So thanks you guys.
Good to see you.
And so there, let's see, continuing.
One thing I want to say about tonight's show is it's going to bring up a few questions about what it means to have a body.
Let me just get into that in a moment.
So a couple of things I've, uh, of information.

And I'm on Twitter.
And also I am chriscahill.com.
So there's lots of different ways to learn about what we do around here.
And, uh, really we are real radio on the internet.
My show tonight or this afternoon into tonight is called get in your body.
And what does that mean?
So, you know, when, when I tell people I'm a psychic and they don't know me, a lot of them assume off the bat that I'm kind of one of those floaty, you know, new agey types until they meet me.
And I'm like, well, I'm not a new agey.
I'm not a new agey.
I'm not a new agey.
And they realize, no, she's really not.
And I don't mind the floaty new agey types.
I have a lot of, some of my friends are floaty new agey types.
That's fine.
But that's kind of never been my, my way of doing things.
And when I was trained to be a clairvoyant, when I went through my training back in 2000 at a school in Chicago called Envision, one of the things that really was inspiring or interesting or wonderful to me is that this training was about being able to bring your body, you know, your body, your body, your body, your body, your body, your body, your body, everyday body that you walk around with or drag around sometimes, but to bring it with you on your spiritual journey.
It's not like you're trying to go be this spirit way up there floating around and not making your life real.
It's about making things real in your life.
And what, what things do you want to make real?
Well, how about being healthy for one or creating the kind of work you want to create, the kind of whether, whether you're working as an artist, another kind of creator, you're, you have a business, whatever it is that you do, being able to make that real and to make that work for you, your relationships, your home, your way of living in life, you know, being able to have what you want because your body is right here right now in present time.
And the more you work with yourself, body and spirit, the easier it is for you to create and manifest and make those things real.
And I'm kind of a, you know, I'm a realist.
I like to, I'm a realist.
I like to, I'm a realist.
I like to, I'm a realist.
I like to, I like to have things real, but I'm also very much a spiritual person.
I'm very interested in how do you, how do you grow and how do we work with energy?
And I'm, and I'm psychic.
So I see things and I'm looking at things and I'm aware of them.
And you might be too.
And it might be that it's, it's stuff that you've been sort of conscious of on some level and it's been in the background or the back burner.
And it could be that for you, like for many other people, that has become more interesting.
You've actually been finding that you're, your interest in other, in energy and in spirit and things like that are, is coming more to the front, is starting to move forward.
And then like many of the people I know and people I've met, my clients, my students and others I've gone to school with, you might be somebody who's always been very sensitive to energy and it's taken you a little bit out of your body.
It may be that you had to, in order to get a hold of any of your abilities, you had to become safer in your body.
And so I think that's a really good point.
And I think that's a really good point.
So I'm a firm believer in bring the two together, body and spirit.
I might've told this, this little story on one of my shows before, but it's one of my favorites lately.
It's something I, a picture I started seeing this year.
So many people go into mindfulness as, you know, I've got to control my mind and I've got to, you know, figure out what my, you know, direct my mind and all the rest of it.
And we all have very active and wonderful minds.
We do need our, our brains, you know, and our minds and our intelligence and our intellects.
And we need all of that.
But often what happens is we listen to something that we're thinking rather than something that we're feeling.
So because the mind has been the thing that's been validated, I'm going to go and, you know, my intuition is telling me this thing, turn right.
And my brain is saying, well, wait a minute, that doesn't make any sense.
And it might make, more sense to do this.
And, you know, you start to listen to something where a gut feeling might have told you something different.
And so your spirit was saying one thing and then your brain counteracts it.
And this happens a lot.
It happens to all of us.
And it's not that it's necessarily a bad thing.
It's just that, that mind listening to the mind or your brain talking nonstop, by the way, your, your chatter, mind chatter, we'll do that if you let it.
When you do that, it's not a bad thing.
It's not a bad thing.
It's not a bad thing.
It's not a bad thing.
When you forget to listen to the rest of you, you can kind of forget what else you have.
You really can.
Anybody out here know what I'm talking about?
Everybody in the booth is nodding their heads.
Yes.
I was just saying, I was telling one of my, one of my friends a while ago, imagine it this way.
It came up with the two of us were talking about this and we were both hitting some level of this.
And I said, I kind of like to think of it this way, that you, the spirit, that's you, the spirit, that's you, the spirit, that's you, the your energy, your spirit, your, all the levels of you, you're the one driving the car and you, the body are sitting next to you in the front seat, kind of, you know, going along for this pleasant journey.
Here we go.
Let's, we're driving this together.
And you can tell your mind to go sit in the back seat and not be a backseat driver.
You need your mind.
You definitely need your analytical part of you, your brain, all of that.
Very important.
But if it starts, to take over and you go into the fear pictures that, that we, you know, sometimes we go into like, oh no, what if it doesn't work?
And what if I'm not good enough?
What if this doesn't happen?
