That's where I go. I don't cry for a mom again. And in that scream I drowned in a little drink of rum. The things as they are, tragedies there are a lot. But to enjoy or not to enjoy is the question. Thanks for coming down to the Piñata Hour. Our musical guest today is Damedas. How are you, my friend? I'm doing very good. I'm happy to be here. Your music is really nice. I've been listening to your music for a while. I really like your approach to it. Before you pick up your instruments and start recording, what do you think of it? What's your influences on it? Sometimes I kind of just hit record sometimes and I just kind of see what comes out and a lot of playbacks. So I just kind of improvise and I'll play it back and if it's something that kind of hits me, like, alright, it's good, then I kind of, you know what I'm saying, I just kind of it's all kind of not too premeditated, but it's kind of just it just comes out, I guess. I don't really plan it out. I just kind of do each instrument piece by piece when it comes to recording. What is the first instrument you... It depends. Sometimes I might like make some electronic stuff, do some programming, or sometimes I might pick up a guitar or sometimes I might have like a really strange vocal melody I like or something. It just, it all depends. It just depends. You've been playing music since what age? I've been playing for like I feel like really like since I was 12 years old. It's been... Nice. On and off. What was your first... You picked up the guitars? Yeah, yeah, I picked up guitar. Yeah, I picked up guitar and... I've always wanted to be a drummer, but my dad never wanted to buy me drums. He was like, no drums in the house. So I was like, alright, cool. Can I play guitar? Yeah, I think being a drummer is a little bit intimidating for your parents. I'm a drummer too. Oh yeah? Yeah, I play drums. I've been playing drums since I was little. Nice. But when I, you know, I told my parents the same thing. It's loud. And they're just like, no drums. A drum? Can you just pick up a... A violin? Or a guitar? Or a harmonica? They were cool with it though, right? Because they know where you're gonna go, where you're heading when you pick up a drum. So it's like, it's gonna be in a rock band, some loud shit, some punk. Gonna turn into the animal all of a sudden. It's loud. Did your parents ever take your drum set away as punishment? No, no. I would never play at home, dude. Believe it or not. I would just bring him there. Right. You know, I would just bring him to the station. Clean your room or I'll take the drum kit away. That's cool. Your parents are awesome. Yeah, they were, yeah. Yeah, they were awesome. Yeah, they were awesome. I love my parents. No, my parents are awesome too. They're just... Yeah. We already live, like, I live like really close to the airport. So we already get like all the airplane noise and shit. All the feedback noise. We're pretty used to it. It's like not even a big deal probably. Drums would have been like the cherry on top. So they were like, fuck that. No drums. Get a guitar or something. I got a guitar. So you, did you go to, did you went through your... I got a guitar. I got a guitar. I got a guitar. I got a guitar. I got a guitar. I got a guitar. I got a guitar. I got a guitar. I got a guitar. I got a guitar. I got a guitar. And this music you're making right now with Damidas, is it just you or do you have other people that you bring along to perform live? Yeah, well, my newer stuff, my newest record that I'm going to be putting out this summer, I'm actually bringing in some additional members to help me because I'm doing my first tour. So I'm excited for that. Oh, yeah. When are you going on tour? I'm going to be going June, early June. We're going to do like a West Coast tour up to Seattle, Washington, just all the way from here to there. So that's my first tour time touring. I have a lot of friends that have toured. Do you have somebody helping you setting up the tour? No, it's all going to be all self-dependent. DIY. Yeah, really DIY. But yeah, before that, I mean, all my other stuff, I've just kind of hermited myself. And yeah. Just kind of messed around. And what is the meaning behind the name of your... It's really no meaning. I was actually driving and I just thought it sounded like... Like, dame, dame. Give me more. Tiene hambre vos. Give me more sex. I mean, some people, you can take it however you want. It's really open-ended. Get more money from the door. Yeah, what is this, $20 I get? I brought 20 people. I brought 20 people here. It's 20, like, $20. Yeah. Anyways. So, yeah, when I hear your music, I feel good about it. Thank you. You know? Something about your music. I mean, I hear a lot of music. Some music makes me like, oh, I got to go crazy on this. But when I hear your