We have a couple people Who play with us live For bigger events And just We're incorporating them More and more in the set But we write all the music together So it's kind of It's a trio Just want to fill out You know, here and there Fill out some stuff But Because we don't hold ourselves back In the recording process, really We do We service the song I mean, to a degree So I mean, we just want to keep it As authentic as possible To the record And You know, so Our friend, John Wells He plays on a couple songs Here and there He plays organ Right So Yeah, but I mean We're totally a trio We write and record all the stuff The three of us And you guys know for like Know each other for a while? Yeah, it's a real team effort Because we've known each other For 11, 12 years almost You know When did we meet? Yeah In St. Pete at a show Like when we were in high school A long time ago, yeah We're St. Pete In Florida That's where we're from We're from Tampa Bay, Florida See, that would have been Much more interesting If you said We're in St. Pete, Russia Yeah, right St. Petersburg, Russia And we learned to speak English And slow No Yeah, but we're We're loving it out here, man We came out here And we're I thought I heard Uh, uh, uh, uh Uh Uh That's what I heard I thought I heard Uh, uh, uh, uh Sounded like Popeye Yeah, you guys were speaking On something Like, um Where you guys from? Music? Yeah We're all into Like basically garage rock I don't know I can't I can't speak for Well, I mean I just feel like world music I mean Yeah It's kind of like If you have What is that called? A Venn diagram? You have the three circles Or the two circles It's kind of like We all have our own Like Like myself personally This is Mikey the drummer Speaking of levels Um Don't get nervous I think you're aroused He's a drummer He's a drummer Um You know like For me You ask me like What do you like? I saw your new website Yeah, it's a little It's a little Facebook It's an event, really The Facebook is just One of the platforms to let people know what it is But A few different people And myself are starting I guess like an interactive art show Where we're going to try to engage all the senses And And bring like Just make it really unique, make it what the people want So music, art, food, dining Beverages, but just have it be Really all about the interactive experience Engaging And we're calling it build Not pickle Did you say pickle earlier? We're calling it build What the hell? And I think the name says a lot You know, like when you hear the word build Like we were talking during the break about Levels The band name being used a lot Build is one of those words you hear a lot too And it's a key phrase, it's a strong word And so that's what we're Right on So we're going to have the first one on Friday, June 1st What's it going to be? I don't I don't currently I just sit at home and write and record I'm lucky enough to do so Because I have really excellent friends You know Yeah It's a priority of mine To get this record Done and get it supported In some way Yeah So we can reach a large audience I mean I just want to reach The largest audience possible At this point How long ago you guys record this? We finished it in late February But It's kind of been going on since November I mean That first song was recorded Maybe three weeks ago Yeah So it's kind of like We're just fresh Yeah It's all still happening Yeah It's all about I mean We've been watching a lot of stuff about Just keeping it Childlike You know Right Less is more Less is way more I mean Every song you love Less is more It's about being rudimentary You know Staying true To Pop music I mean We love shameless pop music At the same time But We love it We hate it You know So it's kind of like A struggle And then this pops out You know Sounds like taxes Around April Yeah Exactly Sometimes you love it For like five minutes Right And then like the fifth hour You're like Oh man It'll go away like that And once it's gone I'll hate a track forever You know But It's It's still so much fun So all of you guys write songs Or you only do the song We write together He's mostly the brain Of it all Like he has like Oh He'll be playing like Oh my god Did you hear that? His name was Joseph. He called the Chihuahua. I want some Taco Bell. I want some Taco Bell now. Doritos. Let me get the Mexican pizza. I'll skip it. So we're here at Piñata. That's my turn for the day. Burning time. We took a little break and we're back. We're doing just fine, right? Everybody's doing fine? We just came back. Everybody