What if blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
What if, what if, what if it doesn't make sense?
I don't know.
I'm not, no, no, no, no.
And you go into all that and you forget to really listen to the other part of you.
That's very, very helpful and is giving you true information, which is your spirit.
And then also your body.
So get in your body.
My theme for tonight is a lot about this.
I can't wait.
Now, just to remind you, if you just join me, this is a prerecorded show on Wednesday, December 4th, 2013.
And I am currently live on Monday, December 2nd.
I know that's all confusing, but I am taking calls.
If you are, if you'd like a reading about your mind body connection, your, your actually body spirit connection, 800-893-9562.
You're listening to Psychic Every Day.
at skidrowstudios.com, real radio on the internet.
And I am your host, Chris Cahill.
Now, continuing.
So get in your body is really all about making friends with, listening to, loving and healing your own body.
What does it mean to be in your body?
What is it?
What exactly do I mean by that?
Like, Hey, you know, Chris, what do you mean by that?
I mean, I'm not a, I'm not a, I'm not a, I'm not a, I'm not a, I'm not a, I'm not a, I'm not a, I'm not a, I'm not a, I'm not a, I'm not a, I'm not a, I'm not a, I'm not a, I'm already in my body.
I'm walking around.
I'm here.
Well, actually you might think you're in your body sometimes that you're not in your body.
And as you start to listen to what I'm, what I have to say, start to look for yourself and ask yourself your own questions about this.
Sometimes there's all kinds of other energies that, that any of us carry around that get in the way of our communication with, or our ability to really access our own body's wisdom, our own information on a body.
It's a lot of different things.
It's a lot of different things.
It's a lot of different things.
level.
And those things can just include, you know, being busy.
This is really natural.
It's like part of what we do every day.
You know, you're busy, you have a schedule, there are things you have to get done.
And if you're being super, super man or super woman, you're out there trying to do a lot of things at once.
And you can go through those days where all of a sudden you sit down and realize, oh God, I haven't even really, you know, fed myself properly for dinner or for the day, or taking care of myself, or all of a sudden you realize how tired you are.
And on those days when you do that, you might've not really been being in your body, but you had your body to actually get everything done.
And that's obvious.
You know, like when your body's doing well, when it feels good and you're healthy, you don't really think about it as much.
You just go, that's great.
You know, here it is.
I have, you know, and you might've done a lot of work to get to that point.
You might be doing a daily good maintenance on your body, but you're not really doing a good where you feed yourself and you get enough sleep and you do consciously take care of yourself so that when you need your body on those days where you have to go, go, go, go, go, it's there.
And that's, that's a good thing to remember, but also to remember that the more you take on, on those daily jaunts through life, everything you're doing, the more your body takes it on too.
What I mean by that is this, you as a body are, you're always in one place.
You're always in the present moment.
This is where you are.
Your body is always right here.
But you as a being, you as the spirit, the energy can be in countless places at once.
So you can be still in the past in a number of places in the past, part of your energy.
You can be off in the future.
Those things you haven't done yet or created, but you're going to, and you're already, you've already got, your energy out there and you can be in a lot of different places at once right now.
So you can be still in a meeting you were in yesterday, or you could be, you could already be in another event you're going to be doing, you know, later today.
You might be, and I've found myself doing this when I, you know, I've been guilty of this many times.
I will be at the shoe store and yet my body's not at the shoe store.
I'm at the shoe store going, oh yeah, I wonder if they have those boots that da, da, da, da, da, you know, and it's just a funny thing.
Or, or ahead to another errand or something else you have to do.
And you know this, you know, you're able to be in many places at once.
That's how capable you are.
It's not a bad thing.
It's not a negative, but what ends up happening when you do that and you forget to come back to your own self, your own body, your space, is that you kind of sometimes lose track of where you're at.
You lose track of what's happening and you may lose your energy that way too.
So, you've got to find present time, like what's, you know, where's the most powerful position to be in, the most powerful place.
Be in your body.
Be in present time with you.
And just because you can be many places at once doesn't mean you have to be.
Here's another example.
Let's say you've been dealing with some stressful situations, which if you're a human being in 2013, you have been.
I'll just put it that way.
And everybody deals with stressful situations in different ways and it just, it depends on the stressful situations and, you know, what's involved and who's involved and what's happening.
When you are in, are dealing with so many of these things at once, your energy can get a little scattered.
And it could be that you're trying to solve this problem over here and then you've got that person over there breathing down your neck and it's, doesn't feel good.
You know, that's, that's the key to remember, like listening to how does it feel.
It may not feel good.
Might not feel like you're, you know, in a happy place.
It might not feel like you're, you know, in a happy place with that energy.
You might feel that there's a weight on your space or that you're, you know, feeling a little guilty or a little bit kind of worried about what's happening with those, you know, with that person or those people.
And so you're stuck in the energy a little bit.
And when you're stuck in the energy, it means that the energy is also stuck in you.
