So we are diving into the cult of personality.
And I'm going to start it off by talking about the reptilian brain.
Let me translate.
The reptilian brain.

And how this works.

This relates to what we do.
Yeah.
Okay, so what is it?
Well, it consists of the lower back brain and the brain stem.
It is the ancient brain.
Here, we experience the fight or flight response.
and yeah you know there are times when we totally need fight or flight you know let's say there's a big bus coming at you boom the reptilian brain engages and saves you you know it gives you that flight so that you can jump back into safety the problem is in this world many people have gotten stuck with the reptilian brain they've gotten stuck in a fight or flight syndrome because of relentless cycles of stress in their lives in addition to fight or flight response the reptilian brain breeds the aggressive behavior being territorial and it also breeds social hierarchies the grooves of the brain of thought and action known as the samskaras are deeply formed in the reptilian brain when this happens those individuals perceive the world around them to be a very scary place here is where a person takes everything personally constantly makes assumptions and seems hopelessly locked in survival mode so trip on this have you ever seen a playful reptile like yeah all right i'm gonna play with you reptile no no way no reptiles do not play or express joy they are focused on survival that's their trip how do i survive what's going on oh my god you know yeah they live in the most ancient part of the world they're not going to survive in the human club or in the human club or in the human club or in the human club or in the human club or in the human club or in the human club or in the human club or in the human club million years old hardware.
Life is difficult at best.

So we're going to get into this.

Anyway, so yeah We are talking about The cult of personality And the reptile brain How it interrupts our reality And we are living A majority of society Is stuck Stuck They're totally tripping.com, man Zip it up Zombies You know Remember when people would say The zombies are coming The zombies are coming Dude The zombies have always been there You know I mean, it's like Just look around You know I'm not saying everybody Not, you know Hey, kumbaya, my lord, right?
I'm just saying, you know There's a lot of people who just Don't know what they don't know What they don't know What they don't know It's amazing All right So when we think about Our personality We often think about How we show up at work At a party Or let's even take it back To high school, right?
Perhaps you were known As the funny one The cheerleader The loner Yeah, that was my favorite Because that was me, man Wearing all black Writing my poems Like, oh my God Life is so weird Right?
That is our personality That we attach ourselves to Right?
It's how we behave But when we take it into A yogic perspective Right?
Did you know That you're not alone Right?

And one that I'm working on is to go into all of these personalities.
Now, what I just said, a woman has anywhere between 16 to 20 different personalities and they're not authentic.
What?
They served you at one point.
So what does that mean?
When I do my Kriya, no joke, no joke, all right?
Kundalini yoga works and it's trippy and it's mystical and it's like, whoa, it opens up Pandora's box.
I'm seeing a different personality come out to play every two days as I do this meditation.
And I'm doing it for 40 days, for 31 minutes a day.
Okay.
And they're, you know, Kundalini yoga is going into crystallized energy.
Stuff that we don't even know that we know that we don't know.
Right.
So anyway, so that's the yoga perspective.
Now to finish off what I was just saying, the personality comes out, I'm able to see it.
And then all of a sudden it just completely what Kundalini yoga does.
It just releases it.
You no longer need that.
It's like literally you're expelling or, you know, it's like an exorcism comes out and it's like, oh my God, what was that?
You know, the trip on that.
Anyway, so, so we, so really we all work with a handful at least of personalities.
And there are some psycho spiritual authors out there like Carolyn Mace, where she goes into the archetypes.
And those are more accurate with the personalities that, you know, we're bringing to the table.
So I invite you to explore her work.
Behavioral psychology states that a personality is made up of the characteristic patterns of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that make a person unique.
Researchers have found while some external factors affect the personality, they're not necessarily the same.

It is true for ourselves and for other people that you are not going to get a full picture of anyone in any one moment.
Once we begin to transcend the emotional patterns and programs, that's when you start getting to the real person.

Many of the emotional patterns that people, that we all march with.

Many of the emotional patterns that we react from come out of conditioning from our parents and ancestors and the molecular structure of our DNA.
We store, process, cope with and react from emotions as our parents did.
And we also add to that by processing emotions as a result of our own experience.
It is important that we note that it does not mean that our reactions are right or wrong, but they should be examined to get, to our true self, our authentic self.

