trying to correct us will end up through the knees.
Transitions, our hearts going through transitions.
Transitions, our times going through transitions.
Transitions, our souls naked before the eyes of God.
Transitions, our souls naked before the eyes of God.
The spirit is willing, but for the flesh, it's too hard.
Living in this new millennium, two words mostly condemn life.
Jesus and repentance, reflecting the sound of tears.
So, my sister, So, my sister, So, my sister, So, my sister, So, God's children, So, God's children, So, God's children, it's time like never before they really trusted.
it's time like never before they really trusted.
it's time like never before they really trusted.
it's a new time in our lives it's a new time in our lives God will have his way with God will have his way with a lot of us.
a lot of us.
a lot of us.
So it's safe and happy no more to fight.
we will fight first of us forever and ever praising the Lord spiritual unity in one accord the devil defeated him out of the way so come on everybody let's rejoice in praising the Lord transitions our hearts going through transitions transitions our times going through transitions transitions our souls naked before the eyes of God the Spirit's relief praise God!

God looks on the heart.
A man looks on the appearance.
When we're gonna wake up.
When we're gonna wake up.
God looks on the heart.
A man looks on the appearance.
When we're gonna wake up.
When we're gonna wake up.
Ever since the beginning of time.
Man has tried to understand his life.
And since the mind is where the life first began.
Let's go back to the start again.
Start with the ABC's of it.
And try to control.
For the devil's tricks will do the fast.
Then we can do and the holy spirit will do the rest.
God looks on the heart.
A man looks on the appearance.
When are we gonna wake up?
When are we gonna wake up?
God looks on the heart.
A man looks on the heart.
A man looks on the heart.
It's only an appearance of when we're gonna wake up, y'all, when we're gonna wake up.
It's wrong to judge a person by their looks, their clothes, their weight, or their pocketbook.
If you do, I say shame on you for all of your little details.
Favor is deceitful and beauty is vain, but a God-fearing woman will enhance your name.
She'll lift you up each and every day and never leave you ashamed of me.
Child, let me tell you.
Now, Betty, you brought this boy home about a year ago now.
Now, I don't mean no harm or nothing like that.
See?
How can I?
How can I put this as gently as possible?
Well, the boy's black, okay?
Our boy's black.
I mean, he's a nice little boy.
He's black and he's kind of chubby, too, see?
Now, everybody in this family is thin and light-skinned, see?
Thin and light.
Now, we black people, too, because even on the grid, we look black, sir.
Now, can we kind of mix some mulatto and creole and all that?
So, yo, you should bring home this chocolate child.
Now, I mean, the boy's so black.
He went to nightclub.
He found a girl.
He found a girl for not showing up.
Now, that's black.
The boy's black.
The boy's so black when he was born and the doctor smacked him.
He caused an eclipse all over the world.
The boy's black.
I mean, he's born black and he's fat, too.
He was so fat he came over.
One time he was a dime in the chair.
That's a little thin dime, you know?
In the chair.
The boy's so fat.
He sat on a dime and squeezed out 30 cents.
The boy's fat and he's black.
Now, see?
Everybody in this family is proud, see?
So, we go walk down the street.
All the neighbors say, Whoo, what a pretty fat boy.
I'm gonna praise him, everybody's gonna live in light skin.
Live in light skin.
So I told her, I said, I'm sorry baby, but you can't bring that child up in his family.
He gotta go.
And she tried to say, mama, he's nice to me mama.
He treat me like a gentleman.
He open the door for me mama.
And he never curses me.
And he's polite and he respects my opinion.
I don't care, I don't care, I don't care.
My boy's black.
And we want a thin light skin baby.
And she didn't want to give him up.
The whole family from New York, from everywhere, flew in, we had a family meeting.
Said, we the boy in black.
We all got our favorite.
He black, he black, he black, he black, he black, he black.
The family, she's a DJ, okay, okay, okay.
So she let the door open, she told him bye.
Catch you later, goodbye.
Don't let the door knob hit you.
So then we told her, now why don't you go back with Junior.
Now see Junior is just tall, thin, and light skin.
And see all the women fuck love Junior cause they want the house to eat.
Maybe feed the baby.
Maybe give him pork chops and potatoes and bread.
Now I'm gonna tell you, you don't gain a pound.
Oh Lord have mercy.
And he thin and light skin.
And we want a little light skin baby, see.