Another way I put it to responsible people, and I work with a lot of them, people who become very responsible, are people who are very responsible for their energy.
And I work with a lot of them, for what, for what's happening with other people or the world.
You know, they want to heal everything.
They want to take it all on.
You might recognize yourself here.
I don't know.
But anyway, when, when you do that, when you become responsible and try to fix and heal and solve, you're taking on the energy, the weight of whatever it is you've been doing.
And you might just think, oh, I'm good.
I know I can handle that.
I'm emotionally strong.
I can deal with it.
But my question to you is, did you ask your body if it wants to take it on?
Because every time you do take that stuff on, the actual part of you that really handles it on some level is your body.
You put it somewhere.
You do put it in your own space.
And your body is always trying to tell you things.
It's always trying to communicate with you.
So your body might be politely ringing the doorbell saying, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
Trying to tell you something, you know, or knocking on the door, ringing the bell, and maybe tweeting, you know, hey, hey, you know, your body tweeting to you in 140 characters, whatever.
Hey, listen to me.
I'm trying to get you to, you know.
And your body's always talking to you.
And sometimes when you listen, you know that you're, you know, hey, I'm tired.
I really need to just rest.
I'm just, no, I have to listen to this.
I got to take it easy.
Or I really, this is one of my favorite things I've always, when I started learning to listen to my body, and this has never failed me, I will have a very strong craving for a particular thing.
And it might be weird.
And I'm like, I have to eat that.
I have to go eat that thing.
Here's an example.
I grew up being fed a lot of milk and I never liked milk.
I hated milk.
I just didn't like it.
As a kid, I would find a way to give it to the dog.
It just, it just made me sick.
I didn't like it at all.
So as I never even thought about it, I never bought milk as an adult.
And then a couple of years ago, I knew about raw milk.
You know, raw milk is different from the pasteurized stuff you can buy in the grocery store.
And raw milk has been becoming more and more popular and people talk about it, but I didn't pay much attention to it.
It's just that all of a sudden my body started saying, I want raw milk.
I'm like, but you've never had raw milk.
You don't know what that's like.
You don't like milk.
And my body was like, no, I want raw milk.
I just was craving it.
So there's an organic grocery in my neighborhood and I go there and they carry it, which is unusual because most places do not.
And in California, you can buy it legally and you cannot buy it legally in most states in the country.
I went and bought raw milk.
I drank it.
I went, oh my God, what was I missing?
I had no idea.
This is so completely different from what I grew up with.
And this was me listening to my body and it was also my intuition.
And I don't drink it all the time, but now once in a while, when I know I want raw milk, I go get it and I drink it and it's very healing for me.
So that's just one example.
If I had convinced my body that it was wrong, I wouldn't have had that experience.
And it's kind of fun.
I'm proud of myself for that because believe me, I had to overcome some really big, you know, ew, hatred of milk in order to do that.
Now for you, it could be a completely different story.
And you're trying to tell yourself something or your body's trying to tell you something and you've got to listen.
It'll really make it easier for you if you can.
And how you do that is going to be different than I would, or perhaps than how somebody, else would, but you can find your own way.
Now, another reason why it's a great idea to listen to your body is because you can heal yourself.
It's much, much easier to create healing in your own space.
And you know, that's physically, emotionally, spiritually, intellectually, to create healing for yourself when you listen and your body is always telling you what it is.
And that's what I'm talking about.
And I think that's what I'm talking about.
And I think that's what I'm talking about.
And I think that's what I'm talking about.
And I think that's what I'm talking about.
And I think that's what I'm talking about.
And I think that's what it needs if you'll listen to it.
So if you haven't been listening for a while and you've been listening to other people outside of you, you know, for trying to get your information from them, or you've been convinced since you were a child that you don't know how to work your body, that somebody else does, you know, your doctor or this specialist or that person or that therapist, they know how to work you, you don't.
And we were all kind of convinced, that we didn't have the skills or the tools to heal ourselves or to really listen to our own bodies, which is really kind of sad, you know, and when you start to change it, when you start to actually pay attention, you start to realize that you do know, and then you really know who you want to go to as well.
And we still need good healers.
You know, everybody, you know, everyone's got their own way of working with their bodies or healing themselves.
But when you become a healer, you're not going to be the same person you were when you were a healer.
You're going to be the same person you were when you were a healer.
And when you become more conscious about how you are listening and what your body really wants and what it really needs, then you become the expert of your own body, rather than the thinking it's constantly outside of you.
I have one of my favorite yoga teachers, my friend Liz McDonald, her favorite, one of my favorite expressions of what she says sometimes in yoga classes, most people know more about what's going on with their cars than they do with their own bodies.
And I think that's a really good thing.
And I think that's a really good thing.
And she's right about that.
People know how to work all kinds of amazing appliances and, you know, electronics and vehicles and create things outside of themselves, but they can be at a great loss when it's in the body or in themselves.
That doesn't make them weak or stupid or wrong, not at all.
It's just that there is a whole different way of seeing it.
