Now to the growing outrage after a four-year-old boy slipped into a gorilla enclosure and the desperate decision to kill the animal.
The shocking incident caught on camera the gorilla and boy face-to-face for several minutes before the 400-pound silverback was shot.
Tonight, officials defending their actions amid anger and an outpouring of support for the endangered animal.
Beware the beast man, for he is the devil's pawn.
Alone among God's primates, he kills for sport or lust or greed.
Yea, he will murder his brother to possess his brother's land.
Let him not breed in great numbers, for he will make a desert of his home and yours.
Shun him, drive him back into his jungle lair.
For he is the harbinger of death.
Spry in here and then lay alive.
I am a boy and I will save the earth Earth Earth Earth Earth Earth Earth Earth Earth Earth Tonight, growing outrage about this close encounter.
Those 10 terrifying minutes the child spent inside the zoo exhibit causing the endangered silverback to lose his life.
If you are caught by the gorillas, you must remember one thing.
Never to speak.
What the hell would I have to say to a gorilla?
Never one of us.
I'm not the same Fucking friends, fucking friends Fucking come out the door Put me down like you do You're fucking guap Never anyone but your fucking god You will never be one of us Be that you may I'm not your man No dream, no choice You will never be one of us So deep, disguised You will never be one of us Fuck you, don't play You are not the same No dream, no choice You will never be one of us So deep, disguised You will never be one of us Okay, so here's the question from Bernie.
He asked, Hillary Clinton backed out of an agreement to debate me in California before the June 7th primary.
Are you prepared to debate the major issues facing our largest state and the country before the California primary?
Yes or no?
He wants to know if you will debate him.
Yes, I am.
How much is he going to pay me?
We've just gotten a statement from Donald Trump that's just into CNN right now.
I'm going to read from it.
The headline being he's saying that he will not participate in a debate with Bernie Sanders, saying, based on the fact that the Democratic nominating process is totally rigged and crooked Hillary Clinton and Debrie Wasserman Schultz will not allow Bernie Sanders to win, it seems inappropriate that I would debate the second place finisher.
I don't think I can't hear anything until I hear what I hear and hear what I hear.
I don't think I can hear anything until I hear what I hear.
I don't think I can hear anything until I hear what I hear.
I don't think I can hear anything until I hear what I hear.
I don't think I can hear anything until I hear what I hear.
I don't think I can hear anything until I hear what I hear.
I don't think I can hear anything Beaten down by the fist of God You're dead, I'm in here You're dead, I'm in here Skeletal wasteland made to black You're dead, I'm in here You're dead, I'm in here You're dead, I'm in here You're dead, I'm in here Beaten down by the fist of God You're dead, I'm in here You're dead, I'm in here You're dead, I'm in here Yeah You're dead, I'm in here Tana, if I could ask you as senior advisor to the Trump campaign, what's behind his thinking here?
Mr. Trump always has a strategy behind everything that he does.
And if he chooses not to debate Bernie Sanders, he's got a good reason.
And we know that everything that he decides he's going to do has been completely unheard of.
I mean, Mr. Trump's presidential campaign has been, for the record, historic, monumental, and nothing has been of the norm.
So if he chooses not to do it, then that is his choice, and there's a reason behind it.
And it's a good reason.
This is not a test.
Wake up, America, and be a good American, and buy American, or pledge your next card to be American.
Oh, what a bunch of shit.
Nasty propaganda.
Feds do crap like that.
Gotta try something in my backyard.
Wake up, America.
Wake up, America.
Spill your nuclear nuclear nuclear Oh, my God.

You are listening to the very manic Jimmy Cab Show.
I am your host, Jimmy Cabs, broadcasting from lovely downtown gentrified Los Angeles.
May 31st.
Boy, what an interesting seven days.
Indeed.
What a very interesting seven days.
Very interesting seven days have transpired, have gone by.
The chain of events are really...
What can I say other than horrifying, shocking, offensive?
Unbelievable.
Where do we begin?
Where do we begin?
You know what?
Why don't we begin by dedicating the show to Marembe, who is a silverside gorilla.
A gorilla that was assassinated a couple of days ago.
Chester, how you doing there?
Do you have an image of Marembe there?
Yeah, I think so.
Silverback.
Silverback gorilla.
Silverback gorilla.
Oh, an extinct, from an extinct species.
Look at that.
There he is right there.
We're dedicating the show to...
Is that the one?
That's the one.
That was him in his glory days there.
Do we have an image of how he looked after they lit him up?
All because of neglectful parents.
That's horrifying.
A silverside gorilla in his imprisonment captivity, which was the zoo in Cincinnati, Cincinnati, Ohio, was minding his business one day when a four-year-old child somehow ventured into his terrain there.
Now, this is interesting for me because I've been commenting on the...
the downworld spiral effects of society.
I see so many children being bred like rats, but yet the parenting aspect is also becoming extinct.
Here in Los Angeles, it seems that everybody loves the fuck, and, you know, I guess they also love to breed, but when it comes to raising these children, out the window.
Out the window.
Anytime I venture off into...
a supermarket or, uh...
you know, let's just say, uh...
a Target or a Walmart or what have you, there's kids running around with their fucking, uh, snotty-ass noses running around without no parental supervision.
And, lo and behold, society is left to deal with that neglect.
The fact that this silverside gorilla, who, by the way, was kidnapped from his natural habitat, brought on over here, just like, you know, slavery back in the day, brought on over here, put into this so-called natural habitat of concrete and fucking fencing and walls, so the human species can just stare and look at him in his natural habitat, minding his own fucking business, and then, lo and behold, this little child ventures in there and, uh...
he was assassinated.
He was killed.
And...
my question is...
where are the parents?
How can you take your...
Listen.
I remember when I was a child.
If I ventured, uh...
a couple of inches away from my mom, I got my hair pulled.
I got pinched.
You know, uh...
my dad would fucking scream, GET OVER HERE!
Where?
Where are the fucking parents in this?
Is it just me?
Is it just me that is, uh...
uh...
I mean, this is an extreme example of a problem that's been going on, I'd say, for the last, what, three decades?
I mean, just...
and it especially has become a plague the last ten years.
I mean, it just seems that, uh...
everyone loves to fuck.
Everybody loves to fuck.
They love to fuck so much that, you know what?
When you...
You just know you gotta pull out.
You just know you gotta pull out, but fuck it.
I'm just gonna nut.
I'm gonna nut.
I'm gonna nut in this fertile veg.
I'm gonna nut in that fertile veg, and you know what?
I don't give a fuck.
What?
Raising a child?
What?