music, it's pretty... I can listen to it for like... Suiting. Yeah, very suiting. Thank you. Very sexy, too. I appreciate that. Yeah, it's a very sexy music. Yeah. Right? What do you think about it, Natalie? I... I think it's definitely something to, you know, set the mood, get it on, you know? Yeah. Cool. Hey. It's cool, I mean... You attach it to a light switch with your dimmer. Oh, yeah. Neon lights. That's really... For those who are listening to the podcast right now live, we got in the table, we have... I forgot your name, little boy. Little boy. Damn. Drinking to catty. Tonya's shaking her head like, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Go ride. Yeah. Diggity-dee. Diggity-dee. I listen to the podcast later on, you know. I don't usually listen to this, like, later. English is the money language. Yeah, right? But yeah, Spanish is just... It's not romantic. It's kind of hard for me to think of. So like when I speak Spanish... I love you. Te quiero. Te amo. You're right. You're right. But I don't know. Like, I mean, that record, or not even a record, it was just an EP. It was just kind of, it was really just out of the blue. It was kind of accidental the way I made it. It was just pure accident. My wife was like, why don't you just make it a free download and put it out? And I was like, all right, I will. Fine. How long have you been married? I've been married now for almost two years. Two years, yeah. Wow. That's nice. That's cool, man. Congratulations. El charro. Thank you. He's also wearing this pretty cool charro jacket. Thank you. Where'd you get it? It's pretty cold out. That's why. Yes. It's getting chilly out. I got this in... Damn, where did I get this? I don't remember. He doesn't want to tell us. It's pretty thick. I don't know if I'm fitting it, though. You know? I look like a stuffed sausage. I'll let you try it on. I'll let you try it on. I don't want to rip it like the Hulk. We should try it off air, probably. Yeah. We'll go for it. That's pretty cool. That's cool. Tengo unos saludos, Lee. Oh, you do? Yeah, I got some saludos. All right, look. Before you do your saludos, we're going to play more of Damnedest. Yes. We're going to play Fortaleza. Is that a made-up name? Fortaleza? No, that means... Fortaleza means strength. Yeah. I didn't know that. It's a beautiful word. Not that way. And we're going to play Fortaleza, and then right after that, we're going to play Farinosu. Farinosu, yeah. Farinosu. And we're going to come back and talk about those songs as well, and we're going to talk about how your music's impact LA right now. Okay. All right? Cool. Booking's, booking's like magic How do you go about being a promoter? Like, what do you start? Where do you go? Uh, what do you, what do you pick first? I mean, you as a promoter, you wanna pick a band or anything And just go from there, or? I think it's important to be, like, totally open-minded To, like, all genres and respect them for their structure And their, like, originality Right And so far, I mean, some of the bands that I've been, like, working with lately Have been, you know, moving on tour, you know, like, putting out vinyl Or, you know, starting projects on the side And, you know, getting on, you know, great, like, you know, record nights You know, releases and everything So, that's really cool Cool I get to, I get to explore a little bit of, like, electronica and garage punk Right Is that what you, uh, wanna do? Or, you wanna do all kinds of music? Uh, I'm actually a... I started out as a, like, radio and television, like Right Host and producer But I started doing, like, this because, I don't know I felt like dealing with music was more, like, natural to me Right And, uh, I so happen to know a lot of, like, you know, musicians and artists And it's, like, so, like, amazing to see everyone come together And I feel like, um, like, Southern California has, like, a big movement And, like, independent music And I think that we're slowly starting to realize that, like, it's gonna become one big family, you know And I think... Yeah I think that's what we're trying to do Yeah, like, um, you know, I just started doing this podcast Just, no, this is awesome That's not all you've done, Lee This is cool Well, I'm not causing it But this is something that I, I kinda, like, like, I can bring, like, you guys along as well Totally Because it's, like, you know, they can hear you and they can hear your taste Of course Oh, what, what, what's out there, you know? What, what can you show us, uh, from L.A., you know? Moonshine Moonshine Damn, what is this? This is a, it's an Arnold Palmer Arnold Palmer I don't trust that Arnold Palmer And it's inside of an old, fresh and easy pasta sauce container It looks like gasoline What's up? Five bucks a gallon We, you know, what if people stopped driving