on their level? Everybody's on a different level. Everybody's got Chinese eyes. Fantastic. Do we have any colors? No, no, no. I can barely see you. I'm squinting. Yeah. You look big. You look kind of big. It's hot in here. Man, it's hotter than it's hot. It was a hot day. You bring the Spanish guys in here and it got fuego all of a sudden. Yeah. What style Doritos are those? It's hotter, man. I am the Nacho Cheese. They have a new Tapatio flavor. They have a new Tapatio flavor. I can't believe the news today. What's going on right now? What happened? Udos? Are we here? Have you heard the news today? Yeah. What happened today? It was about 85 degrees today. That was the big news. It was warm out. I think the big news is Obama acknowledging gay marriage. Oh yeah, yeah. I heard about that. That was hot. That was hot. So what is that? He said he's down. He's down. So what's going to happen now? He looks like what? Like Dick M. Gay? Show of hands. Show of hands. Who likes that? I can't hear you. Free love, man. Nobody off air can see your hands. I can't hear you. The lady's talking. The lady's talking. Please be quiet. Say what? Say it again. Do you think he piggybacked off of Biden? Yes. Or do you think that this is planned and like Biden kind of like set it in motion, set the gears in motion and then Obama was able to like, oh, well, since you're on the topic. Well, you know, he went for that. That is politics. It took him this long. That's why he's like, oh, I don't want to play politics. It is election year. People have said that. Don't ask, don't tell, Paul. Hey, I don't mean to play politics. Let's not be negative. Let's not be negative. It seems all like strategically like, you know. Yeah, for sure. Everything is. It's all strategy. It's all strategy. You know what? If George Bush were here, he would say, yeah, that's a good strategy. Yeah. Strategy Obama. That's a pretty good strategy. Evildoers are not the ones that are man on man, woman on woman trying to marry each other. They are not the evildoers. Oh, wow. They are those ones who can grow beards. And they're not from Texas. Talking about children. Exactly. I knew that's what he would say if he was here. I know. I can't wait, man. I can't wait. I hope she's using protection. I'm going to take a day off. You know, download the video. Light up some candles. Light eight candles. Yeah, dude. It's going to be special. Do you want to go to her house over there in Whittier? I'm down. And watch it in her front yard? I'm down. She's from the hood. She's from around here. A couple miles away. Shittier California. That's right. I seen her shopping the other day at the Albertsons. She had eight of everything. It was cool. It was just a matter of time, dude. Right. She has what? 14? What's the guy with the hack job? The wiener cutter? The wiener cutter. Who's that guy? Jon Bobbitt. Jon Bobbitt? Yeah, he did a porn. I think a lot of celebrities have sunk that level. Vanessa Williams. No, she didn't. Vanessa Williams did a porn? I think Stallone started with porn. Stallone started with a porn back in the day. That was the beginning of his career. She's got one hell of a start. You're going to get me in sick my cock. Do I not look like a young Stallone Pacino? You do. I wish everybody would. Especially when you do this. Stallone had a 60's Beatle haircut. Stallone had a 60's Beatle haircut. I look like a Fringo, Bob Dylan, Jolene Casablanca from the Strokes, a young Al Pacino from like 71, and Stallone got together and was like I guess we can make something out of us. They were the original Expendables and then out came me. I look like Ellen DeGeneres. I look like Ellen DeGeneres. Oh wow. And you look like the girl from The Fifth Element. Like Bjork's half sister. Yeah I see. So what do you play in the band? You play bass right? Okay. I was saying earlier you can tell by their personalities what instruments they play. But what girl doesn't play bass? Just tell me that. Girls like Rihanna? Bass or keys? They're either that or... They're battling between the mics. That was really cinematic right there. I like those shredder chicks. Sometimes you know. I met this one. But can a girl go hard without looking ridiculous? No. Like how hard? Screaming females? And she fucking totally just wailed. What do you guys think about that Dead Sarah album? It's like some people are calling it the best album of 2012. Which one? Dead Sarah. Sounds like she has a rip in her throat. Death? Dead. D-E-A-D Sarah. The Weatherman. It's all over 987. She's seen that face! It