Feeding it?
Supporting it?
That's what WIC's for.
That's what welfare's for.
You know?
Hey.
We'll get some free cereal somewhere.
I mean, hey, you know what?
My mom and dad are around, you know?
Grandpa, grandpa.
Grandpa, grandma.
They'll take care of it.
I mean, come on.
Uh...
In all fairness, uh...
I think that, uh...
the actions that the zoo staff did was indeed not neglectful.
It was a necessity, even though, uh...
you know, in a perfect world, you know, uh...
we can think clearly and quickly and act so precisely.
Could a tranquilizer gun have been used?
Could there have been utter deterrence?
Who knows?
You know, a four-year-old child, at the end of the day, when it comes to children, we need to...
guard and protect them 110%.
Do you agree, Chester?
Absolutely.
What do you agree about that?
Or you just don't give a fuck?
No, I...
I mean, I know you were off on vacation.
I was on vacation, so, uh...
What did the people...
Don't disclose where you're at, by the way, because we have stalkers on this show.
But, uh...
What did the people where you were vacationing, were they horrified at the news of this tragic event?
You know, I think it happened...
It didn't spread to that area, so I didn't hear any local comment on it.
Mm-hmm.
But, yeah, I mean, I completely agree.
You know, they were buying fucking churros while their kid wandered off and crawled into this thing.
I don't know about churros.
Maybe, uh...
Maybe some other, uh, you know, ethnic food, but, uh...
Michelle Gregg, 32, and Dion Dickerson, 36.
They have four children.
A lot of criticism they've been receiving, and, uh, righteously so.
Well, wouldn't you...
Wouldn't you say, uh, Chester?
Yeah.
Do you find it offensive that a child would not be supervised and have this opportunity to just...
I mean, it's not an easy event, man.
I mean, what were you doing where you can't keep an eye on your child?
Yeah.
I mean...
You were definitely, you know, looking the other way and preoccupied with something else to not know where your kid is.
Right.
And then for your kid, you know, a little kid like that, to spend the time necessary to figure out how to get in there, you know...
I don't know the timeline.
I don't know how long it was until this parent noticed that their kid was missing, but it had to be quite some time.
I mean, just for the kid to crawl down in there.
Yeah.
And, I mean, you know, well, we have some images.
Why don't you put up image number one of Marambe with the child?
Look at that.
You see that right there?
See?
Yeah.
You know, many have been speculating that the gorilla, obviously, number one, was alarmed and caught off guard by this entity because they don't, you know, he doesn't know what it is.
It's their territorial.
But it looks to me that right there, you know, he doesn't seem to be aggressive.
Do we have another image there, Chester?
Then again, though, that's a what?
A fort?
No, that's a...
That's when he was dead.
There you go.
Look at that.
He even picked him up.
That's interesting.
You know what?
Frightening period right there.
It is tragic and sad that this beast had to be taken down.
But again, you know, to save a child.
Again, I think, though, that the parents should be held highly accountable.
And there should be some sort of...
How do tranquilizers work?
Like, when they shoot those darts, does it immediately put the animal to sleep?
Or it has time, and it might react and freak out?
I think they don't work.
I think they don't work instantly.
I'm not sure.
But, I mean, we have video.
Do you have video?
You want to put up the video of this thing?
This is very interesting because, you know, they've been saying...
People have been criticizing, saying that tranquilizers could have been used, some sort of flashbang device to scare the beast.
But look at this.
Oh, this is just frightening.
How did that kid get...
Get in there is what I want to know.
What was that mother doing?
Was she texting?
Right?
What was she doing?
Was she texting her other boo?
What was she doing?
Look at that.
You see that, Chester?
Oh, yeah.
Dragging that kid.
This is the first time I'm seeing this video, actually.
Oh, you know what?
You should get stung.
It's pretty funny.
Shit.
Best kid.
I didn't know that the gorilla dragged the kid like that.
Dude, like a rag doll.
Yeah.
And then, if you look very closely, he picks up the child.
See, it looks like he's guarding him there.
But even those actions of him dragging him like that, that's life-threatening right there.
Yeah, that was kind of startling.
Big time.
Look at that.
Mind you, I like the talent of this person who's recording this.
Look at the nerves.
I would have been shaking.
Look it.
There he goes.
Oh, my God.
Taking that child to the remote part of that.
Wow.
Incredible.
Yeah, I'll tell you, the video kind of changes things for me a bit.
I didn't know that the gorilla was dragging the kid like that.
Oh, without a doubt.
I think at that point, unless you want your kid to be torn in half, you're going to have to do something.
You know, it's sad to say that with the, the zoo people reacted and how they addressed this, it was justified.
But again, this could have been avoided if parents would just simply watch their children.
Yeah, the gorilla is doing what it thinks it's supposed to do, and it has to suffer and die because the parent didn't keep track of their kid.
And the sad thing about all this is regardless of what your opinions are, here is an extinct animal.
Here is an extinct animal.
Here is an extinct animal.
Okay, who is brought to this country on the pretext of saving the species.
And he ends up becoming assassinated.
I think we have an image.
Do we have an image of what happened to him after this video there, Chester?
Let's see there.
Let's turn this up.
Look, there he is right there.
There's his head right there.
There's his head right there for all to see.
Let's put up an image of the parents.
Let's see these parents.
Let's see Michelle Gray.
Let's see Michelle Gray.
And Dion Dickerson.
Look at that.
You guys are parents, the shittiest parents of the year.
I think we vote you the shittiest parents of the year.
What do you think, Chester?
Yeah.
You got to be some really fucking stupid fucking shithead assholes to let your child crawl into a fucking gorilla encampment at the zoo.
Well, give it time.
You know, we're going to know exactly what they were doing and why they weren't paying attention.
There was witnesses.
Somebody's going to come out and say, you know, this chick was, you know, texting on her phone or taking fucking selfies, looking the other direction, you know, when her kid wandered off.
So it's going to come out.
You know what's really scary, though, is why don't you put up the images of the gorillas up in arms right now?
Look at this.
This is what's really fucking frightening.
The gorillas are taking up arms.
You see that?
They're pissed.
They're fucking upset.
I think we have an image of the L.A.
Zoo gorillas.
You have an image of the L.A.
Zoo gorillas?
There you go.
They're fucking pissed, man.
They're taking up arms.
All right.
Another fucking interesting thing that happened.
Donald Trump was asked if he would debate Bernie Sanders.
As you know, most polls, political polls, say that if it was Bernie versus Trump, that Bernie would have a large percentage of the vote to win.
Is that correct, Chester?
Yeah.