All right, so we are talking about the cult of personality and how many people are operating from the ancient brain, which is at the back of the brain, the brainstem, the whole thing, right?
And how it defines a lot of our interactions.
And then we've also highlighted how a lot of our emotional patterns come from our interactions with our loved ones.
Come out of conditioning from our parents, ancestors, and DNA.
Shocker, shocker, shocker.
All right, let's get a little deeper.
The body and the mind connection with spirit.
The body-mind connection with our personalities.
The layer to work through to get to our spiritual connections.
The layer to work through to get to our spiritual connections.
You'll find that it's all in a very similar way.
Head is tilted in a similar way.
Shoulders are either up or down in a similar way.
Their stride is similar.
That's a prime example.
Muscle memory.
DNA.
DNA.
Ancestors.
Parents.
It's a little trippy.
I invite you guys to, I don't know, people watch.
It can be kind of mind-boggling.
Note the families.
So understand that you too are communicating in this way.
You too.
It's a sign of just how easy it is to carry in our body, our ideas, our thoughts, and our agreements in this world.
For example, overthinking.
People who overthink will have their head way ahead of their bodies.
Like this.
Hold on.
Here's the thing.
Hold the camera.
Forward.
It's trippy.
Body language as a whole is a great, great science.
So if you look at the body as a trunk of a tree, you know, real physical and real manifest, the mind and the frontal lobe are the flower, the results.
Now, what the frontal lobe of the brain does is that it stores emotional memory and habits from the memory.
So when we are working with emotional energy being stuck or blocked or in a need of healing or transformation, when we are working with the emotional energy being stuck or blocked or in a need of healing or transformation, we don't just want to cut off the flower because it's just going to grow back.
We have to work with the root.
That's how we resolve things.
We have to really get in there.
So when we work with the frontal lobe in kundalini yoga, we loosen cemented in emotional connections into the body that are found in the body.
It gives us better access.
If you get that headache in front of the head or there's tension there or you're foggy, that's the frontal lobe.
That's all stuff within the frontal lobe.
If you have a stressful day at work or even an intense yoga set, that is usually happening when a lot of emotions have been dug up, and need to be processed and released.
Processing them can be overwhelming.
It really can.
Like I was at a teacher's training all weekend and my teacher, Krishna Kaur, she was standing right in front of me.
And we're talking, you know, it's another 31 minute like meditation.
And I believe I was doing sakriya at that point.
And what was happening was, you know, minute 15, it's like you start going, oh my God, how much longer can I do this?
Minute 20, keep going, keep going, keep going.
And then your body starts shaking.
Now that's a sign that you're starting to dig up the energy now.
Right?
So the eyes are closed in this particular kriya.
And she was standing right in front of me.
And her grace is so amazing.
Her beauty is so amazing.
Her radiance.
I mean, she's truly amazing.
Truly a spectacular spiritual leader.
So she's standing right in front of me, right, as I'm doing this kriya.
And my body's shaking.
And I open my eyes and I see her right in front of me.
And she gives me this look.
This like, you know, kind of like the call of the warrior.
You know, the spiritual warrior.
She just looked deeply into my eyes.
And I love communication without words.
She just pierced right into my eyes and said, you can do this.
You've got this.
Now mind you, all of us were like freaking out, falling, you know, like, oh my God, I need to, you know, get into this energy.
So the last 10 minutes, what ended up happening was I cried.
Because that's how intense it felt.
And nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing compares to a serious, dedicated, must stay on it.
Don't break the pattern.
Don't move.
Don't just keep doing the kriya.
And you're just like releasing everything.
That's what I'm talking about.
That's what I mean by an intense yoga set.
That's what I mean when we, you know, release emotions by digging it up.
That need to be processed and released.
That's what I mean by having it be overwhelming.
So it's really like, we look at it like a fireplace, right?
You do all of this work to get the fire going, but the top of the chimney is blocked, your frontal lobe.
Right?
So at this point, we want to allow the feeling and give it time to dissipate.
Nice and slow.
Stop adding fuel to the fire and start allowing the feeling to softly move.
In life, there's no magical cure outside of allowing consciousness and giving it time to process.
But because we live on planet Earth, ooga, ooga, ooga, ooga, where most people get in trouble is where we numb ourselves to avoid what's coming up.
We disconnect from ourselves.
We disconnect ourself from the problem in that way.
And really, that just means that we have to deal with it.
And really, that just means that we have to deal with it later.
It will not go away.
Remember, if you just cut the flower, it's just going to grow back.
Right?

You know, they'll happen from time to time.
But we've been exploring the reptilian brain personalities the frontal lobe why kundalini yoga goes after that crystallized energy.
So what's the benefit of all of it, right?
What happens?
Why?
How do we deal with these personalities that come up?
Alright, why even bother?
Well, the right frontal lobe is the architect.
It is there where we make the models of everything we want to create and manifest in this physical world.
The left frontal lobe is considered the seat of reason, logic, focus, and higher function.
The place in the brain where the perceived separateness disappears, leaving us open to oneness with all of life, seen and unseen, known, known, and unseen.

It is here that we experience life as it occurs without preconceived judgments.
Where we really taste things as opposed to remembering what they taste like.
Relying on memory.
Because our mind is elsewhere while we eat.
We also feel nature around us while taking a walk in the park.
And we're present to enjoy the relationships we have with people in our lives.!
So in other words, you guys, we become masters.
This is how you clear the fog, clear the programming, clear the basic reptilian nature, and clear the!
It's also where we clear these cover-ups that we have in life.
Like, for example, if you're overwhelmed, which will happen, right, without, you know, really taking care of your frontal lobe, you may, you know, in a cover-up world, you may apply perfectionism into your reality.

Or, if you're really bummed out, and you haven't really done the work, well then, you know, that's when you cover it up by playing the sad, sweet little girl so everybody can give you attention.
It's just, you know, there's all these things that get in the way.
And it's not real, it's not pure, it's not the authentic self.
So that's why we do this.