And when it's very personal and you have a hard time seeing what's happening with yourself, you can get scared and you need some assurance or some help, or somebody who can say hello to you.
But when you continue to give up your expertise and knowingness of your own body to other people, then you're going to be a great amount of profit for the pharmaceutical industry.
I'll tell you that.
And that's one thing that they depend on.
It's good to have the things you need when you need them.
That includes good drugs or good, you know, healthcare or hospitalization or all of that.
But what if you don't need it so much?
Because you don't have the things you need when you need them.
Because you start to heal yourself.
I never tell people to stop taking any kind of antibiotics or drugs or prescriptions that they're on.
But I hear from them all of the time telling me that once they started healing themselves, they were able to let go of certain things.
And it's on their schedule over their time.
I've seen it repeatedly since I first started studying this kind of work in 1999.
Students who would come up to me and say, you know what?
I never told you I was on antibiotics.
I never told you I was on antibiotics.
I never told you I was on antibiotics.
I never told you I was on antibiotics.
I never told you I was on antibiotics.
I never told you I was on antidepressants.
But I'm now I'm not on them anymore.
And I haven't been for two years and I'm fine.
You know, thanks to grounding and thanks to working with energy and thanks to healing myself.
And they really don't have anybody to thank but themselves for being that courageous and starting to go down that path.
Everything is energy.
That includes you.
That includes your body.
That includes your spirit.
And that includes your ability to heal yourself.
When you start to be in touch with your own self, you're going to be able to heal yourself.
And that includes your ability to heal yourself.
On every level, you just start to really get to know who you are.
And you start listening to your body and it doesn't have to be perfect.
It's just simply listening and starting to follow what you're hearing.
You change the way the energy is inside of you and you change the way you heal.
And you might decide that, well, you know what?
My body really wants acupuncture or it really needs to go to a good chiropractor or I really need to do this.
But you'll be able to direct yourself a little bit better than feeling helpless about it.
And how do you start being in your body and getting in your body?
Again, listening.
Listening is the key.
And even if you start to listen and you find you're not getting much of a response, don't worry about it.
Keep listening.
Keep communicating and listening.
And when I tell people or suggest to them that they start to listen to their own bodies, one of the things I will say...
Say hello.
Say hello to your body.
Start off with that.
And once you go from that point, that hello, hello is consciousness.
Hello is I'm acknowledging you're here right now.
I see you.
We often give our bodies orders.
We're kind of towing them around on a leash or demanding.
I often see a picture of people kind of holding up a remote pointing at their body saying, do this, do that, body, do this.
And then when their body can't do everything that they keep ordering them to do, they get mad.
They find their bodies wrong or there's something wrong with them.
No, there's nothing wrong with your body.
It's just that you don't have communication going on.
And maybe your body doesn't want you to be giving it orders all the time.
Maybe it wants you to listen a little bit too.
So people start getting into the, what's wrong?
I have a bad body.
My body is gaining weight.
My body's doing this.
My body's doing that.
And I'll say, really?
Well, how about not making it wrong to start with?
One of the greatest ways you can get into your own body and start to really make friends with it is to not make it wrong.
I have a piece I wrote a while ago called, is it time for peace talks with your body?
And one of the words I started using at this point when I started writing a lot of stuff about this was just that sometimes people make their bodies, their frenemies.
They're friendly with their body, but it's kind of an enemy.
It's not really on track with them.
So they might not trust their own bodies.
They might not trust what it is they're able to have or be or create in the body.
So, once you begin to understand that, you're going to start to understand that there's a lot of to listen really nicely, kindly, you know, start to practice listening and you begin to communicate with your own body.
You do create health for yourself on all levels and physically, emotionally, spiritually, and mentally, all levels of being and more.
And you can create more, more amusement within your own body and more self-love.
And you can have more energy as well.
And then that gives you what you need to go create more of what you want to create in the world.
This is Chris Cahill.
I am Chris Cahill and you're listening to Psychic Everyday Radio at skidrowstudios.com.
We are real radio on the internet and you're listening to a pre-recorded show.
If you're tuning into my regular time on Wednesday, December 4th, I'm doing a show about get in your body.
And if you are listening to me now, if you're here on skidrowstudios.com here on Monday, December 2nd, you can call in for a reading if you'd like 1-800-893-9562.
Just letting you know a little bit about the show.
I'm here live most Wednesdays from seven till eight o'clock Pacific time, PM Pacific time.
And through the month of December, I'll be doing a number of different shows about working with body and spirit communication.
So kind of a little bit of a show.
I'm going to be doing a number of different of how do you increase your ability to be psychic and have your own energy and your own abilities and all of that available to you by working with all the parts of you.
And I see it as body, spirit communication.
So the week of December, I think the show is Wednesday, December 11th, I'll be doing a show on grounding yourself.
And I want to touch on that a little bit with this show today too.
Grounding yourself.
Grounding is a technique.
I'll be getting more next week.