Okay.
But unfortunately, Hillary is dominating that whole Democratic field.
So Donald Trump was asked if he would debate Bernie Sanders on the issues.
Hillary Clinton had denied to debate Bernie Sanders.
And at first, he agreed.
Then he declined.
I think we have an image of the Bernie Sanders fucking Donald Trump fucking thing.
There you go.
Look at that.
At first, he declined.
I think this is all really just tragic because, you know what?
This would be the perfect opportunity, regardless of what your opinions are of Donald Trump or Bernie Sanders.
I think it would have been a very interesting debate because the issues would have been thrown out.
It would have been cold on the floor, so to speak.
And we would literally see who indeed has a better agenda for the country.
You know, I hate to say it this way, but the debate should not be up for debate.
You know what I'm saying?
I agree.
It should be a part of the political process.
And this is what you need to do to become a candidate.
Every candidate should debate the other candidates.
This shouldn't be a choice.
Yeah.
It really shouldn't.
I think, you know, I don't know about you, but I just really, this election, I've said this before time and time again.
It just really has left me completely just worn down, man.
It just really has just sucked the life out of me.
I'm kind of curious to see how the California primaries are going to do.
June 7th.
June 7th.
We'll see, you know, we'll see how it goes.
I would have loved to have seen Bernie Sanders debate Donald Trump, but unfortunately, that's not going to happen.
All right.
Let's move it along here.
This is interesting.
As many of you know, or don't know, I like to fuck.
You know, my significant other, she knows this firsthand.
I like to fuck.
Jeremy, do you like to fuck?
Yeah.
Okay.
There's a lot of times where, you know, for one reason or another, especially if you're in a, God, I wish we were homosexuals.
You know, when you're in a relationship with a female, sometimes you don't have access to, uh, carnal pleasure.
You know, sometimes, you know, uh, your significant other is just not feeling well.
You know, she's a little emotional.
Maybe you were insensitive or an asshole.
And, you know, you're not allowed to, uh, to have that delightful pleasure.
Have you experienced that, Jeremy?
Yeah.
It sucks, right?
Yeah.
Okay.
Now, you know, what's, what did, what is the natural thing for us to do?
We jerk off.
Right?
You pull your meat.
You jerk off.
Right.
Okay.
Now, this guy was very creative.
Do we have the video of the pipe lever there?
It's funny.
I didn't know what you were getting at.
Now, now I, now it all makes sense.
Okay.
Do you have, uh.
I got the video.
Okay.
What, do you, were you thinking I was going to inquire about your social life?
Yeah.
I thought you were going to ask me what I jerk off to or something.
Okay.
Since you brought it up.
What do you jerk off to?
Um, I like interracial, uh, gangbang.
Do you really?
Uh, Asian porn.
Wow.
Yeah.
Do you like to see the, uh, the young, delicate Asian women being torn apart by big African dicks?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Uh, there's something psychologically wrong with you, man.
Probably.
Is it because, uh, do you enjoy seeing big penises, big penises turn out to match?
No, it's not so much that as much as it is the, the dominance over, like, it's such a contrast in cultures, you know?
It's a big taboo, too, by the way.
The Asian women are, you know, stereotypically submissive and very proper.
And then, you know, like the worst, the worst fucking nightmare for an Asian father, for an Asian father is to know that his, his young, hot Asian daughter is getting banged by some black dude.
Oh my God.
Yeah.
Tell me about it, man.
Well, this individual was very creative.
You know, I'm, uh, not ashamed to admit that sometimes masturbating gets very old.
Uh, you know, there was a period in my life where I didn't have the, uh, the social or the social etiquette or the, um...
confidence to approach women.
Or if I did, uh, you know, for whatever reason, maybe, uh, the desperation was just coming out of my pores.
Uh, I wasn't comfortable around women.
It took me a long time to really master the art of conversation and flirtation.
And, uh, you know, my she-wolf would, uh, collaborate with that.
I have, I have a very, uh, interesting sense of humor and, uh, the way I view the world.
And sometimes it's considered not attractive, you know?
But, uh...
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You know, there's only so many fucking, uh, you know, Caligula-type images that you fucking put on.
And it just does not in any way, shape, or form compare to a nice, warm, loved bacterial hole.
You know what I mean?
Uh, I've experienced...
I've, uh...
I don't know about you, Jerry, but I mean, you know, I've...
I have made love to cantaloupe, you know?
And, you know, I was told...
I was given this advice by, uh, an individual who was in the middle of the city.
Uh-huh.
Uh-huh.
military and then lo and behold one day I tried it and how does that work you put a hole in the cantaloupe and you fuck it I mean I guess you fuck that juicy cantaloupe and you just go to town man you know if you want to fuck it raw if you want to make love to it you do what you got to do it just depends what mood you're in and at the end of the day you know back in the day uh when I was very young living in uh some uh institutional living facilities the the thing was it was called a fifi oh have you heard of a fifi no I have not what is basically a fifi is like you take a bath towel and you wrap around your cock and then you use some kind of lubricant to to juice up the the the towel and you basically fuck that that's like a prison pussy and how does that feel you know it's it's not really comparable but it'll get you through the day it gets it it gets you through the deed yeah well this individual became very very he was a genius let's put up the video of this guy here apparently he was in the mood for some love and uh lo and behold he decided to fuck a pipe look at that do you see that right there have you seen this video before I've seen it yeah now this is very interesting for me because I've never never never never never never never never never never never ever ever thought about fucking a pipe look at that he's fucking that look at look at his hip action look at those fierce pelvic thrusts he's going to town on that fucking thing and all I kept thinking about was like cutting your dick up and there's all kinds of like that's like sink water that comes out of there a bunch of shitty water oh yeah that's that's uh that's no chlamydia right there man look at that he's hitting that shit deep hard and raw look at that and he's busted a nut and he busted he goes to completion that's yeah he busted a nut all right so I must say that right there is I thought I've seen it all done it all as uh some of you may know uh if you listen to uh my prior show or read my journals on facebook I've traveled the ends of the earth I've done a lot of carnal sick deviant shit but I've never in my life have thought about fucking a pipe and uh I must say uh I don't think I will either that was that did not look very delightful to me but hey the point is is that he got off and it just goes to show you the power of a man who can't get pussy if he can't get pussy he's gonna get it one way or another so hey rather than I I rather have him do that than uh you know violate the law and violate someone's right and I don't think that's a good thing to do or you know hurt a child or an animal so more power to him all right we started the show off with the track by a band called doom it was called natural abuse as we mentioned before this show is going to be dedicated to marumbe the silverback gorilla who was assassinated after that we heard a track by a band called nails entitled you will never be one of us off their upcoming album it's not out yet it'll be out in a couple weeks and then we heard it can happen here by discharge the end of days record discharge was scheduled for a couple of south southern california shows they have been canceled so no discharge coming our way after that we heard a wake-up call for all of us by the day glow abortions entitled wake up america that was that was off the album fetus a fetus a fetus did I pronounce that right a fetus there you go lost johnny you are definitely missed and ufo really uh ended that segment with an appropriate song called shoot shoot off the force it record today we have an interesting interview we didn't get to uh play this last week it's an interview with frank novenick did I pronounce that correctly probably not of hate breed before we start this show let me just say this if you have children if you conceived and gave birth to children by all means whether you are a very vigilant loving caring nurturing parent or whether you're a piece of shit stay the fuck away from zoos with that chester take it away the four walls disappeared and now there's nothing left to hide the visions and the feelings very wet out deep inside you thought we'd never find you we'll always look behind found the key and opened up the back doors of your mind now your heart is open to me now your heart is open to me and i wanna hear your pre pre pre pre pre pre pre pre pre pre pre pre pre pre I hope it rains.