for one day? What if everybody used a glass jar like this? Instead of using plastic or whatever What if people just, everybody in the world would tune into Pinata Hour, right? For just one Wednesday And not drive Just one Wednesday And, like, save gas, five bucks Free jetpacks to whoever listens to Pinata Hour Jetpacks, people Yeah, if you want a jetpack for free, call 1-800-893-9562 Jetpacks I think we have someone on hold right now From what I've We should listen to the people No, we don't got no calls No Really? Really? We don't take any calls right now You have it right here Oh, yeah? It says waiting for a call And the other one says not taking calls right now So that's it It says calls abandoned Hey, I want to give a shout out to the friend from Chile Yeah, my friend from Chile was listening I want to give a shout out to the people from Mexico and the UK Listening right now Also, I have a friend who I have a friend who's promoting a show the day after your show Balloon Park? At the Newport Show At the Newport Show And it's an art show by Odd Art You can look at his art at a-h-h-d-a-r-t.com Odd Art Hell yeah Right I don't have any other shout outs I think my friend Rhett was listening, but That's cool Yeah Props to everyone who's listening I want to ask you, Natalie What do you think of Los Angeles scene, the music? Los Angeles? You know what I've noticed? I noticed a lot of bands are The bands that probably we know each other or whatever It's like really rock and roll Kind of like Rolling Stones And I see a lot of Chuck Berry and So, yeah, I got my home right now Dropping some shirts right now Connecting Anyway, so So what do you think of Los Angeles scene right now? I think LA is like How do you like it? I love it I think it's the queen I think it's taking ownership of a great music scene Because it's so old compared to the rest of California That people are realizing, okay, that's the new mecca And Texas is doing awesome things, you know what I mean? Yeah Because they're more like I would say less business oriented They're more hippie like You know, the way they think I think it's the queen. When it When it When it When it I think we're almost there, but like there needs to be like a cohesive movement where everyone's like, let's do it. Yeah, I think there's a lot of bands. There's a lot of potential. Totally. But I don't know. I think I don't expect for a sound, a new sound to come out. You know, as long as we all get to hear it, you know. But definitely, yeah, there's different towns. I was driving here and I was driving with some people that I know right now. And we were talking about the South by Southwest. And I also know a lot of bands that came here to the show. They're there. They're up there right now. So many wizards. Yeah, they were here and also The Shrine and some other bands. I forgot the names because I'm feeling good. So what I saw is that Austin, Texas. I've been there. I've been there before. So it's like a place where you can express yourself more on the, you know. You can communicate with people through your downloads and social media and everything. But there it's very important because like people come and witness and feel the energy. Totally. Instead of feeling it through headset or speakers or something, you know. Yeah. So it's one of the best places right now. Yeah, I can't even. I can't even imagine how beautiful it is. It's a lot of fun. It's going on right now. I think I'm the only one here who's never been to Austin. I've never been. Oh, you've never been? No. I've never been. Yeah, it's nice. It's good for us. You've been there, right? Me too. South by Southwest. Yeah, I've been there twice. And I feel good when I go there. I mean. Did you do the whole week? Like just. No, I went there. On my way there. It's like you play a couple of shows on the way. There's a couple of cities you can make a stop. Texas is huge, right? Don't mess with Texas. Don't mess with Texas, man. There's like maybe three profile big cities there where you can play shows in between. And people are really nice over there. It's like if someone asked me what will be the second city you want to move, it will be Austin, Texas. Really? You know, well, from what I like, you know. We don't like you city slicks coming around. The weather, dude. The weather's great. I heard it's like an infierno. The food is infierno? Super like. Super stupid hot. Super like 200 degrees. When I went, the weather was nice. And now it gets cold. Because remember, it's kind of like a desert too, so. Yeah. It's not like Vegas. Vegas is like nasty, dry, hot. I mean. Vegas is a bit different. Yeah. Yeah. And we have a caller. Hello? All right. We got a caller. Who's calling? Yes. Yes. This is Rhett. Who's who? This is Rhett. Oh, hi. Thank you for calling Pinata Tower. This is Lee. Oh, my God. I've known Turtle for. So long. Oh, great. Yeah. He's here. I hear him on the radio. Awesome. I hear him on the radio. I'm just so happy to hear it. Thanks, man. Thanks for calling in, bro. Here's the thing. I heard that there's a free CD when you call in. Is that right? Yes. You have it right here. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Get your stash. How does that work? How does that work? I'm demanding it. You got to. Listen. You got to. We're starting to bid. Just go to the Pinata Hour. Pinata Hour. Pinata Hour. I was sitting. I was sitting down. I was weaving a whip, right? Because I'm a whip maker. And so I was weaving my whip. I put on TurboStudio.com. And I hear Turtle's voice. And I can't help. Every time I hear Turtle's voice, I got to call in. Thank you. Thank you so much. Soothing. Soothing sounds. He's a sexy man. Sounds like a man. If you see him right now, he's wearing a Y shape. You know what? It's so turd to her. Not anymore. If you want the CD, you got to ask for it in German. In German? Yeah. So ask for the CD in German. Or you know what? Take a picture of yourself. And post it on the wall. Oh, yeah. There you go. There you go. Take a picture of yourself right now. And post it on Pinata Hour on Facebook. We're on Facebook, too. I'm excited. So take a picture of yourself or share your picture. Let's go. Pinata Hour. Pinata Hour. Just link it to it. And if I see your picture there within five minutes. I'll give you five minutes. I'm on there. I'm watching you. And if I see you there right now, I know where to send this new CD. Yeah, just get his info. Nothing yet. You're telling me if I put a picture on Pinata Hour. I'm on Facebook.com. Yes. Yes. Of myself. It has to be of me. Yeah, it can be naked. Of course. You got some whipped cream in your refrigerator. Yeah, take a picture of yourself whipping something. Whipping. Okay. Take a picture with an armadillo. Then you'll get it. How do you get an armadillo? Again, no nudity. I don't know. Wednesday night. Let's repeat. No nudity. We don't want to see pictures of you with a stripper on it. No. When it comes to having pictures, I'm going to be artistic. You can't be too demanding of my art. It's a good thing. You got to flow from inside. Como que no saben. Como que no saben. So just do it, man. You got free stuff. All right. So we have another caller. We have a challenge. I'll turn it later. Later, man. Thanks for calling. Do we have another caller? Rhett Torres. I don't think so. I should have told him to take a picture with a unicorn. AKA Ready 35. Safe. That's safe. That's pretty safe. That's pretty nice. Thanks, caller. Gracias. Caller, are you there? No, I think he's gone. He's taking a picture right now. 10-4. Caller, are you there? He's going to post. I'm going to be on the lookout here. I'm right now on Piñata Hour Facebook. I think we're all trying to log on. I'm going to see if he's... Let me see. I'll look over at your computer. It'll be funny. He has a picture with Armadillo. Yeah. He got one. He got one from outside. Right. I guess we should give him at least a few minutes, right? Yeah. I told him I gave him five minutes. He's taking several different pictures. We should play like a crazy fast-paced song when he's getting his picture ready. I'm going to send him a Sketch Monster CD. Yeah. Ciao. I think what happened was... Because Damedas was talking about... He had three CDs here. Did you guys like Damedas? Did you guys hear? Yeah, dude. Oh, we took the CDs. You got to hear the other stuff. Something special, dude. What's up? Pásenla, por favor. Downstairs. Pásenla. Downstairs. Damelas. Damelas. Chingado. That's what's up, dude. We're going to make a cereal box out of that. Damelas, right? Yeah. Yeah. Damelas cereal. Damelas. Compralo ya. Yeah. It's like, get it now. Well, it sounds better in Spanish. Get it now. Hey, I like that. Damelas. Kind of like that bimbo bread, but it's bimbo. But people call it bimbo. I love it. I like that bread. I like their little snacks that you can get. You can't say bimbo. That's diabetes waiting to happen, dude. Seriously. I look in the back and the sugar levels. We're pretty low. Boston Market. Why is it so sweet, though? That's why Hispanics and blacks are like the leaders of diabetes. Fucking diabetes. We're always fucking buying them. Oh, you know what they are? They're Gansitos. They sell it at 99 cents only. Our enemies are three white things. Sugar, salt, and flour. Yeah. That's our enemies. In that order. How about those little square things? Duvalin. Duvalin. Those are pretty good. Oh, don't get into that. Why not? Why not? It's dangerous. Don't be scared. Don't be scared. I think that's got lead in it, man. It's dangerous. You think so? Yeah. Like all the candy from TJ. Oh. That's why I like it. Why you got to put it on for