But grounding is a technique that you can use to really help heal and protect and give yourself a space.
When you start to practice grounded meditation, it's easier to step out of the overthinking and into the becoming.
And that's the point of getting in your body is actually you can become.
It's more of a becoming.
So now increasing your communication, with your body by letting go of the interference that comes in between you and your body.
I've been kind of talking about this a little bit.
And the kinds of interference can be just demands on your energy.
Just as something as simple as what should you be doing with your own energy?
What is the demand on what you're supposed to be doing?
And you know this, especially when you go through times in your life where you just don't want to do those things anymore.
Where you've been all of a sudden you realize, I just can't go to that job anymore.
It's just not working for me.
It's exhausting.
It's draining me.
I have to figure something else out.
And it's a demand in your space and it affects you physically.
It affects you emotionally.
It affects you on every level.
And you know when you start to let go of some of those demands, you know like a demand that you're that you be a certain way or direct your energy a certain way.
And you just can't.
You're just, you're not done.
And you start to let go of those demands.
It makes it easier for you to access yourself more fully and to have more energy and to have more fun and to create and to feel good.
And that's what being in your body will do for you.
You know, you can see a lot of times when people are, when they have different kinds of agreements with their bodies, you can just see it.
There might be an agreement in a family, group where the body is a certain way.
You know, maybe there's a family that you see and everybody in that family has an agreement to be, to exercise.
You know, maybe they're all jocks or they're really, you know, sporty.
They go out and do stuff or they ride bikes or they run or they do things.
And that's an agreement.
And everybody in the family, it's just normal.
Like this is what you do.
And then there can be the family where nobody does that.
It's, you know, just, just like, why bother?
It's not even that people are against it.
It's not even that people are against it.
It's not even that people are against it.
It's not even that people are against it.
It's not even that people are against it.
So much as there's not a consciousness about this is something to do.
It's a different way of being in the body.
But you could also have, you know, like one family being very active, but not being very emotional and another one choosing to have more of the emotion present.
So it's not that one is good and one is wrong, just that there are choices.
So when you look at your communication with your own body and how you choose to have your body and how you choose to be in your body, you're going to see that there's a lot of different ways that you can be in your body.
You're going to run into all these other demands.
You know, what other people say is the right thing to do.
Not to mention the fact that we live in a time with some of the most toxic messages for bodies ever, especially for young girls and for women, but men have it too, just in terms of what your body is supposed to be like and how you're supposed to really care about what other people think about your body.
And that's more important than how you feel about your body.
And that's what I'm talking about.
So, you know, go on, starve yourself or do this to yourself or wear these things that you don't want to wear, but they, you know, that's supposed to be what you wear in order to be seen as being beautiful.
And when you change your way of seeing that, when you, the person in charge of that body, you know, or the one who can be, when you start to change how you see your own self and you don't need the other people around you to approve of that.
It's more about you seeing yourself as being this is how I am going to be.
I'm going to have my body.
I'm going to be in charge of this.
I'm going to love it.
This is exactly who I am.
That's a hard thing to do.
You know, that's, that's work.
That's work we all have.
But when you start to do that, it makes it easier for other people to do it too.
But more importantly than that, it heals you because it's really hard to walk around with judgment all over you.
And that's one of the big energies that comes through with a lot of modernity.
Modern advertising.
I think I brought this up last week too, but one of my favorite new Twitter campaigns is a hashtag not buying it.
And hashtag not buying it is being directed against different companies whose advertising uses bodies in particular female bodies in a very just nasty way.
You know, just using the body to sell a product.
And it's usually a woman's body, you know, and hashtag not buying it is how people are, fighting back men and women saying, no, you know what?
This is really offensive to me.
I'm just, I'm just not going to buy your product.
That's what advertising is designed to do.
It's designed to make you and I, you know, you and me and all the rest of us, we're all, everybody here, we're supposed to feel like we need this thing.
Or if I have this thing, then I will be good enough.
I will be beautiful enough.
I will be desirable enough.
I will have enough of what I think I want.
But what if you could just cut out the middleman, you know, all those crappy advertisers and, you know, reward the good ones, the ones who use really fun and interesting advertising that's much more intelligent.
And you did that by simply not buying the stuff that didn't work for you because you found it offensive because all of a sudden you decided, oh, you know what?
I'm tired of having this, you know, advertising telling me that I need to be a size four when there's no way I'm going to be a size four.
That would hurt me.
That's just not how it works.
And then, you know, the person who is the size four, who's normally a size four saying, well, yeah, what's the big deal?
This is just my size.
So it gets, it becomes like this contest or this competition and a real negative, a negative in the body.
When you decide to communicate with your own body, you find your right size.
You go there, you're, you're who you are.
That's perfect.
And that's the place that one of the places we're working at now in our spiritual evolution on this planet is letting other people be who they are and where they're, they are, because that's important.
You've got to let everybody else kind of live, you know, if you will want them to let you live too, the way you are, by the way.