I hope it pours.
The flood will wash away the pain.
And open up the door.

But this morning, he's here to talk about something immensely personal and private.
Charlie, good morning.
Good to see you.
Good to see you, man.
How you been?
Good, good, good.
Thank you so much.
It's my pleasure.
We've spoken a lot over the last couple of days.
Let me just say first and foremost that your producing team, Katie Dissler and The Zim, have been awesome.
Thank you, thank you.
As have you.
Thank you.
Just absolute compassion and it just means the world.
Thank you.
Well, thank you.
You know there are a lot of rumors out there right now.
And you would like to address them head on.
So I'll give it to you.
I have to, yeah.
I'm here to admit that I am in fact HIV positive.
I'm bi-winning.
I win here and I win there.
Now what?
I don't care about anything.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Wendy O.
Williams' birthday.
Rest in peace, Wendy.
Thought she had some great tits.
Chester, did you like Wendy O.
Williams' tits?
Yeah.
She had some fucking great tits, man.
Fucking A.
Anyways, Black Leather Monster, that's off the metal Priestess record.
Before that, Charlie Sheen, alive and well in HIV, yet Maramba is dead.
Survival of the fittest, the English Dogs, that was off the forward into battle.
If you heard last week's episode with the English Dogs, they were here running wild in America and gentrified downtown Los Angeles.
Great load.
Great guys.
Great show.
If you went to it, you really caught yourself a good show.
If you missed it, shame on you.
Before that, we heard It's Your Move from Anvil, off the Anvil is Anvil record.
Anvil will be playing tomorrow.
Tomorrow at the Whiskey A Go-Go with Night Demon.
That should be a good show for those of you that are heading out to that.
Before that, we heard Purgative Circ...
Ugh.
Fucking black metal fuckers.
Purgative Circumulation from Grave Miasma.
All right.
That was butchered, but it doesn't matter.
They're playing tonight at The Complex.
That's another obscure extreme underground show you should be attending.
And then this is interesting.
This is a band from San Diego entitled The Archons.
That was a track, called Smoke Horse.
They will be playing Saturday down in San Diego with The Obsessed.
And of course, The Obsessed.
You heard the track.
We started the set there with Back to Zero.
They will be here in Los Angeles at The Complex.
So make sure you catch The Obsessed this Friday at The Complex.
And let's also mention Armored Saint and Metal Church will be playing Saturday at the Whiskey A Go-Go.
All right.
Here in downtown L.A., it is official.
Downtown L.A.
is dead.
Would you agree with that assessment, Chester?
Yep.
Let me explain here, and Chester's going to chime in here and give us even more information.
There are some very, I would say, historic and monumental little small venues that have had some amazing extreme underground shows of different genres.
One of them being the Five Star Bar in downtown L.A.
and also, the smell.
Tragically, these buildings and these venues and these businesses will no longer exist.
They are being mowed down for a parking lot.
Is that correct, Chester?
Yeah.
So the parent company, L&R Group, is the parent company for Joe's Parking.
Okay.
And Joe's Parking, you may or may not know, they have their lot on 3rd and 2nd.
Spring Street here in downtown Los Angeles.
Okay.
So they're knocking down an entire city block of small to medium-sized businesses to make more room for their parking.
And there's absolutely nothing that these businesses could do, correct?
From a legal standpoint?
The notice on the door that these businesses received said, public comment will have no impact on this project.
So, as far as Joe's is concerned, they don't give a shit about you and your opinion and your little music scene.
They're going to come in and take away all these great businesses, these small businesses that have been in downtown Los Angeles for a long time now.
Decades.
How old is the smell?
It's...
The smell and the five-star have been there, correct me if I'm wrong, but I would say fucking forever.
Yeah.
The architecture alone, I mean, if you walk into the five-star, even though it's like, you know, the Los Angeles version of CBGB's, but not as filthy.
But still, if you look at the architecture, it's beautiful in there, man.
It's a beautiful building.
It's an old historic building.
Yeah.
And, you know, there's not that many venues around Los Angeles where that type of music can play.
No.
So, now, now you're fucked.
There goes my social life.
I mean, we're...
We're not gonna hang out.
One of the things that I enjoyed about that block was, you know, you would go to the five-star to see...
We were just there last week, as a matter of fact.
Yeah.
You were there.
You would go...
You know, you go see an obscure band.
If you get a little bored or it gets too hot, you walk outside, you go next door.
There's a nice little Mexican bar there.
If not, you could venture out to the smell and go see some obscure music there.
And, you know, in some cases, I've even ventured into the new Jalisco, which is technically the Rainbow Gay Bar.
You know what I mean?
That's one of the oldest gay bars in downtown Los Angeles.
By the way, my beloved, that was before I met you.
And, uh, and no, uh, I wasn't indulging in the penis admiring at all.
It was just, you know, just a thing to do.
And then there's the Downtown Independent, which, you know, played all kinds of movies that you're never gonna see in any other...
Independent theater movies, obscure movies, international movies.
I saw Gigi Allen's Hated at the Downtown Independent high as fuck.
Yeah.
With a girl who, uh, never heard of Gigi Allen or the likes.
So, uh, that's a memorable experience for me.
But see, this is what really is the sad part.
And I've been saying this over and over again, uh, and everyone looks at me because, you know, I tend to complain a lot.
I admit that as well.
But downtown Los Angeles is no longer Los Angeles.