that? That's why I like it. I like lead supplements. I used to hustle those in sixth grade. Really? I used to eat those like crazy, man. No wonder I'm all fucked up. No spilling. No spilling. Let the lead out. Ya empezaste. Ya empezaste. Nah. So what's on the agenda, Lee? What are we doing now? Oh, we're just talking, bullshitting, killing time. We got 24 minutes. So we're going to kill it. Party. Right? Bullshit. Party. So do you have any... All right. So listen. I'm going to go here. Oh, no. And I want you to tell me what's your favorite band right now. Right now? Yeah. Favorite band's like... Chocobana. Right now. My favorite band right now is Sleep Party People. Sleep Party People. Let's look for it. Sleep Party People. And literally, after a party, when I want to go to sleep, this is what I listen to. Sleep Party People. What's the name of the song? 10 Feet Up? Start Snappin'. Let's try this. Let's see. Let's see how that goes. Let's try the top hit. All right. And I saw them, actually. I think this is what I saw them on was... This is on YouTube right now. It was on a channel called... What was that? This is pretty nice. Right? You talk about letting your... Letting the light out. Letting your muscles just relax. Just fill in. Dude, that's so... Dang. I see some guys dressing as... The video is intense. This is them playing live, too. This is Sleep Party People. This is nice. This is really exciting. So dope. They got toys. They're really professional with their equipment. I mean, look at that. Yeah. What is this here? Is this like some kind of toy? They have it kind of covered up on the video there, but it's like three keyboards. But the drummer, he's actually kicking a kick bass. Yeah. I can't remember where they're from, but they're from... They're like Norwegian. Yeah. Yeah, it looks like they're from... Not Norway, but I can't remember. Pretty close. I'm going to write this down. Yeah. I mean, that's... I mean... So what's your guys' kind of favorite right now? You got any, Lee? I got my top four. What's your top four? Hey, listen. I think we got a call in there. We have a call. Yeah. Is there a caller on the air? Yeah. I want to talk to Natalie. Yo. Hey, what's up? What's up? Marissa, are you working right now? I am working right now. Can you turn down your radio? You in the background? This is my best friend. Oh, I am listening to you guys. I don't know how to turn it down. I can hear myself. Oh, that's so weird. I can hear the feed. Anyways, I have a question. Yes. All right. If you could book anywhere in L.A., like your most primo, best spot ever, where would you book? Ooh, the best venue idea. Oh, the best venue. Is this a question? Well, you know what? This is my answer from you. This is Liam talking to you, okay? I think it depends on what, how you want to see it. Like, where are you going to make money? Where can you expose your band? As a promoter, and you want to do right by your band, so you want to make money for your band, but you also want to promote yourself. So what would be the best spot that you would have? That would be an awesome spot, and you'd also make money. Personally, it would be Los Globos. Yeah. Yeah? Yeah, they're really open-minded right now. They're kind of killing it for other venues. I don't know if you know, but... A lot. I've been hearing a lot. Everybody is doing something. I've been hearing a lot that everybody's kind of like, hey... Two nights in a row, Los Globos. I mean, it has all kinds of... It has from both worlds, from like... I danced Cumbia's in the second story on Saturday night. So that's my opinion. What about you, Chocobana? Yeah. I say Los Globos. Oh, okay. You agree with that. I agree. That's nice. I... I... Marissa, what do you... You never... Have you been to? Not yet. I think I have. But like, you've already played there. Like, what's somewhere that you haven't ever been to, but you hope someday? Like an awesome place. I see. Like, is Los Globos the best place you can get? Well, you know what? It's... Well, so far for the bands, they have a great sound, great lighting. The sound guy is not a dick. Um... They have their own sound guy that is always there, and it looks like they're pretty happy with the one they have right now. Yeah. Because before that, they had a few other guys, but they went through, like, really quick. Yeah. And it looks like this sound guy is working with them. The dudes at the door, they're not like a bunch of assholes, security guard work. You know what I mean? And also, the promoters that they put in shows there, they're like different... different vibes, different... different sounds and genres, you know? Totally. I think that... I think the echo would be probably like... Yeah. Yeah. ...the next spot. They got a lot of great shows. Yeah, I've heard a lot about that place. But yeah. That's the Oscar. I think those are the only two venues I'm... Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, the... the bouncer actually at Los Globos told me how to make a killer steak on Monday nights. Oh. Oh, see? Yeah. He got swag points for that. Really? Yeah. I just... One more question, now. I just wanted to see what you... Do you have any horror stories? You got a marriage... I'm sorry, what? ...in three hours and... Do you have any, like, horror stories? Things that went wrong when you were trying to book? Like, weird people that you had to deal with. Oh, that's a hard question. Yeah. Bands? Like, either a band that was being, like, weird or, like... Yeah, we've... ...tried to book with somebody in there. We have. We've... We actually have. We actually had one band and I... I'm not gonna say their name, you know, because it's paid true respect to them. But we had one band cancel on probably, like, one of the, like, most important nights for, like, Chalk Yvonne. Yeah. Which was when we booked the O season. My homie came up to me and he was like, hey, you know, I need a band because so-and-so dropped out. So, like, I was, like, totally hitting, like, you know, the artist that I thought would fit on the bill and that would be, like, determined to do it and... Which were, I felt, deathlents. And it so happened to... Polonies were there, chilling with them and then they... What was the name of the band again? Deathlents. Oh. Deathlents. Deathlents. And then... Deathlents. Yeah, I mean, it was cool because they collaborated with me. They collaborated on the set. They split it and they created Death Honey. So, I think that's super cool. Yeah. But I don't know. That's probably the hardest, like, getting someone to hit you up last minute and, like, help them out. But not only did you, like, compensate for that really big band, but, like, a totally new project, so... For sure. Yeah. Well, cool. If you wanted to call and ask those questions, you gotta go back to work. Thank you for calling. That was nice. Thanks for calling Pina Tower. Thank you. For sure. Talk to you guys later. Bye. That's a good example of listening to Skid Row Studios while you're at work. While you're at work. Yeah. I wonder what she does. She's a barista. You can get Skid Row Studios on your phone now, you know. Totally. We have applications on Stitcher. Stitcher's the one, the main one. We're on iTunes, too. Go ahead and drop a little review about this show later. Yeah. I didn't know that. Surprise, huh? Surprise. It's Pina Tower. Everywhere. Everywhere on your face. Orale. Oh, hey, what? Whoa. 60 minutes. I have some tunes for you guys, my top four bands. All right. I want to play like a little, un dulce de cada canción. All right. Let's just play. Is that ready? Yeah. No. Wait. OK. Well, we're going to play a little bit of this here. This is something that hits me in my head. Maybe. I don't know if you know this guy. I haven't heard that song in a long ass time 2003 Wow Wow He's taking us back Alright so that was a nice request right there I like that I wonder what they're doing now Probably taking a long break They went to Coachella They went to Coachella maybe like 2006 or 5 years ago or something like that Maybe Alright so now we got Chocoboni What do you have for us? What do you want to feature? Well I have my top 4 right now Let's just play Let's play 1 Let's just do 1 right now Just 1? Out of all Yeah Let's see what you got Yeah Yeah Alright! Cosmonauts. Oh, okay. Cool. Where are they from? They're from Fullerton, actually. Oh, nice. What's the name of the band again? It's Cosmonauts. The Cosmonauts. Yeah. Wow, that sounds pretty cool. That was Psychic Denim. Turn it up a little bit. Let's hear a little bit more. Give it up. Give it up. Yeah. Give it up. Give it up. The Cosmonauts. Cosmonauts. From Fullerton. From Fullerton. That's nice. We played with them at Le Keg, like, the old Le Keg. Wow. Wow. Really good. Did she say Le Keg? Yeah, she said Le Keg. That's a gallery on Glendale. Glendale. Under the bridge. Next to First Space, actually. Yeah. First Space. That's pretty cool. Remember that one time I started to chant? Oh, yeah. I started to chant. Walking to the Echoplex. Walking to the Echoplex. That's funky. I was chanting it, man. That's on YouTube somewhere. Oh, yeah. That's got to be somewhere out there. All right. So that was The Cosmonauts. And all right. Something that... This is a band that I saw when they came up. And I was like, I don't know about these guys. Like, all right. I don't know. I was not really into them. Really? But then lately, I was like, let me listen to this again. And I started listening. And I was like, oh, all right. I get them now. And this is the song that... It came to my head. What's the band name? I'm not going to tell you right