So Junior, now she said, what's up with my mama?
Junior hit me upside the head with a, almost one time he was about to hit me with a baseball bat and he hit me with a fist.
And she said, now baby, you just gotta be a little patient with Junior.
Cause you know, when you're pretty like that, you gotta make an extra room for you.
So cause he thin, light skin, see my mama, he gonna kill me.
I said, no, no baby, now I told you we want a light skin baby.
Now go back with Junior.
I said, but my mama, we don't wanna hear you go back with Junior.
So she went back with Junior.
And how can I, how can I tell y'all this when I end this funny story.
I hate to tell y'all what happened, is that we're, well what happened is, they had an argument.
And Junior, he killed her.
He killed her.
Yes he did.
He killed her dead.
But you know what, she was pregnant.
And see the baby came out.
And the baby lived.
So the moral of the story is, we still got our thin, light skin baby.
Yes we do, great love.
We got a thin, light skin baby. .
God looks on the heart.
So man looks on the appearance.
When we gonna wake up. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
I turned to him and said, this is a small example of what hell is like.
They went to appreciate him about that comment.
They said, oh man, we don't want to hear nothing about no hell.
Besides, if I go to hell, I'll be too busy shaking hands with all my friends to worry about the temperature.
And so I said, you know what, I'd rather that you would see Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and get born again.
But if you're just concerned about the temperature of hell, if that is what gets you started on the right road, then at least it'll be a start.
I know a place that wasn't made for man.
But it's a place that it had a man.
In this place that is called hell.
Unsaved souls screaming hell.
Everywhere you lead, that's a thing of the team.
Eternally without a really.
You can take all the dirt and the truth if you think it's not so bad.
Hell is hot, hot, hot.
It's a very, very hot, hot, hot.
Hell is hot, hot, hot.
It's a very, very hot, hot, hot.
Hell is hot, hot, hot.
It's a very, very hot, hot, hot.
It's so hot, so hot.
It's so hot, so hot.
Hell is hot.
Shhh.
Shhh.
Erupting the capitals.
And stirring coals.
Nothing compared.
To the hell of man.
To the hell of man.
Oh.
Baddy and baddy.
Baddy and baddy.
Protecting Jesus.
This torture you're adding.
A little hell to be that way.
In the name of Jesus.
Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh It's so very, very hot, hot, hot.
It's so hot, it's so hot, it's so hot, it's so hot.
Hell is hot.
See that man over there?
He's on his way to hell.
See that lady over there?
She's on her way to hell.
See that child right there?
She's on her way to hell.
See that boy over there?
He's on his way to hell.
Somebody help me please.
Help me please.
Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh I have overjoyed to be in the perfect will of God today.
I'm sitting here to inform you all that he's definitely on his way.
He's on his way back to this world in preparation for judging throughout all creation, every man, woman, boy and girl.
Now some people might say to me, Ah man, I've heard all about this dude called Jesus.
And maybe there's something to it, I don't know.
But I'll tell you what, I think it's a close call.
If you keep trying to rationalize it, you just might find yourself trying to rationalize it in a hill.
But the Savior of this world is offering us all something that is totally beautiful and great.
He's offering us real life eternity.
Then again some people might say, Well then again brother, Just wait until Jesus comes again.
And what time?
Well like the evening and night.
It'll be such a surprise for most of us.
It'll blow your mind to the point where you'll say, Surely, This must be a dream.
But look, I love Jesus from the start.
It's just unexpected.
You will get deep chapped in your deep.
You'll get chapped in your deep.
You'll get chapped in your deep.
You'll be trying to think of how peaceful it would be, Walking around in heaven on streets made with gold.
Tonight is the night my friends, tonight is the night.
You'll get chapped in your life.
And the way the world is, Does not really get to be.
You need to try to open your mind, Ears, heart and eyes.
And you'll get chapped in your life.
Really you can see, Tonight is the night my friends, tonight is the night.
You'll get chapped in your life.
That we're not fighting.
Party.
Party.
Mentalities, That take up all of the world.
That's what we're gonna have to be.
You'll get chapped in your life.
That all the pressure fills the world.
My brothers and sisters, Tonight is the night my friends, tonight is the night.
You'll get chapped in your life.
Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh I'm riding on my sister, riding on your body to the tent.

Praise the sweet name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
I'm born again.
Hell is hot, hot, hot.