I mean, these, the, this whole invasion that has happened with these renovation of buildings and bringing in outsiders into the building and gentrification or so forth.
I mean, I don't recognize downtown Los Angeles no more.
I don't recognize it.
I don't feel comfortable here.
And aside from that, whatever segments of the city that are here, they're being eradicated, literally.
Yeah.
The, the, a neighborhood is not something that, that is made overnight.
And, and, and, and, and the problem with downtown LA right now is that anything that had, had gathered any wisdom over the years, because wisdom is a, uh, uh, an important element to, to a neighborhood.
All of those things are gone.
Everything is new.
All the people are new.
All the businesses are new.
So these, these places that, that have stories of before the renaissance of downtown Los Angeles, they're gone.
Yeah.
So the culture is gone.
There is no culture in downtown LA anymore.
And you know what's really the sad part?
This is what's really the sad part is, is even though, uh, individuals who are not into, let's just say, this subculture of music or, uh, or are familiar with this art form, uh, this, the, the ability to have it there, whether you want to check it out or not, is no longer going to be there.
It's going to be a parking lot.
Unbelievable.
A parking lot.
A parking lot.
Ugh.
All right.
I'm already depressed.
What about you, Chester?
Yeah.
Money, money is more important than culture.
Yeah.
Money, well, this is America.
You know, hey, this was interesting.
I was watching, uh, Anthony Bourdain yesterday, uh, Memorial Day, by the way, uh, for those of you that barbecued and, uh, you know, enjoyed your day off.
Let's remember that it was because, uh, soldiers have died.
But anyways, I was watching Anthony Bourdain and they were discussing, discussing Cuba.
Boy, oh boy, dude.
I don't think you're going to want to venture out there anymore.
Same thing.
Yeah.
The same thing.
I don't think those Cubans know what's going, what's going to be hitting them.
Be careful what you wish for.
That's right.
Okay.
Voy Vod is going to be coming to Los Angeles.
I mean, is LA still LA?
Okay.
Let's just say yes for now.
Voy Vod will be coming to Los Angeles.
They will be there June 2nd at the Whiskey A Go-Go.
You know what?
That place, seems like it's going to be the last place to see live music.
Anyways, Voy Vod will be there with King Parrot from Australia.
So why don't we play some Voy Vod right now?
Chester, take it away.
Rest in peace, downtown LA. ...capable of nothing but destruction. ...carbone fibers ...roadkill masters. ...tree of dust ...crosses in the air. ...burning wrecks ...lie everywhere. ...top fuel blowers ...helmet crushers. ...the smoke has ...blackened the sun. ...the rain has ...the changing phase ...has begun. ...runs the future ...like false riders. ...destiny's ...beating out control. ...so surprise ...the end of the road. ...stay in your lane. ...and keep your strength. ...this land we came ...I want to fight. ...no such a shame. ...shrugging away ...shrugging away ...shrugging away ...shrugging away ...shrugging away ...shrugging away ...shrugging away ...shrugging away ...shrugging away ...shrugging away ...shrugging away ...shrugging away ...shrugging away ...shrugging away ...shrugging away ...shrugging away For a ruined room Roaring desert Fittings and soul But all you did I love this game And I'll be glad To leave this place Stay in your lane And keep your faith This life remains Under the blade It's such a shame In order to survive Doing a thing to make a thing Take a chance, a fire wide In order to survive In order to survive There is nothing in front of you You It's a mess It's a truth We all saw it coming But it was Too late to see!
Too soon!
There was a time when we still had the time To make the big change So now here's your chance Your chance Your chance Deep down inside In the crust of mankind Remains Magma finds its way out Explodes And rises in the sky The fall of man In order to survive Do anything to save yourself Just get your eyes on the last rose In which lies In order to survive In order to survive There is a place I know for sure Where there is life Where there is life and water nuclear But it's not mine and it's not yours But it's not mine and it's not yours But it's not mine and it's not yours But it's not mine and it's not yours But it's not mine and it's not yours This is us, in my mind I'm tested to a weapon And I ride in the wind On the night Don't care to prove That the blood that I lie I never told There is here To ask of the Holy One When this empty dance Is my life To burn myself In the dark of the night And the dark Of the wind Is unbelievable Again I'm Dying I can't feel my soul Confined But I can't put up with anything No blood in the throat I'm a jealous weasel Cause I'm weird And I'm singing And I'm holding your hand There's a place Where the old soul Is gathered to fall But the girl Is a fool And the best of all we know Is a guy In the field He'll die And I will Come There's a curse We bring down the born And be bold Be the old soul Born in life Don't tell the fool That we're just a lie There's a curse On the way We run Shit on the level We get I'm Dying I can't feel my soul Confined I can't feel my soul Confined I'm Dying I can't feel my soul Confined I can't feel my soul Confined I can't hear my soul Before that, we heard Post Society off their Voivod's latest release, Post Society.
It's an EP that came out a couple of months back.
And again, Voivod and King Parrot will be playing this Thursday as the Whiskey A Go-Go.
You know, as we were talking earlier about all this madness that's been going on this week, one of the things that really, really stood out for me is the fact that, and maybe you'll agree with me, Chester, but it just seems to me that the news media is just also, there's no longer real news media, man.
Would you agree with that?
Yeah, the media latches on to viewership and sensationalism.
Yeah, I mean, I miss the Jerry Dunphys.
I miss, like, you know, the Walter Cronkites.
I miss, like, the series.
I miss the curious newscaster who's giving you the real-world reporting.
It just seems that it's all somewhat fucking comical now.
But you know what I do enjoy, Chester?
I don't know about you.
I don't know if you're an early bird person, but you know what has changed dramatically that I enjoy is the meteorologists.
Have you caught any of our local meteorologists here in the early morning?
Los Angeles, the weather girls?
Yeah, man, they're fucking pork stars.
They're fucking hot, man.
They're fucking illiterate as fuck, but fucking they look hot.
I got to tell you, I...
L.A.
and in Mexico.
Fucking hot.
You know, Saturday mornings, if you turn on the local Hispanic channels here, they have those paid programming used car sales lot fucking infomercials.
But, dude, who gives a fuck about the cars?
Just look at the chicks that are around there.
It's incredible.
And mind you, I'm saying this not as a single horny male who's fucking a pipe.
You know, I get laid very regularly, but still, I admire a good-looking woman here or there.
You know what I mean?
All right.
Armored Saint will be coming to town this Saturday.
Armored Saint, win hands down.
They're going to be playing with Metal Church.
Wow, that's an interesting bill.
I spoke to Joey Vera earlier today, and I had this great interview that we were going to play with.