So I'm, I'm kind of going at it here.
And this is, this is a whole show on being in your body.
And I look at it from all different perspectives.
You can raise your own consciousness by starting to listen to your body.
And you can do that daily.
It is a daily.
Practice.
It doesn't have to be perfect.
You don't have to be some, you know, health freak or any of it.
So now speaking of health, I'm going to get into one of my favorite current rants, which is watching what you eat.
I'm not talking about, you know, fats or any of that.
I really don't care.
It's not about that.
It's about the cleanness of our food and watching what you put in your mouth.
And the way I see it is listening to your body.
What does your body want to eat?
What does it want you to feed it?
And more importantly than that, are you paying attention to what's in it?
So a couple of things I want to mention, you will find that when you start to listen to your body about the fuel you're giving yourself, the fuel, meaning that food you eat every day, and believe me, you are what you eat.
So choose wisely.
When you start to do that, you find you will have more energy.
It'll be easier to access you, your energy, your abilities.
To create the things you want to create.
To be able to do all that without having to live on a steady diet of coffee, which will just kind of rip your, you know, rip you apart after a while if you have too much of it.
At least that's what I always found.
I used to live on black coffee when I was pretty young and I realized one day, I can't create anymore.
I can't function.
I'm a spaz.
It's too much.
And for you, that might be the opposite.
You could love black coffee.
It's your thing.
I'm like, all right, I'm not going to get into it with you.
But just saying paying attention.
Working.
So here's a couple of things to look at.
What's in your food you're eating?
Are they genetically modified?
This is something to pay attention to.
This is a huge fight right now in this country.
GMOs and GEOs, genetically engineered, genetically modified food.
Pay attention because when you buy accordingly, you change what gets produced.
And people forget that.
Just as you are all powerful within yourself, you're not going to be able to replace ourselves.
When you start listening to your own body and your own spirit and paying attention to you, you are also very powerful in the marketplace by how you place your money, where you put it, where you put your money, where you put your energy.
That's where you create.
And so when you buy food according to what you really want and you become conscious of that, you change without having to go around telling anybody a thing.
You could do it very quietly.
But pay attention because look and see like what's in the stuff you're eating.
The FDA is not your friend, people.
I'm letting you know that.
But you can be your friend.
And there's a lot of people out there with good information about what is in food.
So getting in your body also involves that.
Listening to what your body wants, what it wants to eat.
And, you know, acting accordingly.
And it might be that here we are heading into the holidays.
You know, I know I'm going to be eating way more sugar.
And drinking more wine and doing things than I usually do at other times of year.
And that's fine.
I don't care.
It's going to be really fun.
I'm not going to sit around and try to be all perfect about it.
But I'll pay attention and then there'll be a time where I'll go, okay, you know, cut it off.
And just go into, you know, lots of salad.
That's my way of doing it.
But for you, it might be something completely different.
It's just simply what's your consciousness?
Are you giving your body what it wants?
And that's the important thing to listen to.
Now, I am Chris Cahill.
You are listening to Psychic Every Day.
I'm at skidrowstudios.com.
And we are real radio on the internet.
This is a pre-recorded show for my Wednesday, December 4th people.
And I thank you all for listening to it because I'm not giving readings live tonight.
But if you're listening now and on Monday, December 2nd, there is a number, 800-893-9562.
Talking about getting in your body.
Now, this is where getting in your body has to do with being psychic.
And this is what I want to really get into a little bit here.
Just going into all these things, and I could go into any section of what I talked about for days because it really opens up and evolves.
We are evolving in terms of how we see ourselves on this planet and with each other and in our own spaces and in our bodies and how we look at things.
It's all changing.
It's beautiful.
It's a beautiful time.
It can be a little bit silly sometimes or a little bit scary sometimes or a little bit uncertain.
It's a big time of evolution.
But if you start to really work with this place of your consciousness within yourself and paying attention to that, it's not a selfish or negative or narcissistic thing to do.
It's actually you saying, I'm going to be responsible for my own energy.
I'm going to take responsibility for what I do with my energy.
It's not just me.
For example, think of the person you know who walks into a room and everybody feels great because that person has just shown up.
That person might not be doing anything other than just being a calming influence.
It might be that just when they come in, everybody's like, oh, cool.
Everything's good.
Like it's grounded.
That person brings something with him or her that is a wonderful healing for the group.
Even if that is not, even if no words are spoken, even if no words are spoken, and they're not running around trying to fix everybody because that would actually be the opposite.
Somebody who comes in and tries to fix everybody sometimes creates a disruption.
And then that's the other example.
The person who comes into the room and everybody, you can watch the bodies in the room as the energy walks in and you can see whether people are more calm or in their space or feel good or everybody's got space or they don't.
They feel intruded upon.
This other energy comes in and takes over.
We all know those forces of nature.
They're not in their bodies.
They're not in their own space.
I'm not judging them.
I'm just saying notice the difference.
You'll see the difference.
