Step Kids, Shadows on Behalf Shadows on Behalf I live in a place where we rolled around the pavement Like dancers to the bingaloo You came into me, a spark I couldn't see A breeze that I can hold on to And you're lying around that northern plain Where birds are humming free Staring at a 50 Last night's time we knew Our shadows on the aisle Oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh Thank you.

Ikebe is shakedown.
Started off the set with Monophonics, also out of the Bay Area, featuring Mr. Kelly Finnegan.
The vocals, they're out in France right now.
I think they're backing up Leon Clay's soul.
Looking forward to seeing them come back home to California real soon.
Drop Tones, you're currently listening to out of the Bay Area.
Great new band, man.
I'd like to hear some more from them.
Left Ones, I got a chance to visit Brooklyn, home to Ikebe's shakedown last weekend.
I found it.
It was delightful.
You know what's pretty cool is the diversity there.
And Los Angeles is pretty diverse.
There's no question about it.
But much more of a, I don't know, seemed a little bit more fluid, more of a melting pot out there.
And the food, oh my God.
And the graffiti game.
I mean, I know we can all make that assumption, you know.
Modern graffiti scene was more or less, more or not in New York.
But man, even just a small, you know, in LA you see the small little scribbles on the wall from time to time.
But even their game has stepped up on that stuff.
Little tags, little throw-ups.
I mean, it's straight beautiful calligraphy out there.
And I got the pleasure of hanging on a rooftop watching fireworks on the 4th of July.
Which is awesome in and of itself.
The fireworks were over.
I hear a collective yelling, clapping, hooting, tugboat horn pulling.
And just, I hear definitely all of Brooklyn and some of Manhattan from that rooftop just cheering at the end of the fireworks.
It was very nice to see.
Thank you so much, New York.
Thank you, Brooklyn, for hosting.
And I had a great time.
But it is nice to be back in Los Angeles, California.
That's where I'm from.
That's where I was born.
Probably where I'll die.
Hopefully not tonight, though.
Loved ones, you can always email me at radiosancho at gmail dot com.
That is radiosancho at gmail dot com.
Got some music for me?
You got suggestions?
You play music when you like?
Would you like to submit it for the show?
I'll listen to anything and everything.
The only prerequisite is it's got to have soul.
Radiosancho at gmail dot com.
I'm going to go have a meeting, too, with neighborhoodlove.com founder, Els, right after this show here.
And he's got a whole crop of new apparel they're going to be hosting on the website.
So check that out pretty soon on neighborhood-love.com.
Once you're on there, you'll click little buttons.
You'll see the link.
You'll click a little button there that says shop or products or something like that.
And you see, you know, t-shirts, apparel and whatnot.
By the way, if you like what you hear behind me, this is Pesce.
The gentleman's name is Paul Pesce, and he spells it P-E-S-C-E, but that's not what he's known for.
He's out of London, by the way.
Sort of a DJ musician.
He spells it phonetically P-E-S-H-A-Y.
This from his really pretty incredible LP last year out on True Thoughts Records called Generation.
You sticking around?
You want to hang out?
You want to hear some more tunes?
Cool.
I was hoping you'd say that.
I'm going to play a couple from, well, the first one's from Alice Russell, blue-eyed soul queen Alice Russell from the U.K.
And this is from her.
Solo LP, Two Dust.
The tune is called Twin Peaks.
That's also on the True Thoughts label.
And then after that, I'm going to play a Quantic tune.
You know Quantic, the world music golden child.
That tune is featuring Miss Alice Russell, and that's called You Will Return.
Also on the True Thoughts label.
And Quantic will be playing the Filter Magazine's Culture Collide Festival in Los Angeles this October.
So two featuring Miss Alice Russell.
Hope you enjoy it.

Will I fail?
I'm so afraid of what might I'm filled with fear that might bite what it is inside of me They say that you are the only one to talk some sense into me They say that you are the only one Take away this pain from me Can you see?
Can you see?
Tender with my heart Don't play with me Let's leave this game out Hide and seek Take what's yours Just leave me be They say that you are the only one to talk some sense into me They say that you are the only one to talk some sense into me Take away this pain from me can you see?

Tell me, did you learn?
All the truth we know Goes back into the ground You will return, you will return And what is gone will be again You will return, you will return And what is gone will be again So tell me, did you learn?