Unfortunately, I fucked up and I erased it.
So we're not going to hear it.
I don't care anything about that.
But here's the deal.
Armored Saint is going to be playing.
They're playing a sold-out show at the Whiskey, but they're also playing M15 in Corona, which I believe is the day before, and the Brick by Brick in San Diego.
So make sure you get tickets for that show.
Why don't we play a little Armored Saint, Chester?
And we're going to dedicate this song especially to Marumbe, the silverback gorilla.
Take it away.
Take it away.
Take it away.
Take it away.
Take it away.
Take it away.
Take it away.
We know and forewarned our many hail to pay.
Adolescence in full swing.
Moving on, we're gonna break.
So much that this platoon can do.
Freddy Sedeckis is wrong.
With boots on the ground.
With heads down.
A giant sound.
With heads down.
Just me and him.
Drop the rays.
And place my crown.
With heads.
Down.
With heads.
Down.
With heads.
Down.
With heads.
Down.
With tails.
Down.
With tails.
Down.
With tails.
Down.
With tails.
Down.
With tails.
Down.
With tails.
Down.
With tails.
Down.
With tails.
Down.
With tails.
Down.
With tails.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We're going to hear Jimi Cab's Novenick?
Yes.
Did I pronounce that right?
You did.
Very good.
But Florida Frank, right?
Sure.
That's what I go by these days.
Welcome to Los Angeles.
What a beautiful day, man.
It's great to be back.
You know, I spent some good period of my life here when I was playing in Terror before I was in Haybreed.
So I know L.A.
and I enjoy it out here.
I'm a diehard Lakers fan.
I have the tattoo on my leg.
And I just was at the Angels game, actually, because I'm on a mission to hit every ballpark in the country.
And I've already been to the Dodger Stadium and I needed to knock Anaheim off the list.
So we're over at the Angels versus the Orioles and I just got back.
Wow, right on, man.
23 down, 7 to go.
Right on.
You're on tour right now supporting the new album.
Let me make sure I announce this.
The Concrete Confessional.
Let's start with this.
One of the things that I have found very interesting about Haybreed is the fact that for the last...
Jesus, is it over 20 years?
It is.
Jesus, over 20 fucking years.
The thing that I found most interesting about Haybreed is the fact of the consistency.
The consistency of the music, the messages, and the fact that you stay with the same foundation of what the band is.
In other words, you're not reinventing the wheel.
You're not really going abroad musically.
But yet, in a way, you are.
It's a weird dynamic here because unlike other bands who play it safe, you guys are not about that.
But yet, you retain that same foundation and it doesn't get mundane.
It doesn't get boring.
My question to you is, how did you achieve that again on this record, your seventh?
Well, I think that the evolution of Haybreed is because the band has came from the basements of the hardcore scene in America.
And, you know, Rose...
Rose to, um...
You know, even...
You have people that like the band that listen to straight-up rock music.
And obviously, we've broken into the metal scene enormously.
More than any band from the hardcore scene has ever.
So...
Ever.
Ever.
So, you...
You know, we have a lot of people to make happy when we make a record now.
Not just hardcore kids.
But, you know, it's tricky to still try and make it sound like Haybreed at the end of the day.
And keep ourselves happy on top of it.
We always wanted...
It's important.
It's important.
It's important.
It's important.
We always want to do that.
It's hard.
It's hard.
It's a real fine line to walk when we make a record.
Maybe that's why it takes three years to...
In between albums.
That and obviously touring all over the world.
So...
You know, um...
It's funny.
You say...
Some people will say that we've changed completely.
And other people will say that, no, we...
It's the same stuff.
So...
To me, it's all the same.
It's all rock and roll.
It's all aggressive music.
It's...
It's heavy shit.
You know what I mean?
I think it's all...
It's all relevant in that sense.
So...
Why not?
You know, I think that the Concrete Confessional is a great representation of where Hey Preed is in 2016.
And...
And the feedback and the vibes that have been surrounding the release of the record have been overwhelming for us.
They've been really good.
And we're very happy about it.
One of the things that I've always appreciated throughout the decades is where bands really originate with a sense of a sincerity.
A sense of being oneself, being true.
And then they're able to retain that in this business.
As you mentioned before, the music has expanded to other demographics.
The band has grown immensely.
But yet, there seems to be a very down-to-earth sincerity with the band where it hasn't affected you guys.
And in the music, it resonates with the same positive messages and the real-world scenarios of this world.
Question number two.
Do you think that this audience...
Not to bash the kids.
Not to bash the kids.
But in the audience in the day of, you know, texting while you're playing, do you think they're really getting the messages?
Because the messages have been very direct to the point for decades.
I think the people are.
I mean, I really do.
I think that they see it more than they read it.
You know, how the band carries themselves.
We'll do a show that's 90,000 people at a festival in Europe and come back and play.
Come back and play to 150 people on a Monday night in Memphis.
So, you know what I mean?
It's...
That's real work.
You can't deny that.
You can't deny that.
So, you know, the thing is, I think in the metal community, I think that you're not used to such positive and personable lyrics that are reaching out to you, maybe helping you or getting through tough times or whatever it is.
I just think that in the metal community, they're not used to that so much as where in the hardcore scene, you have a lot of that.
So, I think that, you know, when Hatebreed...
When you have people that are fans of metal music and they embrace the band, I think that they...
One of the things they embrace besides the music is the fact that we're that band that is very personable with them.
They feel like it's us and them sweating it out together and we're not these big rock stars up here.
And I think that they get the message that way, you know?
They connect.
They do.
And I think, you know, it furthers them to go dig into the lyrics and read the meaning of it.
And I think that's what's so great about the music.
It's the meanings and the messages that Jamie's written.
And we leave them open for interpretation.
And people use the lyrics to, you know, to get to...
To empower themselves, really.
I'm not saying every one of our songs is like that.
You know, we have songs that are...
But what I like about your music and what I like about the lyrical content is, as you mentioned again, real world, sincere.
In other words, you're not trying to be this deity, this character.
You're trying to be this individual that's in this world that we're living in, describing and talking about what's going on.
And when you get up on stage, this is what I appreciate for the last 20 years, is it's not an act.
It's individuals who love music, who are just up there performing your renditions of what you were inspired by.
And I think that's what's most important in this day and age and with this album is the fact that even though you've been doing it for 20 years, as I mentioned before, it's been consistency.
There's always...
Every band, regardless of what, there's always a shift and change through whatever we're dealing with society-wise.
Now, I think the attention span's not there, man.
When I was a kid, and I'm sure you remember, we'd go to a record store, you'd find that Youth Of Today record.