now. What the fuck? All I can tell you is they're playing at Coachella. Cool. So there we go. Maybe you know. I'm sure. Black Keys. Why? Yeah. Yeah, so this is the real songs. Yeah, they got it. Yeah. I like that guy dancing. Yeah. I like that. See that guy. That's what caught my eye. Right? So smart. The leader is so smart. It's like the Carlton from Fresh Prince. Yep. Sick ass dance. Can't wait, Lee. You going? Yeah. What? Yeah. I said I can't wait. So you going, right? Yeah, I'm going to go. I saw you posting pictures about you get your bracelets. Layaway plan, dude. That's the way to do it. How did they play on the first, second day? I think Saturday. Right? Yeah. Hmm. Yo. This is a pretty cool Coachella because they got like Dr. Dre in it. Yeah. That's fucking insane. Yeah. I mean, Sabbath would have been cool though. Sunday. Yeah. Sunday? What do you mean? Sabbath. I thought you were supposed to play Sunday. Yeah, but one of the guys got cancer. Got some. So they got Snoop Dogg. Dogg. And Dr. Dre. I want to sneak one in right now. All right. What? Okay. So I have here my second pick. It's Mr. Elevator in the Brain Hotel. All right. And this is called Nico. Nico. Nico. Nico. Nico.! I love organ. It's almost Dorsey. You feel horny, baby. Very 60s psychedelic. It tickles. That goes. He has wings. That goes. That goes. That goes. That goes. That goes. That goes. That goes. That goes. That goes. That goes. That goes. Yeah, this is what I was talking about. That's what I was talking about. Yeah. Where are these guys from? These guys are from Echo Park. The Elevator and what? It's Mr. Elevator and the Brain Hotel. Shout out to Lollipop Records. Cool. So we got now Burger Records. I think we should probably get this. Dude, it's Lollipop Records. Yeah. They're putting out some good stuff. Well, they're putting out the next two bands following, but you should probably introduce something. Okay, let's say their names. Like, what are the names of the bands you were? About to? Yeah. Polonies and Nature's Son. All right. And what's the other one? We had Cosmonauts, Mr. Elevator, and the Brain Hotel. And then we still have Polonies and Nature's Son. That's a cool name. Mr. Elevator. And the Brain. Brain Hotel. Reminds me of Pinky and the Brain. Remember that cartoon? Oh, yeah. It sounds... What are we getting into tonight? Brainy. I don't know. It sounds just right for the music they're making right now. It's... Seeing them live is a whole different dimension. It's not even... I want to see the audience. Is that a, what, a Casio or a Roland? It's probably the most expensive piece of equipment I've seen. Sounds like it. I can tell. It's really expensive. You can tell. All right. So that was them. I also want to play this video here. It's called... It's supposed to say walk in, but it says something else here. It said walk into the echo place. Dude, where'd you find this? This is my friend Turtle. This is something that he was just talking about. It was a social experiment that went awry. Yeah. Listen up. Walk in from the echo place. Walk in from the echo place. Walk in from the echo place. Walk in from the echo place. Walk in from the echo place. Walk in from the echo place. Walk in from the echo place. When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When it When This is where Leke used to be at the beginning. And this place was run by Leti Lesmin. She's from Blue Jungle and Pablo. And they used to throw parties at this little small gallery. Maybe like 30 people fit in there. Wow. Those are the best shows. Yeah, yeah, definitely. But then the owner got mad and just kicked him off. And then they went down the street and they opened another small space. Totally. But, yeah, those were good times, man. That was crazy, huh? I never knew there was a video here. Yeah. 104 views. And so I was singing it to people as they're walking by, like walking to the Echoplex. I was just saying that, singing it to them. And then when they were leaving, I was saying that. And then people came outside and they're like, oh, they started just like chiming in and singing along. And then before you know it, everybody's singing it and screaming at people. So they're walking by and we're kind of quiet. As soon as they get in front of us, we all start chanting this. That's awesome. Started a monster. That was fun. That's awesome. All right. Check in the piña tower. And this guy didn't send a picture. So I guess he's not going to get it now. You're on there right now? No, he's. Yeah, I'm on it right now. Hey, listen, I want to thank Natalie Bonilla, Chokey Bana. Thank you. Banana. Thanks for coming down. That's pretty cool to have you here. Totally. Frank. That's going to stay with you. You can come back anytime. It was a great time, man. Yeah, yeah. It's a party. I like the cosmonauts and all that.
