That's a new single.
New single from their upcoming LP, of which the name is that I don't know.
If I do know this, it's out on the True Thoughts label.
That's a warm tune, man.
They're from Brooklyn.
Easier by Space Captain.
Be on the lookout for them.
Prior to that, we heard Sina, Degadu.
Across City People is the name of that tune.
That one smokes, man.
There's not a lot of music by her out there.
I got that tune from a...
a good compilation.
There's actually a series of compilations called the Craig Charles Funk and Soul Club.
That's, uh...
I got that off of number three, right?
From Kragana.
Sina, Degadu.
That's available on Freestyle Records.
And we began the set.
Robert and the Half-Truths.
They're from Nashville, right?
Uwe is the name of that tune from the I'm Tryin' LP out, uh...
at Lester on the GED Soul record label.
Produced by Nick Devan at Poor Man Studios out there in Nashville.
Loved them.

The Western Transient.
Also, I don't...
True Thoughts.
You get so many, uh...
You get consumed by the daily problems.
Wrapped up in things.
You create lives with people.
Those lives are over.
Sometimes there's a, uh, morning period after.
You got your ups, your downs, but all this while...
All the while in Los Angeles, you're like, I'm gonna still...
Traffic keeps going down the freeways past you.
Time will take you on, Jack.
Time will take you on.
All right?
Next up, I'm gonna play, uh, Sly and the Family Stone.
This is, uh...
Original record was out in 1973, but they put out, um, a few years ago.
Actually, like, five, six years ago.
Five, six years ago.
Six, seven years ago.
They put out a...
They released the record Fresh with a bunch of different mixes and outtakes and things like that.
And this is the alternative mix on, uh, the Sly and the Family Stone tune, Skin I'm In.
The Fresh record is kind of one of the...
It did okay in its time.
It's a little bit less of the party records that he put out before this.
A little bit more hard funk.
Anyway, this tune...
This tune's deep.
Man, I think you'll dig it.
Skin I'm In.
If you don't know it already.
After that, I'm gonna play Average White Band with, uh, Groovin' the Night Away.
And, uh...
Groovin' the Night Away.
What else can I say about that one?
I'm gonna follow it up with, uh, War.
East L.A.
is the name of the tune that I'm gonna play.
I'm their best of.
And then, uh, Billy Stewart.
Billy Stewart.
My favorite soul and R&B...
singer, Billy Stewart, wrapping up this set.
So, uh...
Have a seat.
Take your shoes off.
Enjoy.

Nobody move, there's blood on the floor And I can't find my heart Where did it go, did I leave it in the cold?

Just to watch you throw away the trash I've been struggling so long, I don't think I can hold on Ooh, ooh, ooh Where were you when I needed you the most?
Now I'm sitting here with a black hole in my chest A heartless, broken mess Ooh, ooh, ooh Ooh, ooh, ooh Ooh, ooh, ooh Ooh, ooh, ooh Ooh, ooh, ooh Ooh, ooh, ooh Ooh, ooh, ooh Ooh, ooh, ooh Ooh, ooh, ooh Thank you.

So, uh, board operator slash kind of producer, Jenny, that's the band Pleasure.
Love it.
Ghettos of the Mind is the name of the tune.
I got that from their Best Of record.
Guess what their Best Of record's called.
Uh, Ghettos of the Mind?
The Greatest of Pleasure.
Oh.
So...
Loved Ones, I'm a big fan of, like, the neo-soul genre in the, uh, late 90s, early 2000s, but the problem I have with it is kind of a trendy recording thing where they use that heavy bass, that heavy 808 bass, and they just kind of killed the tune.
But, uh, Jill Scott just, uh, released a bunch of, uh, remastered tunes without that heavy, heavy bass.
It's just a good, solid mix.
I think you're gonna dig it.
This is my favorite tune called, uh, from her.
It's called It's Love.
Dig it.
They say I'm crazy The way you got me open, baby Ooh They say I'm buggin' The way I'm type-sweatin' your lovin' Ooh They all sit and wonder why This feelin' I cannot hide It ain't a question of pride Ooh It's love Ooh It's love They say I'm trippin' The way you got my whole life flippin' Ooh Ooh They say I'm trippin' It's love Ooh Ooh It's love Ooh It's love Ooh It's love It's love Ooh It's love Ooh It's love It's love It's love Ooh It's love It's love Ooh It's love Ooh It's love Ooh Ooh It's love It's love La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla alla Give it to me, give it to me, give it Do you want it on your rice and gravy?