You'd find that whatever albums it was, and you would listen to it, and it would resonate to you.
Now, these kids download it, and it's like, okay, I have it.
Well, you know, and back when we were kids, we're staring at the record covers.
Right?
Like, just looking at it.
When I was six years old, I was staring at Kiss Destroyer like, oh my God.
Or when I was a teenager, I was staring at Show No Mercy by Slayer or something.
And I'm reading the lyrics, and I'm the thanks list, and they're friends with this band?
Oh, I gotta go check this band out now.
You know what I mean?
There's none of that anymore.
I love record stores.
I love vinyl.
I love cassettes.
I love 8-tracks.
I love music.
We're fans, like you said.
We're fans of the bands that we love so much.
I was at the record store.
We played at the Glass House last night.
I was there.
And they have that record store down this street that has all the shirts.
And I think I spent $100 on Venom and Broken Bones and Depeche Mode and GBH shirts.
You know what I mean?
I'm still a fan.
I still love the music.
And I still think that, you know, music is a way of life.
And it's all about a feeling and how it makes you feel and how, you know, it's just I can imagine people that there's...
I'm not really into music.
You meet a couple people here and there.
Throughout my life, I have.
And I can't even imagine what that would be like, you know?
Incredible.
I can't.
I can't.
I just...
And I hope that people realize that, going back to what we're talking about, that we are fans first.
You know what I mean?
I still geek out over people that I idolize.
And I still get starstruck.
And, you know, so when we meet the people that support this band and stuff, I hope they all realize that, you know, that we're fans just like they are.
We know what it's like to be really fans.
We know what it's like to be really into something like that.
All right.
Hey, Chester.
Did you notice how tight that fucking boy VOD shirt looks?
Yeah.
Nice.
Oh, my God.
Let me ask my she-wolf here.
She-wolf, hey, you're going to be...
We're not going to mention you here.
So...
And try not to put her on camera, Chester.
Okay.
Hey, she-wolf.
Get on the mic there, darling.
Did you see that image of me right there?
Did you see how I looked?
Yeah.
Your hair was a mess.
And yet you still get wet and want to fuck me after that?
I love you.
Unbelievable.
What a great woman, right, Chester?
Yeah, that's dedication.
Ugh, hideous.
All right.
Why don't we play another track off the Concrete Confessional?
This is a track called A.D.
And then we have part two of that interview.
Take it away.
I don't want this dream where the green man's to bring Consistency by greed of the cause of equality Angled in endless archaic stains A power remedy What about the poor buried poverty in smirks?
What about the sick whose lives were torn apart?
What about those whose lives are respected?
A nation of useless descendants This art Don't rethink This art This art This art Don't rethink This dream you call America You're a You're a belly This one we'll call their heritage A burden no one's searching for liberty Crowded dead is the new face of slavery Died by design with a senseless poem And in ever a new realm What about the leaders abusing authority?
Corrupt moral compass, guarded pure empathy What about those who died for the cause of liberty?
What about those who died for the cause of liberty?
Spirits of the slain Spirits of the slain Spirits of the slain Spirits of the slain Spirits of the slain Spirits of the slain Spirits of the slain Spirits of the slain Spirits of the slain Spirits of the slain Spirits of the slain Spirits of the slain Spirits of the slain Spirits of the slain Spirits of the slain Spirits of the slain Spirits of the slain Spirits of the slain Spirits of the slain Spirits of the slain Hiding in the corners of my mind Screaming when I kneel to look inside Stomach fucking turning And now it's disconcerting Fight fire with fire You'll see everyone burning Turn on the TV For the murder spree Get distracted while they think you're civil liberty But the prayers again Is that what it'll take?
Which industry's weapon While I'm harassing?
Now hear the media fools Discuss the killer's mind Staring at the screen To tell us what they find Manifest, no dollar worship Get on your knees So they can sell us a cure For the American disease It's time to rethink this dream That they call American Corrupt system of belief Some will call their innocence It's time to rethink this dream That they call American So one day it can mean Something real again Maybe soon Maybe soon Maybe soon Maybe soon Maybe soon Maybe soon Maybe soon Maybe soon Maybe soon Maybe soon Maybe soon hate breed when you think of hardcore that's what you you picture obviously to the new generation my question to you is is how do you want to be looked upon because when i was a kid back in the day you would look at say ian mckay or any of the other uh pioneering hardcore guys and as again always the messages was resonated how would you like to be perceived now with these kids and what do you want them to come away with listening to this record well i just i want people to realize that hate breed is a universal band and and i compare it to motorhead and even though i've been ridiculed for doing that and obviously hate breed is not a motorhead we're not i love motorhead motorheads the camaraderie the being being universal oh yeah people use it for clickbait oh people take this music way too serious it's crazy i have my motorhead tattoo here by the way and i just like this shout out motorhead they're the greatest but um right but um the thing that the point that i was trying to make when i said that was that we're a universal band we don't just cater to one audience we bring all the people together like that's what i want to be the band to be known as hate breed was that band that had rock fans at the shows and punk people at the shows and hardcore people to shows and metal people at the shows that went on so much when i was growing up you know when i would go to shows in the 80s thrash hardcore and punk shows and and you would have that all the time um you don't have that anymore now it's all these little sub genres and 20 shows a week and you go to the shows with your little click and that's it it's we're our little whole thing that we do our underground of all these bands that i'm talking about and i can it could be a band as big as slip knot it could be a band as small as you know a band that has their demo out it's all to me it's all one underground and i know that some people might say well slip now that's really not underground well well i mean listen how crazy the music is sometimes i listen to music and i'm like oh my god listen to that band i'm like some of the stuff straight up grindcore and they're like the biggest playing arenas and stuff it's a beautiful thing but all of the people that like these bands and are in these bands we are such a small little puddle compared to the ocean that is the world that people that frown down upon what we do i want to there's no need to divide ever you know we all have to stick together so i want hate breed to be known as that band that just would tour with five finger death punch and then napalm death and play a festival in europe with wu-tang clan where it's all universal stuff and we all have to stick together i want hate breeding to be known more than anything for being a universal band that was always for making the music scenes come together rather than dividing things very well put i don't know if you're aware of their son but in the military regardless of what branch it is out in hostile live on fire actions hey breed is one of the tunes amongst other heavy music amongst other that is listened to consistently how do you feel about that and how do you feel about the fact that here you are being listened to in these unbearable conditions where these kids are at dealing in with real world carnage and yet at the same time there's a positive message there even even in the chaos and ugliness of combat and war well i just want to to to make note that i am completely aware of that that we the troops do listen to this band and it's very flattering to me because i know that it's a not only in the military but in the states in general it is a country and a hip-hop world um so the fact that they are able to dig and and find our music and read the lyrics and realize that you know when i was speaking before about the lyrics make getting people through hardships and stuff uh i was talking about depression or maybe a loss of a family member but absolutely people in the military you know people that are putting their lives at risk and i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i just i I really appreciate it.