sounds like Sabbath but modern. But then it has a girly singer. She's gonna hear this one day and go... Is she in here? Very good. That's hard. That's hard. That's hard. That's hard. That's hard. That's hard. That's hard. That's hard. That's hard. That's hard. That's hard. That's hard. That's hard. That's hard. In the softest leather, I'm the weatherman. No one else more dedicated, I'm the weatherman. Well, I can't. You got me right, but the choice is yours. No side stand lets you in to turn against. Addicted to the love of ourselves, I'm the weatherman. I tell no one else, I'm the weatherman. So come on and kiss. Cause no one else cares. Silence. I mean, it's not, I'm not endorsing it in any way. It's one of those things like, it's getting talked about a lot. It's blowing up right now. I want to touch into the human psyche a little bit and like figure out why certain things work and why they don't. And it's just one of those things that, that's all. I'll give you the answer, my friend. It's called repetition. You play a song for anybody enough times, they're going to learn to love it. If they don't love the whole song, they're going to find something in that song that they do love eventually after they hear it enough times. Well, and keeping it simple, keeping it simple too. People are listening to Skid Row Skid Row. Over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over. So like after five minutes of this, then I probably couldn't like... Sing the song. Skid Row Studios. You are listening to Skid Row Studios. You are listening to Skid Row Studios. Skid Row Studios. Over and over again. Skid Row Studios. We are listening to Skid Row Studios. Please do it with me. Fuck that. Will you please have sex with me? At Skid Row Studios? At Skid Row Studios? Maybe. Skid Row Studios? That's pretty cool. That's awesome. That promo is awesome. Nice. For real? I can hear Charlene's voice in there. She has a show right after this show, and it's done at 9 o'clock. There's another show called Sexy Time. Sexy Time. So we get it nice and hot in here for her. Yeah, we just fill the room with the smell of musk and butt. It's got to be warm for girls to talk about sexy time. The smell of butt. I think we should start going again. Think of your shoes off. Why don't we take our shoes off right now? Let's take all our shoes off for a minute. A minute? That's enough. Let's all see if that's some Kavasi. Guando. That fucked up. Guando. It is. It's even better now that I know what it means. I had a block here that I wanted to play, but I think we're done with the Beastie Boys. I don't know, man. You can never be done, man. Never. I mean, right here in the show. Yeah, yeah. Well, we can play a bunch of Megadeth and Twisted Sister, if you want to. I love those bands. Those are my favorite bands of all time. I grew up listening to Iron Maiden. It's all kinds of stuff. You guys like Twisted Sister? Hell yeah, man. We like British Fiction. Anything with the name Sister in it is my favorite band. Like Twisted Sister, Scissor Sisters, Sister Shorty. My brother was a sister. Like, all those bands are my favorite. Sisters of Mercy. Dude, do you write this down and, like, come prepared? I don't know what my name is right now. Is that just, like, how you talk normally? He just talks. That's awesome. I think he's channeling, like, whatever. It's the club. It's definitely the club. It's a long island. It's the club, man. It's a long island. Yeah. Just walk across it. Just walk across the island. He's been drinking the margarita. This guy's been drinking the long island. Oh. Who's drinking the margarita? You have any more Babs up in there? Hey, can someone get me a Babs? I would love one more Babs. I can't reach it myself. Here we are. Honey, come here. I need you to open this with your toenails. Thank you. You can sit inside this room and just be by yourself and have this radio show. What do I owe you for this fine path? Oh, you know, it's your idea. I can go ahead and finger your old wife if you want. Well, you know what? You can take the wife. Well, you can take my dog. I'll take both, man. I'll take both. I'll tell you the truth, though. The dog's better than the wife is. I'll take him first, man. But if you want some delicious milk, you can go out and grab a lamb. They got delicious milk. Ooh, a lamb. They're exciting. Ooh, a lamb. A good. Ooh. Ooh, a lamb. Where's the lamb? Where's the lamb? Oh, you looking for the lamb? I love me some lamb. Ooh. Ooh. Ooh. Ooh. Ooh. Ooh. Ooh. Ooh. Ooh. Ooh. Ooh. Ooh. Ooh. Ooh. Ooh. Ooh. Ooh.