You being in your own space, your space is your body and your spirit, by the way, that's yours.
But you being in there and really taking over that, like making that your domain because it is, that's the only place you get to control, by the way, on the whole planet or the whole universe.
The universe is your space.
And you get that going and you work that and you will have a huge effect, not just on your own life and in terms of what you are creating, but on everybody else around you.
You get in your own, you start healing your own body, you know, having a lot of validation within yourself about your own body.
Can you imagine that?
You might already have that.
But if you don't, imagine it.
Imagine really being in your own body and being healthy.
And you're happy to be there.
And not constantly comparing your body to someone else's body.
Or constantly, you know, worrying about your body, like trying to make it be something that it's not.
I have the most hilarious story about that.
Of course I do.
But anyway, when I was a teenager, everybody was wearing, it was a long time ago, I'm old, but everybody was wearing baby oil and laying in the sun in my neighborhood and getting tan.
So I think the mixture at the time was baby oil and iodine.
And I was like, I don't know, I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I have Irish skin.
That was not going to cut it.
And I tried, believe me, I tried.
I was so silly.
I really tried.
I got so sunburned.
And I think it took like my 15th year, my 16th year and my 17th year, you know, summer, and ordered for me to wake up and say, you know what, I don't really need to be tan because I'm not going to be.
This is just my skin and I have to like it.
And I didn't like it.
I was, you know, freaked out by how white my legs were.
I was ridiculous.
And so I decided to get over it because there was no fighting it.
And believe me, sun in or whatever, I mean, not sun in, that was for hair, but all the stuff you spray on to self-tan, it just turns me orange, you know, every time.
It's ridiculous.
So I finally decided that's it.
That's enough.
I'm just going to let my body be how it is with my Irish skin.
And now I'm so happy I stopped trying to tan because I didn't wrinkle.
So I like that.
My vanity works.
And you know, there's like less wrinkles than there could have been.
And I'm really, I'm grateful to that.
But this is what I'm talking about.
You have your own stories.
It's kind of funny.
Like we've all done different things where we've really been hard on ourselves for looking a certain way when we had this ideal of how we should look.
You get to forgive yourself and say, that's it.
I'm going to go with what I got.
Because you know what?
What I got, I chose.
What you have, you chose.
And it's good.
And if somebody is coming along, with their magazine or their advertising or their other dumb thing, trying to tell you it's not good, then I would actually raise my voice and make that heard.
But of course I'm a troublemaker.
I would do that, wouldn't I?
It's true.
If you keep your mouth shut and you let that energy sit inside of you rather than saying, no, I'm not going to, this is it.
I'm not putting up with this.
I'm just changing it.
I'm doing it for me.
And then you start to really stick up for yourself rather than thinking, oh, there's something wrong with me.
I have to adjust.
So what if you don't?
What if you don't have to change your body other than to be how you want it to be?
What if you don't have to change how you see yourself if how you see yourself is great?
Even if other people are telling you, well, you should be like this.
You should be like us.
You know, you're not doing it right.
You're, this is wrong.
Living in LA, it's very funny.
When I first moved here seven years ago, I was blown away, blown away by the number of advertisements in the back of the LA Weekly about changing your body.
You know what I mean?
Like all the, all the, the enhancement and all this stuff.
I'm like, well, of course it's LA.
You know, Arnold Schwarzenegger is the governor at the time.
It's weird, but I didn't believe how much there was.
And it was just, it just spoke to me.
It was just very sad.
I see it as being very sad when people are not, not happy no matter what they do with how their bodies are.
And so rather than go into ranting at them, I'm saying, hey, you love your body.
Be kind to it and start to really listen to it and give to it what it needs.
And your body will start to trust you.
Because that's kind of the point here.
You get into your own trust.
And I know I mentioned your abilities.
You start to get in there and you start to really listen and be with yourself.
And pay attention and give your body what it needs.
But you, the spirit, are in charge.
That's different from you, the critical mind being in charge.
You, the spirit, in charge.
And pretty soon you're going to find your body trusts you enough to let you open up and really have more of what it is that you want in your life.
Your body's going to trust you enough to let you have your abilities.
It is very, very difficult to turn on yourself and to let go of your abilities.
To let go of your psychic abilities and have them all working for you in a very smooth and happy way if you are not safe in your body.
And this is one of the most important things of this whole show that I just said.
This is one of, and I've learned this over the years.
I've actually learned this firsthand, realizing, oh yes, now that I'm safer in my body and I have less judgment about it, I can do this much more.
And I can continue to grow.
It's really hard to make changes in your life or to welcome in new growth or to open up to more sensitive levels of yourself, whether that's your clairvoyance or your intuition, your telepathy, your clairaudience, your mediumship, any of those things, if you're not safe in your body.
And also, here's another thing.
When you start to open up to other levels of yourself, whether that's you as the artist, you as the psychic, you as the creator, on any level, when you start to open up to those things, you'll be handling more energy.