I mean, for me, it makes what we do even more enjoyable.
I mean, we're blessed to be able to play music and go all over the world and make a living out of this.
But to hear people, the stories of people, especially the troops, it makes it so much gratifying.
I mean, it's incredible.
It really is.
I want to thank you for taking the time to talk to me.
Hatebreed is on tour right now as we speak.
The Concrete Confessional, pick it up now on Nuclear Blast Record.
One final comment.
Being a live band is so important in this day and age.
There are a lot of bands that they think they're live bands, but they're not.
There's such a distance, even amongst themselves when they're playing on stage.
The energy that you bring to the stage and the fact that every person in attendance always seems to be, A, mesmerized by the music, and B, disconnected from society and all the madness that's going on in that little brief moment of unity and happiness.
How do you do that?
If you could fucking put that in a pen.
You'd be millionaires.
It's just what we do.
Henry Rollins says it best.
He says, you can't fool an audience.
That's a great quote.
It is.
You can't go out there and give 90%.
You can't go out there and give 100%.
You've got to go out there and give 110%.
You have to realize that, again, it goes back to what I was saying.
People, when we're playing a show and there's tens of thousands of people there, or we're playing a show and there's a couple hundred people there, you can't call it in when there's a couple hundred people.
You give the same show.
You give the same energy.
Because it doesn't matter if it's those people at the big show or small show.
This is their big night to see you.
They've been waiting months for this.
You have a duty to go out there and make them happy and give them their money's worth and make them feel empowered when they walk away.
But also, I think the most important thing is to keep them as a fan and keep them around and keep delivering to them what brought them there in the first place.
So, I think that we don't know anything different.
Fortunately, we're like a machine at this point.
And we don't tour as much as we used to.
It's not 300 shows a year.
We're doing six months a year.
So, as we get older, I think it's a little bit easier on us to conjure up that energy and do it for half the year versus nine months.
But, no, I mean, that's part of what we do.
So, Hapri's known for the Energetic Positive live show.
What are we going to do?
Not give them that, you know?
So, I feel like we're in a great place right now.
Everybody in the band's very happy.
We haven't done a full U.S.
tour in about five years.
And this has far exceeded our expectations of the turnouts and the response.
So, we'll continue to do this as long as we can.
We have no plans to slow down at all, no plans to stop.
I mean, I look at Agnostic Front.
They're 10 years older than us.
They've been doing this for a long time.
They've been doing it 10 years.
I look at the Rolling Stones.
I know it's different music.
I just saw them last summer.
They were perfect.
They're in their 70s.
They're on their 52nd anniversary.
Yeah, they do it.
Why not?
Why not?
Why not?
You know, I mean, it's...
Why not do it?
And I think it's important for us.
We've made all the right decisions.
That's why the band's successful at this point.
You watch bands fail and you learn from their mistakes.
But I think the best thing is for us to stay current, to keep our name out there, play with younger bands still, and then play with the classic bands.
I think...
When a band breaks up or goes away for a long time, maybe some bands can afford to do that.
We can't do that.
You know, we can't...
Oh, we're going to call it quits for a few years and come back.
I think the fact that we're constantly, constantly doing something...
You know, obviously, Jamie's a machine when it comes to social media and the podcasting and keeping himself and Apreed's name out there.
So we're very fortunate for that.
But, you know, we'll do this as long as we can.
So, for sure.
But we appreciate the support from you guys.
And, you know, we'll...
Look forward to coming back down here as we always do.
So we had a good time this time around.
And, you know, hopefully we can squeeze a couple more shows in out here in the second leg of the tour later in the year.
So...
Well, for 20 years, Apreed has been doing what we all know, which is keeping it raw, keeping it real, keeping it live, pick up the new record.
Thank you so much for taking the time to speak with me.
Appreciate it, guys.
Thank you.
All right.
That was an interview that I conducted with Frank Novin, the neck of Apreed.
Make sure you pick up the new album, The Concrete Confessional, as I mentioned before, on Nuclear Blast Records.
What do you think of Apreed, Chester?
I love Apreed, actually.
Yeah, right?
I mean...
I mean, that's kind of what I grew up with on the East Coast, you know?
You know, I just like that, you know what, regardless of how much time has gone by, you kind of know what you're going to get with that band.
You know what I mean?
It's pretty...
They're not reinventing the wheel, and they're really...
sticking true to what it is, and every album really has a punch, man, you know?
All right.
With that, we're going to be ending the show.
As I mentioned before, we dedicated the show to Marambe, the silverback gorilla that was assassinated in Cincinnati at the zoo because of neglectful parents.
So with that, we're going to end the show with a track by a band called Beastmaker.
Watch your kids.
Parents.
Okay?
Watch your kids 24-7.
After all, you took the time to create them.
Let's keep an eye on our kids and fulfill our parental duties.
With that, thank you for listening.
See ya.
See ya.
See ya.
Some in the warm again, you're alone with the dead After he's done with you, you'll get no revenge His shadow will follow and you'll never be free The fire is glowing in his eyes, you can see Fasting magic's now for you, you're not too hard, he wants you to To his dirty words, hold him, to play about now, you must say Must say Must say Must say Must say It gave you the motion and you gave him the soul No more temptations, I'll see you again Lost in the home, your life's now devoted, you're forever enslaved True love will not find you and you'll never be saved Fasting magic's now for you, you're not too hard, he wants you to To his dirty words, hold him, to play about now, you must say Fasting magic's now for you, you're not too hard, he wants you to All he wants you to do is turn your head And I'm just a playboy Now you must stand Must stand Must stand Must stand You'll feel him in you when you're sleeping alone And when he speaks to you in mystical tones You'll grow to love him for the man that he is Just open up your heart Open up your heart and learn to forgive Open up your heart and learn to forgive Open up your heart and learn to forgive Open up your heart and learn to forgive Open up your heart and learn to forgive So that no one like you know you're not dead After he's done with you you'll get no revenge This shadow will follow and you'll never be free The fire is blowing in his eyes you can see He's got his magic spell for you And I'll do what he wants you to To his dirty ways You're going to see He's got his magic spell for you Must stand Must stand Must stand Must stand