More stuff comes in or there's more that you have to deal with.
So it's really important to listen to your body and take care of it so that you can also let go of that energy.
Being in your body means that you're the one who is friends with your body.
You're paying attention and then you will be rewarded by the kinds of, the kind of health and the kind of way of access, rather, to yourself that you'll have that you might not have had otherwise in the same way.
You can't try hard to do any of this.
You can't be an effort.
It's not about, I'm going to try really, really hard until I'm psychic.
I'm going to try really, really hard until I love my body.
Well, maybe you could do that.
How about just doing it?
It's a step-by-step process.
And one of the things that I've learned from this program is that it's not just about doing it.
It's about doing it.
It's about doing it.
It's about doing it.
It's about doing it.
It's about doing it.
It's about doing it.
It's about doing it.
One of the best ways I've seen that you can do that is meditation.
It's really a wonderful, just such a healing to be able to give yourself some space and get away from everything else you've been in and that's been around you and whether you've been in the middle of an energy tornado or feeling like you're coasting along and things are going great.
It's wonderful to give yourself space.
Take just a little break, a little mini break from the rest of the day and find a little time and when you start to regularly create a meditation practice, you change.
You really do create some different kinds of healing for yourself.
So by the way, the reason I'm not here on Wednesday, December 4th is because I'm working at Loyola Marymount University tonight teaching meditation to several different classes of people, all students.
And I did this last spring too and I'll be doing it again next spring.
But LMU hired me to come out and teach meditation.
And I'm going to teach meditation to help students with their finals.
Now the point is that they will, you know, it'll help them be more grounded and calmer and keep their minds calm and all the rest of it kind of really be in and remember more of their information and just feel more confident.
It's really a lot about all that.
But then they walk away from it with tools that they realize, oh, look at what this did for me in this stressful time of my exams, you know, of my finals.
And then they've got those tools for life.
And that's one of the things I love to, why I love to teach meditation and I do it quite a lot.
I also sell a lot of meditation recordings and record a lot of them and give some away.
And I do all this all the time.
My website has a bunch, but I had a woman who regularly, she's this year started to purchase some of my recordings and download some others that I've offered for free.
And she wrote me this really great email.
She's a golfer and she's, she's, used her, my meditation according to her to help her win a golf tournament.
So here's the letter she wrote me.
Hi, Chris.
I just had to let you know that your peace meditation has worked wonders on my golf game.
No kidding.
About a month ago, I listened to it in the early morning hours before the second round of a golf tournament.
I played pretty well in the first round.
I was four shots back going into the second and final round.
I played one of the best rounds of my life and I won the tournament.
Everything you said about being, at peace, being grounded, et cetera, helped me immensely on that day.
If you play golf, you know how it is such a mental game, especially under the pressure of a competition.
Dealing with staying mentally and physically relaxed, staying confident, shutting out the bad energy of other players, and most of all, staying in the present at all times is key.
Your peace meditation was key for me that day.
I can't tell you how much it helped me through that round.
And then she goes on and on and on to tell me about how she's had some of her lowest scores, and years.
Now, I am not a golfer, so I have no clue about what some of that means.
However, I understand the overall meaning, which is that it worked for her and she was very happy.
And it wasn't me that did that.
It was her.
You know, I might have had a meditation she listened to, but she's the one who ended up taking that and running with it.
And that's what you have too.
You have the ability, no matter where you are right now, wherever you're working, whatever you're working on, at any point, to start getting in and listening to yourself, to listening to your body, and starting to heal yourself.
And there's no too late on this.
You can start at any point.
And you can just make it part of what you do.
And it's not up to me, you know, whether that's the right way to do it, or up to some doctor that that's the right way to do it.
It's really up to you.
What is working for you?
And that can change over time.
You know, how you change as you grow up, as you get older, you may need some different things too, than you used to need when you were younger.
And so on.
And you know, as you take on more too in your life, there are different kinds of things that you might find, all of a sudden you really need.
Different music and so on.
I always find that that's like one of my big things with healing myself is music.
I'll be attracted to a certain tone or vibration or musician or something.
I'm like, I have to listen to this right now.
I know it's going to really help me.
And it always does.
It's emotional.
It's emotion.
So that's another part of being in your body is that you're actually listening to your own feelings and emotions.
Because that's the language of the body.
The language of the body.
And it's always, always telling you, always talking to you is feelings, emotions, sensations.
And it doesn't really stop unless you turn it off and don't listen to it.
And then you forget it's on.
It's there.
So if you can give yourself some time, you know, maybe start today.
Just sit down and go find a nice quiet place and, you know, not near a computer or a phone.
Turn everything off.
Don't cheat.
Just really go give yourself some space.
And give yourself a little time and close your eyes and, you know, just start to get in to yourself.
Listening, even if you just listen and start to notice like what's happening within me today.
And if you already have a practice, a meditation practice, you know, you already do it.
And I encourage you to keep that going.
Well, we're coming to the end of this show.
